Petersburg has many hidden gems, if you’re willing to explore. This one on Washington Street, across from the bus terminal is a great destination for “ breakfast and brunch”. Locally sourced organic ingredients is one of many reasons to dine here. Opened January of this year and building a steady clientele. The serving sizes are generous and the owner let us sample their biscuit and gravy recipe, my all time new favorite!

I went here after another local breakfast place was packed and not taking food orders anymore. And I'm glad I did. It is a cute place with GREAT service. Everyone was super nice and really friendly. I got one of the egg platters and it was exactly what I wanted. Eggs were cooked wonderfully. Sausage was great and the home fries were awesome. Next time I think I'll try one of the burritos. I also love the name, but sure if it was a play off the Hamilton song but 4 stars for the name alone!!

Decided to check them out after such great google reviews. Food was great! Shared The BIG breakfast Platter with my four year son and it was more than enough! The grits were on point, and the strawberry pancakes are a MUST try. Would of given it a 5/5 but they didn’t have biscuits this day. Service and atmosphere was very welcoming and the staff super professional while still treating you very friendly. Will definitely stop by again!

Expertly cooked, well seasoned, perfectly plated brunch. The staff is happy, they are even growing their own produce. I recommend History Breakfast and Brunch.

If your hungry, you can’t go wrong with the big breakfast, fully satisfied! The coffee actually taste like coffee, it’s not color water like those big business breakfast places. This is my new go to spot every time I come back to the area.

I am making it my personal spot for the most tasteful food. Sweet and savory dishes both hit the pallet just right. Strawberry pancakes (no syrup needed)! Crisply coated home fries perfectly fluffed inside. The Western Omelet burst with garden fresh peppers, spinach, onion, and cheese. And it was a pleasure to sit in quiet or even get to chat with the owner and family. I went for breakfast and also grazed through books available about local and US History. This place is a true jewel!

Such a wonderful atmosphere. The service was great. The food was delicious. And we didn't have to wait to be seated which was the best part for me besides the delicious food and service that we received.Customer service is immaculate. Atmosphere warming. Small family own business.Food was delicious 😋 and definitely worth the money.

The two gentlemen running the restaurant were swamped, but they stayed up beat and kept everyone happy. The food was delicious. I will be back to try the pancakes. *second visit* These guys recognize we live in a food desert. The produce is fresh from their farm. They plan to start having produce out front farm stand style soon. Let's support them!!!

Most delicious breakfast I ever tried. Sandwiches with bacon, with ham and eggs. Our kid first ate entire plate of pancakes. Absolutely recommended!!! Also, the salad, that was awesome!!!!

Great food, fresh food. Servers are very friendly. Preparing food might take a while but worth waiting for the fresh-made food. Try the breakfast with 3 eggs, it's delicious and nice combination.

We arrived shortly after they opened this morning, so the server allowed us to choose our seat. The place was a little too warm for my husband, likely because the A/C hadn't been running long, while I was comfortable in my lightweight sweater. (Something to consider if you're dining there during warm weather, but we both agree the food's too good to keep us from returning.) The owner and server were friendly, and the owner was so happy and appreciative when my husband told him how much we enjoyed everything. As for the food, my husband had the French toast platter, which actually required 2 plates. (Makes me wonder how many dishes they use to serve their "Big Breakfast" platter. lol) I ordered their Meat Lovers Omelet for the chorizo and spinach, and rather than choose between the home fries and grits, I got the extra side of grits. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, especially the yummy home fries. I only took photos of the menu pages that listed what we ordered, but there are 2-3 more pages which you can see in others' posts. (I might try a breakfast burrito next time.) Finally, the other non-food photo I shared is of a limited edition Black History tumbler they're offering. Contact the restaurant if you want to order any.

I don't leave reviews often but this place is absolutely incredible. My girlfriend got the breakfast burrito and I got the chorizo omelet and both were the best of each I've ever tasted. Incredible home fries as well. Great service and great hole in the wall restaurant. We will absolutely be back.

Super cute location, small and intimate. But the food is amazing. They can substitute pork products with turkey and so the breakfast burrito is big and delicioua!!!! Coffee was good it is regular ole diner coffee which is what I was needing. It is a clean location with a lot of history and either they'll have the history Channel playing which is a nice change from sports or news. Or some soft almost jaz/r&b like music which is relaxing. The red brick wall makes it feel like history come to life. The view out the window feel old town like you are sitting back in the early 1980s or maybe early depending your fancy. You have plenty of street parking along with some lots locally. I suggest quite mornings and they were open memorial day which was helpful to me!!!!
