Truly 5 stars! The staff here is great, everyone is kind and professional. The rooms are kept clean and are very comfortable. They have an awesome spa and fitness center, and they even have a hair salon. The elevators are a bit confusing at first, but definitely check out the top floor because this hotel has the best view of Philadelphia you can get!

Booked this hotel last minute. Needed a walk-in shower for elderly relative, restaurant inside the hotel, valet hotel parking and close location to Thomas Jefferson Hospital. Well I was very impressed with how clean and modern the room was with amazing city views! The hotel restaurant had a unique yet pricey menu for dinner, definitely not for a picky eater. However, the food was delicious as I enjoyed my brussel sprout salad most of all. Breakfast was more of a normal standard menu with some unique items, above average. All restaurant staff were wonderful and pleasant. Valet parking was wonderful. Everyone I encountered was friendly and my car was brought to me quickly with a smile an any assistance needed for my elderly relative or myself. The hotel has a very nicely laid out fitness center I did not have time to use. Plus a very lovely appointed Salon and Spa that I did not have time to utilize either. I was close to everything, and within walking distance from the hospital. The hotel is not focused around conveniences for young children( no pool or play area), but I would use this hotel again to stay with family.

Wow. This hotel is really nice. But I was harassed by the security while sitting in the lobby area with my bags. I was profiled, and they thought I was just using their hotel to stay warm. All the while, I paid for a two night stay. I explained to the guy I was waiting for my girlfriend to come down with her key to let me up. Long story short, the security guard apologized, but the damage was already done!! Also, I was charged an extra $35 for a mini fridge! I really can’t understand how I paid top dollar to stay here and couldn’t even get a complimentary refrigerator. Staying here was a disaster. Nothing special, but the view outside of the window. If you’re black, just be aware, they do profile, and it was by another black person. Needless to say I will be staying at a different hotel next time, or maybe even an AirBNB (where you get a refrigerator) !! But I will not waste my money here again.

Great experience with the Loews for my wedding! I booked our rooms here along with a room block. Maria and Carolyn were super helpful and always responsive. I took one star away because I had to call three times the night before and morning of for chairs for getting ready with hair and makeup. Not a big deal in the grand scheme. Overall amazing experience!

First time staying at Loews Philadelphia and I know I will be back. The location was convenient. Everywhere we wanted to go was within walking distance. We loved how super friendly the staff was. Every staff member we encountered greeted us, even if just in passing. They were very knowledgeable about the area and provided great recommendations for a few places we wanted to go. The rooms were bright, clean, and had such a freshness in the air. Looking forward to my next visit.

I’m in love with Loews Philadelphia Hotel! The room is very spacious and excellent amenities. All furniture here are quite decent. Service wise, was just standard American style, not impressive yet not bad at all. Compared to other 5 stars hotels’ service in the USA I’ve ever been, Loews still acceptable. They cleaned up the room very well. And I also love their Vitamin E lotion, shampoo and body wash. Love the texture, love the smell and love the packaging as well. Location wise, it’s very strategic for me. Can easily find pharmacy, supermarket and shops Lobby design is quite bad and looks old-fashioned.

It was rated as a 4 star hotel. What I experienced was rather mediocre. I must say that the parking in the garage was quoted at $60. So we chose street parking. It was raining and two blocks away. My choice(over 60 buck valet), but didn't help the experience. The heater in the room was capped at 77°, and I'm very sure it never got close to that. It was 50 outside and maybe 70 inside. Nice sleeping weather, but a bit uncomfortable to sit and eat. All the lights in the room are extremely bright, for a migraine sufferer(me) this was problematic. Lastly we got in at 11pm, and checkout was at 11am. Asked for late checkout and there was no availability. Even with a cost I would have really liked the option. As a daytime sleeper, being able to wake at 1pm would've made a huge difference. End of the day it was a roof over our head for the night. Front desk staff were attentive and pleasant.

Very impressed with this hotel. Comfortable, clean. I did not have to request my room to be cleaned, as some hotels have you do, it was cleaned every day (simply had to hang a card on my door). Mostly impressed with the fitness center- not your typical hotel fitness center... far from it! Several treadmills, elliptical, even a rowing machine and several weights and weight machines. I stayed at this hotel for a conference, which happened to be at the hotel so I was able to experience the food which was also great. 5/5 would recommend.

