I was a regular customer in the good old days when this branch was opened in Velachery and attracted hundreds of customers every day. I should say in the recent years A2B's quality and service across places has gone down to the bottom, lifeless and in the brink of a collapse which is saddening.. Coming to this restaurant, I opted for a dine in dinner after an evening show. Food quality - 3. Mushroom pepper - 4. Definitely the best ,their Chinese items are good. Chapati was OK, Kurma was not at all hot, just like warm Ghee roast with Chutney, Sambar - 3. Dosa was good. Sambhar is not so great. Service - 3 Cleanliness is worse. The place was untidy, no staff cared about cleaning empty plates around. Bathroom sucks, stinks and unhygenic incase you have to use the restroom DONT. Staffs were courteous, abundant parking so no issues with that.

There is a pastry shop and a grocery store attached to the building. The tiffin corner in the back is self-service. The restaurant is very spacious and has many seats. The service is smooth and the meal is delicious. The snacks were also popular, and there was a line of customers waiting. I would like to try it next time.

Big outlet with limited parking. Crowded most times. Looks like a factory. Self service in lot of tables. I bought lemon juice. The guy filled water from a pipe and he says RO water. God knows. He then put one big amount of sugar!!! Not teaspoon. But ten spoons.its called sugar water. Even coke will not have that much sugar content. Nobody bothers to attend to u. U have to walk in and walk out!! No dining experience whatsoever. Parking is limited and chaotic. There is fruit stall also here. There are much better options in the area. I would not visit again even for a cup of tea.

The shop serves many items. It's available in the highways and various countries. The rates are very costly. I didn't like the process of self service Pro : The tiffin are very fresh and tempting to eat with the right quantity of items. Con : Some combos can be initiated during festival times. It's self service in some branches. The bill queue fully and crowded. Ratings Taste. : 4/5 Quality : 4/5 Service : 3/5 Ambiance : 4/5 Innovative : 2/5

Hi readers, I had already given a detailed review of A2B Chrompet with photos and the response was too good as many felt that, it was helpful. Now I am going for a detailed review on A2B Velachery. No wonder A2B maintains the same standard in all their outlets and follows the SOPs as the taste was the same everywhere. I think A2B Velachery is one of the biggest outlets in Chennai. There is ample space for Car Parking and two wheeler parking. We had ordered for Paneer Tikka as starter, and a South Indian Meal and Roti with Paneer Butter Masala. All the dishes were tasty and was appetising. We also had some deserts like juices and ice creams and the Chocolate ice cream was out of the world. We had ordered some sweets packed home too and when tasted the Paneer jamun was very unique and tasted good. Fyi A2B Velachery has a party hall too. One big party hall to accommodate around 200 guests and one Mini Party Hall to accommodate around 50 - 70 guests. I shall post a review of the Mini Hall and the Menu for the lunch for these halls too shortly which shall be of useful to all readers I believe. Have attached some photos of the parking and the dining for your consideration. I strongly recommend this place for all residents of Velachery and also for those people who cross Velachery. A must try family outlet with enough space for the family to sit and enjoy their food.

Definitely one of the finest veg restaurants!!!! They have so much variety without any compromise on quality... Their Chinese and North Indian dishes are as good as the south Indian ones... This branch has nice parking, friendly service, and also has sweets, fruits and vegetables shop nearby.

This place at Velachery was very crowded before Pandemic but now (Oct 2021) I see less crowd. You have a mix of Self service and table service. Don't get confused and look around to see which tables are marked for what type of service. Food delivery is OK, taste and quantities are just adequate. Few cars can be parked.

