Very good food. Great atmosphere. They have the best hot wings around in my opinion. Crispy and meaty. And you can just drop your nuts shells right on the floor and they walk all over them. Not a great place for kids though. We went at lunch and there was a person at the bar screaming the f bomb.... take it easy eh.

You can tell this is a great place to eat when you realize it's full of locals, not tourists. The taco salad was amazing and huge. My husband said his burger was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The decor was quite interesting with antique toys, tools, pictures, hunting paraphernalia, and more. Our waiter was terrific, very attentive even though it was very busy. We've added this to our must-go-back list.

I came to this bar for a bite to eat and for a cold beer. The beer sure is nice, and the peanuts is a nice touch as well. My beer didn’t take very long to get to me. I did order food while I was here at the bar itself. I ordered the “famous burger” as remembered by the barkeep. The burger didn’t take too long to come out and was ordered as requested. I wasn’t really impressed with the burger, actual just the opposite. The meat didn’t have a flavor it it but a slight char. The buns has. A yeasty flavor to it. I’d rate this burger a 5/10. The burger reminded me of a burger you got from your drunk neighbor on a cookout. Wasn’t bad. Wasn’t good. The atmosphere is pretty nice and so are the people. If you want town gossip come to the bar and I’m sure you can hear what’s going on around town.

Nice and cool atmosphere. Walleye was really good. Fries were fresh and tasted great. Coleslaw was nice and mild for someone who doesn’t usually like coleslaw.

This was our second time here and like the first time the food was out of this world. My Grandson & I had the walleye Dinner and my daughter had the grilled Salmon Patty . The place gives you free peanuts and you just throw the shells on the floor. I Recommend this place Very highly.

This place kept it real..no change to fancy upety bars. They kept is the same as when we started visiting this place 25 years ago. Craft beer selection is great 20+ pulls on tap all the same price. Reuben was great lean meat not fatty and the bread was fresh. If ur looking for a cool spot to hangout and have fun stop in grab a bite and a brew

When out of town on vacation my family always tries local restaurants over chains. We're so happy we took a chance on Mitchell Street Pub. Not only is the environment inviting, but the food and service was outstanding. Their burgers are all from grass fed cows and let me tell you what, you can taste the difference. Our server Amanda was very personable and made us feel welcomed and as though we were a regular. Next time we're in town, we will be here.

Great place recommended by Abbey at Thunder Bay Winery. Dark cozy eclectic decor. We shared jalapeño poppers n club sandwich. Both were fresh and quite tasty. Return ? Definitely

Food was ok. They recommend the grilled cheese sandwich which was good and flavorful. Our server was awesome. Her name was Jessie. The atmosphere made me feel like I was at a dive bar in Nashville. Which I love.

We had an exceptional time visiting with TJ! Such a fun place with so much to look at and discuss. Then our food arrived...AMAZING!! The best grilled cheese and onion rings I have ever had. Not only that but the portion was so large I got to bring half home to enjoy again😉We will make this a MUST stop, even if it's out of our way, every time we are near.

First off, as soon as our group walked in the door, we were greeted with smiles from all of the employees, which was something you never really see nowadays. Alicia, our server, was PHENOMENAL. Even with being busy, she still communicated with us, helped us decide what the dishes would be like, and gave us some great recommendations. The French onion soup was outstanding! The nachos are delicious and a huge portion. The cheese curds are amazing, as well! We came in with a party of four and we all loved everything.

Absolutely loved this bar! The walleye was top notch. The beer choices were good and many to choose from. The staff was friendly and welcoming. It's dark when you walk in but it transforms into a warm cozy atmosphere with so much history and interesting things on the walls to keep you from staring at your phone. This will be my go to spot when I'm back in Petoskey on future adventures.

Dark, dirty, dingy. Food was meh.....burger was dry with little flavor and waaay too much bun for the small patty. Onion rings were great. Patty melt was lacking flavor and had very little onion. Floors at 11:30 am we're disgusting. Our server was very nice and was doing his best, as they were obviously understaffed.