The rooms are very well composed and the bathrooms are clean and functional. The ballrooms here are great for holding events (we participated in a chess tournament there). The only problem I had with the hotel was that the elevators take a long time to arrive. And when they do arrive, they are often crowded to the point that you wouldn't even be able to fit one extra person. So if you have an event to attend, you should consider allocating a couple of minutes to wait for the elevator.

My first time visiting this hotel was an amazing experience. The scenery was beautiful, and I took full advantage of the amenities such as the gym with a fantastic sauna. The breakfast was a great experience supported by a sweet staff member named Gigi. The digital/electronically experience could be updated within the rooms but none the less I slept like a baby in the comfy bed. I definitely would recommend a stay here, and look forward to booking at the other locations.

Wife there for conference. Room was fine and bed comfortable. The restaurant downstairs had excellent breakfast but dinners were, for us, a bit pricey. Easy walk to Reading Terminal Market and many restaurants. Staff was helpful and friendly and valet parking helps to ease the check in and out.

Went for a wedding. Staff were wonderful. Lobby and elevator lobbies on each floor were dark and dismal, and don't try to get a working iron. But it was conveniently located by historical areas and having the Market across the street was a great plus. The rooms were clean and neat and comfortable. All together, we were satisfied with the hotel.

The location is unbeatable, right down town in walking distance of almost anything. Rooms are very clean and neat. Gorgeous bathrooms with good lighting. The gym is nice but pretty small, and it offers a spa at an additional cost (did not use it, but it looks very nice). Overall, I would definitely stay there again.

I don't understand how they are 4 star hotel when you can't control room temperature. We came from Texas, and where they were still in the 80s, and in this room, you can't set the temperature higher than 77, and do not feel the warm wind at all. It was consistently blowing cold air. We got sick the second day, and we had to attend to a wedding with sickness. It was a very awful experience, and ruining our next experience going to LA universal as well, since we are still sick 2 days after because of the room temperature being at 73. Sound prove is horrible as people walking pass your room, or use the toilet. I can even hear their small conversation very clear. Room is super small, you can even offered to lay a big suitcase open. Not to mention they have no refrigerator or microwave. Next is their stuff being rude at the value parking, they were being rude to me and my friend but not to those white people. Double the price than a holiday inn I stay anywhere, but not even half of the service I can receive.

Room very comfortable good size bed nice employee are OK. Some of them. They are very helpful and some others that they will never talk to you back when you're speaking to them. Location is the worst things the area is home for homeless, not normal people you will smell a lot of marijuana. It's not safe at all. You cannot walk by yourself specially, if you look clean and nice for me, I wear dress like them so I can walk at least going and eat that something from any restaurant nearby. I did not like the area at all and I don't recommend it for anyone.اذا انت عربي ابتعد عن هالمكان يخووف حالتهم حالة كلهم ناس عايشين بالشوارع ابتعدوا عن هالمنطقه مافيه شيء فيه خير

Worst hotel experience that we’ve ever had. This hotel is DANGEROUS! We did not feel safe after finding a random couple in our room. Checked into the hotel at 4 pm, went to a wedding. When coming back for the night, we entered our room to find a woman in bed and a man coming out of the shower. This couple went to front desk, gave a random room number and they were never asked to show ID. This was a very bad situation for my family! Will never use a Loews Hotel in the future, ESPECIALLY not Philadelphia!

Easy access to valet parking in the heart of the city. Gorgeous views and phenomenal staff. Truly reflects the Ciry of Brotherly...and Sisterly...love! First rate, class act. Well appointed rooms that were extremely quiet too. A big plus for traveling professionals with meetings scheduled.

My partner and I booked a stay at the Loews for a getaway weekend, and it was everything we hoped for. The room was clean, the location was convenient to downtown, and there was valet parking which was really convenient since we didn’t have to drive around searching for a spot. The room service food is also very delicious. We enjoyed everything about our stay. Recommend this hotel for those looking for a nice experience in Philly!

Horrible, when I checked in, the front desk was just bad attitude, and after I told her the first deposit was approved, she insisted it didn’t go through, and charge me again, and it gets confused. Her speed was so slow and unprofessional. After I go upstairs and get into my room, I was shocked again, I reserved a king bed room but the room was two bed. I go downstairs and asked her why, she told me there are out of king bed room, but I reserved it! Then why the system let me reserved a king bed room? This is ridiculous. And so confused. By the way, the king bed room is more expensive then two bed room when I booked it, and it just makes me so frustrated.

