We use to visit this place very often last year. For past few months we continued visiting only to find the place unhygienic and stinking, the entry is always crowded with delivery people and the sitting place was shabby to the extent that you felt like going out for fresh air. The quality of food served has gone down and the customer service is horrible. We ordered 2 appetizers and bhel pori, and felt of cancelling order after tasting one. Bhel Puri was fresh at all, was like eating leftover and one of the appetizers was tasteless. This place use to be our usual hangout spot but seems like they focus only on delivery and not in place service. Better not to visit this place until they fix things with the food and ambience. Don't know about how their delivery services are!

Worst ever restaurant. They charge separately for even plates and cups but they won't tell in advance. They give a surprise while payment. I've never seen a restaurant charging separately for plates and cups. They would've included in the item price itself. Food taste is also not that good. They take a lot of time to get food to your table. I don't suggest going there.

When u order a food , they charge for the plate. I was surprised to see a restaurant charging for plate for dining. Why dont you guys charge for the seat , spoon , AC , Chairs n all. What’s the charge for the food we are paying. When asked the attitude of the boss was so arrogant. Liked their service and recommend many in the past. Now I have decided never to step in again.

The taste of the food was good, ambience was good. Bad things is they provide disposable cutleries but they charge you 30rs(container charges) for that which is too high, even in small shops they use the same but they never charge it. So overall it becomes not worth for the money.

Horrible restaurant! Food quality inspection has to happen in this place! There was a cat running here and there in this restaurant and also near the kitchen area which is very very unhygienic thing for a restaurant. They won't even bother about the customer's health. Even after telling few times (about the cat) they didn't listen at all. If you've a kid or old people in your home please don't prefer this restaurant. Its dangerous.

The food is very good and tasty. You can feel the freshness in the food served. Good ambience and their packing was very good for takeaways. This is the cheapest and taste worthy for especially chats and sweets.

GOOD FOOD AT MODERATE PRICE. I just bumped into this place at 5 pm with a hope I would get something for lunch. At first I was skeptical about this place but after having the food I was happy. They served roti sabji at 5pm that was my favorite part. Felt like home. Pricing: 300 per head (proper lunch) Taste:4/5 Quality:4/5 Pocket friendly: 5/5 Service:3/5

Best for take away. Dinein experience is that, there are very few people who eat at the resto. So, the place is not so top-notch in cleanliness. However, the food is great.

Went here for snacks. The chaat items were a little overpriced for the quantity they gave but the quality was good. You also have rotis and thalis here but mostly chat items are moving well. They have special jelabis which are good but costs around 60 to 70 rs for 3 pieces. The ambience and service are good.

Personally I like this place, though it consists of only minimal dishes only wheat bread items the taste will be excellent. Most of the dishes will be heavily poured with ghee which will enhance the dish to the next level. Mostly they depend on online orders so when I dine in the restaurant it will be empty sometimes I feel awkward but overall a good place to spend time with your friends and loved ones. Would recommend the management to take little effort on interior works too. The AC will always be low and we can feel the heat. Please take care of your dine in customers too. Foods will be served in pakku mattai which is a nice initiative.

Pure Veg/ North Indian/ Jain Food. Writing this review after dozens of satisfactory visits here: If you are from Northern India and wish to have the authentic north indian taste, Mr Papdi is the place. They are pure vegetarian and even provide tasty Jain (Onion and Garlic free) food items. After a lot of experiments around Chennai, I found this place to be very honest with the purity and deliciousness. Highly recommended for experiencing the feel of sabzi and roti. Keep it up Mr Papdi. Suitable for kids, family and friends. Very courteous staff.

After seeing many reviews. A week ago, I ordered a combo through Zomotto. It was so good. They have provided 4 pulkas, chana masala, and masala buttermilk. Cost of the combo was two hundred and ten rupees and it's worth for money. Then I visited their dine in restaurant with my family for dinner. This is the most horrible experience I've ever had in my life. The first disappointment is the combos are not available in dine-in restaurant. Then I ordered Pulka, Parata, Panner butter masala, veg kadai, masala papad and a Veg Fried rice. All items are served on biodegradable materials such as plates, bowls, spoons, and so on. That was good for higine. However, the quantity become lower than other restaurants. Eighty rupees were charged for the papad, which was so small and not at all good in taste. They served the papad and topping separately, and there was no lemon on top. Pulka costs twenty-one rupees each and it is well worth for it. The pulkas are hot and soft. But Parata cost thirty five rupees each, and it was more or less a thick and triangle shaped chappathi. Since it is a Rajasthani restaurant, we cannot expect spicy dishes. But still, something is missing here. Because paneer butter masala and vegetable kadai both are average. They charged two hundred and thirty rupees each. Comparing with other veg restaurants, the quantity was very low for the money what we paid. Because I had been to a few Rajasthani and Punjabi restaurants with my friends. Comparing with those restaurents. Both curries are not up to the mark. The ultimate failure is veg fried rice. I never tasted that kind of fried rice in this world. It cost one hundred and eighty rupees. They used long-grain Basmati rice, but it was uncooked. The quantity is also extremely low for this cost. Since all the above items are sweet, we have requested them to make the fried rice a little spicy. I don't know what happened to that chef. He liberally sprinkled pepper on it, and we are unable to eat.Β Somehow we managed and finished that fried rice. Overall we are unsatisfied and the final bill was one thousand + for 4 persons.

