Extremely Disappointing Experience - Strongly Advising Against This Hotel I recently stayed at your hotel and the overall experience was far from satisfactory. Firstly, the airport limousine service we booked through the hotel was severely lacking. Our pick-up was delayed by an hour, and the staff's response was both unprofessional and unapologetic, leaving us waiting for an additional 30 minutes. Upon reaching my assigned room (1601), I encountered a recurring noise every 10 seconds, preventing me from getting any sleep. Despite relocating to room 1806, the problem persisted with loud sounds from the bathroom above, making the stay unbearable and comparable to budget accommodations. The breakfast options were disappointingly plain, falling well below the standard expected from a purported 5-star establishment. To cap off the disappointing experience, the airport limousine we booked turned out to be a regular blue taxi, contrary to the promised 'Limousine' service. When we raised our concerns, the staff displayed rudeness, insisting that the subpar transportation was justified by the payment made. Overall, my experience was marred by a series of inconveniences and a lack of professionalism from both the transportation and accommodation services. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this hotel to any friends or colleagues based on the issues encountered throughout my stay. The advertised 5-star rating does not align with the substandard service provided.

Get to stay for 2 nights at the Westin. They kindly upgraded our stay to a one bedroom Westin Residence for the whole stay because of Bonvoy Platinum Elite Status. A great stay overall. It is strategically located at the heart of Bukit Bintang. Right across the Pavilion. The service was fast. They got a small gym but that’s not a big deal. The breakfast variety is wide too.

I recently stayed at this hotel and I have to say, my experience was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I walked through the door, the staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The room was clean, spacious and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast selection was excellent and the food was fresh and delicious. The location was also great, with easy access to public transportation and local attractions. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable stay and I will definitely be back in the future! Five stars!

I stayed in 4 hotels in Malaysia over a week, this has to be the best I have stayed at. Right from the start after a long flight, the staff couldn't help any more than what they did. A small problem at check in, but was corrected quickly and even got an up grade. The rooms were great with everything you would need. It also had a great view over the city. Breakfast choices were great and of a high standard, staff always made sure you had everything you needed. So a thanks to the staff and management for a great stay and I can say I will return. 5 BIG STARS.

Located right in the heart of Jln Bukit Bintang opposite the Pavilion mall, the Westin KL definitely has one of the best locations in the city centre. It is showing its age a little though and rooms and pool area are probably in need of a refresh already. The service wasn't the warmest we've had and it was definitely busy in the lobby at check in. The lounge looks very pretty and inviting and the gym is well equipped. The games room with table soccer, table tennis and mini basketball was fun for the kids. There is a pool table and air hockey available in the bar area next to the pool. ✨️

Unfortunately, the hotel is rusty & too old. Most Furniture too old & damage. Electrical plug damage next to bed. Drinking Water is a refilled manually. Lighting is too low. Water in the shower sinking slow. Overall, it has a maximum 3 stars hotel. badly needed to renew everything. Location & breakfast variety are the only positive things.

Probably the best hotel location in Bukit Bintang - right in front of the famous Pavilion mall. It is a large hotel, so naturally it gets very busy with guests constantly checking in and out. Good thing is that the staff were really efficient and were friendly and helpful. The suite is very large and adequate. The kind hotel staff specially prepared lovely amenities which we really appreciated. Opening the curtains reveals an amazing view of Pavilion. Breakfast at the basement restaurant was alright, but not amazing. Hotel guests can use the spa facilities like jacuzzi, sauna and steam room which were great! Overall it is a no-fuss hotel with everything you can expect from a 5-star brand.