Scam Alert: I was there for a business trip. The room and stay itself was great. However, my credit card alerted me one night during my stay about a $20.05 charge. I called front desk the next morning, they said it's just an authorization, not a charge. I trusted them. The next couple of nights, I saw a couple more charges around 60 dollars. It felt strange but I didn't have time to call them again (I thought it was some sort of security deposit or that authorization hold type of thing again). When I checked out at the front desk, I spoke to their staff whose name is Lester. He said I have a parking charge. I immediately told him no, I don't have a car, I am here for work, and our office is right around the corner, 2 minutes walk and I don't need a car. I don't know why I even have to explain something I didn't do (It's ridiculous). Lester said that he disputed it and I am all set and I won't receive a bill. I asked Lester for a printed copy of the receipt. He rejected me, saying that they don't give receipts because it was booked by third party (I assume he was referring to the travel agent our company uses). It felt a little strange, but I trusted him. Just when I got home tonight, I received an email from them, with a parking bill of $60.03. I am literally speechless. I had to reply to them in the email again the same thing I told Lester. I guess I have no choice but to share this experience here and be prepared to report scam to my credit card company. UPDATE (Sept 3, 2023): Lester called me and explained that the charge was accidentally added back to my bill after he disputed it. He has corrected it, and sent me an updated bill - where it indicates I should be receiveing a refund. I SO MUCH appreciate Lester's professionalism and putting customer first, and for his help not only the first time when I checked out, but also following up on the phone with me today to resolve the issue. Applause to him.

Absolutely terrible service at Loews hotel. When we arrived (2 hours after the acceptable check-in time) we were told our room was cleaned but not “checked off” yet so it would take only 5 minutes and they would text us when it was ready and we could wait in the lobby. 15 minutes later I returned to the desk to get the exact same line from the same individual. He tried to contact house keeping to check on the room but the line was busy. 45 minutes later, we finally got into our hotel room. We had to push back our dinner reservation (thankfully the restaurant was understanding) because we had to wait so long to get into a room. Room was nice, service was horrendous - we will never stay there again.

Very positive experiences. I got a great deal on Hotwire and booked the room with 50% discount. Though the hotel website says check-in time 4 pm but I checked in at 2:30 pm, no problem. This was very important to me because I just finished my red eye flight and badly need some sleep. The service was incredible. It happened to be my birthday and the front desk staff gave 40$ worth buffet breakfast credit. The buffet was, ah, totally beyond the worth the 40$!! Very fresh, high quality food. Also, I was surprised that I could request a microwave and a water kettle delivered to my room... very helpful because I need hot water, and I need to heat my left-over food.

The hotel staff were incredibly polite and attentive, resolving my early check-in concern quickly and without fuss. All of the housekeeping and food service staff greeted me with a smile, and any time I had a question they had a swift, helpful answer. The hotel was close to several landmarks, shopping and dining places, and made it easy to plan activities during our scheduled free time.

Booked this super last minute for a weekend away, and couldn’t be happier. The price for a Saturday night was unbeatable based on location and amenities. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance, and I’ve stayed at equal hotels in the area that were much more expensive than this one. I read that check in was at 4pm, but we came around 2 to drop our bags and wander around for a bit, and were told our room was already ready! The woman at the front desk was awesome and super friendly. We had a corner king room, and it’s smaller but for two people it was absolutely fine.. the beds are comfy.. rooms are clean… and the pool was great. There’s a little bar out there, and plenty of lounge chairs and patio type furniture. I don’t recommend the bar downstairs because their cocktails were way too sweet and we couldn’t drink them, but this is easily our new favorite hotel in town.

We had a wonderful three night stay at the Loews Philadelphia. The room was very clean, we had a king-sized bed that was very comfortable, there was a large nicely appointed bathroom and the shower had very good water pressure and lots of hot water. There was a coffee maker and coffee in the room, and there was a safe in the closet. Both came in handy throughout the stay. There was a large flat-screen TV with cable and HBO. The room was quiet overall, and there is daily maid service. We had one issue with the room, and Jihad, at the front desk, did an exceptional job at resolving the problem. (Thanks, Jihad!). Highly recommended!

