I went a week ago. My husband cut his fingers while working at a nearby construction site. He doesn't speak English, and called me to go take him to the ER. This was the closest one we found. We tried getting him attention and the ladies at the entrance seemed annoyed at us for having to asking for help. I was trying to translate to him what the security was telling us. She(security) got annoyed, rolled her eyes at us, and gave us attitude. I was explaining to her that I was not trying to interrupt her, I was just translating. It's awful how they treat people. We didn't stay, and left to go look for another ER. My husband felt bad, because she was mad that he didn't understand. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone!

This is by far the worst experience my family has ever had. While the first front desk lady and nurse were caring, there was this nurse who treated us like complete garbage. Had an attitude, was aggressive each time she walked in for labs or anything in general not only on her tone but physically. She was heard cursing at another patient simply because they were in pain. Unfortunately, this is the city of Philadelphia now. If you work in the medical field, it is YOUR job to treat everyone with respect, care and genuine concern no matter why they’re there, where they’re from or who they are. If you can’t do that then why are you working there? No one forced you to do so. At first I was upset but now seeing it all , I’m just sad this is were our system stands.

It's very ghetto, dirty, no toilet paper, and they make you wait for unnecessary hours. By the time they saw me the treatment team that I needed had went home.

Worst and the MOST MONEY HUNGRY HOSPITAL EVER!!! I was brought to this hospital via ambulance. I was checked in and brought to the waiting room. 1st I was patted down metal wandded. And had my lighter taken away. They put it in the garbage. Waited over an hour in so much pain I couldn't speak or breathe. The doctors were rude and pushy they tried to throw every possible test my way!! Mri catscan blood test urine. Only thing I allowed was urine. I came in with back pain. I told them I had been throwing up and had diarrhea. They never checked my lungs with the Stethoscope but wanted me to have a MRI smh. Money hungry!!!! They literally called security on me I was 100% calm I was asking why hasn't anyone used a Stethoscope to check my lungs. Dr was telling me he wants to check for a collapse lung. Like are you kidding me?! They did check my temperature. I have a fever. Never covid tested me either. I will never go back there again after I go back to file a formal complaint. Lol

I arrived in the EMergency room at 5a with 10+ pain radiating from my chest around to my back and up my shoulder. The triage department were rude and argumentative I could hardly speak from the pain and they were resentful that my daughter who is a Physician Assistant was answering the questions on my behalf. I get into the triage area I’m never hooked up to a EKG, I don’t recall being asked my pain level then I’m wheeled out and into the waiting room that smelled like urine. While sitting in pain a patient walks up to the nurse and asks when am I gonna get called back I have been here sense 9PM, what folks it’s going on 6AM!!! I willed myself up I started heading for the door ripping the Temple emergency room armband off found my daughter whom they wouldn’t let come back. Told her my reason and we quickly went to Roxbourough hospital ED. Where I was triaged immediately. By then I had 103.4 temp, heart rate 130., liver numbers thru the roof. I had Surgery that day in that hospital, they cared and they cared about my daughter as well. So in closing I will say as a Nurse myself I recognize when services get backed up that it’s not always the front facing representatives faught, but compassion and humanity should always be top of mind. I would never return to that facility for any healthcare needs

Never coming here again. I have a fever of 104, distended swollen abdomen, and abnormal ekg results. I wait for five hours. Not seen at all. No beds, no doctors, nothing. The nurse told me "other people have more severe illnesses". Thats good for them and its not an excuse of how you cant provide the most minute amount of care. I hope I don't have a heart attack or my liver fails. But if I do, my family knows that Temple ER ignored me.

I hate Reviewing medical facilities but after multiple visits hoping each time will get better, it gets worse. I get There are other patients. I’m usually pretty patient and I dont Like to complain. I’ve been to the CRC, I know How bad a facility could be. However, I felt Dismissed by the whole nursing team. After waiting and being upset I saw My nurse chilling across the hall and I asked If I can Leave and get my discharge paperwork. But she said if I leave I dont Get my referral and paperwork and said “a man almost died in the room next door” and I get That. That happened last time I was There. Maybe it’s the neurological damage but I’m tired of being dismissed by hospital staff because they can’t see a physical issue and that’s what you’ll get here. You don’t have a gun wound, they do not know how to treat you.