Since it’s covid, we were not able to travel overseas. So I decided to book Westin for our staycation honeymoon. We also made a valentines dinner buffet reservation as well. One day before valentines and our check in- I have received a call from Ezen Teoh informing me the valentines buffet has been cancelled and offered me with a Valentines set with the buffet price which was way cheaper. However the menu was not at all interesting, I declined his offer politely and also told him that should have informed earlier but it’s ok but Mr.Ezen did not reply or say sorry. During our check in, the front desk Charlotte was not friendly. There was no welcoming vibe from her. Upon arriving to our room, we realised there were some birthday cake left on the table and was expecting a honeymoon welcome but it was not. But the those who works in breakfast buffet and the room service boys was very friendly and helpful. Westin showed me that those with lower qualifications and those who works in kitchen has better values than those with qualifications and higher position. I’m a person who stays in hotel very often, doubletree, shangri-la, Sheraton, four seasons, JW Marriott, St. Regis staffs are much more welcoming. Hope Westin will look into this.

Attended a wedding there. For around 30 tables,, the ballroom feels a little squeezed with tight space for moving around. The wedding banquet portions were generous and food quality is fairly good. The service staff were attentive and responsive. A huge a drawback is the tight car park at the basement. Don’t drive a big car there.

Westin KL staff is committed to make guests comfortable. It is conveniently located on Bukit Bintang in the heart of the KL city. The rooms are spacious and neat. The hotel must improve its selection of vegetarian and vegan options for guest. The current selection and taste is suboptimal and very disappointing. This is especially important in today's global world where more people are traveling across the globe. Hotel is playing its role to become green and only provides water in glass bottles !

Good location and great staff all around. The resident was reasonably spacious but the hard product could be improved further - small little things like lick of paint here and there and complete set of crockery would make the stay perfect. But the location has pretty much everything going for it. Plus the Lounge has consistently good choices - varied options on the days we had breakfast and evening cocktails. Overall, good stay.

Great hotel Location. Been upgrade to the Residence because of Titanium status. Room was Huge with fridge. Microwave. Small kitchen. Service was Awesome. Great Thanks to Wiki at the front desk for answering all our questions. Give 3 stars for the room since The maintenance staff have to come 4 times during my 10 days stay to Fix temporarily the AC. Frustrating.

Excellent service and great hotel residences. We stayed 2 weeks for work and holiday purposes. The facilities are great, and the customer experience is superior. Ensure that you have Westin club access. Kudos to Concierge Najib and Manager and Chef Said. Congratulations guys. And thanks a lot.

Truly a 5 star hotel with the services and the rooms provided to tourist. The breakfast and dinner are filled with many choices and always served fresh out from the kitchen. There's also a tons of places to explore nearby like the Pavillion Bukit Bintang or Lot 10. The only bad thing is how narrow the parking lot is, any new driver could scratch their car while parking their car.

Looking young is a curse being at this hotel. Staff probably thought I was a child (I’m 25 years old), was not welcoming and did not treat me like other guests. You can tell the difference between them greeting others and not noticing you at all. Some days I would greet the staff a good morning but I would never get the same level of respect. I stayed there for weeks and I regret spending my time & money there. :/ Food was average. Room service, food came wrong. Bed was comfortable. Location was alright, close to KLCC but nothing else was in a walking distance. Cleanliness was top-notch.

Stay in with family suite, the property not maintain well, the appearance rundown and when we ask to the receptionist and she say it is 20 years old property, this is not the answer I expected. Overall room cleanliness 2 star. However, breakfast and buffet dinner is very good, plenty of food and you can select local and foreign delight as your wish, I 'm good to give 4 star for food.

went for a buffet here and honestly the food is not that great for the price you pay here. the food options are not that many and the environment doesn't feel exquisite. you can find better options with the same price range. even the pool is not that pretty to take photos. final verdict, just okay

Came here for work - stayed on the club floor which had access to the club lounge and late check at 4pm. The rooms are large but somewhat dated. Service is very friendly and helpful, house keeping could be improved. The gym is decent and you have everything you need to get your workout. The pool looked decent but not for laps but rather chilling out. The sauna was a little cooler than I would like normally and they don't have water nearby so bring your own. Breakfast at both the lounge and the restaurant on the 1stbfloor were great... Huge selection of items on the 1st floor. Overall a great hotel and worth staying.

