Best diner in the city !!!! The food was delicious. The service was the best. The establishment was clean. Fresh and hot off the skillet when it was brought to the table. The French toast 😋😋 were the best I had in a long time. The meat selection is okay I can go for a beef hot sausage every now and again but their Turkey and Pork products are okay. Overall and as always they are the best.

The cheese steaks are large, greasy, and salty. The giant pile of home fries is top-notch. Best fries I've had this quarter. Seafood tasted fresh. Cole slaw is perfect, not too sweet. Coffee is fragrant and comes with plenty of half and half. The bathroom was crowded but not too smelly. Overall, patrons and staff had a very positive attitude here.

Easily accessible from the Pennsylvania side of the Walt Whitman bridge is the Oregon diner. One of the finest examples of top of the line good diner food that this region has to offer. With a complete bakery and a wide assortment of incredible dishes this is a place that you arrive hungry and leave happy. Their French onion soup is a wonderful addition to any meal and the Pastrami Rachel sandwich I had was absolutely perfect. Easily accessible by SEPTA's bus routes G, 7, 57, 47 and 47Mcome on in for a hot cup of coffee, delicious pastries and so much more. Enjoy!

Visited the Oregon Diner in South Philadelphia. It's a quintessential Philly diner experience. Witnessed a humorous interaction outside - a local jovially teased a guest for wearing Dallas Cowboys attire, playfully reminding her of being in Eagles territory. A true taste of local culture and camaraderie.

Decided to stay local for Thanksgiving so me and my brother went to the Oregon diner. The atmosphere is fine it's a diner. The service was very good and waitress was friendly. They really need to work on the food. Turkey was dry, stuffing tasted like it doubled as crab meat and flounder stuffing. Corn and potatoes were decent and they were probably boxed and canned. The best part was the service and the dessert. Cheesecake was very good. For as much as you pay in this day and age it should be better.

The food is really good and fresh. Portions are awesome 👌, the service... well, that's where they fall a little short and I don't think it's the severs fault... They do try hard to make sure you have what you need, but, I feel that they might be spread too short cause they're always in a hurry and sometimes overlook certain things. But, it's still a good place to eat

Simple, yet scrumptious, fresh, and filling! I am thankful they can make the order the way you want for a reasonable price. Oregon diner is consistently good, and I’m thankful to be their repeat customer.

I've eaten here on several occasions but last night was the worst. I paid $76.31 for cold food 2 tables that came in after us received their food before we received ours. Our waitress, Chrissy, disappeared several times, and I came back sweating and without my wine and later, without my hot tea. When I complained she offered a free dessert , my husband declined. The cashier didn't do anything about it and charged me the full $76.31. This is the doggy bag we brought home because the food was too cold to eat when served. I guess we'll stick with breakfast.

I was pretty disappointed with this diner and will not be coming back. A lot of the breakfast food and fries were cooked in very old oil that made the food have a bad taste. I had the broccoli and cheddar omelette and the eggs had a very bad oil taste. It was also just slopped onto the plate. Everyone else was pretty dissatisfied with their meals as well.

I enjoyed my breakfast but nothing special. Will have to give it another try for lunch or dinner and update.

It's ok. I came here two times in the same week. Got pancakes the first time with fruit topping. It was good. Came back a few days later and got the cream chipped beef and it wasnt hot and neither were my home fries. Taste like they had been sitting for a while. The only thing that was hot was my tea. The waitresses here are really good and on point so I didn't complain. Im sure it was just a one time incident.

I was with fam and we got hungry, so we came here the first time just coz it was the nearest spot to where we were. We returned here the 2nd time not long ago when we were in the area. I really like how the servers there were so helpful and committed their services. My daughter and I love the onion rings and the fried flounder platter. Wings were also really good and the cheese cakes were SUPERBBBBBBBB.

I've been going there for many years. Maria is the best server I have ever had anywhere. Very personable, and great at her job. The food is very good and priced fairly. Highly recommend!!

This place is a real gem. Service is outstanding. The food must be more consistent post COVID-19. I had Turkey bacon that had absolutely not taste. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I had Jennifer serviced me this morning and I fell in love with her personality and mannerism. This was actually my first time having breakfast and I would definitely recommend it to one and all. Thanks for your service, which was second to none.

Starting with the food; everything was good. We ordered breakfast and kids breakfast. The kids meals came with drinks and ice cream 😊 so they loved that! Atmosphere was just like a diner; feeling homey and family-friendly! Our waitress was ecstatic! She was very friendly and made the visit worthwhile! Good spot for the value!

The food is overpriced for what you get. It can be hit or miss. Sometimes its really good and sometimes it's not. The older blonde lady who works the front is also rude and short when answering the phone and ignorant to you when you go to check out, barely speaks to you. I've been coming here for years but no more.

Had a pizza steak with fried onions. It had plenty of fried onions which I love. The meat was good (not awesome) and the sauce was basically ok. The roll held up nicely and was quite tasty. Service is laid back which was fine with me. Overall a decent place to grab lunch.

