This place really overrated, order their roti special with half boiled egg. It serve cold!!! Omg, could you imagine that half boiled egg and their dal curry is cold andit just taste disgusting....and we order nasi goreng kampung as well (not in the pic as not much mood to take picture ady) it just take like normal fried rice with vege not nasi goreng kampung ok.....not recommend here

Roti special means roti with soft boiled egg and a whole load of curry on it. The sambal is pretty spicy. This makes the dish a very creamy one.

Amazing place to go to for an authentic Malaysian Indian breakfast. The roti canai special was to die for, made fresh to order, we canโ€™t rave about this place enough! Definitely grab a teh tarik to go with it. Hot or cold you canโ€™t go wrong. Check out our channel for a full review of our experience: Hungry Two Travel.

When we arrived to this place it was so crowded. Every table is taken. I wondered why, as i have never been there before. After tasting their food, I realised why so. We ordered special roti canai with a plate of briyani and chicken curry. Honestly, the briyani is outstanding. Iโ€™d call the special roti as a kingโ€™s breakfast on a cheat day. The sambal was a bit too sweet for my liking. Other than that, all good. Oh and finally we ordered cutting chai. Unlike, normal malaysian teh tarik, cutting chai gives that indian version of tea with just the right amount of sweetness in it. Very well meal indeed! ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿฅณ

Great service and excellent food. I was looking for a Cheap Malaysian restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, and the reviews for this one fit that. It was bustling but had space when I got there. My food came out in minutes and the waiter suggested items. The Roti Canai and Iced Kopi were perfect. Will update later with how it sits on an American stomach, but overall great street food place. Edit: No stomach issues :)

Roti banjir spesial (roti pratha with curry sauce topped with a couple of half boiled eggs) is my favourite breakfast to get in Malaysia, and Mansion makes the best version. Having said that, I haven't had a bad one. There is something right with the sauce in here that mixes really well with the roti pratha. This thing will keep you full way past lunchtime. You're likely to wait for a table on the weekend, but the waiters are quick and will make sure that you can get a table. Good variation of teh tarik served here too. While the place is wildly popular, the price is still the same as other places that serve similar version of the roti. Explore the neighbourhood afterwards for a real local flavour.

An institution in KL, but their special roti plate just ends up being a bit too slippery-slimy for me. I prefer my roti regular dipped in curry gravy, but that's just me. Also they don't cook them fresh so the roti is cold with cold dhal and then a luke-warm egg on it. Follow us on insta/Facebook/twitter: bittermansguide

Chicken curry is the best. You wont find cleanliness here, so dont look for that. Great curry, yes youโ€™ll for sure. Roti canai also nice. The server all busy doing their job. Just need to be patient with them. Parking is nightmare, not easy to find parking here.

Went there on Thu morning and it was almost full house. Ordered maggi goreng, special roti canai, tek tarik (hot), and neslo (ice). Total cost was about 16.50rm. Drinks were so-so, but more on the sweeter end. Maggi goreng is delicious! Not oily but very flavourful and the chilli has the kick (better than the ones I had in SG). Must try! The special roti canai (roti canai with sweet curry and 2 runny eggs) tasted weird for us. The roti canai is very doughy. Don't really like the taste and texture of this dish. I won't recommend it. The shop is right beside the road, it may be considered dirty for those who are concerned about cleanliness and hygiene. And it is quite popular among the folks there, you may need to leave asap once done with eating. =)

We were googling on where to look for good and recommended roti canai. Came across this place and we 3 decided to go. There are quite a number of tables that was stretch out further down and so finding a seat was not difficult. We went at around 11am on a Saturday and the crowd seems to formed for the lunch. Ordered roti canai and this roti special (comes with half boiled egg, some red chilli sauce and sauces). I would say, the roti special would most likely not be enough to taste the roti canai, so, I would suggest u guys to just order one more roti canai (kosong) to go with this roti special. You won't regret. I had 2 kosongs. My friend had 1 kosong and 1 egg. The sauces that goes with the canai tasted abit sweet, as though it tasted like mee rebus sauce. Their teh tarik, wow. Super love their teh tarik. We saw that they were also selling nasi briyani. We didn't have enough stomach space and time to return again. Most of the crowd we saw was eating their nasi briyani and it looks good, especially the fish version. Total cost: 21.20 ringgit. GO AND TRY THEM!!

Fantastic experience, great food and even better value. It is a really authentic local vibe that is a bit out of town. The waiter looked after us with great recommendations. Go with the flow and get the speciality dishes and you will have a great time.

This place is legendary!! Love the roti Love the curry The curry is relatively sweet, different with the other. Match well with the sambal. Teh tarik is also good. It was very cheap. RM 7 for 2 roti canai and 1 teh tarik.

Food was so-so but cleanliness was a little suspect when we were there. Ordered 2 roti banjir special, 1 roti banjir biasa, 1 teh tarik & 1 kopi O...costs RM14.40. Very busy in the mornings especially weekends. Difficult to find seats. Atmosphere not conducive for eating. More of eat & go as soon as you can.