Only stayed here one night but it was a wonderful stay. I was given an apartment suite, which was enormous with gorgeous views of Bukit Bintang. The bed, furnishings and bathroom were all excellent. The neighbourhood is extremely busy on weekends, so expect some road noise. Request a room facing away from the street if you think that will be an issue. I also had lounge access on the 3rd floor, which was beautiful with great service and a nice selection of food and drink in the evening and at breakfast the next day. Service by the staff was wonderful. My check-in agent even remembered my name hours after I had checked in, which was remarkable considering the size of the hotel.

I recently stayed at The Westin Kuala Lumpur and had a mixed experience. While the location of the hotel is excellent, being within walking distance to Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, there were a couple of areas that left me slightly disappointed. Firstly, the front counter customer service could use some improvement. During my check-in, it was evident that the staff hadn't prepared well, resulting in longer wait times and some confusion. It would be great if they could streamline their processes and ensure a smoother check-in experience for guests. Additionally, I noticed that the hotel seems to be a little bit aging compared to other nearby Marriott properties. While the rooms were clean and comfortable, a touch of modernization and maintenance in some areas would definitely elevate the overall experience. In conclusion, The Westin Kuala Lumpur is a decent choice for a stay, especially if you value convenience and accessibility to the city's attractions. However, I hope the management takes note of the areas that need improvement, particularly the front counter service and the upkeep of the hotel's facilities. With some enhancements, it has the potential to become an even more inviting destination for travelers

It felt so good to be back to our favourite city and hotel, The Westin K after 2 years of no travelling... Our sincere compliment to Said who has never fall short of ensuring that we have a good stay whenever we are in the hotel.. From the timely check-in and check-out, he will see to the details and if he happens to be away, he will keep us updated.. Aside from the good service, we do hope that the breakfast menu and the upkeep of the hotel room will be improved when we are back the next time round.. Do look for Said when you book for the Westin Club room =)

The service was great. Our room prep was delayed so they apologised and upgraded it immediately. The room was decent (no hairdryer tho), super soft pillows and beds. But the highlight of the stay has got to be its BREAKFAST. Many2 varieties, fresh, delicious and they even have a little kids corner with fun (albeit a little unhealthy) snacks like popcorn!

Amazing property, great check in and out process and amazing staff from the bellboy to the executive lounge. The executive lounge served great alcohol including Guinness on tap and super fresh DIY salad. You can catch the staff going around in the lounge, making sure the guests are happy. Although the property is old, it is extremely well maintained by a team of passionate staff. Lastly, its in an amazing location, although the roads coming tend to get jammed, you can get most that you need within walking distance.

Overall great experience for my staycation. Staff is very helpful and friendly, check in also took less than 10min. Car park has a lot of space. Room is huge and clean, nice shower and spacious bathroom. The down side is the bed is too soft and no drinks in the fridge. Should improve the mini bar. Breakfast is normal, some items should improve in quality like milk and butter.

Good location good rooms. Had previous good experience here before. Decided to book again. However upon check in about 2pm, staff informed our room is not ready. Was told to wait, waited till 5pm and rooms still not ready as the guests occupying the room has not checked out. You mean you know you have incoming guests and you allow the guests to extend their stay. I was speechless at that point. We booked our rooms more than a month ago. Still waiting for my rooms as Im typing this review.

Once again, it was good to be back at home away from home. There isn't a single complain whenever I stay at this hotel. Looks like small improvements have been done to the rooms; a suggestion to upgrade or change the living room sofa and dining table. As for the club lounge, credit goes to the whole team who makes going to the club a wonderful experience. Key people to mention: Said Angel Athirah I am looking forward to my next visit. Thank you all!!!.

