This is normally my local go to for sushi but ever since the pandemic happened, prices have gone up but quality has gone down. Just paid $50 for 3 to go rolls (+$10 tip). Some pieces only had cream cheese and rice. The rice wasn’t even fresh. One roll didn’t have all the fish that was listed on the menu. The tuna was so fatty I had to take the pieces out of my mouth bc I couldn’t chew it. I’ve never had that happen before and I eat a lot of sushi. I enjoy wasabi with my sushi but all I had was some bright green gooey substance and old, dry ginger in my to go box. I’ll spend the gas money and go to Lucky AF in Richmond when I’m craving sushi. Hopefully things will get back to good quality soon, bc I really enjoyed the sushi before.

First time coming here and absolutely loved it! My husband and I are sushi lovers and have been burned by a lot of “sushi” places in the Richmond/Midlothian/Chesterfield area so we were a little hesitant to try this place out— but we left extremely happy and full! 1. Restaurant was very clean. 2. The lemon drop and blueberry martinis made by Jason were amazing!!! 3. Food was delicious! We got the spicy tuna roll, kickin’ salmon, tempura spicy tuna, and the dragon roll. You can honestly tell the chefs make the sushi fresh by the order. Rice was nice and soft. 4. Service was great (go Jason!) 5. And bonus points— they were playing some really fun upbeat music! We will definitely be coming back sometime soon!

The Crab-Lobster sandwich is off the chain! I literally scraped the plate just trying to get all the lobster & crab up! As this sandwich is finger-licking good! The crab & lobster patty was seasoned to perfection & the bun was perfectly buttered & soft & the Peach Cosmo & southern style sweet tea set it off! Both are a must try! Worth every cent & bite!🤗😍🤗

My husband and I decided to try a new place and love vegetarian sushi so we tried this place. Big mistake! We paid $57 before the tip, for spring rolls, iced tea, and a Coke, and four vegetarian rolls. The spring rolls came quickly, but they were literally just 4 small spring rolls on a plate with chili sauce. The rolls then took about 45 minutes. And while we waited, we kept commenting on how uncomfortable the booths were. We had just been walking and we’re looking forward to relaxing while eating and it was so uncomfortable. We thought about leaving. When we got our four rolls we were surprised they were small for what we were paying, and they were falling apart. They basically tasted like rice balls, because we could barely taste the vegetables. At that point we just wanted to leave so we immediately asked for our check since no one asked us how the food was, passed the credit card and ran. Kroger and Wegmans veg sushi is better thank this and the price was outrageous. *photo is of our sad, falling apart cucumber roll.

This was my first time here and I loved it! There are two areas and a downstairs area. We were greeted immediately. And chose to sit in the bar area . . The atmosphere was not what I expected. Everyone was having a great time eating having drinks. Happy hour on a Monday was very laid back. The music was awesome! Diverse! I had the Philly steak wrap with avocado and sweet potato fries! Very flavorful And I would say an overall great local experience!

The sushi was nothing short of amazing and the staff very kind. I had a dragon roll and my friend had a crab explosion with a variety of sushi on the side. There are several different places to sit on different levels, so we went to the bottom floor which was serene, quiet, and very cool after the heat outside. They have some lovely beer on tap. I will definitely be going back.

Horrible sushi, horrible sashimi. NOT FRESH AT ALL DONT EAT IT!!!!!! The waitress didn’t pay attention to the order, gave me smoke salmon instead of the sake salmon, replaced it and still charged for full price. I thought it’s replacement but they actually charge me for another order, it’s ridiculous. There’s a black spot on the tuna, it is disgusting. I hope I don’t get diarrhea later.

Love this place. Food is also great. We odred 5 different sushi rolls and they were all spectacular. Wish they had a wine menu and a better drink menu.

Food came out cold the first time and the manager gave us a free fresh plate of the crab fries. They got slammed with sushi orders so it took longer than normal but that's normal at sushi bars. They still compensated us for a few extra items on out checks.

Returning customer, every time we feel like sushi, my wife and I immediately think of this place, the martinis are amazing and the sushi is well prepared and set in a wonderful presentation. Also for appetizers, my wife says the crab dip is the best she has ever had. If sushi and martinis are your thing, don't not pass up this establishment.

Loved the old town vibe and the friendly service. We stopped in to satisfy a sushi craving and we were not disappointed! They have some great recipes for their signature rolls. A nice touch was the ‘Martini’ bar with lots of different martini ideas! We had a good time and I definitely recommend.

Service was excellent, presentation was lovely and the crab dip appetizer was pretty tasty, but the food was lackluster, especially for the price you pay. The freshness was there but the bright flavor profile you expect from sushi was not. Additionally, the tables were also VERY sticky. This seems to be a popular local spot, but being from out of the area I have a different perspective. With some slight improvements this place could be AMAZING. This restauraunt does have alot of potential! My review is my opinion so don't let it keep you from trying it yourself 👍

Such a cute place with some amazing food. I’m not even that much of a Sushi fan, but their surf and turf is out of this world!!!!!! And their drinks are so cute and delicious. Have had so many occasions here and have loved them all!

First time at Wabi-Sabi, my new favorite place. The presentation of the food was excellent, compliments to the chef, Tempura, Sabi, Smoked Salmon and Ahi Tuna rolls were mind blowing good. We enjoyed the Fuji Apple and Peach Blossom Sake. We had two servers and they were both excellent, Christopher stood out more so, he was so accommodating we thought he was Management. And the price for everything was value added for how much we ordered.

We had not eaten there in several years. We were disappointed in the over all experience it was very cold in the restaurant. The sushi was very good but the other entrees not so much. We had an excellent waitress. If you like sushi go for it.

( When eating the sushi, add a little crab dip on your sushi and post here how your mouth will feel food magic, lol. ) ohhhh make sure you get the crab dip and save the dip. lol you're not going to eat it all lol

Met here with a group of 10 for a birthday dinner. We came at 7 ish and it was pretty busy! Our waitress was very busy so something’s took longer than others. But overall our food came at a good amount of time. I ordered the spring rolls, they were little nuggets which was a cool. They were a bit over cooked. I also ordered the veggie Lo mein. That was good. I also had the Dragon Roll that was amazing !!! The check out process was super easy as you could scan the barcode and it didn’t make you download an app. I haven’t been here in years but I would come back again especially for the sushi.

I usually don’t do negative review like this but I really did not enjoy my experience at this restaurant. Normally when you want sushi, there’s a nice peaceful vibe to enjoy your meal in. This was not the case when I came. After sitting down, there was like some kind of live band in the basement. Our food took really long to come and after it came I had to send it back for the order not being right. The silver ware was extremely dirty so I only chose to eat with chopsticks. The drinks were really expensive and did not have that much alcohol in it. Honestly felt like I was drinking Sunny D. My wife and I doubt that we will be returning.

The best part of this place is the variety on the menu! Half of the family that is not a big fan of sushi can enjoy good size burgers while the rest of us can enjoy tasting the different raw fish options:):)

The sushi here is always beautiful and delicious the Sweet Tea here is perfect and the staff is always super friendly. Every time I’m here at Fort Lee I make it a point to stop in to this place. Definitely one of my favorites. I do feel the nigiri rolls are a bit pricey but other than that it’s good to go!

Tried lots of yummy food here. The crab fries were amazing, so were the surf and turf and TNT rolls.
