This place is a new favorite of mine for brunch. Every single person loved their food. The service is impeccable, we were so well taken care of. Shout out to Maggie- she’s the best and we will be back and hopefully have her as our server again!

The food tasted great at first, but then each person at our table became seriously ill afterward. We all had different dishes, and the only thing we had in common was the side potatoes. We will never eat here again because of us all getting sick right after eating here.

We enjoyed a delicious and filling breakfast at Winkel. The deep-fried cranberry almond bread pudding french toast, hot chocolate, and chicken and waffles. We will definitely be back!!

Absolutely loved the food here! The bread of the day had an amazing texture, although I couldn’t really taste the cardamom. The chicken and waffles had so many complex flavors that complimented each other perfectly between the scrapple gravy and the spicy sauce. They also brought a bowl of water for our dog!

I cannot speak more highly of this place. Amazing food, their bacon is an experience. The owner acts as the host and is extremally nice.

My husband and I were in Philadelphia one morning to drop off a pair of kittens that someone had adopted from the rescue we volunteer with. We decided to go get some food before heading back to NY and decided to eat at Winkel. The parking was a little difficult given it a weekend and there was a 30 minute wait to get a table which we didn't mind. I loved the vibe of this place and especially the waiting area, it was spacious and had a coffee bar incase people would like drink coffee whilst waiting. They also have cute benches with botanical books. The young hostesses were friendly, quick and polite. We requested a different table than the one assigned to us and they didn't mind us switching at all especially on a busy Saturday morning brunch hour. I think this place has so much natural light with the high ceilings that one can easily feel relaxed. It has that calming effect. The food was delicious although my husband did mention that the crab cakes after a couple of bites start to feel a bit much. The service was great. I wouldn't recommend the bread of the day. We didn't eat much of it. The service was quick and efficient and we'd love to come back when we're in the area again.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sweet holy Benedict’s! The eggs Benedict with crab cakes is amazing and the bread pudding French toast is mouthing watering. Tied with my other review from Green Eggs, these two spots know how to do breakfast right and they both bring something different to the table.

Went here for an early Saturday breakfast and we really loved it. The homemade hot sauce was amazing. Had the egg sandwich which was great, came with a tasty salad and good potatoes.

The food was delicious especially the Hot Chicken Uitsmijter. If you like spicy food, you need to try this one. My mom also love the Deep Fried Bread Pudding French Toast too.

Nice spot. Great natural light. Friendly staff. Indoor seating and a few outdoor tables; nice vibe. Interesting menu with some fun variations on plates you're probably familiar with. This city has a lot of breakfast and lunch spots, so I probably won't return to this one, but it was with a single visit.

We’re visiting from Boston, and we’re looking for a nice brunch spot, this definitely hit the spot! I had a maple oat milk latte and I will be thinking about it for the rest of my life. For food, I had the brisket Benedict and it was very good, eggs were perfectly poached and the flavor combination was well balanced. My partner had the chicken and waffles with hot sauce and wow! The meat was falling apart in the best way, and the hot sauce worked really well with the dish, so I recommend that. The Dutch influence was apparent as well- lots of pickles.

Food here is delicious! My husband and I were in the area and wanted to try a new brunch place and we ended up at the right restaurant for that. They have a lot of options including vegan, vegetarian and gluten free ones. My omelette (with squash, kale and Swiss cheese) was outstanding and very filling. The potatoes it came with were very tasty. My husband ordered scrambled eggs with bacon and gluten free bread. He loved the dish! The staff is friendly, polite and welcoming. We’ll definitely come back again and bring friends. People need to know about this place!

This is a four that will probably go to a 5 next time I go. My pancakes were delicious and so was the bacon. Both of my friends said their food was great. Service was great.

All of the staff was friendly and we did not have a long wait. We ordered the traditional waffles that came with pears and the spinach and shrimp fritata with a side of bacon and fruit. Everything was SO good! The bacon was crisp yet still thick, the waffles were soft with a slight crisp on the outside. The fritata was well seasoned and the shrimp inside of it was a bonus. It tasted good without it but even better together. There is street parking outside the restaurant. Yall I am so full....