One of my favorite places to eat in Philadelphia. Food is fantastic. Great service. I especially enjoy the Bison Burgers. Portions are large. Truly enjoy this place. Even got to meet a US Senator there once.

Its been a while since I submitted a review so here we go. Passing through south Philly I stumbled upon this great Olde school diner. it was clean and the atmosphere had a legitimate retro diner look and feel. I ordered a bison burger because I no longer see them on the menus that often. I was definitely happy with the burger it came out hot and cooked to order. the french fries were cooked perfectly to a deliciously crispy golden brown. This is definitely a much better choice than fast food. I will definitely be back for breakfast. My server Megan was an absolute sweetheart. She was helpful attentive and friendly. She gets an A+. Pros: Friendly staff, Classic diner atmosphere, clean and comfortable. Cons: Classic Diner (not really a negative bullet point)

Ordered half rotisserie chicken. Little to no flavor and tasted like it was reheated. The chicken wasn't bad just a little dry but the potatoes and soup were delicious.

Stars are for the service we received. Our group wound up having 2 servers because we came to close to a shift change. They are both, energized, friendly, helpful, and had a great sense of humor. This little extra they both put out there made a difference giving us a very enjoyable and fun meal. The food is very good. We all ordered very different varieties, each of us were haiwith taste and temperature as well as the generous portions, not wastefully too much either. Desserts, I had the eclair the appearance is beautiful, the filling was disappointing, no flavor. If you closed your eyes and took a bite, could not tell the flavor, same response in reference to the carrot cake more like a spice cake rather than a carrot cake, the other dessert at the table was chocolate pudding, that was spot on delicious. We really wanted to love all the dessertyas they were perfect in appearance. The bathroom is not wheel chair accessable, the have a handicap stall, it's just not wheel chair accessable.

I am a diner girl and Oregano diner is one of my favorites. Good variety of menu items with seasonal selections. Good food. Beautiful selection of desserts. My only complaint was that the coffee tasted like it was burnt and bitter.

My cousin and I went for brunch and it was a nice atmosphere. Our server was very professional and attentive to our needs as well as her other tables. You can tell she has been doing this job for a long time. Everything was made according to order and delicious. The only problem we had is my cousin found a hair in her vegetable omelet. The server was notified and she had a brand new order made.

The portions of food on your plate is sufficient but my chicken and shrimp scampi tasted very bland with extra scampi sauce and what served to be boiled chicken pieces, I do not recommend this dish. However their breakfast is good, their clubs and fries are good, the steak is good as well and the prices are reasonable. Oh and the waitresses are very attentive.

I was with a group, and fortunately for me, I didn't have to wait half an hour to be seated because I was driving from the North East of Philadelphia. Knowing the diner was already a hotspot and it being remodeled a couple of years back makes the effort to go that much more enjoyable. My family told me the wait wasn't as bad as they were expecting. So I'm happy that their experience wasn't frustrating. I arrived just minutes before our food was being served. I had messaged my sister the food I wanted far in advance, and my family and I received everything we wanted when we were served. A mix of heavy and mid-weight breakfast dishes and we all got to sample each other's plate, it was a LOT! The food presentation and waitress/waiter serving were well prepared! Everything was brought to our table area all at once! The food was just as DELICIOUS as past visits to this Diner!! If you want quality food and excellent service, this is the Diner you need to go to! BE WARNED, they're usually Very busy on the weekends so it would be best to book tables and seats a week in advance (depending on group size)!! And it's definitely worth the time, travel, and effort to come here!! PLEASE remember to TIP your Waitresses and Waiters, the wages they earn don't cover Etiquette and Patience. They deserve the Respect you would give your own family for the Service they provide to deliver your drinks and food!!! I hope this review is helpful and that your own experience here is a delight!!

I had breakfast here at 8:00 a.m. on a Monday in December 2022. I was happy with the meal. The diner was uncrowded and I sat at the counter. Good food, and very good service. It was pleasant and relaxing. When I entered I was in a bad mood because I had tried to get breakfast at 2 nearby McDonald's restaurants, but their dining rooms were closed due to lack of staff or maybe they just don't care. Oregon Diner made me feel better and I got back on the right track for the day.

The food was fine, but no employees are wearing masks. My friend asked our server to wear her mask when she was at our table (they work in healthcare and need to be extra safe) and she was really rude to us after that. Our food came out lukewarm, she straight up ignored my friend, and only said a few things to me for the rest of the meal. It was bizarre. With current Philly standards, management is allowing a major health code violation. Mediocre diner food isn't worth it unless you want it with a side of covid

Got a chicken salad and all of the chicken was raw. Like, all of it. Waitress made me feel like it was my fault or something and when I asked for a new plate, the old chicken was just replaced with new chicken. Still on the same lettuce and veggies and everything.
