This may be my go to spot for breakfast. I was told the coffee was really good. I decided on the ginger bread chai latte w/oat milk and that was really tasty. We walked right in and waited a few minutes as another customer placed their order. This gave me time to look around, and try and decide on what I wanted to eat. The menu looked appetizing and it was hard for me to make a selection. I also noticed the pastries that were inside and they too looked good. When I placed my order I then noticed the CASH ONLY sign on the register but luckily there’s an ATM right inside that’s gonna charge you $2.99. I ordered the 2 eggs & cheese w/bacon on brioche bread and the latte. I was offered a complimentary OJ, mimosa, screwdriver or Bloody Mary. Since it was during my work time, I just got the OJ and it tasted fresh, no pulp and it was sweet. After placing my order, I waited outside for the staff member to bring me my meal which didn’t take long at all. Street parking which wasn’t an issue since it was during the week around 9am. It appeared that there were 3 staff members working at that time, 2 in the front and 1 cooking. They seemed to have had a system going and didn’t miss a beat at all. They were friendly and polite towards us. They presently don’t offer indoor dining but that’s not a problem. The price and food is good and I didn’t mind sitting in the car and finishing off my meal.

I was greeted with a complimentary screwdriver what else can I say. Our sandwiches were amazing. Next time I’m in Philly will be my first stop again

Amazing little coffee shop in the heart of Fishtown. Wonderful and compassionate coffee experts who have amazing pastries that are to die for. My new favorite spot to get coffee in Fishtown.

Cushy, comfortable, luxurious. A unique place that perhaps tries too hard, and yet succeeds. The hashbrowns with peppers and onions are incredible. The waffles with caramelized bananas was excellent as well. Finally, the eggs and pork roll were spot on. Coffee, orange juice, and assorted mini muffins are on the house. The service is quite excellent. Go and visit if your in the area.

Don't be fooled by the quaint and cozy coffee shop. Prepare to take all your goodies to go but the food and drinks are fantastic and worth the trip. Keep it simple and get the waffle sandwich or mix it up and get the pastrami hash. Either way you will be satisfied 😋

This place was top notch! The food was phenomenal with large enough and filling portions, absolutely well worth the prices. The coffee drink specials had great options but the banana split latte was out of this world. We will be back on any future visits to this area!

Great local coffee shop, their iced red eye is delicious 👌 friendly staff and every time I visit this place is always bumping-- a good sign that it's a local favorite to be so busy! I have yet to call ahead and enjoy a breakfast sandwich and usually I'm on my way to work so I can't wait-- but it's on my to do list. FYI Cash only

My new favorite coffee shop ❤️ had the best breakfast. Nicest staff, amazing food, and great overall vibe. I can’t wait until they are open for indoor dining.

One of Fishtowns finest! Excellent place for breakfast and brunch. Home of the hangover hoagie! While won't cure a hangover it's full of savory goodness that will get you back on track! Friendly staff that make great suggestions. Haven't been disappointed yet! Their fresh ground coffee is some of the best in Philly. Try the Red Eye with an extra shot!

The food is always amazing. Seriously don't go without trying their hash. And who doesn't like a free mimosa or bloody Mary (or just the juice) with their breakfast? And the staff is top notch. Quick and efficient but always taking the time to chat, give suggestions, and check if you need anything. Best breakfast/lunch spot in Philly.

This place is a diamond of a find. They're small but pump out some of the best breakfast/brunch/hangover food in the world. I had a hangover hoagie special - basically a Reuben with heavy pastrami. It was incredible and just what I needed. I took home a cheese steak for lunch - oh man, best Philly cheese steak I've ever had, hands down. Perfect ratios of onion and pepper to meat, cheese, and bread. The best part - they give you a **free** mimosa or bloody Mary while you wait. The coffee I got was fantastic, too. All around a 10/10.

I recently moved to the area and decided to swing by before work to give this place a shot... Here's what happened: I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a coffee. I went to reach for my wallet, but they told me they were cash only. I did not have my debit card on me so I wasn't able to withdraw cash from the ATM to pay. I thought I was going to have to cancel my order and forego breakfast, but the guy working the front-counter kindly said "don't worry, just come back another time to pay for it." I had zero prior exposure to this place, so they were willing to be kind and put trust in a complete stranger! That type of kindness is rare and extremely nice to experience. I will be coming back here in the future and look forward to more of their VERY tasty breakfast sandwiches (the coffee was also excellent)!

I MUST shoutout Coffee House Too. Moved to fishtown last year and this is one of our most frequented neighborhood spots. It's pretty small so we usually just pick up, but they do have some tables outside if you want to sit there. The food and coffee are delicious and it's just a really nice welcoming vibe. I think this place has been around for a long time, and it feels very homey. Service does take a while because they are understaffed but the staff they do have HUSTLE and they are so nice! It feels like they put care and thought into each order even when they are swamped. Oh also you are offered a free cup of juice or mimosa/bloody mary if you order food, so that's fun =) (It's also cash only, FYI, but it's not a big bother because they have an ATM right there)

First time here. Decided to walk the 3.5 miles to get here and was starving by the time I arrived. It was so worth it! The veggie hangover hoagie felt healthy and unhealthy at the same time lol, so delicious. The pumpkin latte was amazing. Definitely will be back

Excellent restaurant with amazing coffee! First thing when they bring the menu I was offered complimentary orange juice, mimosa or a bloody Mary. I had the mimosa! I had the cheese steak omlette which I highly recommend. The service was top notch.

