Not only was the room filthy and infested with roaches and god knows what else but the staff is horrible. The manager checking me in was yelling into her phone the entire time and threw my key at me. And after seeing my room I went outside where 2 women were cleaning the room next to mine and one introduced herself as Savannah and asked if I needed a hook up. When I answered no she became frustrated but said if I changed my mind just ask for her or Christy the manager at the desk that they could get me anything I wanted and would be happy to entertain me for a price. I replied no again and she walked off. A short time later she came back with a man and demand I pay for extra services. And if I didn't I wasn't going to be allowed to stay. That the manager didnt like people staying that didnt pay the extra. And then I was told if I left I wouldn't be getting a refund. Feeling threatened I grabbed my back and left. My whole stay lasted an hour and was the worst of my life. I have since contacted my attorney, Petersburg police and social services since there were several kids staying in the unhealthy conditions running around barefoot and one little girl screaming at the manager how hungry she was just to be told she didnt have money for food yet. I definitely do not recommend this place in fact I hope it is soon condemned. Horrible place. Horrible staff. You should be ashamed.

It's a place to lay down your burdens with a good night's sleep. The people are very nice and it's a good place for night and weekly rates. They have large tubs that are great for a relaxing deep bath and offer cable with HBO. Decent prices, the best place to go in the area for the price.

My church and I Spirit Life worship center in Prince George we stopped in there to bring food to the people and to pray for them. It's always good to help others so glad they allowed us to hand out food there. Hope all is well we'll see you again soon. Well we were able to bring Chick-fil-A also out to the hotel today

Was directed to Royal Inn from Best Inn. It was so disgusting I had a break down when I got into the room. It was covered in bugs. The bedsheets were covered in hair and dirt. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, they said they could give me sheets to change them myself. Within 30 minutes of being there, I asked if I could get a refund for two of the three nights I was staying there, they said the best they could do was change my room. In three nights, I killed 15-20 bugs. Roaches crawled on my bed. Roaches crawled on me. I was gone for most of the day and was literally only in the room for sleeping and maybe an hour each day getting ready. The fact that I killed 15-20 bugs in that short period was disgusting. I will be contacting my bank to see if I can get a refund from them for the horrible health code violation this place was in.

My husband needed to get some rest before making it back to Florida so we stopped here. The place is really what you pay for and we only stayed for 4 hrs. Place definitely needs some updating otherwise clean but no towels or chairs just a table. All we really needed is somewhere to rest. Good place if you're on a budget but I would not take my kids here.

Located in an area with a very high crime rate.. this is not somewhere you want to take your family or consider staying alone! They rent rooms nightly or weekly.. even by the hour we found out not long after moving in. Sadly my husband and I had no choice since we both had just been laid off our jobs around the same time. After a few weeks they offered my husband a position in maintenance and he accepted. At first we were thankful for the help and believed the owners were kind people just trying to lend a hand in it time of need... HOW WRONG WE WERE!! The weekly rent was $245 which was waived as payment for my husband's work. It wasn't long I found another job and we started saving to get a new home ASAP. Well the owners found out we were planning on leaving soon and started adding hours to his work week and only gave him $40 in addition to the "free rent". At the end of each week I calculated what they were paying him hourly and it wasn't even minimum wage. Knowing we didn't have long before we could just leave it all behind he continued his working for the owners. It became obvious that not only were they working employees for less than minimum wage.. they played favorites and expected a select few to do excessive work for barely any money..They prayed on people and took advantage of people in hard situations. They were also very racist against the American society!! Constantly telling my husband he should be grateful for their help and that Americans were disgusting and lazy.. not worthy of anything more than what they had! After approximately 3 months we had found a place and gave notice we were leaving. Before being able to do so; they devised a way to get back at us for "walking out on them" They waited until my husband and I were both away from our room they place a lock on our door and made a claim that we had not paid our weekly rent. Even though there laws in place preventing these things from happening they were able to remove all of our belongings and place them in the dumpster before we could do anyting about it. Sadly we lost a lot no of sentimental items that can never be replaced but we still have our dignity and good moral character. So please .. THINK TWICE BEFORE CONTRIBUTING TO THESE TYPES OF BUSINESS OWNERS. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH LIVING THE AMERICAN DREAM BUT NOT BY RUINING HONEST PEOPLE IN THE PROCESS!! THANK YOU

The personnel there are great but the entire motel is infested with an enormous amount of roaches! Whatever method the place is using to rid itself of the roaches does not work! I suggest the owners find a pest control company that actually performs a successful method to rid the motel of such an abundance of roaches!

This does not deserve a one star! A friend of mine if staying in this hotel by herself tonight and is really uncomfortable. I feel so bad because as i am writing this review, we are all talking while she scared with all the roaches and bed bugs EVERYWHERE. Please do not stay here. We were so worried for her.

Staff is rude and people just walk into your room. Rooms have bed bugs and roaches. There was a rust hole in my tub and I was told that the room i got had just been remodeled .That was a line of bs. No matter what please do not spend your money on this hell hole.

Stayed here last night. The room smelled of chemicals like it just got bugged bombed or massively sprayed down. Even the bedding smelled heavily of chemicals. After all of that my husband got bit by some bugs. Major swelling in his hand and other bite marks. End up taking him to the hospital today. This place isn't just poorly maintained. It's a legit medical hazard. If my home were in this condition it we would be kicked out by the health department and it could be condemned. I will be sending my complaint to the health department. I suggest others do the same.

I just went to visit someone but it's ratchet asab only junkies and drunks allowed.
