I hope I could have option to choose zero star! If you get a party neighbor, you will go crazy. There is definitely no sound proof in this building. And when the washing machine begins to spin, you may feel you are living in a factory with all the machines on. If possible, choose 3939, NOT the 3945....

My roommate, Gabe Utsecks and I lived in the Hub room 317 last year. Honestly, not a bad experience. My favorite part was whenever I wanted breath of fresh air, I'd go outside and my favorite K-Pop songs would be playing as the homies chain smoked some darts. Vibes for sure. I was browsing UPenn GreekRank and chose to live here after seeing it's tier 1 status (above Domus) and found that my favorite restaurant, Chick and Chix is right across the street. They saying a house should be your home rings true at the hub. I never felt lonely since my buddy Miltard the mouse and his family was always accompanying me. The washing machine was so effective and passionate that sometimes it would dance out of its closet and then pee all over our unit. The maintenance staff was a homie. He smelled like straight GAS / ZAZA with some tobacco mixed it. Our WiFi was also so good that they actually made it slower on purpose. The elevators were nearly always working except when I actually needed them to work. As a risk-taker myself, I loved going down after waiting 10 minutes for an elevator to see whether I would actually get my package this time. Plus we were at such a safe intersection. I only heard gunshots around once every other month and only heard of one other tenant getting there placed robbed by a guy in a wheelchair. As I rocked myself to sleep, the sounds of crackheads and the smell of the septa station were especially soothing. 10/10 would recommend. RIP Trina, you wil be missed.

Without a doubt, the Hub on Chestnut is the worst housing you can get at Penn. Not only is the maintenance slow and unreliable, the mouse problem makes the Hub unlivable. Your packages can be easily taken. Would be nice if you were paying a low price, but its 1200+ easily with you having to pay for your own electricity and wifi usage not even included. I am attaching the photos from all of the damages the mice have don, which is $1000+! The hub has refused to do anything except provide a cleaning service once - and I had to go and beg for that. I have no food in my apartment and there are frequently nights where I hear the mice scratching and chewing on walls. If you are a student or anyone looking for housing, do not do sign here. Sign the Radian or anywhere else. The money will end up being the same anyways. EDIT: please ignore what the reply says. This has been a problem since last August. They switched management and so they don’t know about it. Just saw another mouse miraculously without even having any food in the apartment. If you don’t like pests, don’t even try to live here. EDIT: May 2023, spotted another mouse again! We had stopped cooking out of fear of rodents, and they still appear. We had an exterminator over at least 4 times, and it’s still the worst possible rodent problem you can ever have. Penn students, look anywhere else for housing. Radian is way more worth it.

Don't rent with the Hub on Chestnut!!! Let me tell you the true story from my daughter's rental experiment as well as the communication I had with them: 1. The outside of the building looks ok but inside is terrible: a. Appliances are either very old or not working even request for repair. My daughter and her roommate are never able to use the dishwasher since they moved. b. There are persistent mice issue in the entire building whatever how clean your apt is. The management team knows that but they never tried to get rid of it. Mice run over to your kitchen, bathroom even your bedroom. It made my daughter so upset and stressful during her stay in HUB. c. Old air condition unit makes big noise so that you can't sleep well. 2. You are never able to get your deposit back 100% - Whatever your effort made in cleaning the apartment before you leave, they will charge you deep cleaning fee for at least $220. So you can save your time and energy on that. The worse thing is that they charge you for the repair cost for normal wear and tear, even damages made from prior tenants. My daughter took pictures for all the damages when she moved as proof. But the management never admit them so my daughter was charged by $326 for the repair they claimed. The HUB is the worst ridiculous company I have ever seen. They never take care of their tenants except ripping them off. I wish HUB is just an incident from its upper management company Reinhold Residential. Please avoid this apartment during your searching process. It will save your money and time.
