Nice venue! Sound and performance excellent! The restrooms are co-ed, but pretty clean and the doors go pretty much to the floor. Fairly easy to get in, not much of a wait through security (metal detector). Bars located on each level in multiple areas (the drinks were overpriced as expected). I think there could be a few more trashcans placed throughout. Parking was hard to find, but eventually we found a spot a few blocks away. Pretty easy and quick to get out of the venue too. Overall a great experience.

Really nice and classy inside. Bar was nice, food was surprisingly good. Only complaint is parking. There is very limited parking. The lot across the street is $60!

The Met has a lot of history and is beautiful on the outside and inside. Sound is great. Prices are often high. Seats and aisles are small. Bathrooms are clean. Service is professional. Parking can be difficult. They do not accept cash, no backpacks.

Great concert venue was very nice and clean. There is a disconnect between the website and the employees. The website told us that If we bought tickets to the VIP lounge for $20 per person we could use the VIP entrance and would not have to stand in line, but the employee at the door turned us away so we had to go in the main entrance, wait in line, and then make our back up stairs to the VIP lounge, then no one even checked for the $80 worth of VIP passes we purchased, they just let anyone in. So I guess we paid $80 for the knowledge that next time we go, we don't have to pay for VIP we just have to walk in the main entrance and then up the stairs to the VIP lounge for free. If it wasn't for the blatant cash grab lies on the website it would have been 5 stars.

We were amazed at the musical advantage older incredible acoustics gave to the Brit Floyd show on 3/16/22. The venue is stunning, and I would love to experience more shows there. Not a bad seat in the place. Bathroom are unisex, different to have a guy washing his hands while you are. Now, I am sure if you are contemplating attending an event here, you are aware of the recent crime uptick in the neighborhood. I felt completely safe in and around the Met, Philly police and security were very active. We paid the piper and parked across the street for 50 bucks. It was safe, guarded and convenient to the Met, but come on for 50! Enjoy your visit, I hope to return someday.

I have been to this venue several times in the last 5 years and I love it. The venue is architecturally beautiful, clean and tidy, parking is always easy, the staff are super friendly and helpful, the bathrooms are clean and non-gender specific, and they run their shows on time. And at our last visit the food and beverage costs were reasonable. (we once made the mistake an ordered a martini- which we should have known better- plastic cup martini for $19 is not my idea of a cocktail) I digress. It's a great place to see music and comedy and I can't wait to go back.

The Met in Philadelphia is a great place to see a show. There really isn't a bad seat in the entire place. We sat in the second row of the loge upstairs (note that there are quite a few steps to get up there) and had a great view of the comedians we saw that night; the picture of the stage in this review has no zoom on it at all. They have a number of bars that you can grab drinks at, just be aware that they're pricey. Parking options are relatively close by, but also fairly pricey. There are also subway stops pretty close too. It's quick to get in and out of the venue, the staff does a very nice job.

This is an incredibly beautiful venue. The seating views are excellent. There's a dedicated parking lot about 3 blocks away on Broad and Melon. There are multiple bars in the venue including one inside the main entrance and one in the balcony area. Great place for a show.

I've been here a few times and really love this venue. The staff is always great. The light rigging is spectacular. The sound is superb. Just be careful if you buy seated tickets, as I've noticed some sections appear to have an obstructed view. The posted pictures were all taken from Loge 1 row H (a pretty decent spot to be).

Parking a cross the street at an empty lot. $60.00 per vehicle Beautiful, historic venue. Wheel chair accessible, kid friendly, depending on what you're going to see. Very nice place. Ther are bars to within the auditorium and at the entrance to purchase beverages and libations. Very nice experience. The seats are very close together with barely any room to walk through the aisle if someone is sitting down.

The viewing experience was good for both shows. However, our second show tickets were on the top floor. There is only one modestly sized elevator and only one set of stairs to reach the fourth floor. On a return trip to my seat, there was a long line for the elevator. And after going up the stairs, I was told I had to go back down, since there were no stair or elevator to go up from the third floor. I looked where to find the right set of stairs, only to find it seemingly blocked by people standing around the entryway. By the time I returned to the elevator line, only 3 people were waiting. Still, it was aggravating.

The Met is beautiful. I have seen quite a few shows there in the past few years and it never disappoints. I had the opportunity to see the Mayors inauguration Philadelphia's first Black Woman mayor which is amazing! Just an overall awesome experience every time I visit the Met.

The venue was nice!!! We went to see Kountry Wayne and we’re not disappointed!!! We got early access tickets which gave us access to the the upstairs bar!!! They had food and drink up there and it was set up super nice!!! You could see the stage from every angle and I would love to see another show there!!!

