The biggest first-world bummer of quarantine has been missing out on weekend nights finished off at this bar. This is my favorite bar in Phoenix, especially when there is live music and an even livelier crowd. I feel at home here. Peak happiness and vibes!! I’m feeling so nostalgic as I write this.

I had a forced overnight layover in Phoenix and was put up close by. At 10 pm, there aren’t a lot of walk-in dining options. So I chose to give it a try. Had a pint of Guinness. Perfectly drawn. Great temp. Wanted something to eat that wasn’t overly heavy, which looks challenging on this menu. Bartender was very attentive and suggested a bowl of Irish stew. It was great. Just want I needed. The atmosphere here seems great. Security out front provides some peace of mind. TVs were showing a variety of sports. Lots of people visiting and having a good time. If I lived in the area, I’d definitely hit this place up regularly.

We stopped by for an early dinner before going to a nearby show. Our server, Jeni, was an absolute joy. She was so high energy, attentive, and helpful. A real masterclass in customer service. Our food was also delicious! Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly and we'd absolutely come back. Only downside is the prices are a tad on the high side. 2 entrees and an appetizer ran us $70 (including tip of course.) But still a 5 star experience.

Lovely Irish pub with great food and atmosphere to boot. Highly recommend. Cornbeef & cabbage is perfectly cook , fish & shrimp with chips is delicious. Not overly priced or crowed. We will definitely be coming back.

If you are ever in Phoenix and have a craving for authentic Irish fare in a classic pub setting, then Seamus is where you must go. Seamus is comfort all-around -- comfort food, comfortable environment, homey, and a place where you just might make a few friends. The service is friendly, the staff actually seems to care about their customers, and the food is, well, awesome!!! We tried the Irish nachos and steak & Guinness boxty. Wow! Serving sizes are generous and the flavors come through wonderfully. I happen to really like a good boxty and had to try their steak boxty. You could taste the Guinness in the gravy and the potato pancake on top was soft, flavorful, and delicious. The homemade Irish soda bread was soft and a great dunking device in the boxy gravy. The same goes for the Irish nachos. Large portions, great flavors, and just oh so satisfying. This is the way any restaurant should operate. With authenticity, with care, and with love. Seamus does it right.

Great little Irish pub. The actual size isn't small, large bar and plenty of space to sit and spread out. Good selection of beer and alcohol. Did not order food but it smelled great. Service was spot on and attentive. Definitely someplace I would frequent if in the area again.

Stepping into Seamus McCaffrey's Irish Pub was a delightful journey into the heart of Ireland itself, where the menu boasts traditional Irish fare like fish and chips and hearty stews that transport you straight to the Emerald Isle. However, it's the whisky selection that truly elevates the experience, with an astonishing variety of Bourbons, Irish Whiskey, and Scotch Whisky that could easily make any whisky enthusiast's heart skip a beat. If whisky's your game, then downtown's compass points directly here. Amidst this spirited haven, our bartender "Liz" orchestrated an exceptional experience, ensuring each moment was steeped in warmth and personal attention, making us feel like cherished guests.

While I have family visiting this week we decided to check out some supposed haunted spots in the city. My brother loves that kinda stuff. First stop was the Hotel San Carlos. After we decided to stop in here for some lunch and I'm glad we did. Very cool Irish pub with more history than I knew. When we arrived they were serving their lunch specials and we all decided on the fish and chips. While we waited we talked with our waitress and well as one of the managers who both told us how patrons have said to of seen a spirit at the edge of the bar who quickly vanishes. Some also spooked in the men's bathroom up a small staircase. There are some tunnels under both here and hotel. Interesting for sure. Our food came out pretty quick and looked great. The fish was golden outside, crispy and full of flavor. The fries were crisp on the outside but a bit mush in middle. I'd of liked them more if they'd been fried and extra minute. Service was awesome and didn't have to ask for anything. They also sell T-shirt's and hoodies if interested. Pretty good size bar, very popular later in the day with its late night hours. Huge bar with you guessed it...plenty of alcohol!

First visit, will definitely go back the next time we're in town. Best Tennessee Mule ever! The shrimp and chip basket was great. Service was excellent, too. They had great live music last night. A lot of fun.

Enjoyed the fish and chips with some local beers. Service was excellent and friendly and food was quick to the table. Everyone in the party enjoyed their meals and all remarked about the good selection of drinks available. Definitely worth a visit. Interior is a typical Irish pub with a long bar and separate seating area. Outside seating available too.

Stopped in for dinner twice on my recent visit to Phoenix. Very lively Irish pub in downtown Phoenix with good food and drink. I had fish and chips my first night and Irish stew the second. Both meals were delicious. Service was very quick The bar has an amazing assortment of whiskey with many scotch whisky as well as Irish and even some from japan. If your lucky, Ken May be tending the bar. I also enjoyed the heated outdoor smoking area. Great place for a casual dinner and a drink. I highly recommend.

No music. Excellent service though. Regulars all got there stuff together. All in all great place and atmosphere. Interactions with wildlife (homeless) surrounding pub aren't advised though.

Their Sheppard's pie though made with hamburger is very good. My boyfriend had either a fish or chicken sandwich that he said tasted like it was frozen food. Their fries were very good tho and their Irish bread was fantastic. Draft beers weren't too bad at happy hour prices even on game night.

