I discovered this place through my colleagues. It’s cosy and easy to find 👌🏾. If you want to have a great experience with Japanese food, make sure to go here. If you wanna have a great experience with food, also go here 😂. The staff is sweet and kind. The presentation of the different courses is beautiful #worthseeing. We loved the broccoli 🥦 and the sweet potatoes 🍠 . The duck meat was so good. The lady next to us praised the ginger tea she got. I regretted why I didn’t order some. I am definitely coming back here. I would like for all my friends to try this restaurant ♥️. Something that bothered me was the fake plants. I hope they get some real ones. Maybe a menu in English would be convenient. In general, it’s a 💯 for me.

Fish was fresh and good quality but the service was rather sluggish although there was only our table in the entire restaurant. A card payment wasn't accepted so we had to walk so long to find the cash. Who doesn't accept cards these days?!

Food was meh - there are many spots that are a lot better to have japanese food at. Even though the menu seems very traditional and authentic (reason why we went there in the first place), the food doesnt taste the way its supposed to. Also very strange that the food from lunchtime isnt available for dinner (they literally dont serve the same food in the evenings - why?). Prices are far too high for what you get and honestly nothing could really satisfy me. The drink was waaay too sweet and my food was so hot that i couldnt eat it.

I really wanted to like this place but can't give it 5 stars. Beat part was the food flavor. 5 stars for that. You should probably make a reservation as it gets busy around 730/8pm. We stayed about two hours and they were rushing us a bit which lost them 1 star. Also, our bill was around 70€ and cash only was kind of a bummer. Who doesnt accept card? It's 2019. Also, it was difficult to understand the waitress as her German accent was very heavy and she didn't know what was included in their main appetizer plate in their combo meal for 1, which could be problematic for people with food allergies. Miso soup was only lukewarm, and usually at restaurants it's boiling hot. I probably won't visit again. Side note, service was good, people were friendly.

Sushi is usually fresh and good, but always depends on who is making it. I always order the same dish and can tell which chef is in based on the quality of the cuts, the components, and the visual arrangement of the plate. The sashimi bento keeps getting smaller and smaller. No longer worth the 25€ so I will likely stop ordering here soon. Their online ordering system also doesn't contain all of the options you see in the restaurant's menu, but if you know your dish name and price, you can still order over the phone for pick-up.

This place is a gem in Karlsruhe. So sad I only came across this place a few weeks ago otherwise I would have never gone to another asian cuisine restaurant. Pretty sure this will be my go to place for craving Japanese. The food was incredible and the service something you rarely find anymore. We had a fantastic experience dining here. Also recommended it to friends who tried it out and where just as impressed by the quality of food and service as we were. Actually i don't wanna recommend this place because I am worried too many people find out about it and I won't get a table there anymore 😁

Came here with a colleague who never tried Japaneae food. We had some tempura, takoyaki, Karlsruhe roll and fried udon noodles. The tempura was pretty good, and udon not bad. The roll, however, had a burnt taste to it (probably from the tortched salmon on top), and you coud not taste the tuna inside the roll. The takoyaki were too creamy without much "tako" inside. The worst is that some questionable service happened when happened when we wanted to pay: one person said that we can pay by credit card, another said that their internet is not working and we need to pay in cash. We had to walk to find an atm, withdraw cash and return to pay, questioning why the restaurant staff were not on the same page with each other.

Truth. Do not order beer. I dont know well about beer. But i know this restaurant beer goes bad. Its flavor is sour and bad. So we complain it and they change bottle one. And the dishes are cooked like chinese. Unagi and teriyaki chicken was not bad. But ramen flavor was flavor ive never tasted before. No recommand.

Very good place - quality over quantity. Parking is a bit difficult but overall very nice ambiance. Try to get to the rooms on the side, they are funny experience.

Really good sushi, but the warm dishes are the bomb as well. Try the eel, have some tasty sashimi. I deducted one star for that one time, where I ordered for takeaway and the tuna wasn’t as fresh as usual.

Nice restaurant, good food and nice interior design. Too many tables for my taste, I imagine that at rush hour it can be noisy in the main room. There are private rooms for bigger groups, which can be fun. At the beginning the waitress was more interested in her phone than me but she got into the work routine fast enough. They don't accept visa cards. Also., for a 'receipt' they showed me the screen of a phone and I only got my proper bill after asking.

It’s a hit or miss here, price and food/service ratio is okay…. Not great but not bad

Really great food. Interior didn't look promising but the service and the food turned out to be amazing especially for the price.

Loved the Ramen (We ordered the one with beef and fried chicken ). The portion size is perfect and really decently priced. I would definitely visit again to try some of their other dishes.

I've had one of the best Bibimbaps here which is actually a Korean food. Can totally recommend.