If you wanna face worst ever food , service and everything definitely i would suggest this A2B outlet to all. They have 2 order counters but they will never open the 2nd counter even in a peak hours. You have to wait in a queue and their servers will treat as like their slaves. If you don't have any self respect and don't want any self respect you can visit this restaurant. Here the way of working is so poor. Here coming to the main issue which i faced here. I was ordered one Veg pulao , Curd rice , rasagulla and veg roll. 1. In veg pulao , i seen a caterpillar with deep fried ( Screenshot is attached in this review ). When i asked about this to manager , he softly not answering anything to me. The food quality is biggest question mark here. 2. In curd rice , they served with potato. In that potato i seen a hair and after that i didnt touched anything in that rice and potato. Unfortunately , i didnt taken photo of this. 3. Kitchen counter is clearly visible to us , i am seeing one person taking the rice in bare hand and making the fried rice. I am seeing all this drama from outside of the counter. Zero food quality maintaining by their management. Most of the working people are coming from northern part of india they dont know how to serve the people. Even when we asking anything , they clearly denying everything. A2B management should work on the process. Pros : Parking Sweets and Snacks is good Cons : Pathetic service Zero food quality Worst attitude by service staff Only one counter in peak hours Managers not looking up the customer experience

The first of the many A2B outlets. Definitely lives up to the hype. Their rawa onion dosa is something I can eat everyday for B/L/D. Loved their mini tiffin and kesari as well. I also bought their podi and curry leaves paste which I am having with ghee rice almost every day.

Self service place is not given much attention. Parcel orders are given more priority making self service people to wait for more than 30 mins. Food taste is very good. Hand wash in self service area is not satisfactory.

Food was ok. Ambience is noisy... Service was very good. Avg expense 250 per person. We visited on a sunday evening around 5 PM, it was fairly crowded, peak hours might further attract more crowd. There is a fruits and veggies shop (A2B green) attached to the restaurant, easy for us to complete the veggies shopping too

A2B is an authentic vegetarian restaurant in our state. They serve traditional vegetarian food. Their breakfast is tasty and mouth-watering. You can order combos for breakfast. The lunch portions are very generous. A very hygienic restaurant in every sense. Every customer is treated with pleasure, and the service is excellent. The neat environment gives us a pleasant feeling all the time. The restaurant is ideal for this. I always feel good and satisfied after having food here. Sweets and savories are also available. You can find ready-to-eat rice mixes made with high quality ingredients. I highly recommend this shop all.

Well located. Third wave corona time visit. Customers are sparsely sitting. Waiting period more. Attenders are less in number. Orders are delayed. Billing issues. No more panic in the faces of customers as far as corona is considered. Face mask wearing customers are less. Yet customers enjoy food. I my wife and driver took food. We purchased sweets also. Adayar Ananda Bhavan stands valid in public responsibility.

Food was good. Staff supervisor behaviour is worst. Shouting waiters front of all customers. Expensive too.

  • 3/5 Prem K. 3 months ago on Google New
The quality and taste of food were below average. They were one of the best restaurants earlier, and we could feel that they are gradually losing their quality. Perhaps there are lots of branches and focuses on more expansion, they are not prioritising the quality and taste.

It is the safest place to eat, whenever you are. The quality and the quantity of food is always constant. Lovely place for all kind of cuisine.

Ambience is so good compared to other A2B outlets and food as always delicious and quality which is convincing us its fine for the prices they are offering. One thing we must point out is they dont keep the water on all self service table sometimes and glasses are not cleaned sometimes(Experienced). Once you ordered we should have little patience till we get the food as there is always rush at food counters Toilets and hand wash are always clean and ample parking space and well equipped to handle the wet floors during monsoon seasons too. Bill counters could be more faster and management could shuffle the person on every couple of hours as it is tiresome task for anyone to do whole day Overall.. Its nice place to have food

Huge space for dining.. no need to wait.. car parking for 20 cars manageable. Variety of south n north indian items and huge varieties of snacks n savouries making it a repeat visit place.. service can be improved for speed and Tamil speaking waiters not there. In meals, oil can be reduced for kara kozhambu and too spicy sambar can be adjusted. Otherwise a good restaurant..

