My boyfriend and I came across this restaurant after his appointment at the passport agency. We were seated quickly, and the food was BOMB!! We ordered the wings and macaroni and cheese. THE FOOD AND DRINKS WERE AMAZING and so was our waiter. I will definitely come back here when in philly.

They have indoor and outdoor seating available. The service was great and the food, fantastic! Their thai chili lime wings were on point! So much beer to choose from and the Tito's and pineapple that I drank was refreshing! I would recommend this spot and definitely going back to try the chicken sandwich.

This was the only place with an open kitchen after I got out of work and I was pleasantly surprised! I got an incredible meal and it was fresh and delicious, the waitress was super kind and patient and understanding and everything was clean and reasonably priced!

A truly prodigious beer selection. A limited, but phenomenally executed menu. My bacon cheeseburger was exactly that and it was delicious. The arugula salad that accompanied it was remarkable. The service was relaxed, personable and expert. If you're in Philly, near Independence Hall, make it a point to visit.

We got a quick bite each and one cocktail. French Onion soup($12), Mac & Cheese($13), and the Spicy Ranch Water($10). Worth every penny. It was all delicious and prepared perfectly. So glad we stopped by on our walk down Chestnut Street. Yum!

The beer selection is fantastic. Local craft beers as well as foreign beers. We didn't eat here, but we drank well. I'm into the music being played from the old vinyl albums.

Unbelievable beer selection. Many things you will not get anywhere else let alone on tap. Mac and cheese was outstanding.

Great beers on tap, as well as can/bottle selection. The Mac and cheese and wings are also amazing. I was out visiting from Los Angeles and they really showed me Philly love. One of the employees over heard that I was visiting and he came over with a can of beer to share with us being that he had recently moved back to Philly from Los Angeles after living out there for 18. I love visiting Philly and this is the kind of hospitality that always has me going back, thank you guys.

Great place to go with a big small or big groups. The service here is amazing and I loved the bartenders that took care of my group. They were very nice and served us quickly. Their kitchen was closed when I last visited but I've been told by many of my friends they have a good selection of food and drinks. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area.

So glad we popped in here! The service was awesome, the beer selection was great (local stuff) and the sausage hoagie was outstanding!!! We shared and it paired perfectly with our beers.

EVENT REVIEW: I helped plan my two friend’s wedding on May 28th for approx 100 people. We started to plan with Dave, the owner, back in 2019 (pre covid days!). When the wedding planning was put on hold, Dave was nothing but flexible. 3 years later and we had the best night! From the quickly-put-together ceremony to all the delicious food, everything was perfect. Service was fast and attentive and the atmosphere is beautiful. Perfect for any reception, work happy hour, bridal shower, etc. They even just added a second floor which will be perfect for any private events. Book your event with Glory… you won’t regret it!

I was pleasantly surprised by the food here. Came in expecting the standard pub grub you would find at most places like this, but my family and I were blown away. The burgers and sandwiches we ordered were fantastic, honestly some of the best food I've had while in Philly.

I was in Philly for a wedding and stopped in for drinks and dinner. More than adequate draft menu with knowledgeable staff. Had the pork belly sandwich and it was quite good. I brought my friends back the next day and they all enjoyed it.

Can't say enough good things about this place. I came in after work with no intentions of eating. After looking at their incredible beer list the octopus app caught my attention. It's one of my favorite things to eat especially when it's cooked right. Not only was it cooked perfectly, but each part of the dish served a purpose and it was delicious. I wanted to try something else so I got the house made pastrami sandwich with sunchoke slaw. I'm not even sure how to express how delicious this was especially since I wasn't even hungry. I had half there, and before I got back to the hotel I stopped and ate the other half. The staff and service was also excellent. This place does it right

The food was good but they have a very limited menu. Check the menu online before you go. The beer menu has many options but you're going to pay a premium for them unless you're ordering the City Wide (CW was $6). The cheapest bottled beer I saw was $12. One was $55. I did get a draft for $7. The City Wide randomly offers a cube of Swiss Cheese. I acknowledge this is weird but also thought, "well this is unique." Ours was served without it and when I asked about it was told, "it's kinda a joke." Our server "Melissa O" seemed less than interested in serving us. Again, the food was good but I definitely wouldn't rush back there.

We had a great time at Glory with our friends this past weekend. The beer selection was great, and the chicken sandwich was the BEST chicken sandwich I've ever had! It was sooo flavorful and juicy. We're looking forward to going again.

We had a very large group of soccer players and parents. They were able to accommodate our group. The service was great. Very organized and not a singletree order was wrong. The food was was great. I had a cashew, feta, watermelon, tomato, salad with french onion soup. It was very good. The selection of beers was incredible. Definitely would go back.

Perhaps the best craft beer program in Philly at the moment. Outstanding range of craft from some of the most sought after breweries. Looking for Trillium, Other Half, Finback, The Vail, Equilibrium, and other juice producers? You’ve found it here. Combine this massive tap lineup with a vinyl-only bar soundtrack, a large bar with plenty of seating, tasty food, friendly bartenders and a knowledgeable and attentive owner. It’s hard to beat. I will continue to come back and recommend Glory to others.

