This place has a lot of potential to be great. They have onsite parking, location is beautiful and also shared space with a bar and other businesses. The menu is one page so it’s not hard to pick what you like. The food itself was just okay. The flavors could pack more of a punch considering the Asian fusion style. The ramen was kind of bland and honestly too expensive at $17 for what you’re getting. The buns were delicious and the dumplings were okay…should have gone for the brisket but went for pork. The service was awesome though. They were really careful and mindful of allergies and dietary restrictions. Overall I would only go back to have drinks and appetizers and of course the great service.

While visiting my son for his 16th Birthday we decided to try out a Ramen shop and boy were we surprised. I will say the atmosphere, the decor and the seating was all amazing. The food was delicious! We ordered Short Rib dumplings, Korean Fried Mushrooms, Pork Ramen, Lemon Pepper Chicken Ramen and then they brought out a wonderful dessert with a candle! Definitely a must try!

Neighborhood Asian fusion restaurant in Uptown. Patio space available. They also have happy hour for $10 classic cocktails and $9 house wine. The food is very interesting when you are not expecting traditional taste. I would recommend you to order Tuna chips. The chips were very well seasoned. It complemented very well with the sauce. The different textures made it very fun to eat. The dish that I wasn’t impressed with was the Korean fried mushroom because it taste a bit like raw undercooked flour.

Kind of an unassuming location in Central Phoenix. If you weren't looking for it, You would drive right past it. When you walk up to it, you get this strong smell of barbecued meat. When you walk inside it's a smaller restaurant from the outside but it's pretty large. It's got patio seating, bar seating, a community table, and smaller tables. The servers were kind and helpful and helpedus pick our meals. It's kid-friendly. They had a kids menu which my kids actually ate off of. We had five entrees that we all shared and they were all amazing. Definitely left us feeling full. We would recommend this to anybody wanting to try something different.

Delicious food, with an Asian twist!! I came here for once of the first dates with my partner (2 years ago) had the ramen and was delicious! Just ate here again, still amazed like the first time! We had the calamari and hot chicken bao buns for the first time, so yummy! Great food and drink items on there happy hour. Outdoor and indoor seating. Smaller tables, unless you get a booth. A lot of vegetarian options.

This Asian fusion restaurant and bar is truly amazing. The variety of food options available is excellent, but my absolute favorite is their pork ramen. The pork is expertly seared to perfection, resulting in a delightful crispiness and crunch. The crust is thick yet incredibly tender and juicy, and it's worth noting that there's absolutely no undesirable pork flavor. The broth is equally impressive and adds another layer of deliciousness to the dish.

The overall experience was amazing. The food is top quality and worth the price! I felt very well fed and refreshed instead of bloated. The staff is super friendly and professional, there is lots of natural light which gives great ambiance. Will come back again for sure!

Everything was fantastic! We sat outside which was a little chilly and our own fault so apps got a little cold while we were sitting there but the food was to die for! Definitely will be back for the ramen!!

I've heard great things about this place but sadly was disappointed after receiving my order tonight. My ramen had several pieces of plastic inside of it (I'm guessing from a wrapper). Other than that the egg wasn't seasoned and the noodles seemed kinda flavorless but I'm not sure if that's just how it's prepared here. I wish i had something better to add but I'm willing to give it a second chance because maybe it was an off night

Completely flavorless ramen, we had 2 pork and 1 vegetable. The pork was almost completely fat and the tofu wasn't done correctly. The pork "buns" weren't actually buns, they were more like little tacos. The sauce that was served on top was way too salty and was the only thing we could taste. Not impressed.

Nice vibe and staff was friendly. I had their chow mein, it was savory, although a tad on the salty side. I was recommended their pork belly, but I didn't try it this time. Maybe next time!

Pretty tasty food. I’ve been for lunch twice and dinner once. The dumplings I thought were surprisingly good. I’ve been a bit hit or miss on the noodle dishes, but definitely give them a try.

It was a very nice restaurant! Big portions of Ramen and very delishious steamed buns. The atmosphere was great, everything was clean and stylish. They have loose leaf green tea which is very high quality. Also, if you come before 6pm they have a happy hour ($2 off on some food items) and $1 off drinks. Maybe they could offer a bigger happy hour discount on drinks. The 3.5% service fee is a little annoying. They say it is implemented so they don't have to raise menu prices, but the effect is exactly the same either way. It seems a little deceptive, but not a big drawback! Check out their website, it is very user friendly and stylish.

Super happy to support this local restaurant. Can't wait to get back for their happy hour.