Seats are a little on the smaller, closer side but otherwise a beautiful venue. If you're tall, I'd recommend an aisle seat or box seats. Came here to see Jill Scott and she was amazing. Wasn't a big fan of the gentleman directing the traffic into the doors referring to the crowd as "People of Wakanda." I know he was likely joking but it was kinda in poor taste as he was a white man directing a mostly black crowd by shouting that through a megaphone. 🤦🏾‍♀️ Not a super deep offense for me but I know there were definitely people that were uncomfortable with the comment.

The show was awesome! Sound was great! The staff was super helpful and knowledgeable. Concessions were a bit pricey, but nothing to crazy... its what you would expect at a venue. I bought a 16oz Troges Perpetual for $11. Not terrible. Had an absolutely amazing time and I will definitely come back for their other shows!! 10 out of 10

Saw the last leg of the Elvis Costello concert at The Met Philadelphia. The sound was great, and the size of the venue made the show feel very intimate. The seats were a bit tight and awkward to maneuver through but that is the only complaint. It was much cleaner than I thought it would be as well. Which was a nice surprise.

Nice historic ambiance available. I saw a Rock concert at this venue and wanted to mention a couple factors in attendance one there are no re-entries to the venue. They offer snacks and beverages and have indoor and outdoor areas to socialize before The show. Pricing was fairly standard for this type of venue. One thing to note was there was a significant quality difference in the acoustics at the venue and a lot of obstructed views in the back half of the orchestra section I would not recommend getting a seat I’ll be very careful to pick a seat in that area as they were also smaller seats.

I've seen a few shows here and they have all been fantastic. The acoustics are great, views from the seats are good since it's not a massive venue, and the food (when available) is surprisingly reasonable - drinks are not... Two issues that stand out are: 1. The size of the seats and the lack of legroom. I'm 6'1" with long legs, and it's a rough go for me, but once the music starts, I notice it less. 2. Parking - get there EARLY! Parking in this part of Philly is a premium. But, as I mentioned earlier, this is a great music venue.

Great venue. Seating was good in the first level. Tend to lose a little sound quality underneath the balcony but not a deal breaker by any means. Parking tip-find a lot prior to arrival and prepay so it's guaranteed. Not the nicest part of North Philly but there's worse for sure.

I came to see Lindsey Stirling when she performed here in the summer of '21. The building was lovely and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Not sure why the fire alarm when off in the middle of the concert, but the Met and Lindsey recovered quickly and finished a great performance.

The Met is one of my favorite venues in the city, from all areas. I've had great times dancing in the pit, watching from the first balcony with waiter service, or watching from above in the second balcony and seeing all the other fun people. great sound, drinks and tickets are affordable, and the staff makes everything work great. they get great acts! I saw Muna, Billy Porter, and Janelle Monae

Paid $218 for 2 box seats in LBOX1 (Row A, Seats 5 & 6) for a show I COULDN'T EVEN SEE. The photo shows what my view looked like. If I leaned all the way forward on the chair with my butt barely on the seat and craned my neck, I could see SOME of the stage. This venue obviously knows what the view is from this area as I see someone else posted the same complaint, yet when I purchased the tickets there was no warning that the view was non-existent. I obviously would NOT have paid money for these seats and would have chosen a different location (although I see other areas in the venue are an issue as well). At one point I leaned forward even more to try to see what was going on, not realizing that the seat flipped up as I did so, and almost landed on the floor when I went to sit back down, scraping my back on the bottom of the chair. I tried to keep focused on at least listening to the show since the act was good, but kept getting distracted by the fact I paid good money for a show I couldn't even see. Ridiculous. This was the first time at this venue, and I can't say I'll be going back after this extremely disappointing experience. EDIT to add... as I scroll through reviews I'm seeing a lot of them that say "not a bad seat in the house" (exact wording) - I have to wonder if the venue is putting people up to saying that, since obviously there are a number of "bad seats" to be had here.

Gorgeous venue that looks very well maintained. Just went for the Keshi concert and could not have had a better experience. My seat had plenty if knee room and even though I thought it was quite far from the stage, I had a great view. Acoustics sounded loud and clear. Never going to forget this incredible experience ❤️

This place was so beautiful. I saw two shows here: one in the general admission pit, and one in the Orchestra 2 section. Both shows had many great points, as far as views (see photos) and comfort were concerned, but the orchestra section had AMAZING sound. The staff were friendly, and it was clean. We didn't have to stand outside in the cold to wait for the show, which goes a long way with me.

Really nice venue with great sound. The walls and ceiling are carpets so the reverberation is perfect for a listening ear. It’s super clean, well organized, and the staff is efficient and conscientious. Would definitely recommend. Seeing Beach House here was a dream.