Had South India Meals and Mini Meals (Sambar rice, Veg Pulao, curd rice, sweet and chapathi). All the items are good and a lot of food items are available. Their brand ingredients are also available and fresh fruits and vegetables are also available but prices are a bit high..

if you're in Chennai and craving a delightful food experience , look no further than this hidden gem. With its irresistible flavors, welcoming ambiance, and exceptional service, it truly deserves the title of the best food spot in the city. this place offers generous portions at reasonable prices. The sheer quality and taste make every penny worth it My rating was Ambiance : 4/5 Quantity :4/5 Taste :4/5 Hygiene :4/5(toilet was not need that much but they have separate sanitary pads disposal machine inside which is not seen in this city that's y I give 4)

It mentions like ghee roast it costs almost 164 rupees per dosa in swiggy which is huge amount for dosa and image of the picture is good , i though it would be so crunchy but i felt like eating plain dosa. Better need to try dine in once and will update it

This outlet has good space and that's the reason it was chosen for a bulk order. Food taste was good, nice ambience, quantity as per normal minitiffin and the one served was lesser and different Some miscommunication and the hotel management didn't deliver as committed, changed / removed items from combo and served lesser portions. This was quite disappointing and customer taken for granted. Customer should beware of these tricks by the management and take care

  • 1/5 Sathish G. 2 years ago on Google
Can't complain about food. Ambience and infrastructure are good. But poor customer service. Bearers simply don't care. Supervisors don't bother why no one came to my table for about 40 minutes. This occurred even when customers were few at the time (6 PM). General attitude leaves a lot to be desired. Hope someone will do something to improve the state of things.

  • 3/5 Kumar S. 2 years ago on Google
Good quality of food stuff in dining but lack of supervision. Likewise in the sweet stall sales staff & cashier are lethargic. Even no proper packaging done. Needs due care & hospitality in general.

Recommend plce to have typical South Indian foods while you drive via MBR. Friendly staff. Fodd was in avarage level. Parking spaces available

Some decent selection in food options. Taste is good. Self service option is there. Love the small section of snacks and other savories in the front. Not much of an ambience. Overall a good experience

Very good place. Neat ambience. Covid SOP's followed well. Restrooms can be maintained even better.

  • 4/5 Mamta J. 2 years ago on Google
Post covid, i dread dining out in air conditioned spaces which is the only option most restaurants, food joints provide. This branch of A2B has both Ac and non-ac dining space which is a bounty. We had chola bhatoora, that has a sumptuous punjabi taste . Usually the bhatooras are good, other day they were slightly less fried and difficult to chew. We finished with the filter coffee, they serve best in the traditional steel glass and katori.

  • 1/5 Fathima 2 years ago on Google
Very poor service, self service also too bad. Evening time chat items too not available. Very much disappointed. Got the items late and cold. Taste wise good. 2 stars only for taste. Otherwise 1 star. Vessels not clean, Spoon were dirty, we only washed it. Staffs were rude. Really first time disappointed in a2b. I've tried many branches in Chennai, but this is worst experience😫 🤔😫😫

  • 4/5 Mohankumar N. 2 years ago on Google
Very slow service. When I swiped my debit card in vegetables section they informed me that it is declined. Surprisingly I used the same card for purchase of sweet and snacks and I was able to make payment by card. I am not able to understand the strategy behind this

We Chennai people like A2B as our Thai Veedu. Food and service always good and standard they maintain. Even in this Pandemic situation they do keep all to our satisfaction.

Very spacious eating place. Very neat and clean. For kids they have the baby high chair. We can also get food by self service or via employee service also . Nice taste. More than 30 to 40 tables available . So we ll get table to eat whenever we visit

  • 5/5 Anand T. 2 years ago on Google
If you're looking for superb vegetarian food served in a jiffy, this is a great place. The staff are courteous and all of them follow the protocols necessary after the pandemic. Their menu is vast and their collection of sweets is even more extraordinary. Plenty of parking and in such a busy spot, it checks all the boxes for a good restaurant.

  • 1/5 Kasi C. 2 years ago on Google
Horrible restaurant with horrible service. The cashiers are rude. The food is late and the manager himself is the master of rude. My gpay had paid the bill three times and they are yet to refund me. They have to pay me back 3 times since I never got the food. They still have the money and they stop picking up your calls. They will constantly pass the buck to their invisible finance department. So in conclusion, they gave me no service, no food and have 3x my bill amount safely stored in their bank. What a joke.
