The twisted, tortured trunks and branches of the Süntel dwarf beech trees have been shaped into a long tunnel, entering which is like time-warping to another dimension, with a trance-inducing kaleidoscope of spinning lights filtering through the parasols of leaves, in autumn diffracting into spangled rainbows. Upon exiting the tunnel, one’s view of life and the universe has subtly shifted, and a perceptible glow accompanies the gnomic visage of each Dwarf Beech Avenue initiate.