Saw Myke Towers. Great performance. However I don’t see how it could be as accessible for disabled people as there were a decent set of stairs to get to my assigned section. The view was great even for the cheaper set of tickets. This was my view in Sec LOGE1, Row E, Seat 11 - 12. Food available on first floor. Small snacks and drinks on both floors. Not too overpriced. Vallet parking available, but you can find street parking if u go an hour before show starts. Great experience overall.

My wife and I recently saw Lady Antebellum at the Met. It was our first time at this venue and we had a fantastic time. The venue is like a time capsule, having well preserved the old opera house vibe. Great acoustics. Friendly staff. And the overall smaller size (compared to the larger venues in the area) makes for a much more intimate concert experience. My only gripes are; parking options are limited and the official lots are expensive ($50 for the D lot which was 3 blocks away). Also, seats in the Orchestra areas are very, very cramped.

Great venue, we had outstanding and unobstructed seating. I will say that parking is a bit of an issue. I would highly recommend prepaying for parking in the Met lot or taking public transportation. Other than that, kick back and enjoy your favorite performer on a really cool setting.

Awesome place to see a show. The fresh popped popcorn arouses your senses when you walk in. (Highly recommend trying it, it's amazing) Great bar selection and awesome event staff. Stairs for seating can be a bit confusing but are well labeled if you take the time to look. Highly suggest buying access to the Grand Sale ballroom!

Amazing experience at The Met! Not a bad seat in the house. These were taken from the section GBOX15 Row C Seat 1. The C row does have an obstructed view(pillars) but I was standing during the show and got a great view. If it's within your means, the A row provides the best view.

We saw a comedian on Saturday night. We were seated in the Loge level which is pretty high up. The show was not sold out, maybe about 75% at most. The Met and the history of it is impressive and deserves credit. It is definitely not a modern facility with modern amenities, but they do a good job of hiding the flaws. The Loge seats are very small and tight... And people going across the row to get out is a huge PITA! As for comedy show, you better have very good eyesight...you can barely see their mouth moving. Instead if a black curtain, if they would put a big screen in the back of stage with a live feed it would have made the show MUCH more immersive. So unless you have prime seating, I would pass on another comedy show at the Met.

The Met is a great place to see a show. The only downside is the overpriced bad parking situation. The venue itself and the staff were all great and I would still go back to see another show, just avoid parking near the venue.

  • 4/5 Alex S. 1 year ago on Google
Really well run venue. We didn’t have the most expensive seats, but we definitely had a great view of the performance. My only complaint was that drinks were so expensive. Get ready for >$15 alcoholic beverages.

Visited this venue for the first time for a concert and really enjoyed it. The venue is clean and well kept, setting itself apart from other venues in the city. The seating is a little tight, but that’s expected in older concert halls. The sound system was crisp, bathrooms were immaculate and the whole experience was fabulous. Bravo to all the staff - they shuffled people seamlessly (we were in the Mezz and could see them asking groups to move to not block other patrons or crowd the bar area to keep it fluid) when needed and were so helpful and courteous. I feel the staff was really tremendous with their operations and helped make the night that much more enjoyable. Great job!!

We're in town visiting. Came to see Deon Cole. Venue was easy to get to. We actually road the subway (my 1st time). Getting into the Venue & our seats was very easy. Had to go thru security & be searched (purses too). But no long line. It was very organized and easy to find your seats.

Beautiful historical venue. It definitely feel like a step back in time with updated features and amenities. There are concessions on the main level when you enter as well as on the upper levels, which is super convenient. Not sure if it was the artist equipment, but the sound was distorted, almost sounded muted through the speakers, I wish they would have turned up the vocals louder. The other downside is that parking isn’t the most accessible. Either buy the add on parking through them or scout out parking beforehand. You can find it cheaper with a 5-10 min walk.

  • 5/5 angeline D. 7 months ago on Google
Amazing venue! The acoustics are on point! Great place to see your favorite artist! Multiple bars and accessory seating, clean bathrooms and did I mention it's over a hundred years old, the architecture is just beautiful! Parking is ridiculous though, fair warning, anything close by is 40$ +

First concert during a pandemic. Safety checks were well organized. My phone crapped out and it was hard to retrieve my tickets. Staff were fabulous about that, box office went above and beyond with advice. Rows were not well marked, ushers were like "walk that way and find your row", spent some time calling out row numbers to lost people wandering around. Seats were older and tightly packed, felt like Broadway or a plane. Rugs were a tripping hazard, especially with the fun lighting, saw a few stumbles Acoustics weren't bad.

One of the best places to see a live concert. Easy to walk around for the ADA patrons. There are a lot of railings throughout the theater. Second Floor has a huge bar. They have a good deal with the bottomless popcorn but there's so much you can eat.