I had a really good experience at this ER. I came in unable to walk because of neuro issues. I was seen immediately, everything happened so fast. The diagnostic tests were thorough and I got the results quickly. Their systems and technology is modern. Everyone I encountered was kind, helpful, and respectful. My whole stay was about 6 hours, which I consider quick for an ER visit. The pace slowed down once it was clear I was going to be ok, but that’s to be expected in a busy hospital where there are so many people in worse shape than me. I’m grateful to all the nurses, techs, doctors, triage, and the transport folks for the level of care they gave me. Also, this place is fantastic with gender-affirming care! I’d been to another doctor at Temple, and the neurologists who saw me in the ER used my preferred name and pronouns. It’s such a hectic environment that I did not expect it at all. It meant a lot.

4/16/2023: I waited 5 hours to be seen! The waiting room had dope fiends, and a fight between 2 guys almost broke out about who was waiting the longest. But the medical staff was okay (it was day time by then. They had just changed shifts, bright eyed & bushy tailed).Worth it to make sure you are not dying, I guess.😩 Go somewhere else, if you can. ZERO STARS FOR REAL

I was admitted yesterday could not breathe chest was tight. When I arrived the security was rude to me and then after I got checked in I wasn’t seen for two and a half hours but only like 3 people were in there. After I went to the back my doctor cut me off when I tried to explain my symptoms because they called her for trauma (I was in mid sentence). Then my nurse couldn’t take my blood correctly and the second time she tried it was such an excruciating pain. I cried so much yesterday. I was alone and they wouldn’t let my partner come to be with me. Then when I left and tried to fill my script today the pharmacy was confused at the script. They didn’t even call it in for me I had to bring the paper which was hard on me physically. Another thing… the facility looks like prison and has a bunch of homeless coming through. They need updates for sure. I just didn’t like the experience at all and won’t be back.

I have a client in the ER since 12:30 this afternoon it’s 6:37pm and none of the staff has address if they going to admit her or not and she’s a IDD individual age 86 this is unacceptable the service they provide here.

I do not understand how you have an "Emergency Room" but have people waiting for about 3 hours. The service was horrible. The employees were unprofessional. My mother was having severe pain and could barely walk and I could not assist her. But then she is waiting for about 3 hours while she got worse. DO NOT come here if you have an emergency.

Literally if you have any emergency, never go here. They are so money hungry it’s ridiculous. I am a former Temple student and I had about 10 nosebleeds in a week and I was advised by an urgent care to go to the ER. I pay a copayment of about 80 dollars, and according to the billing representative she stated that my insurance should cover the rest since I had already paid a copayment. However, the physicians on the floor that day did not give me any treatment and just said I had a nose bleed(no way really!? like that’s why im here because it kept happening at random times of the day, multiple times and was a lot of blood) and just sent me on my way. Then they sent two payments of about 80 dollars then another of about 260 dollars to a debt collector saying I have to pay that amount for what? This is a clear violation of HIPAA. Never go here.

I’m never coming here again !! Not even for my prenatal care. I’m 14 weeks pregnant and I’ve been coming to temple for prenatal care. I came in on 4/30/23 to the emergency room for vaginal bleeding and cramping. You would think there would be some type of urgency to do an ultrasound and vaginal exam to see if my baby was ok and if I was ok. Dr. Brian diagnosed me with a threatened miscarriage and said there was no way to tell what was happening with me or my baby when he didn’t even examine me or anything but just asked a few questions .. I left there feeling anxious and scared wondering if my baby was ok or not I ended up going to UPenn emergency room where I actually felt cared for.

Wait time was horrendous. Waiting for over 6 hours. No prioritization or organization. Staff was kind but clearly overworked and unable to properly care for patients.

