A mega hike. About 550m up and 5km there and back. It’s pretty steep. The view at the end is worth it. We did however end up in this trail by accident as we were trying to do Pedra Da Gavea. Right at the start by the waterfall it’s up the rock left to Gavea and right for Ceu

Amazing view on Rio's coastline. Well worth the effort to reach it. The trail isn't too difficult up to this point but it can get slippery when wet and the high humidity will definitely take its toll. Slow and steady should do it. Remember to bring water and beware the (big) fall on the edge.

One of my favorite sunrise hikes in Rio de Janeiro. Trail is reasonably straight forward. I did it first time with no guide. Just download AllTrails and you’re good to go. Enjoy this beautiful hike 😁

National park opens at 8am. You can hike alone actually. Just download alltrails and follow the path. You won't get lost. Prepare to get really sweaty as it is humid. Also you should have shoes that has some teeth for sure. You can take the metro till jardím oceanico and then take an Uber for 10 minutes. Cheapest way for sure.
