When you're not from somewhere and you're looking for a place to go, you always ask the locals. This time we asked our lyft driver on the way home from dinner. . and she failed us. We get to the door & we were told $10 for a cover. When it comes to clubs that you can't even see / hear the "fun" happening inside. . you're kind of sketch and questionable. So we walk away and went to walk into a nearby bar. My friend goes outside for a phone call and the security guard told her that we can get in for free. So okay. . We walk up the stairs and hear music, cool. We get to the top and well, the question "where is everyone". For us to be pushed for a cover charged .. whew. Then, when we were trying to get on the roof. . the security guard said "you must buy a drink" in order to go LOL. what? okay. My friend bought a drink. . $14 for crown and coke. . that was maybe like 6oz. A waste. . he then went upstairs and it was EMPTY. . no one. So basically what we got from this place is that 1) it's not popping 2) security guards try to scam you 3) the bar is a scam. . but 4) decor was nice. Will not be returning.

Would NEVER go back there, they take your card and license up front when your sitting at a table with a waitress. The waitress took her time with the check, I paid cash on the table, and they still ran the card. When calling to get situation resolved, they accused us of not paying. We asked them to run their cameras back and they said they don’t see us paying which is a lie!!! We left the money under the receipt on table and notified the waitress that we did so.. horrible experience

This should be called a Club, Bar, anything but a Lounge or Restaurant! Huge SCAM NO CITY VIEWS THEY HAVE THE TERRANCE covered with white boards so you can’t see anything, No city views like in the old pictures, probably was nice at some point, but that was last decade the place is in shambles now! They don’t take reservations ok It’s was my Birthday so I was looking for a restaurant with a view since I had guests from out of town. There was a $20 cover PP, I’m new to town and trying to find something else with my guests 7 standing at the door, I gave in. I asked the guy at the door charging is this a restaurant? Ppl where dressed in club attire, he said yes. Asked are they tables he just said first come. Well we where already there. We go in no tables first floor big dance floor tho, the only table is in front stairs on the top floor, so we ask to sit outside. We are told it is bottle service only $300 After back and forth In so embarrassed my guests are trying to say it’s ok, but I give in get a bottle. No other tables outside around us have bottles. They scammed us! Music was horrible worst mumble Rap all night the DJ is so bad. Not even going to talk about the bathroom....NEVER AGAIN!!!

I would give zero stars if i could. This place is not recommended to anyone trying to have a good time. There is a $10 surcharge for EACH person that wants to go in and this place is not been worth a penny off the street to go into. This is not a “skybar” of any sort. They have everything upstairs enclosed outside so you feel as if you are inside. The music was so loud and they played the same song over and over again. The drinks were far too overpriced. Staff was friendly but other than that, this place is definitely not recommended. Their photos online look nothing like what this so called club does.

So, my servers weren't rude, like a lot of the other reviews say, they were just inattentive. I had to frequently wait for someone to make rounds to ask for more drinks or dessert.. Eh.. the food/drinks.. The drinks were small, the food portion size was small, and they came out in small plastic cups and plastic containers. The food was good. I just don't think the experience was worth the drive from NJ, and the parking garage fees. We also had to pay 20$ per person as a cover to get in. It wasn't a crowded Saturday night. Anyway, It was very nice inside and the music was also nice. I just think I could've spent my money elsewhere. It was a nice experience, but I don't think i'll be back.

$20 to get into the sky bar which was 2 tents with tables. The second floor was closed. Space heaters were around for warmth. Everyone was doing hookah. My friend said the price was a good $38. The DJ was playing current hip-hop & every song sounded the same The wings & fries were seasoned well & crispy. Drinks were good. We moved inside when it got chilly & windy.

I was walking down the street and I found this Skybar, so I thought it would be cool to have dinner at a skybar. I was asked in the entrance for a cover of 20 bucks pp, so far no problem. We enter and the place looks like lack of maintenance, which for the middle floor I thought that was okay, as long as the Skybar is cool. Well it wasn’t, it looks like the administration has no interest in be attractive, which made me uncomfortable about the food. Once I go down, and I explained that I did not even sit, I would appreciate a refund, it was denied. Well... the easiest 40 bucks Vango got, I hope they use the contributions to at least make it nicer. Don’t come meanwhile...

