The
Westbury
was
my
first
apartment
out
of
college
and
it
had
checked
all
of
my
boxes
for
a
dream
home—a
historic
building
in
the
heart
of
the
city
with
hardwood
floors,
tall
ceilings
and
a
big,
beautiful
bay
window
to
set
my
desk
in.
However,
the
real
gem
of
this
place
ended
up
being
the
University
City
Housing
team.
The
staff
had
always
been
so
friendly,
helpful
and
community-oriented.
And
after
2
years
of
reasonable-to-no
rent
raises
during
the
most
intense
era
of
COVID,
I
vowed
that
as
long
as
I
worked
in
Philadelphia
I
was
never
going
to
leave
the
Westbury,
or
at
the
very
least
the
UCH
system.
Recently
my
partner
and
I
have
made
the
step
to
move
in
together,
causing
us
to
require
more
space
as
we
both
work
primarily
from
home.
As
a
result,
we
opted
to
move
into
a
brownstone
owned
by
UCH.
To
say
that
Cal
and
Forrest,
the
leasing
officers,
have
been
accommodating
towards
both
of
our
move-in
schedules
and
overall
wants
and
needs
would
be
a
massive
understatement.
They
have
been
downright
saints.
I
don’t
believe
I
would’ve
been
able
to
navigate
this
move
with
anyone
else.
If
you
are
considering
the
Westbury
as
your
new
home,
there’s
not
much
I
can
say
about
the
building
that
you
won’t
see
for
yourself
once
you
get
there—it’s
absolutely
gorgeous
and
I
think
that
alone
speaks
for
itself.
But
at
a
time
where
property
managers
around
the
country
are
refusing
to
take
care
of
their
rentals,
refusing
to
get
to
know
their
tenants,
and
yet
demanding
50%
renewal
increases
from
them
come
the
end
of
their
leases,
I
cannot
shut
up
about
how
important
it
is
to
have
a
team
like
UCH
who
will
actually
treat
you
like
a
part
of
a
community.