Food is amazing, seriously! Drinks are awesome! And Chris the bartender is killin it! We’ll definitely be back on our next trip out to Philly.

Best craft beer selection in the city. Great food. Wonderful music played on vinyl. Super friendly and attentive staff. They really want this place to be enjoyed. I get it, and love it what they are doing here.

My first visit to Glory was this past week. I met a friend that came to town after 10+ years of not seeing her. Courtney was the star of our visit (followed closely by their fries). She gave great recommendations on drinks and let us catch up, being incredibly attentive while allowing us to talk at every point of our visit. It wasn’t busy when we arrived and then an Eagle’s game came on. This is the place you want to watch a game for sure. Can’t wait to come back. Hope Courtney is there.

Went as part of a very large group on a Sunday night, and they clearly weren't ready for us. It's not really a high volume spot, and that's almost certainly on us and not them. That said, the beer selection is fantastic, the food is delicious- pub food on steroids seems to be the vibe- and the "always spinning vinyl" aesthetic and sound is a welcome addition. If I had to hazard a guess, this would be a phenomenal quiet weeknight beer and sandwich spot, though maybe not the place I'd take thirty to fifty tired coworkers, even with notice.

Glory is the perfect neighborhood bar w just enough non locals. They have a fantastic selection of beer along with full bar service. They know their beer and will guide you to your next enjoyable sip. They have event space and can accommodate large parties. Love this place - go check it out! And support local!

Stumbled upon this place on my last night in Philly before returning to England. Wish I found it earlier! Great selection of craft beers some local some imported clearly something for everyone. Nice touch with the vinyl being played. Just caught the end of one of my favourite albums of all time when I walked in - Madness, One Step Beyond. Got a good blast of Talking Heads tho! Great bar staff who had had a really busy evening with a large unexpected coach party. My crispy chicken sandwich hit the spot too. Thanks!

Stopped in for cocktails after a movie. Our waitress told us that the food is all made on premises so we decided to stay for dinner. Everything was delicious. Hubby and I shared some apps and our son had fish and chips. The fish actually looked like fish. I'd like to post a picture of the beet salad because it looked beautiful and tasted great but it'snotworking. As others have stated beer list was great as well.

The Quest for the Legendary Mac & Cheese In the realm of Philadelphia, a legendary dish known as the "Mac & Cheese" is said to exist, with tales of its velvety smooth cheese sauce and perfectly al dente sprial pasta locks the cheese in like "Hold Person" on a target who keeps failing their Wisdom Saving Throws. This mac and cheese is sung by bards across the land. The bread crumbs on the top are fantastic and may make you mistake them for dust of tracelessness, which how quickly you can destroy the mac and cheese. This dish isn't just a feast for the stomach; it's a feast for the soul.

HUGE SHOUT OUT!! My daughters wedding rehearsal gathering was held at Glory!! What an amazing venue it was!! She had approximately 40-50 guests in their upstairs renovated space…drinks were flowing and food was delicious!! The owner and the bartenders made sure everything was exactly as my daughter requested!! Beautiful location… in the heart of Olde City!!

After a day of being the typical tourist, my wife and I were trying to sort through the restaurants to figure where to stop. She wanted a burger and said we were stopping here. After nearly 20 years of being married, I've learned nothing good comes from arguing with women so Glory it was... and, I'm glad we went. It had a "farmhouse industrial" look (the wife, again). The first thing that hit me is the music was not provided by the latest popular streaming service, but by the bartenders changing the vinyl. Chris and Melissa as our hosts were awesome. The were friendly and attentive while not being overbearing. The burgers were ON. POINT. They were cooked to perfection, and absolutely hit the spot. We live about two hours hours from here and come to town once or twice a year. I'm not going to absolutely guarantee we will make this a stop every time, but if we end up in this area, they can count on us stopping in.

This is a great bar. The beer list is extensive and always rotating, with craft beer from all over the country and even Europe. The bar owner Dave is a beer connoisseur - describe your favorite beers and he’ll bring you the perfect new beer to try. The food is great too - highly recommend the Mac n cheese or the eggplant sandwich! The atmosphere is fantastic, great for any day of the week, music is always vinyl, and if the exposed brick isn’t lovely enough, the wall depicting the owner’s dog is famous. Oh and if there’s an event you’re trying to host, there’s a large upstairs event space perfect for anywhere from 70-100 people (saw a whole wedding party come through!)

Hands down the best bartenders in Philly, Chris and his work partner (for the love of me I can’t remember her name sadly) were awesome! The first night that we visited glory they each made us a list of cool spots to check out. Hers was better. 😂 We spent the following days bombing around the city checking out dive bars, speakeasies and rooftops. One list was fish town and the other south philly. Philly is our favorite place in the world and it’s because of people like this. When we returned they were both equally excited to see what we had done off of their lists. I have to say that can’t wait to visit glory again in hopes to Hang out next time we visit. Glory is an amazing spot and we will most definitely return for some of those dangerously good cocktails, and even better conversation. Cheers.