Went for the “sky bar” and if you’re looking for a city view this is not the place for you. That’s fine though, my review is not about that. This is also a hookah bar and when we turned it down simply just wanting drinks and food with a view, our server seemed displeased… okay. The food came out quickly and was quite good but was cold. When I say it came out quick it was less than five minutes after ordering. The drinks weren’t good either. If I’m ordering a mixed drink I expect it to taste like a specialty drink, not rubbing alcohol. Okay fine, maybe that’s just my taste. So we decided to leave as it wasn’t the spot for us. The server all of a sudden started being extremely rude to us, muttering under her breath and copping attitude that we were leaving…? The rest of our time there waiting for our check and the box for our food felt very uncomfortable and unwelcoming. There was also a $20 PER PERSON charge to get in. We were seated immediately with no wait, so why the entrance fee. $40 just to get in and get bad drinks, cold food, no view, and less than stellar service is a no for me. I was extra friendly hoping the servers attitude would change, but it did not… save your money.

Pictures are nothing similar to what’s shown on the website. 10 dollar cover per person at the door, no big deal so far. Go upstairs to the roof top and the place is trashed. Ordered 2 drinks and my bill was 54 dollars. To add do it, the drinks were in 12oz cups. Will never come here again and I’d strongly recommend the same to anyone else.

So, my brother is turning 21 on the 23rd and I wanted to check out some cool places in the city for us to go to, and I googled Vango to browse their website... I was automatically redirected to a Viagra website for prescriptions. I called the number on the website and the man that answered was a bit rude and did not speak clear at all. I explained the website was jacked up and he didn't care and kept saying they don't take reservations. I was just trying to be nice. After reading these reviews, I definitely won't be going here.

Weird vibes. $10 cover to get in and it was only 9pm on a Friday. Place was kinda dead so what was the cover for? Food is mid. Drinks are watered down. And then I was overcharged!!! Tip is already included but they added extra cuz my $40 bill was charged $55 on my bank statement. DJ downstairs was playing great music but there were only a few guests and they were all sitting upstairs.

This place is horrible! I went there on New Year’s Eve and paid a whopping $40 to get in even though they advertised it as free to get in with free cocktail drink. The reviews are pretty low and I can see why. I took a chance because it said there were nice views from the rooftop, however when we got there the tables were terribly small, no dance floors and rooftop was closed. The place was so cramped and small I couldn’t believe the audacity of charging ppl $40 to get in and on top of that wanting $300 for a bottle. If I’d known this, would’ve never wasted my money or time even going there. His & Hers is way better. I left 10 minutes after entering. It was such a disappointment, I’m thinking about filling a dispute with my bank for fraud because the advertisement was misleading.

OMG I’m so glad I didn’t listen to the reviews on this one. We went on a Thursday night, Jessie was our waitress she was so attentive and helpful like literally asking us every 5 minutes if we were ok. There was a $10 cover and the steps are deadly but I’m not complaining. Lol the drinks food and hookah was all amazing and affordable, gratuity included. I’ll be back, if you go ask for Jessie :).

When I first arrived I really enjoyed the ambience. Bar service was great, the two girls serving were amazing and made sure I was taken care of. Aside from that. I will NOT be returning to this establishment due to a man going up to the servers and began cursing and yelling at then for nonsense. I later learned that he was one of the owners speaking very harshly to the servers. Which he then turned and cursed at me for sticking up for them. I was willing to continue enjoying my night and buying drinks, but after that I will never give those owners a dime.

You always give a benefit of a doubt when heading to places with 2.5 stars. But no. My experience erased all doubts. No roof top access unless you a buy a drink. Fine. Drinks were mediocre and only 4 drinks were on the sips happy hour option. Fine. We get up to the rooftop access and that's where we order food. No service for 20 min. When we flagged someone down they don't apologize. Instead she tells us there's someone else to take our order and she didnt know where she is... that's not fine. No service even after a few friends joined us later and wanted to order too. 15 min till we flagged someone down to give us our damn checks. All not fine. Pros: its a pretty nice location and good environment. Con: service and lukewarm beers.