Ordered through zomato. One full portion and one half portion of Gobi Manchurian. Food was delivered with unsealed plastic containers. Completely burnt taste. Not Fresh. Portion was only half on containers. Very much disappointed. Not worth for money..

Had vada pav, tasted authentic... Samosa and chutney were also good... Gud place for chaats, nyc ambience for chit chat, reasonable Price...drinks are though lesser in range and costlier too.

Value for money chat items and food. The service is quick. They serve everything on a biodegradable plate. May be an effort to reduce waste but, these plates are use and throw creating a large waste even though they are degradable.

I loved Mr Papdi at T Nagar, although it was a very small shop, with no seating. The Velachery branch didn't live up to expectations. My all time fav paneer roll was served cold, but then heated on request. The pasta was very average for its price. Pani Puri was good. Then BEST DISH was Gulab Jamun With Rabdi!! It is a must try!! Lesson from the visit- always order North Indian varieties at North Indian outlets.

We had a dine in. Ambience is good and service could be better. Taste of the pani poori was bad. But the Bhel puri and Aloo tiki was good.

Great for North Indian pure veg food lovers. Their Vadapav is the best in the town I would say. Being served is little delayed or with less verities when they have a lot of take away orders.

Worst service and attitude of the lady in charge. Waited too long and never received the order we places, the place was not even crowded. When asked about the order, the lady couldn't even give a reply, that too with very minimum num of customers. Visit this place if you have a lot of time and ready to wait more than 30 minutes for a plate of panipuri!!! These kind of outlets cater only swiggy and Zomato. Customers are clearly not respected. I wonder how in a metro like Chennai they are continuing with this kind of attitude towards people. Giving one star as I cannot give anything less than that here. Will never recommend it to anyone. Edit: Thank you Mr. Papadi management for the reply. I do hope that the experience will be different, the next time I visit.

I have ordered multiple times online from this restaurant . But this is the first time visiting the restaurant. We have ordered poori, masala puri, papdi chat and butter milk. Poori had its authentic taste. Papdi chat and masala puri was out of the world. Buttermilk tasted great. Literally the best masala puri i have ever tasted. I would give 10 stars for the service. The managing person was very kind. We both really felt comfortable. Will definitely recommend the restaurant for anyone looking for a decent spot to hang.

The Best Restro in Velachery. I travel a lot and eat food outside due to my profession. When I come home i prefer eating home food. Inspite of that I cant resist to go to Mr Papdi for the taste and quality they provide. Litti Chokha is my fav and no one else serves it better than Mr Papdi in Chennai. Must go place if you want to try some good food and a very reasonable price. Excellent service, excellent taste and well behaved staff.

I was carving for stuffed pooris on dusshera morning, went there at 10.15. Although the dine i time was from 12, the owner made us sit and offered fresh hot neemkis first, and then we had pooris and rabdi. Both were mouthwatering tasty.

My all time favorite restaurant for North Indian delicacies. I've been ordering from this place for several years now, and it's amazing to see how the taste has been maintained over the years. If you feel like trying out this place - do try the amazing parathas (all are equally good) and any of the paneer recipes.

Worst experience ever! Food taste is average and they serve it disposable plates - - strictly not acceptable They have a cat there and it used to roam everywhere - - just imagine the quality of food also it spoils the whole atmosphere. Note to owner: people are coming to eat at your restaurant not to play with your cat. Also the couple who manages the restaurant need to change their attitude! Please dont ever visit this place / order via swiggy ----Avoid it -----

Such a horrible place,I have ever seen. Plates were not even clean properly. Service is pathetic. They still need to organize how to get the orders and proceed till the billings. They don't have systemic operations. I strongly recommend not to go this unhygienic shop.

Good place to hang out. Taste was average (3/5) - can be improved though. Waiting hours are long, had to wait close to 30mins for Dahi Papdi chaat and Aloo tikki chaat. Serving in disposable platters are quite disappointing.

I visited this restaurant on a Friday eve. Crowd was okay and was pretty easy for the staff to manage. Ambience of this restaurant is okay and decent. The order is taken by only one waiter along with the owner. Service is really good. No need to follow up for our orders again and again. Taste of the food is pretty decent. Among the food I ordered I was quite disappointed with the paneer kaathi roll. It was undercooked and very cold. I must say it was the worst kaathi roll I have ever had. I provided the feedback to the owner of this outlet and she was quite a sport to accept and assured me of giving a look in to it. I hope the feedback is taken seriously and they go on an improvement track. The waiter Mr Rajan did an exceptional job. Purely professional and a calm and a cool headed guy who looks after his customers pretty good. Note: I visited this outlet on 20-Aug-2021. With Regards, Hitessh Jain