This place was amazing. Quality food, great service and a unique menu. You can try something new or stick to the basics, great location and there were some spots to sit outside too. Definitely come here when you are in Philly.

Nice place to grab breakfast and coffee to get your day going. Very clean, great staff and food was good. Simple and not complicated. Can’t ask for more than that.

It was top notch service the second we stepped into the restaurant! No wait (crazy for a Saturday morning) & we had multiple people check on our table. The staff was so nice & you could tell they loved working there. The food was delicious! We cannot wait to go back the next time we’re all together! We were in town for our friend’s bridal shower (from Pittsburgh, Nashville, & north PA) & stayed a block away at the Fairfield hotel so we found this on a google search.

The best omelette ever. Winked absolutely crushes it with their Dutch twist to traditional breakfast items. This is a must try breakfast spot in Philly!!!

Came to the city for a day to visit a friend and we chose to eat here, and it was a great decision! I got the salmon benedict and it was fantastic, and my boyfriend got the breakfast sandwich. He said it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches he’s ever had! My friend got the classic benedict and she said it was also a winner. I’ll recommend to friends!

The food here is absolutely disgusting. Completely ignored by the staff here, our waitress visited us NOT ONCE, the entire time my friend and I ate. Another waiter actually came over and asked if everything was okay. Sir; you know my plate looked like burnt scrapple and crud. I ordered the French toast here which was recommended, which left a jarring, disgusting taste in my mouth. The bacon looked raw. The food is truly repugnant. I wouldn’t give this food to a stray dog. If I could rate this place -5 stars out of five I would. Avoid at all costs.

Made it in after the brunch rush and we were seated immediately. Friendly and knowledgeable server who made sure we understood the menu! We did BYOB (no fee) and the bill was under $45 for two. Reasonable prices and good portion of food. Clean restrooms. Don't try to park in this area!! Would return

Delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere. The coffee is very good too. Get the chicken and waffles!!! Scrapple/sausage gravy, homemade hot sauce, homemade whipped cream topped with chives — such great flavor combos!

This place is a great breakfast spot! My wife and I split the Big Breakfast and it was perfectly portioned for both of us and everything was delicious. The coffee is very good too! We got iced vanilla lattes. This is an awesome breakfast spot!

Pricey but delicious. These were really some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had! Staff was very attentive and friendly. I’d love to come back to try some of the other menu items.

My wife and I went this place a while back while waiting for our kid to finish some program. I really enjoyed the look of the place and the overall vibe. Friendly and inviting. The food was tasty. The only issue I had was in the dish I ordered- I ordered a smoked salmon benny with a dill hollandaise as stated on the menu. What they sent out was simply a benny with hollandaise that they garnished with chives. Not a pinch of dill anywhere even thought it stated such on the menu. Y'all could have at least incorporated the chives into the hollandaise. I did say something to the waiter and got generic "that's what the kitchen is making response. (not rudely or anything like that). That irks me, I ordered something wanting to taste the flavors you decide to describe your dish with.

Amazing brunch experience at Winkel - kitchen sink french toast was the special and just insanely rich. Definitely a wait but that’s to be expected. Friendly fast service

Choose the delicious brisket hash, which was one of many items on the menu that were tempting. Our server was delightful and attentive and the vibe was chilled and relaxed. Anxious to go back and try some of the items on the menu.

Winkel made me tinkle but the food was good. The server paid no attention to us after taking our order. She didn't even bring the food out; she had some other poor slob do it. I still give a good rating, however, because I've completely given up.

Food was fantastic. Maggie was our server. Her recommendations were top notch. Great quality of food and so much love put into the cooking. The brisket hash was beautifully cooked. The chicken and waffles with the scrapple gravy was amazing. They use dark meat for the chicken. The best part. The staff is friendly and lovely. Will definitely be coming back.