March2022: Most will prefer crispy and flaky roti, but if you love gravy and don't mind mushy roti, then banjir-style (flooded in gravy) is for you. For fast service, all the roti is precooked (not made to order) so it's been sitting a while and soggy. The dhal is well-cooked and thick without any lentil beans floating inside, while the curry comes with with chunks of potatoes which are also very soft. The sambal chili provides good heat to those who want it spicy.

One of the best Briyani you can get in the heart of KL, very humble place with rich ingredients. Been going to this place since I was a young boy.

If you are only interested in eating prata with curry, go for it as the food is acceptable. But, you want clean table, good hygine with good service, then this is not your cup of tea.

A local favourite for decades. Cleanliness is as expected for this type of eating place in Malaysia (average), I've been eating at similar eateries all my life and never fallen sick. My go to is the roti canai banjir with soft boiled eggs and teh tarik. For the tasty food alone, it gets 5 stars!

Mostly locals. The seating area is kind of cramped. Tried their roti special but both the egg and prata seems to be prepared in batches in advance, so itโ€™s not really warm or crispy. The curry is also not exactly flavourful. While I like the concept of soft-boiled eggs, prata pieces and curry all on a plate, itโ€™s not sth I would recommend to go down for.

One of the best places to have roti canai. Their roti canai special is a must try. Be sure to order ice Teh Tarik. You wonโ€™t disappoint. ๐Ÿ˜

  • 3/5 Felix L. 7 months ago on Google
The teh tarik and roti telur were quite delicious. However my roti kosong was cold and hard, should have ordered "roti canai 4 segi" to ensure its freshly made... The maggi goreng was delicious though. Hard to find parking, hard to locate the stall (due to weirdly pinned google map), and the place is quite dirty. Not worth to come back imo.

first, cheap and good price. the milk tea is really Good But for the roti cainai, they served to me when its too cold (not hot), its not delicious and the smell of eggs (which is not hot is overwhelmed everything). casual place.

This place is popular for a reason. The Teh Tarik is one of the best Iโ€™ve had in the city! I wish I tried more of their drinks. I also ordered their roti special and fried rice. The food is fresh and made to order. It was my first time trying roti special and it was better than I expected! Really flavorful and spicy. All of their food comes in generous portions. The price is affordable for the quality. The service was friendly. Keep in mind, there are no vegetarian options. This no-frills restaurant is worth visiting.

I ordered the special roti, teh tarik, and roti canai from this stall and I was very disappointed. The food was cold and the roti was undercooked and not crispy at all. Especially the egg and curry that came with the roti. The teh tarik was too sweet and watery. The hygiene of the restaurant was very low and one of our diners got sick.

Incredible Teh Tarek and roti canai. Probably the best tea I've had (lingering flavour, great aroma, smooth mouth feel) and the roti canai is flaky AF. I could eat here every day. Only thing that lets this place down is the "curry" that comes with the roti canai. If it was thicker, less sweet, and hot (it was cold), this would be legendary.

Came here in 2019 and back again in 2023. Itโ€™s still just as tasty and authentic. Highly recommend the roti canai special and tea for a heartwarming breakfast to start your day.

We loved this Roti Canai. My buddy who joined me is from India and said the taste was really nice. It was cool how they mixed the roti in the sauce but I prefer them separate to preserve the crispiness. Favourite roti canai so far.

Came by for a random brunch on a Friday at around 11. Stall was packed full of people. They even occupy another lot about 1 store away now. Not sure how the ordering works here. There are waiters that didn't seem to interested in taking orders, and there are also people taking food themselves in line. I was quite confused but thankfully the kakak by the roti was nice enough to help me out. Finally got my seat, ordered a roti telur and a teh ais. Roti telur was ok, but felt like the kuah could've used more flavour. Tasted abit watered down. Teh Ais was good. Total was RM 5.2.

I like the half cooked eggs, is it half cooked? But the taste of the roti maintained. You must try their mi goreng, really nice and i like the dryness. Eat it with ayam goreng. Really good. I dont have the photos coz always eat it right away.

So good! We came here twice during our stay. The service is fast and the food is good and cheap. The tea is delicious. We got the roti special

  • 5/5 Fyf 2 years ago on Google
The roti canai special was amazing. Delicious dhal and curry with savoury sambal and perfectly cooked half boil eggs. Creamy, spicy, rich and very satisfying. The teh tarik was good too. Milky without being too sweet. RM5.60 for a plate of roti and teh tarik. A few cents higher but it was worth it. A unique experience on the different side of KL, the not too modern area of Masjid India.

  • 5/5 Fatima A. 2 years ago on Google
I went once to check what the type was about. It was good at a very reasonable price and very busy jam packed place. Freshly made roti canai was crispy yet soft and had 2 with egg inside the roti. Many of customers wanted half boiled egg cracked and that's the famous one there. I had without the egg .
