After years of suffering through cripplingly painful cycles, from severe endometriosis, PCOS, and Adenomyosis, my husband and I began what turned into our 6 year journey of conceiving a child of our own. It had always been our plan. We went through the standard procedures that our healthcare lead us through. After 2 surgeries to remove endometriosis, 3 polyp removals, 4 IUIs, 3 egg retrievals, and an additional diagnosis of a chromosomal abnormality called reciprocal translocation on my 2 and 13 chromosomes, we finally resulted in a positive pregnancy test. Only to lose the child a month into the pregnancy. We were told there was no other options to conceive on our own. I found myself at my limit. Not only were my cycles so bad, but I would also get sick every time after my cycle ended. So half of my life was completely nonfunctional. As I lay in a hot shower crying from both the pain and feelings of helplessness I found hope in a review someone had written on Oasis Women’s clinic. I immediately made an appointment. Once there Dr Rebecca immediately made me felt heard, and you could tell she truly cared and wanted to find a solution. Before seeing Dr Rebecca the only way I could feel that I didn’t need to go to the hospital was with 2 oxycodines and 6 800mg ibuprofen. Which I didn’t want to live like, and I was still in so much pain I couldn’t function. After regularly seeing Dr Rebecca, Incrementally I saw and felt my symptoms become less and less. I decided to focus on getting healthy and get off the emotional roller coaster of focusing on pregnancy solely. But it was always in my heart and in the back of my mind, and Dr. Rebecca kept it in her protocols. Finally after a year I become pregnant and went through all of the checks and scans and I am so happy to be most of the way through my third trimester with a healthy baby girl that was conceived naturally. Dreams do come true, and I want to write this review in case you are on the fence and have suffered any of the diseases I have. There is still hope in finding a different and more natural way to heal our body.

I originally saw Rebecca at Oasis women’s clinic for pain relief for endometriosis. I had tried hormonal medication and while I felt much better, my hormones were all over the place so I wanted to try something that was better for my body so I started treatment with Rebecca. With the mix of teas and acupuncture, we were able to control my pain levels. I was also seeing Rebecca weekly when I got pregnant! She helped me through the first couple weeks of nausea and then as well at the end of my pregnancy to get my body ready for labor. I had a pretty easy labor and delivery too!!

I'm amazed with the Endometriosis community. I started at Oasis acupuncture after struggling with infertility for over two years and I had severe menstrual pain that impacted my day to day living. She was wonderful and worked with me and my doctor's and I truly believe she is a huge reason why we welcomed our baby boy this June. I recommend her to everyone we can. She is the best at what she does and listens.

Rebecca is the real deal!!! I started seeing her back in February of this year. I had a miscarriage a year before in May. Then my husband and I decided to hold off on trying for a baby because I needed surgery to remove my left Fallopian tube and some endometriosis. Fast forward to February of 2022, we became pregnant but I had my second miscarriage. I felt so hopeless and afraid. I started doing research on doctors, acupuncturists, herbs, supplements, etc. While seeing Rebecca, I was also seeing an infertility specialist who ran a full panel of tests to see if there was a reason as to why I was miscarrying. From February until about July we were instructed by our doc to hold off on trying until we received our tests back. In the meantime, Rebecca helped prepare my body for conception. I was given herbal teas weekly to drink. We did acupuncture sessions once a week. She tailored each session to how I was feeling that week. Bad migraine? Okay we will focus on that and do acupuncture in the areas that we’re experiencing pain. Feeling extra crampy or pain in pelvis? We did extra work in the pelvic region and she would adjust the teas according to how I felt. I will also mention, that even though we were preparing my body for conception, Rebecca was also working on my endometriosis pain. My pain was usually at about an 8-9 every time I had a period. I even had horrible pain when I wasn’t menstruating. A few months in, I noticed my pain had substantially gotten better. My periods were at a about a 4, which was honestly unheard of for me. In July, I was given the okay by my doc to try again since all my tests came back normal. In September, I found out I was pregnant again. I was terrified, but Rebecca always seemed confident and was always optimistic about it. This pregnancy was definitely different than my previous two, as in I felt symptoms pretty much instantly and because I didn’t bleed at all, which with the other two I did. I honestly attribute that to the help of Rebecca and the practice of Chinese medicine. I was so skeptical, but here I am today writing this and I’m 15 weeks. Not only is she great at what she does, her presence is calm and she makes you feel like you’re a good friend of hers. I have been going to my TCM appointments with Rebecca for almost a year now. I was going originally due to postpartum anxiety, severely painful periods, and even a uterine polyp. While I still deal with anxiety, it is at a much lower level than when I began, and the polyp and period pain are all completely gone. I’ve had other health things come up in my time there that I’m still working through, but it always felt nice to have a touch point throughout my week or month depending on how often I went. I like to recharge, relax and even feel a little pampered too when I go now. I mainly go for that and to have my own “me” time twice a month. I may not need/use it like I did when I first began, but I view that as a good thing because so much has been resolved! But, I’m not ready to be done with it either! Haha. Thank you so much Dr Burrous for your attention! I had such an amazing experience and a successful treatment after I was diagnosed with bells palsy. I saw almost immediate results. She was very thorough and detailed and explained everything in a way that I would understand. I was two weeks in with no improvement or movement in my face after taking what I was prescribed after going to the ER. It only took a few treatments with herbal medicine to heal it completely.