Phenomenal burger, excellent tap list, friendly staff and very cool atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a great brew and great bite in an Olde City type of setting....or any setting for that matter

We tried Glory on our first night in Philly and liked it so much, we went back a few nights later. They have a great beer selection for beer nerds, good music selections by the staff (all vinyl), great food that is mostly made from scratch, and a nice vibe. Locals of different ages seem to frequent this place. Definitely a place where anyone who enjoys great beer and food would feel welcome. If I lived in Philly, I would definitely be a regular. Staff was really friendly too!

Great for a catered event with delicious vegan options! And very good service. Bartenders made a great mocktail at a great price. We'll be back to try more of the menu.

Great bar with a superb beer menu. Surprisingly good food offerings too. Had the octopus and it was a huge piece and charred to perfection. Highly recommended to stop in if you are in the area. Delirium Tremens on tap was a happy surprise Went back a year later. Octopus and beer still delicious. Had the crostini this time and wow was that good. Smaller size bite with intense flavor and a little bit of heat. so good

  • 5/5 Brad T. 1 year ago on Google
Went there for a family party had a great time the food was good and they stuffed you with more than you could eat. They are on a time limit but they really didn't enforce it that much we stayed a a good 20 minutes later but I get it, it is Center City and they try and get you in and out in an hour. But it's a really nice place to meet and if you like a salad or steak fajitas you'll definitely like theirs.

Wrote this on yelp and wanted to share here, as well. I work for a CPG company and one of my top suppliers wanted to treat me for Happy Hour. He mentioned a place in Olde City where he heard great things about the food and beer -- Glory! I've lived in the city a long time, but tend to hang more in north Philly, so I was interested to try something new. My supplier and I were very impressed; the menu was simple, yet hit on a little something for everyone (I'm a vegetarian). The beer was thoughtfully selected and definitely held its own in a city that is known for fantastic beer options. Our bartender, Chris, was very welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive the entire time. He even engaged in a home-brewing discussion (inclusive of technical details) with my supplier. Morgan, also behind bar, worked seamlessly with Chris to ensure the full bar and some tables had drinks/food without delay. The environment was a mix of "old school" (see: wooden bar with elbow rest) and industrial. Lowish-lighting (but not too low). Clean bathrooms. Great details. HIGHLY suggest a stop (or two or three) here. I'll definitely be returning! Thanks, Chris and Morgan, for killin' it!

Wow! What a great find. We were here in Philly for the first time and stumbled upon this gem while walking after visiting all of the historical sights. It turned out that this place has one of the biggest beer menus I've ever seen! The food was spectacular and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, even though there was a big lunch time rush and they had a limited staff. Alex the bartender was great at recommending beer and his choices were excellent. Would highly recommend when your in the area!

Love our neighborhood gem! Glory follows Covid protocol with full range of outdoor tables, QR codes for menus, sanitizer stations. Indoor tables are comfortably spaced. Their menu is wonderful with easy appetizers, nice range of sandwiches and specials. We have never been disappointed! Full range of BEER selection that is always fresh and appealing. Love that we can always go home with our Crawlers. Come on by and visit often to get the full benefits of Glory.

Had a great experience here for dinner. The employees were attentive and knowledgeable, and did a great job of making us feel welcomed and at home in their establishment. There are a wide selection of beers and other drinks to choose from with a wide range of prices to suit any budget, as well as reasonably priced food items that fit the typical bar food menu style. The aesthetics of the bar are cozy and chill, and I would highly recommend coming here for a relaxed evening of food and drinks.

Glory is a really nice place. The atmosphere was nice, staff was super friendly and helpful, and the beer list is HUGE. So many beers to pick from, but I'm not a beer drinker. I prefer ciders and fruity drinks, which there were none of, but that's not really on them, that's just what I drink. My friends and I got food and it was just perfect. I wish they had some fruity drinks or ciders to go with all the beers on offer, but other than that it was a perfect place to stop for dinner. Highly recommend!

Somewhere between a 2 or 3 stars. Beer selection was very good and the bartender knew his stuff. The mac and cheese with bacon was very cheesy and delicious. Service was extremely poor though. There were people sitting at the bar that seemed to get served fine. The two or three tables that were there appeared to be a bother though and forgotten often. Felt like a burden to the staff

Really love this place. I waited to review until I had a chance to try everything on the menu. There isn't a single thing that isn't worth getting, from the very accessible sliders to the porchetta sandwich. The beer selection covers just about anyone's tastes, and the staff select and play vinyl the whole time they're open. Can't recommend Glory enough!

I'm glad they did something with the old Mad River. Great atmosphere here, I like how the bar is seperate from the tables and sitting area so if you have a good amount of people you can sit down. GREAT beer selection, prices were decent. Good amount of sours and hefs. Ordered wings. Asked for well-done and they came out super crispy which I appreciate. Sauce started sweet with a spicy finish. The sauce was a little disappointing, I like that they tried to do the homemade sauce but it didn't have much flavor ordo anything for the jngs. Good solid wings, would order again, but not the best wings I have had.
