With the name and popularity I entered this restaurant with a hope. But 🤐😬 not good I personally did not like the taste. Don't know how people say it is good Briyani. One thing I like is it is value for money for paying Rs. 230 they give enough quantity where as other restaurant quantity will be very less.

When we are ready to spend our hardly earned money on a biriyani, we expect the experience to be satisfying but what happened at the Salem RR Biriyani, Velachery branch was quite the opposite . We arrived at the shop by 2 pm on 20th October after college which is usually the lunch time hoping to eat a satisfying biriyani, but the bitter experience started from the very beginning. The waiter paid little to no attention to us at first literally passing by us without even getting our order. Next we were told that there was no chicken biriyani even though it was just 2 pm. So we were forced to buy the "overpriced" mutton biriyani. We were able to identify that it was a mutton biriyani thanks to the three tiny pieces at the top and the serving quantity was pathetic for a 330 rs biriyani. We thought that the ac was operating and didn't know that it was just for show. The lights were flickering too. Overall the worst experience and won't recommend visiting it.

Chicken 65 Biryani was really good and loved it till the last bite. Ginger chicken was crispy and delicious. Overall quantity is worth the price and packaging is great.

I was ordered mutton briyani taste not good pieces also less and hotel not clean and hygienic, cockroach roaming on the table. I complain to cashier he is very lethargic.

The level of service I received was nothing short of appalling, and I feel compelled to share my terrible experience. I arrived at the restaurant on a Sunday around 2pm, expecting to enjoy a decent meal. However, from the moment I stepped foot inside, it was clear that something was terribly wrong. The first red flag was the complete lack of attention from the staff. I stood there waiting for someone to take my order, but no one approached me for a staggering 15 minutes. It was as if I was invisible to them. Finally, a waiter reluctantly made his way over to me and informed me that the dining time was over for the day. I was taken aback and couldn't comprehend what I had just heard. I asked him why they would refuse to serve me when I had arrived well within their operating hours. To my disbelief, he explained that the reason behind this was their overwhelming number of online delivery orders. According to the waiter, the restaurant was prioritizing their online delivery orders, leaving little to no attention for customers who actually took the effort to dine in. He even mentioned that there were numerous customers and delivery partners who were engaged in heated arguments with the staff, all desperately trying to get their orders fulfilled. The chaos and commotion were simply unbearable. As I looked around, I could see disgruntled customers shouting at the staff, demanding their orders to be made. The entire place was overcrowded, with people anxiously waiting to receive their parcels. The situation was so chaotic that there was no space to even move or exit the restaurant. It was an absolute mess and left me deeply disappointed. This experience at Salem RR Briyani has left a bitter taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively. The complete disregard for customers who chose to dine in, the lack of attention and service, and the overwhelming focus on online delivery orders all contributed to one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. I would strongly advise against visiting this establishment if you value good service and a pleasant dining experience.

The food is not upto the mark and i don't think it can be compared to other salem Rr briyani restaurants in chennai. Personally, I felt they are lot of things to be improved in presentation of food, serving and in customer friendliness. The servers aren't responsive to us and they didn't even care to listen to us.

Mutton Biryani is unique with a boiled egg and raita. Chicken 65 was prepared fresh and good spice gives a nice taste. Would recommend for food lovers.

Worst place to have food with family . Extremely Poor service. I would suggest they must definitely improve the quality of service and the way they behave with the customers. From the moment we entered the restaurant they kept telling this is not available,thts not available for everything we asked. Most importantantly the way they answered was soooo bad and irritating. There was no water even to wash the hands and we waited for a long time .when we asked for tissues they just said no we don't have with a staring gesture. We were like how come they be soo irresponsible . Worst worst worst experience.

Very bad experience. Taste and quantity everything was good. But we got admitted in hospital due to food poison on the very next day. We were affected with vomiting and loose motion. I have eat so many biriyani in so many shops. I was never affected with food poison. This is the frst time I was affected with food poison.

Make custom orders to define your taste. Non-ac room. பரோட்டா தோசை நன்று. தந்தூரி good taste but I asked to cook well. Ambience will make you feel very normal. Cost effective.

Just saw a lot of 1* reviews for Salem RR Biriyani here, but I guess I have a slightly different review. Visited this place for lunch on a Sunday and the waiting line for take away was really huge. We settled in quite soon and the ambience was a biggggg bummer. The AC was on and the doors opened which kept the restaurant so hot. Water water everywhere on the floor and it was quite a bummer again when it came to the ambience. There was only 1 person taking orders and serving and it did take a long time for the food to be served. But the biriyani was amazing. We ordered one egg and one chicken biriyani which 3 of shared. It was a good portion sized, mildly spiced and super flavourful biriyani. The brinjal curry was amazing and no complaints on the onion raita. And they don't serve a portion of sweet like many other biriyani places. Overall, you can visit them for the biriyani and the best option would be is to choose it as a take away than dining.

We went on 24th June lunch with family.We had a very bad experience with the waiters. The waiters were very rude on us. They treated us very disrespectfully. That lunch time was very stressful for our family because of the waiters. The waiters refused to serve us juices and soft drinks inside the restaurant. Quality biryani restaurants are on OMR road. So pl avoid salem RR OMR branch.

One of the worst experience I didn't get in my life because I don't even dine in I gone for the parcel but there they didn't yet planned to give in the particular manner they can even control the crowd proportionatrly the get rugged mannerism to the customer and i have waited nearly 1 1/2 hrs to get single chicken biriyani so bad.....

I ordered a chicken biryani.Biryani was burnt and the chicken they was not fresh.After I took a bite something was not right, Either the chicken they use is frozen or the meat is not good.The rice was not fully cooked it was dry and hard to swallow.

Lousy ambience. Waiters doesn't seem to have given proper training. No manners at all. After serving the food (rather dumping) on the table, the waiter suddenly took out one broken piece of the eggshell with his bare hands from my wife's biriyani 😳😳 So sickening to have had such an experience🤬🤬🤬 If Salem RR proprietor continues giving franchisees like this, the reputation of his chain of restaurants will definitely loose it's charm and goodwill 😡😡 I'll never recommend this restaurant situated in Velachery to anyone. The quality of biriyani has come down. No smell and only full of spicy. It gives a feeling that you are eating a spicy rice. It is honest Review. I informed the waiter about the spicy but there was no much response. Don't waste your money. Request management to look into this else you will loose your customers

Ordered parotta from zomato yesterday, worst food I ever had,and today am unwell as a result of small portion i had yesterday, parotta was expired one and salna they provided was very unhygienic with many tiny hair in it, instead of trusting these restaurants we can eat in street shops, Why these restaurants were playing with customers health. An immediate action should be taken.

Both chicken and Mutton briyani taste is very average. More masala so don’t expect like marriage style briyani. I bought it based on my experience in the previous store located in Velachery bypass road.

I have purchased from ekaduthangal branch. Pls dont give authorisation to the branch. Totally different from rr briyani taste. Raw boiled rice taste less and useless.