Worst hospital ever. Dropped my mom off in the emergency because nobody is allowed to enter with her. They didn't have an interpreter. She's been waitting to see the nurse. Been to other hospitals that allow atleast 1 person to accompany the patient. Worst hospital in the city

Waited over 3 hours and wasn’t seen, fight broke out in waiting room. Nurses walked past waiting area and refused to give updates on when I would be seen. The entire left side of my body went numb from a severe migraine and no one helped me. Awful care, DO NOT go here if you have an emergency

I was worried to come here because of the bad reviews. But it was the closest to my house. For my surprise I had a excellent experience here since I got to the ER and got dismissed next day. They gave me all the answer I needed and they were looking out for me all the time . They were super nice all the time .

This has probably been the worst experience. I had to call the hospital er to have a nurse come to my room in the er. And everyone is outside of my door and no one has shown up to help me. No call light given when I got in my room l. They don’t have blankets just sheets and I’ve been freezing. Im still waiting for a nurse to come to my room unlikely it will happen. Very disappointing to say the least

The wait is terrible !! They won't see you unless you literally pass out or die in the waiting room. It's dirty and they have no kind of sympathy for the clients !! Customer service is rude and don't take you serious even if you were dying they wouldn't care. I will never go again! Don't even waste your time here like me. Just go to a better hospital like chestnut hill

The staff was professional, efficient, and compassionate. The security personnel were, in general, rude, overly aggressive, and Napoleonic. A little bit of training in politeness, common courtesy, compassion, and de-escalation would be very beneficial for this group.

We only came here b/c my husband is a patient at Temple Cancer Center. For some reason we thought he would get better care here as opposed to a local ER. They couldn't even find his chart! This despite all his Dr.s being Temple docs. Very rude to family as well, just whisked my husband away without telling me why or what .they were going to

You get here you have to go thru weapon detector atlease security is very kind. but than you go no further than the door where you stand in line to speak with someone that everyone else can hear all your business, and he has a mask on as if something in the air. after waiting here after 15 minutes I left the hospital. someone need to review how this hospital treats the residents/patient of Philadelphia seems the only ones to treat well is police officers and young children.

Today I felt a sharp chest pain and I wanted to make sure that I don’t have a heart attack. I usually go to another hospital for emergencies, but today and sue to the severity of pain, knowing that I had some heart issues, I decided to go to Temple ER because it is close to my home. After checking my vitals I was instructed to sit in the waiting area until I would be called to see a doctor. The waiting room was almost full when I arrived, it is extremely slow process to be called in to see a doctor, some people got irritated, some even left without being seen. As for me it is almost 4 1/2 hours since I came to the ER and I am still sitting in the waiting room waiting to be seen as if no one cares how much pain I have, maybe they are waiting until I pass out or stop breathing to have me seen by a doctor!!!

So to start off i was in a very bad car accident, i was forced to wait for 7 hours without being seen with possible head trama and excruciating pain. No pain medicine offered nothing and sad to say it’s like this even without the pandemic. Ive been coming here since i was born , im now 23 and i never remember being able to get in and out except when you’re a small child (0-3). I should have went to abington and from this experience i will be from now on

This is the worst ER I have ever been in! It’s dirty and falling apart. The nurses curse and are unprofessional. I’ve been sitting in a er room from 10 pm to 1 am and still can’t find out if I am staying or going home (need to call for a ride if I am going home, since no one can stay with the Covid19 protocols).

really need to try their best to do better caring for ppl, its ppl here thats been waiting for 10hrs in the waiting room. some ppl come in at 1pm and dont get seen by a doctor till 10pm. its ppl in pain and sick waiting.. i understand doctors do the best they can and are treating other patients but the hospital as a whole needs to come with a better plan to help out with the emergency/waiting room area.

Complete misdiagnosis by a supervising (Maura E Sammon)that only saw me for two minutes. I came in for (right temple artery inflammation) something completely different than what my other er visits were and was berated for even coming to seek care. Was told I need to get my anxiety under control because I only have 13 visits out of the 26 years I've been living. People diagnosing themselves is how people die. Lack of compassion is how things are made worse. I came for answers from someone who supposedly went to school. Guess you didn't learn much.