The Westin isn’t bad for going around the high end shops around Bukit Bintang. It’s positioned extremely well and isn’t as expensive. However, you can definitely see the age of the hotel in the facilities. While still quite well maintained, the rooms look quite old. The lifts aren’t as fast nor as reliable as you’d like them to (the key card doesn’t always work when trying to get to your floor because of the old card reader style where you slot the card in). I would still stay at the Westin given its proximity to the shops and places, especially if I can get it at a cheaper rate than the JW Marriott (for example) that’s just beside it. The staff is wonderfully helpful and friendly too! But if you’re really looking for a luxurious time, probably best to skip this and go with the other, higher end hotels in the area.

Stayed 3 nights here and am truly pampered during the stay by Raj (GM) and his team particularly those working in the lounge. The lounge was one of the best part of the stay, since we were basically there all day! They have really good spread for both Happy Hour and breakfast.. and even during the off hours, they are always happy to accommodate our drinks request. Whilst hotel itself is dated, it’s very well maintained with care taken to ensure all equipment is working well. There’s an nespresso machine (very important for me, at least) and full amenities in each room, so much so that you really don’t have to pack much when staying here. In all, a very lovely stay and I’ll definitely be back again!

Once again, we are back to Westin! Our last visit was in August and now, again in Dec. Service was great as always. Check in was a breeze and though we couldnt get our rooms early as we arrived at 10am, we were offered free breakfast which was really sweet of them. We stayed for 5 days and truly enjoyed each moment. The club lounge is worth every penny, you get to relax in the lounge with great food and drinks. My favourite place to chill is at the poolside. My family just loves playing the darts, billiard & recently they added a new game which is very cool too. On the other side, there is a room where you can play table tennis also. All in all, i feel Westin creates this atmosphere that brings you a different level of luxury and comfort at the same time. There are many hotels in Bukit Bintang, but i keep coming back to Westin as the moment i step in, i feel awesome. It is the feeling Westin creates that makes it the best among the other hotels. Oh yes, not forgetting the extravagant breakfast buffet, there is a wide selection of food to choose from, pastries, pancakes, noodles, nasi lemak, chicken rendang, beef rendang, roti prata, thosai, indian chicken curry and so many more! The seatings are very spacious and comfortable too. Cant wait to see you again Westin!

Nice hotel with good Service. Opposite one of the nicest Malls in KL with many brands and outlets to satisfy the most ardent of Shoppers. Overall the stay is priced well and the facilities are good, although the hotel probably needs a post pandemic make over in the Restaurants and Rooms which are becoming a little bit tired.

A five star hotel. Located strategically in the heart of Bukit Bintang area, the famous shopping district & main tourist spot in KL. Room was spacious, amenities was plenty. All staff were outstanding, very patient and attentive. Worth the money. Will definitely come again... Recommended...

The room impresses with its ample space, featuring both a bathtub and a separate shower room. However, I did find the room to be somewhat dimly lit, which was a bit inconvenient, especially when I needed to work. On the bright side, I’ve always been fond of their shower gel and shampoo. The breakfast was enjoyable, with highlights like the ‘tarik’ and ‘Nasi lemak,’ but I do wish there were a wider variety of choices. The hotel’s location is a definite plus, being situated right next to Pavilion. However, the traffic in that area was notably congested.

Very nice hotel with good rooms and even apartments. Nice restaurants and bar. Just opposite the biggest mall in KL so plenty of shopping and food options next to the hotel too. Located next to starhill food options too. Short walk to subway. Very centrally located and service is overall quite good

Positives: 1. Great gym with lots of equipment 2. Great food at the Club Lounge 3. Good bathing water pressure 4. Great array of foodstuffs for breakfast Negatives: 1. Don't face the main road (Jalan Bukit Bintang) - super noisy 2. Room doors close with loud bang, quite annoying whilst asleep 3. Snacks quite pathetic during lunch hours at Club Lounge 4. Overall hotel is quite old - need to change and reno toilet WC bowls

The Living room has a fair spread for dinner buffet. The hotel maintained the required SOP . However was not at all happy of the state and safety of their lift that had my friends stuck between floor and its door ajar for several minutes. The hotel has to ensure the safety of its lifts for its intended purpose and the security of its patrons at all times.