Great stay. Would recommend highly. Rooms are nicely sized, cool and quiet with comfortable beds. The building is beautiful architecturally and everyone working there was friendly and helpful. The only downside was the restaurant was not open Monday and Tuesday and the convenience kiosk in the lobby didn’t get their bakery delivery on those days making breakfast a challenge. Thank goodness for the wonderland of food at the Reading Market a block and a half away. We did takeaway and brought it back to the hotel for breakfast most mornings (Dutch Eating Place!) We also found limited restaurants with outdoor seating in the immediate vicinity, if that’s important to you. Walk about 10-15 min and you have a plethora of options.

This hotel is fantastic, rooms are clean, staff are friendly, elevators are secure. Love that the attached restaurant just bills to your room card on file. I would certainly stay here again and recommend to anyone who is staying in Philly and needs to go to the convention center.

  • 5/5 John R. 6 months ago on Google
From the moment you enter there is a very courteous staff waiting to assist you. There is added security as you need your room key to access the elevators and common bathroooms. The maid service was also prompt. The lobby and bar had an amazing atmosphere which made it a great place to watch all the big games!

  • 2/5 Joshua Tintes M. 4 months ago on Google
The location is great, but the rooms sound insulation is mid to unbearable. The room had 3 not working lamps, a broken toilet, and broken tub. My sister’s room was similar, which was on a different floor and different floor plan. So if you like taking showers in your dirt, having your lights turn off and on and hearing literally everything then you have come to the right place. Otherwise, great location, great staff, and comfy bed.

Nice hotel in weekday could be considered the center of the city. 2 blocks from city Hall and 3 blacks from Love Park, the hotel is in a great area. The rooms are clean and large, at least on the 27th floor! The elevators aren't the most responsive, as big groups seem to show that not all the elevators are working. Has plenty of amenities, coffee bar, liquor bar, a few restaurants and parking.

  • 4/5 Dave S. 5 months ago on Google
Older building and along with that expected issues. Room was small but clean. Everything in the bathroom was reasonable updated and as to be expected. Conference rooms, catered food and event support seemed to be really great. Location is decent close to Reading Terminal and fashion district and city hall but that being said. Homeless are still there and plentiful which makes it a little rough and eventful.

The hotel is nice, front lady was very friendly and helpful. We booked 2 rooms and we were so surprised that we can go from one room to another from the inside. Everything overall is great except one of our pillow is dirty...has stains on it. With pandemic on going, this is scary.

A bit of history and beautiful views marked our stay at Lowe's. Comfy king size bed with a nice overlook of the Ben Franklin Bridge, the Gallery/Fashion District and Reading Terminal Market. Great temperature control in rooms, lush towels and toiletries and no noise from the street to interrupt your sleep.

We had a great time! The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff is super helpful. They are very kind, and always ready to help and answer all your questions. We had a minor problem with the AC in the room and the staff took care of it in a very fast and efficient way. Location is great. We would definitively stay here again!

Even though we played musical rooms trying to get a king sized bed, everyone was super nice. The rooms were beautiful and we had a relaxing stay. Breakfast was kind of hit or miss, mostly miss, but the hotel itself was amazing and the staff were top notch.

Wow, what a sophisticated and beautiful hotel! The room was spacious and beautifully decorated with modern furnishings and the view from the 22nd floor was incredible. My one and only critique is that the towels were incredibly hard and felt like sandpaper - yuck. Otherwise a great hotel!

Loews has the best customer-oriented staff I've seen in a long time! Everyone was so friendly and very helpful. The hotel is very, very clean and the bed was so comfortable to sleep in. I got better sleep there than I do at home. I highly recommend this hotel.

I was charged a Package fee of $10.00 because I had mail delivered to the hotel. I understand if I'm having multiple packages delivered to charge a handling fee but for one package is a cash grab. It's not like all of your guest do this, just the guests on business that haven't been home in months. Not very business friendly in my mind. There are plenty of hotels that don't charge this fee, I'll go elsewhere next time.

We had a decent time at this hotel. The staff were friendly and attentive and the room was clean. Beds were small for a family of 4. Hotel food options on the steep price side. Would consider another trip for my wife and me, but not the 4 of us.

  • 5/5 C B. 1 year ago on Google
Work trip, stayed 6 days. I slept really well and enjoyed my stay. The staff was absolutely wonderful. There were only 2 things that could be improved upon, an interesting smell around the plumbing in the bathroom and not really a complaint, more of a nuance, but housekeeping would give you a new shower mat everyday, I wish they would just replace it on the floor if they’re going to take the old one rather than make you lay it out again, it got old having to lay a new bath mat out 5-6 times. Still enjoyed the stay, again, staff was excellent. Special recognition goes to Adrienne at La Colombe, she was fantastic.

