Great food with reasonable prices. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. My veggie Flammkuchen arrived with the biggest chunks of vegetables I have ever seen. Tasted amazing.

One of the best dine-in restaurants in Freiburg. I would give 4.5 stars ideally but only for the size of the portions, which is bit on the smaller side. The 'hausgemachte' gnocchi and pasta is amazing as are the sauces used. The menu is extensive and also very typical if the region. The flammkuchen is also amazing but it on the lower side of toasting, for my preference. The drink selection is neat. The wines are bit more on the expensive side but they have a good local selection, so you are probably helping the local wineries. All in all, a great place.

Nice and relaxed place and good attention. The beef was slightly cold. We expect to come back to try the Flammkuchen.

Chips very good (hand cut?) and schnitzel good. Excellent and pleasant service - good atmosphere. Potentially change the beer on tap (not Ganter), freshen flowers on windowsill and offer a little side salad with Schnitzel (Germans cant just have chips, schnitzel and beer for dinner - or can they? :O). Gerne wider.

The food is well prepared and served in a neat traditional way, prices are fair. Staff is well synced, young, nice and polite. Kitchen is open (you can see inside), clean and works well, waiting time for the food preparation is better than expected. The restaurant was completely filled with guests and the food was served on the table without excessive waiting or delays. This Restaurant is neatly decorated in Black forest lodge style mixed with modern decor details. My experience was positive and will gladly come back. As an advice, please make a reservation for the dinner in advance. Great job and keep up the good work! There are parking spaces on the street or on the restaurant premises available and in ca. 50-100 m is one charging point for e-cars.

We had a great lunch at this restaurant : the meat was very tender and well seasoned. Also, the waitress was really nice and the place was cosy, charming. 5/5, we recommend !!