Bad management. If I could give 0 star, I would have. Ordered 2 boxes of mooncakes in advance on the 4 September and i stated clearly that I expect it to be delivered by 13 September 2021. Not only do they NOT arrive on time, the mooncakes have not arrive till today 17 September 2021. All I got was, apologies on text message and the empty promises that they claim to deliver by 15th Sept. And the mooncakes are still nowhere to be seen. It's 3 days before actual mooncake festival including weekend. I have reached out to the Manager at The Living Room restaurant and I was told that the mooncakes were only shipped out this morning (17sept) due to unavailable flavours, which NO ONE informed me about this issue at all. I could have change another flavour if ANY STAFFS in this team had told me so. This is certainly not an excuse especially coming from a reputable organisation like Marriott.

Supported the local hotel industry. Nice location with Pavilion shopping mall just across the road to check in the 3D bull LED show. The LED show runs every 10-15mins. Very crowded during the weekend. Some city view from the room. Enjoyed the free upgrade and the strong water current. Most of the restaurants have closed down except one. One suggestion to the hotel is to waive the parking charge for hotel guest. They charge RM5/entry/day on hotel guest.

Ordered food from 443 Bar Lounge. Must congratulate the team for their service and follow-ups. Radha was amazing. Love the wine (GERARD BERTRAND RESERVE SPECIALE PINOT NOIR) she recommended plus the roast chicken. Perfect match with the cheese platter. Chef’s salad was ok. Good selection of cheese board except we felt the portion was only for 1 person from the cheese to the cut vegetables. It was like a bite-sized. Wasn’t like in the above picture unfortunately. The salted chocolate tart was just amazing. We don’t mind ordering more of that 😍. They were very thoughtful and gave us a complimentary apple crumble and balloons for our anniversary ☺️

Hotel room interior is average, needs refurbishment. Room service was abit slow. Plus points: club lounge access, swimming pool and the strategic location along Bukit Bintang street and Pavillion. Limited services during CMCO but was given complimentary afternoon tea upon request. Overall, worth to stay at KL's lively street at an affordable price. Instagram: theroytravels

Our stay was last minute booking with The Westin Hotel due to some hiccups at our side. We were impressed by the efficiency and arrangement. The staff are friendly and helpful. I am very disappointed with the overall service of this hotel. - We called the hotel earlier to check if we could get an early check in, and the hotel staff told us that it’s ready. Upon checking in, only 1 room was ready, and the remaining 4 rooms that we booked were not ready and some were still occupied by other guests. - Room was not properly cleaned. Interior looks like a 3 star hotel. Really shocking to see the standard of the room. Totally not worth the money. - While waiting for the rooms to be ready, we decided to take the kids to the Kids Club. But to our dismay, the kids club was closed since MCO. It was very disappointing cos we were told by the staff that the kids club will be available during our stay before we made the booking. - We asked for the breakfast to be included in the room rate when making the booking. But when we went to the restaurant the following morning for our breakfast, we were told that we need to pay extra cos the price is not included in the booking that we have made earlier. - And guess what? We ended up paying for the breakfast and the food was just mediocre. Nasi lemak was awful. I can’t remember when was the last time i complaint about nasi lemak. But this is seriously, just tasteless. The staff are not properly trained and there were a lot of miscommunications. This is certainly not something that we should receive, especially from a Hotel that comes from a reputable organisation like Marriott.

I had a short business trip stayover in Westin. Overall experience was fairly good. Happy to see that hotel in full house. Room was spacious, as a Platinum member, room upgraded to a suite. Club lounge staff definitely need more training, as they were not familiar with their products. Breakfast choices was good, from western to asian selections. However it seems that the egg station chef wasnt in his best mood & condition, given some attitude while taking order from guests.