Nestled within a charming rustic tavern ambiance, this establishment stands out as a unique and nostalgic dining destination adorned with an abundance of wall decorations. Preserving a tradition seldom found nowadays, patrons are welcome to dispose of peanut shells on the floor, evoking a sense of classic Americana. The extensive beverage selection is noteworthy, offering a diverse array of options to suit various preferences. The menu itself is generously populated with a wide range of meal choices. For appetizers, the onion rings proved to be a delightful initiation. However, it's important to note that they are served in a quantity of five, which might necessitate additional orders to accommodate larger groups. The Chicken Club Wrap, while enjoyable, exhibited a slightly dry texture in the chicken portion. Despite the bustling atmosphere, our group of five was promptly accommodated, with seating readily available. Overall, this venue is deserving of exploration, offering a blend of distinctive character and culinary offerings that warrant attention.

Interesting decor, the food was expensive for the quality. It was average bar fare, the medium well steak was way too red, and the optional mushroom upgrade did not taste fresh. The service was good, the habit of tossing peanut shells on the floor was not as amusing as the staff thinks it is, the entire meal was interrupted by crushing and crunching shells everytime someone walked by. Plus all the smokers right by the entrance which you have to walk through to enter and leave was rather nauseous.

I bet the deciding factor to come here, was for the baked french onion soup. Someone I know has to order it every time she sees it. Definitely a whiskey pub atmosphere, with great food and good music. Waitress was nice and speedy....as we didn't have much time. Baked french onion was delicious.

Place was half empty. We went in to eat and the female bartender got all bent out of shape because we moved one of the bar chairs to give us room to sit down. They have all kinds of signs saying BE NICE OR LEAVE but they obviously don't apply to the worker bees.

Hands down one of the best bars in downtown Petoskey. Simple and unassuming, great selection of bar food and snacks for all, free peanuts, cheap and cold beer, pitchers, and enough interesting items on the wall to keep you busy for hours. Service is always fast and on top of it, I've never had my food take too long either. It can get a bit busy and packed, but that's to be expected from such a great place. During the day it's a great place to grab lunch, even dinner with friends and family. Only place in town which serves food late too, great drunk snacks. If you haven't gone yet what are you waiting for?

The best nachos ever! A small is perfect for 2. Real cheese. Great draft beer selection. Friendly and attentive service.

Always enjoyed going here. The French onion soup is by far the best around. Sadly the booth section was closed off, so we sat in the bar section. Very busy, crowded and loud.. as to be expected. Our server Alydia was AWESOME!! All the servers were busy and seemed to be on point with their tasks.

Hemingway once haunted here; I'm glad we did too. Food and drinks (even a flaming one the bartender crafted with flair) were delicious, atmosphere was moody and bawdy by the bar and romantic and more relaxed in the dining area. Great spot.

We've been eating here every time we're in Petoskey. 40 plus years now. Never disappointed! Our favorite is the grilled cheese with ham and their french onion soup. Good drinks too. 👍

It’s been a long time since I’ve had a burger this good!! True authentic bar burger!!! White chili was awesome and I highly recommend it. My wife loved her grilled cheese.

I went with a bachelorette group last month for drinks, and even though the atmosphere was great, they told us right before we sat down they couldn't split our checks. There were 12 of us, we all wanted different things, and we would have had to pay one giant check. No one was prepared to pay for all 12 people. They then said they could split it up per 3 tables, but then we'd still have to pay someone back. It was just weird. Went to a different restaurant and they had no problem splitting our checks.

White chicken chili, staff was friendly and it’s worth it just to walk in and see the decor…you won’t regret it

One of my favorite places in Petoskey! The service is always friendly and fast. The last time we visited Jeff was our server. We were in a bit of a rush for a couple beers and snacks and he stepped up with prompt delivery on both. Will be returning soon for their French Onion Soup. Yum!