Our wedding night stay was made perfect with the help of the great experience we had with The Loews Hotel!! We had a beautiful club level suite overseeing all of Philadelphia with champagne and a charcuterie board waiting for us. We felt so special and valued as their guests. The room was stunning and the staff was extremely helpful in our stay! Perfect spot!

Loews Philadelphia is in a great location. The staff is excellent, the rooms are nice and clean. The event staff is particularly great. Travel between floors by elevator was horrible. More than once we waited 15 minutes or more for a ride up or down. Not sure what can be done to fix this, but it is super inconvenient.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in! We will definitely come back next time we're in Philly. Our luxury double room was large, clean, and bright with huge windows and a stunning view of the city! Beds were wonderful, downtown location is fantastic, and without exception every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful.

Centrally located in in the city center of Philly. Lots of places to eat, conveniences near by and area is safe and easy walking to touristy sites. Rooms are clean and well staffed front lobby with courteous help. Beds are smaller and hot water is lacking, but there was good water pressure. I would stay there again without hesitation.

We stayed here for the weekend and it was terrific! Every aspect of our stay was just what we were looking for. The staff, especially the concierge, was very helpful. Also, the front desk staff was very accomodating. The room was spacious and clean. The Bourbon bar and hotel lobby were great places to hang out. Honestly, everything about our stay was terrific! We'll be back.

Nice-sized room, comfortable bed. My room was clean each day when I returned from my meetings. Room service was quick. Every staff member I came into contact with was polite, friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to let me know they recognized me each day. Perfect location to Marriott and Convention Center as well as food and shopping. I would stay again.

Great location. Plenty of restaurants and stores all around the hotel. Reading Terminal Market within minutes walking distance. Easy to Uber most anywhere from hotel within minutes. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The bar lounge was very delightful. Great drinks and snack foods.

We stayed here for a wedding and got a great price ($149.00) for a room. Check-in was extremely quick and friendly. Housekeeping and bellhop quickly responded to our requests for different pillows and a luggage cart. Loved the text-message system for making these requests.

During my initial stay at this hotel, I was impressed by the exceptional customer service. Although I encountered a minor issue on my first night, it was effortlessly resolved by Mark C, one of the supervisors. The hotel offers stunning views of downtown Philadelphia, and the rooms are not only spacious but also comfortable and cozy. The interior design is captivating, and the hotel's location in the center of the city is excellent. In addition, the hotel provides a gym, conference rooms, and a restaurant bar. The staff is highly professional, contributing to an overall fantastic experience. Valet parking is also available for convenience.

Great hotel, service was good. Rooms were clean, we had a great view of the city. My only complaint would be the parking rate of $50 a night for hotel guest, it’s pretty excessive. We stayed with the Amex Hotel collection and had a $100 credit to use in the hotel and it was used up completely by the parking fee, and still had to pay the 22% tax on top of that. Walking distance of several restaurants

Excellent location and nice and comfortable hotel. Decent food at the bar/lounge on site. This was my 2nd stay here in 6 months and my room wasn't as clean as my first stay. Valet parking takes a very long time during check-in and check out hours. You might wait 30 minutes for your car.

Friendly, accommodating staff. Appealing atmosphere in public gathering areas. Bank & Bourbon restaurant/bar very nice, but a bit pricey. Rooms are very nice and comfortable. Ventilation made things a bit stuffy in room, but that may be on a room by room basis. Definitely would recommend this establishment for lodging

The location is a highlight, situated conveniently close to City Hall and other attractions. That's why I give it an extra star. The room amenities fell short of expectations. All their 1-bed rooms lack hot tubs. The room's temperature control was also a problem, which you can also tell it from other comments. This is definitely not a problem you would expect in a hotel at this level. The furniture and facilities showed significant wear, and cleanliness was an issue; finding hairs in the provided bathrobe deterred me from using it. Another concern was the security aspect, as the door guard in my room was loosely attached, missing a screw. But the aspect that most affected my experience was the service. While most staff members were friendly and welcoming, a few exhibited a concerning lack of courtesy. Their indifference to basic interactions, such as greetings and acknowledgments, was disheartening. In a hospitality setting, consistent, respectful customer interaction is essential. Won't choose it for future stays.