Staying here at the moment, having checked in earlier for a 3D2N staycation. The 1st night (tonight) already started on a bad footing — both my room 2305 and the one we took up next door — are kinda hot and humid, and yet it is registering a max reading of 19° on the control panel already! [Update #1] Tue 6.01am : The management took a proactive approach and dropped the following card under our room door. Special thanks to GM Mr. Gregory Gubiani for taking the time out to personally address this. Yes, the A/C is so much better now. 😊 [Update #2] Tue 8.34am : The GM personally came up to us at The Living Room pertaining to the issue we raised. We’re humbled by this, and deeply impressed with the level of hospitality accorded to the guests — this is first class at its finest.

Currently the rate for this hotel is at a very reasonable and affordable rate considering it has 5 star rating. Would recommend that you book directly directly with the hotel as they are offering free membership. With the membership, you will be given rooms at higher levels (if available). Plus you get to accumulate points too.

Keycard became unuseable after we went out today. Called in to the reception and was told that in Westin, you have to reprogram your room key daily after 12pm even if you book a stay for 2 days. During covid this is a very bad policy as hotel should reduce contact instead of adding this layer of contact. Of course this requirement was not told during checkin and made us had to wait in front of the room for too long. This is my first experience where room key was made invalid and require reprogram daily. Very bad experience.

Nice hotel. Just the front desk lady quite blur. My room number is 33** which is on 33 floor but she said is 23 floor. So I double confirm with other front desk lady it is 33floor not 23floor. They same lady ask for credit card 2 times due to wrong key in the system. I hope she didn’t charge me twice 😥

We advised in advance, that we will earlier check in, means before 3 pm. The hotel reply, that they try but is subject of availability at the day. During the check-in, they realy made it possible that we get a room at lunch time already, and realy nice room in the 35th floor, if i not mistake. The rooms are clean, not smal, the house keeping litle bit over load with work, i think too many rooms per one worker. However he done his job. The location is dangerous if you stay with the wife, oposite of the Pavillon shoping mall, Luise Vuiton almost besite also. Realy nice location, everything is near by. The breakfest was ok, only the water for the tea was hot every 3th day only. Nice joice at pasteries and bread. The eggs of them have something wrong, the taste not good. The bar at Lobby level is very nice and professionell. The hotel is not perfect but ok, nice to stay.

Great location, opposite Pavilion, shopping and food are just across the street. Need to climb abit of stairs to get to your breakfast. The spread is amazing, good selection of everything. Price is reasonable now, though the hotel need an upgrade soon.

Hotel has top notch service and staff. Room and environment is comfortable and clean. The rooms lights might be a tad outdated as the hotel has been here for many years already so it is somewhat dark due to light placement however other than that, it is still decent.

The 443-room Westin Kuala Lumpur is located in the heart of Bukit Bintang directly across Pavilion Mall, the best mall in Malaysia. Premium accommodations with signature comforts, White Tea Bath & Body products and plush Westin Heavenly® Beds. The best feature of the hotel for Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite members and above is the beautiful Westin Club Lounge that overlooks Pavilion with a large indoor plate and outdoor terrace. Recommended 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Overall pleasant stay; however it was a bit hard for the first timers to find the carpark as there were no signs and the sign was actually quite small and hard to view especially at night and when one is trying to manouvre around the busy traffic; limited parking spaces especially on public holiday. Good location as it’s in the centre of attraction. Hotel is slightly old and it was very hard to sleep as there were inconsiderate motorists speeding on the road at midnight till wee hours of dawn.

Perfect location but with heavy traffic in front of hotel most of the time as expected. Friendly front deck staffs, security guards and fast responsive room service was greatly appreciated. Poor design of shower room caused water seep out to bathroom floor which made unpleasant use of bathroom with wet entrance despite putting floor tower.