At the recommendation of our server last night at McArthur's restaurant we came to this establishment. Without a reservation on a Saturday afternoon we walked in and were immediately seated. Drinks came quickly, food as well. The fried rice was a nice portion, just know you need to add the protein. The steamed buns are also amazing but they are single menu items so I would recommend at least 3 if you want that to be your meal.

This is one of my favorite spots in Phoenix. If we have someone come into town that’s never been, we take them to Clever Koi. Food is always good. XO noodles are my order. Cocktails are amazing. Service is always top-notch. Indoor is very stylish. Outdoor patio is pretty comfortable, even in the summer. I love Clever Koi.

The go-to restaurant in the downtown Phoenix area. Their food is unmatched and the drinks are delicious. This is the perfect location for a first date, or a special occasion. They have happy hour everyday until 6pm which takes a couple of dollars off of your drinks and select menu items. I recommend the fan-favorite Crazy fries (pictured) and a paloma.

For the main thing on the menu you think their ramen would be good but, unfortunately, it is really bland. I had the their pork (Tonkatsu) ramen and the only good parts were the kimchi and the crispy pork belly. It was an insult to what real Tonkatsu ramen is. I’ve had better cup noodles than the garbage they were trying to dress up as ramen. It lacked and depth or any flavor for that matter. Ramen is about the broth and they really missed the mark. Atmosphere is great and the service was excellent. We also had a cold noodle dish that was amazing. If you are coming for the ramen like I was, don’t. You will thank me later. Explore the rest of their menu. Everything, other than the ramen, was delicious and I wish we would have started there.

Great food, service and ambiance. Really liked their ramens. Dumplings and tartare weren’t bad but nothing special. The wings were good.

This is one of my favorite restaurants! ? I'll always order the pork belly ramen (without mushrooms). ? Thank you for your hard work and great customer service! ?

This place is so good. I usually go on a Monday or Tuesday for their special where you get 2 cocktails a person and a noodle dish of choice.

The food has always been great here. I highly suggest an appetizer and a glass of wine or cocktail. The calamari fries are amazing. Then pick your choice of ramen 🍜 or even pad Thai. They provide great service, getting you seated quickly and ensuring comfort indoors or out. The front patio is fantastic this time of year with the portable heaters.

The server brought out our food super fast. The restaurant had a nice cozy vibe to it. The food was good, but it was a bit salty to my liking.

  • 4/5 ベナクリス 11 months ago on Google
Definitely a good place with various Asian associated items such as ramen, dumplings, Pad Thai, and so forth; the menu offerings while small, do pack some taste. I had the pork belly steamed bun, which took the shape of a taco but tasted great. The calamari was actually quite tasty, with the bonito flakes adding a nice touch to the dish overall. The ramen, while having a good miso taste, had slightly soggy noodles, and the chicken just didn't seem to have a place in the dish. All the other ingredients got along, but the chicken was just kind of there. All together, this was a good place to eat. Price was just a tad bit high for some of the drinks/dishes, but the service was indeed amazing ( I never found a restaurant with bad service during my stay).

Great Asian fusion food with a chill vibe. Worth setting a reservation through google maps. Patio is open for first come first serve but in the summer months o boy it’s warm out there. Had the shaking beef and XO noodles - the noodles were pretty darn tasty.

This place has changed in its quality. , I loved their Lemon Pepper Chicken noodle but now it is different, and does not taste well as before. I also ordered the Chicken Katsu sandwich and it was ok. One thing that didn't disappoint me was their calamari fries, those keep still being fresh. Their steamed bums looked like fluffy tacos. I was expecting them to look like a ball. Their service was not that great either.

We had XO Noodles, Vegan Shoyu Ramen, Korean Hot Chicken and Kimchi Cauliflower Steamed Buns, and Korean Fried Mushrooms! Oh and the caramel donuts! It was all so good I ordered a Lemon Pepper Chicken Ramen to go! Im picky because I like to cook and Im a good cook 😅 so I dont typically write reviews unless its really good! We will be coming back!

I visited from out of town, and this was easily one of the best bowls of ramen I've ever had. Great service, the restaurant atmosphere was great as well, and they even give you two different sriracha flavors to add to your meal. As a spice fiend I couldn't resist. The bowl was also massive; you definitely are getting what you paid for. Presentation and taste on point

This place seemed hidden from the main street—especially if you’re not looking for it. My daughter mentioned it and we met here for a late lunch/early dinner. Walking in, it’s cozy, open, good vibes. We were greeted immediately, the same to sit. We were told certain empty tables were reserved but eventually were sat in one of those but told we’d have to leave by the time the reservation was held for that party. The calamari fries delicious; so much flavor and not soggy, like some places. I tried the Pork Ramen and it was absolutely delicious. Packs a punch with the spice. My daughter ordered the chicken ramen, and it was amazing, as well. My son ordered the sandwich and he loved it, especially the sauce it was drizzled with. I ordered a cocktail (Rick’s martini $14) and it wasn’t great, won’t order it again. But I definitely will return for that ramen alone.