Really zero stars. This place is a total rip off. Nothing about this place warrants the entry charge, let alone $20. Service is slow and drinks are way overpriced for a tiny plastic cup. Bottle service prices are on par with best NYC or Miami clubs. Avoid.

Service staff were rude and had attitudes. We spent a lot of our time at the table waiting to see if they came over to get our orders. Half the time, we had to go to the bar and to get a drink. One time I went to the bar to get shots, and the bartender printed out the check and handed it to me before making anything. Then she proceed to have a conversation with a guy who brought her food. She finally made the shots. The staff just seem to have attitudes. Very unpleasant.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! Me and my friend traveled to Philadelphia and searched this place on google we arrived and the bouncer told m friend her enhanced id was fake without even flashing a light or scanning it then had a laugh with all the other bouncers we called the manager to come help but even he had a laugh and automatically said it was fake as well this guy said he had to trust his security as if they know more than airport tsa!! We were so shocked! they were all so rude and had us leaving philly with the worst taste in our mouths terrible city with terrible people!

Decor is beautiful. Great service, hookah came out in less than 10-15 mins. Servers had knowledge of the menu. The lemon pepper wings were too notch and fresh. Great spot for pics too. Nice and accommodating staff

Our time spent here was great! The food is surprisingly delicious and the drinks were great. We also had hookah which was reasonably priced and really good! There was a cover charge at the door, which was weird, but whatever. We had a nice lounge experience.

I’m not a local but I have been to Vango’s twice the first time wasn’t terrible so I went again with my friends who wanted to go. There is a $20 cover charge which isn’t terrible but the drinks are OVERPRICED and VERY SMALL. Be prepared to spend at least $100, we spent over $300.

When I first saw this place online I was skeptical but when I actually got to the place it was amazing the food was great !! My service was great etc thank you Allison for your GREAT service and helping me bring my birthday in the RIGHT WAY thank you !! YOU DESERVE A RAISE !! I also recommend the wings and the mozzarella sticks and also the salads are huge … drink were great and hookah was smooth

I usually like the music but it’s not worth the price. Service is poor to mediocre, and I don’t like paying the $20 cover. Drinks and food is expensive. Good location though and well decorated

The food was delish and service was quick and efficient. i got the strawberry patron margarita and it was tasty. I went on a week day and it was pretty early so it was nearly empty when i first got there but the top floor was filling up quickly as the day went along. it was a nice vibe

Registered online & was supposed to get in with no cover & a free drink before 10p. Got there at 830p & was charged $10 a piece & no free drink. & the food was pretty overpriced, which is par for the course when eating at a nite club but just thought I should mention that too.

Me & My girls went on a weekday & it was poppin such a vibe and great dj. We all got drinks a hookah & shared some really good apps! My new spot & its 3 levels!

Dont go here ever! They charge you 30% service charge, 18% gratuity charge and then still ask you to leave a tip!

Really pretty atmosphere. I really enjoyed the vibe here. Staff were nice and the drinks and food were good but the baklava was amazing. I usually don’t even like baklava but theirs was really good. It’s a perfect summer time spot. Will be returning.

10 dollar cover charge per person and the place was dead. The bill was 68 dollars for a single drink and hookah. 18% gratuity is include but it isn’t explicitly said on the check. As I was signing the check the waitress watched over me as I was trying to figure out if the gratuity was already accounted for or not. Feeling pressured I decided to just tip 10 bucks (we had only been there for about 30 minutes). The waitress asked me to tip in cash instead of with card so I handed her 20 bucks. She took the 20 and didn’t give me back any change. Over $100 between the bill, cover charge, gratuity and the tip I didn’t get change on for a drink and hookah. Definitely go somewhere else.

There was a 10 dollar cover charge which I personally have never had a cover charge for a hookah lounge but whatever. They were dead at 9:30 on a friday and the waitress started seating us at a nice booth before trying to move us to a dingy table "in case we get busy." The waitress was clearly annoyed we wanted mostly hookah and just one cocktail. When we went to pay, the waitress quite literally stood over our shoulder and watched us write a ten dollar tip (in addition to the included 18% gratuity) before insisting we scratch out the tip and pay her cash instead. We gave her 20 and expected her to return with the rest but just disappeared. Rude service and she basically stole from us. Do not go.