Quiet yet cool little breakfast cash-only restaurant, located in a nice neighborhood. Egg & cheese on a croissant, turkey bacon, and orange juice set the Saturday up for a good start. Dog friendly with water bowls and treats too!

I can't say enough good things about this place. I love their coffee and I love their staff. They are so friendly and I feel like it can be hard to find that good of customer service around here. They allow dogs inside when ordering and give them bacon! It's definitely my go to any day of the week!

I LOVED this place. It's so small, cozy, and convenient. I love their support for lgbtq+. I also realize that they are a little low staffed but they still get you your food very quickly. They have great dedication and I don't know why this place isn't more known. I found Coffee Housr Too by walking by it and I am so glad I finally went inside to see how awesome it is.

Would absolutely give this place 5 stars but cannot fathom why they don’t do online ordering for pick up?! Seems like a HUGE wasted opportunity. I’ve definitely gone elsewhere when all I really wanted was coffeehouse too because they GOUGE you with delivery fees. Regardless, delicious food.

Food was great, I ordered the French fries bc there is not a vegàn menu but my gf mention they had veggie options and the coffee. Ordering was pretty smooth, management has taken time to highlight safty and social distancing. The guy with rainbow mask was extremely welcoming when he brought my gf her food. However , my gf and I agreed that the young lady with nice bold hair could have been more welcoming and loosen up a bit. I would have given a 5 but I'm big on customer service.

A little small but literally the best breakfast I have ever had! The coffee is strong..AND every meal comes w a free cocktail (bloody Mary or a mimosa). Stumbled upon this place by accident and will be going back!! Customer service was above average. Good vibes. PS: cash only

Been going here for years, used to be great but for the past year now they’ve messed up my order (we’re talking basic egg sandwiches) nearly every time. I’m done.

I love this place. The food is amazing and the portions are very generous not to mention affordable. The space is small but comfortable and staff is great! It basically feels like your in your own house with your very own personal chief. ?????

My first time getting food here and I absolutely loved it!!! I got the hang over breakfast sandwich which was so delicious and the Sweet Waffle Sandwich that was my favorite. The waffles were so light and fluffy. The sandwich was excellent!!! The counter guy was so nice and helpful. Also the cook was nice too. I will definitely go back again to try more on their great menu. Two thumbs up 👍 ♥️🙂

Fantastic little local spot with cute upstairs dining area. Prices are great, and the Hangover Hoagies are perfect for what they advertise. Also great coffee.

The food was great but I will quell expectations on if you get as Takeout. My first time was ordering through Caviar and the food was a bit soggy (not their fault). These are also O’Brien style potatos which may not be exactly clear based on the name of the item in Caviar (“Full homemade hash”). Will have to try in person next time!

Free coffee, OJ, or mimosa as soon as you sit down!? Who does that? Coffee House Too does it. Plus the "Handover Hoagie" was the bomb. Plus our server, she was amazing as well as Josh downstairs. First time will not be my last time.

  • 4/5 Leanne M. 6 years ago on Google
Cute coffee house with loving service. A bit small here and you may have to ask your server mutliple times for something if you choose to dine in because it can be rather busy. Keep in mind seating is for dining/table service and there is no wifi! And the seating area can get cramped. The coffee is warm, smooth, and delicious! They have such unique flavour combinations and their food is on point:)

Looking to get a breakfast burrito and heard great things about the place. I arrived to super loud music coupled with a soft spoken cashier. Literally could not hear one word. Keep in mind, I'm 29 years old so I'm not foreign to a loud atmosphere. I asked for the breakfast burrito and was asked if I wanted to add veggies to the burrito. I said sure but little did I know a simple gesture of adding veggies cost an extra arm and leg. It didn't help that I couldn't hear a word so there may have been something lost in translation. I'm fine with counting this one as a loss and just wanted to eat. Unfortunately this 17 dollar burrito was finished in about 8 bites. In short the burrito was super greasy and small. Wouldn't recommend this place.

amazing food and coffee!!! they don’t charge you for almond/oat/etc milk and everything comes out so quick… it’s all to go but they have outside seating which is really nice. 11/10 highly recommend!!

Looking to treat ourselves to a special breakfast during our CV social distancing, we ordered take-out food and lattes from Coffee House Too. A very nice person took our order and we were able to pick it up 10 minutes later. I had the spinach, red bell pepper and goat cheese omelette, which was delicious! The ingredients were super fresh and I asked to add some onions, which they were happy to do. I will definitely order from them again. Maybe I’ll try one of the other terrific-sounding items too some time. Thanks Coffee House!

Cute on the inside - complimentary drink is a nice touch. Employees were nice but the service was pretty lofty and inattentive. Food was mediocre - the toast was sopping in butter, the home fries were very soggy, and I found a piece of chicken in my spinach omelette (I’m vegetarian.. not ideal.) Might return for a coffee from downstairs but wouldn’t eat here again.

I was very impressed with this place! They give you a complimentary muffin and mimosa with your breakfast. Their menu has the classics and a few less traditional choices. We got a steak and shrimp burrito and a crab omelette from their daily specials. Everything was very good and reasonably priced. There wasn't even an upcharge to get an alternative milk in my latte!