First time here, first off i suggest you make a reservation if you are planning on the weekend. I unfortunately did not have one, and it was either patio seating, in july, no thanks or bar seating....luckily someone canceled, so we had a table. Service was amazing, very attentive, and our water glasses were never empty. The food was devine, very tasty, and seasoned. Highly recommend, great location, plenty of parking, it's a must if in thr area!

Ramen was the best i have had in Phoenix. Happy hour is from open until 6 $2 off HH food items and $10 classic cocktails. Highly reccomended.

The staff was very kind, and the food was good. Brought my family of 10 here and they loved it even though they are picky. We sat here and had a good time talking and had seats outside so we felt the outside air. We order alot of food and most were good and okay.

This place is next level!! Food was AMAZING! Between me and my friend we had tuna chips, dumplings, steamed buns, fried rice, and kung pao veggies…all were outstanding! Compliments to the chef and servers…well done!

This place has such a great vibe and I love the atmosphere! The servers are super friendly but kind of slow service when we stopped in on a Thursday evening. The crab bao buns lacked flavor and were cold when they arrived but the short rib dumplings and ramen were delicious. I always enjoy eating here and try something different each time.

What a fantastic Asian restaurant experience! I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this place. The food was exceptional. We kicked off our meal with the steamed buns, trying three varieties – the pork belly, the soft-shelled crab, and the Korean hot chicken. The buns themselves were delicious, slightly sweet, and perfect. While the pork belly was a bit tough to eat (the pork itself was hard), the soft-shelled crab was amazing, especially the sauce. The Korean chicken was okay and was my least favorite out of the three We ordered the classic Pad Thai with grilled lemongrass chicken, and it was simply WOW, truly amazing! The chicken seasoning was spot-on, and I couldn't get enough of the noodles. The serving sizes were generous, and the pork ramen offered the same delightful experience – ample portions, delicious broth, and tasty noodles. The service, overall, was great, with one exception. The hostess, unfortunately, was rather rude when we entered. Despite the restaurant being empty, she offered only a table outside and, as we were a party of two, suggested only the bench as seats without providing an extra chair – something that I thought was bizzare. However, the server quickly corrected the situation by offering a chair, turning that initial sour moment into a positive one. Even after we left, I couldn't help but notice empty tables in the restaurant, making the hostess's choice of seating seem unnecessarily uncomfortable. Despite this hiccup, I cherished every minute of my time at this restaurant, and the food truly is exceptional!

Got the Short Rib Dumplings, Pork Belly Bao, Soft Shell Crab Bao, Korean Hot Chicken Bao, Pork Ramen, Banana Fritters, and Long Island Iced Thai. The short rib dumplings are to die for! Highly recommend. All the baos are also delicious. We were underwhelmed by the ramen, I think it was too much kimchi/ginger/acidity. And the banana fritters were interesting, worth ordering once. They're basically banana donut holes rolled in cinnamon sugar and five spice with a caramel.

Amazing ramen, and friendly chill service. Cocktail was amazing too. My only regret was I couldn't try more than one cocktail or food item today. Definitely going back next time I'm in town.

Clever Koi is an all around winner in the central Phoenix corridor. Their ramen is deliciously traditional yet possesses a character unique to the otherwise standard ramen experience. I think the short rib dumplings are one of the best appetizers in history. I’ve tried everything on the menu and can honestly say it’s all delicious. Awesome staff and atmosphere too

This place is a hidden gem and a great date night spot. You have to check it out. It has one of the coolest vibes and I haven’t tried anything yet that I haven’t liked. Their drinks are always on point too. It can add up pretty fast but I’d say the prices overall are worth it.

Used to come here all the time. Loved their Pork Belly Roman because it was truly artisan crafted. All of a sudden, I go in and order my usual, and they bring out what seems like a Maruchan bowl of noodles and nothing resembling homemade ingredients. Truly disappointed. I pay extra for authenticity. Beers are also never cold enough from drafts. Too bad because I’d usually spend $40-$50 to treat myself once in a while. Not anymore.

My family and I went here just because we wanted Asian cuisine and we were staying just 5 mins away. I’m so happy we stumbled upon this place because we are definitely going back! Food was delicious however I had never been there so my daughter (an adult) ordered and she was treating me to dinner. Our waitress kept dismissing her while she was talking and kept looking at me I found it very rude and disrespectful or I would've gave it 5 stars.