My family and I came here to eat dinner. We were looking forward to eating here. As we walked in the bartender told us to find a seat and someone will be right with you. After waiting for 25 minutes for someone to come to our table, we walked out. My son was impatient and was very thirsty and hungry. We went somewhere else to eat.

It just so happened that we visited on the fourth of July and McCaffery's was one of the few restaurants open. Lucky of us, it was a good place to have a meal. Without putting too fine of a point on it, we all had the same thing - fish and chips. The fish was fried very nicely, better than a lot of places that do this for a living. The chips did not seem to be fresh cut potatoes (well, they didn't seem that way to me) but done okay so I didn't have any big problem with that. The atmosphere is a typical pub - a little dark in furnishing and atmosphere (lighting) and, well, pub style with booths and bar stools. The wait staff was good and service was prompt for the most part. It wasn't too busy when we were there but I can imagine that it does get quite busy at time. A good choice for a meal if you're in the area.

I have ordered from here a few times via Postmates. Everything I have ordered, I have enjoyed; until today. I ordered the Steak and Mushroom Pie, with the Irish Whiskey Cake (sans ice cream) for dessert. The dinner was haphazardly put into the container, and there were only two small bites of meat underneath the crust. It was basically mushroom sauce covered in a soggy crust that was overly salty. I couldn't bring myself to finish eating it. The cake was also completely left out of the order. I resolved that issue through Postmates and received the credit for the missing part of my order, but I am upset over the poor quality of my order. I know more people are placing to go orders due to current circumstances, however increase in order should not yield a decrease in food quality. It will be some time before I order again. I gave 2 stars because my last orders were delicious.

This is a great place to come and hangout after a long day after work. I came in the late evening so luckily there were still seats for large parties. I like going here because if you have a larger party, it will accommodate well since the seating are benches I tried their Belgium and stouts and I was a fan. Not to mention their bratwurst is on point! I recommend any of their exotics since it ranges from mild to strong flavors.

Best irish restaurant!!!! Authentic irish cooking as well as yummy American options too. I live in far Glendale by Luke air force base and Its so worth making the long trip on the bus or car!!! Their shepherds pie is just like my nan's back home in kilkenny Ireland. And their soda bread is addicting its soft and so delicious and aromatic.

I got an Imperial pint of a very tasty IPA ($8 including tax). It was very delicious. Bartender was courteous, helpful and friendly. I was there around noon and the place was empty. A good choice if you want a quiet surrounding as the music is low volume - at least it was when I was there. The only negative I can think of is that you might have to pay for parking if you drive there. 5 stars

"Excellent wine, excellent lobster brisket, excellent steak, excellent service"The service, the food, the prices, the atmosphere; all well worth it." They market themselves as home, and they didn’t disappoint. A much different selection of home style food than most places - they have pot pie, which I’ll try next time - and I loved everything I tried today. Can’t wait to go back!

I always love the food here. There isn’t anything on their menu that has disappointed me so far. My boyfriend and I have been coming here a lot this past year and plan on eventually trying everything on their menu. So far, we’ve had the Western Bacon Cheeseburger, Fish & Chips (one of our favs and I’m now a fan of coleslaw after trying theirs with this dish), Irish Nachos, Rueben Sandwich, Philly Cheesesteak, and Corned Beef & Cabbage (lives up to its reputation and the fresh slice of their Irish soda bread and butter they serve with it is amazing; it just crumbles it your mouth). FYI: Best steak fries around.

Got the shepherd's pie and I thought it was very good. The mashed potatoes were clearly made in-house and tasted delicious. The filling tasted good but got a bit salty towards the end. Overall, a nice comfort dish. Because I ordered for take out, I didn't really get the full sit-down service but my interactions with the bartender who took and packed my order was very pleasant.

  • 3/5 John Van R. 2 years ago on Google
The food was decent but the service that we received was meh. I believe it depends on the server as the table behind us has a very attentive and friendly waiter. Either way probably hit or miss. At least some of the items on the menu were authentic Irish dishes.

Seamus Irish Restaurants is a nice little hole in the wall bar with amazing food, great wait staff and an excellent vibe through and through! My girlfriend and I got the Irish Nachos and Reuben sandwich, both were delicious! We also got cocktails from our amazingly helpful waitress and some Japanese whiskey. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy spot in need of a beer and some good hearty food!

A must visit for anyone and everyone. This pub is the most welcoming place despite it having the “local bar” vibe. Authentic Irish pub is an understatement. The bartender Matt is terrific, we told him “surprise me” on our next round and my my did he give us a wonderful drink. It’s called “Matt’s Medicine” which is a must try. The drink is great relief from the Arizona sun and heat. I will definitely return. You will not regret coming here! I’d say this is the perfect place to experience an authentic Irish pub in the SW. No foofoo, no bougie, just a welcoming experience, that’s affordable and a great time. Go here for good drinks and great Irish food!

These guys have a very relaxed environment, all the good whiskey I could want to choose from, and a gourmet mac & cheese that is to die for. What a nice late afternoon discovery when looking to rest from the hustle of a nearby convention. I'll be back!

Food was good. The lady bartender couldn’t properly pour a Guinness and cider. She casually acknowledged it, but didn’t offer to redo it. So I ordered a bud heavy. Then the guy bartender asks if I’m done, I said yes, and I was gonna say something else and he railroaded right over me and ignored what I said. You can find a better place in this town.

I’ve been searching for a good place to chill, have a beer and a meal. The bar looked pretty to me, so I stepped in. I was welcomed by two charmant bartenders and it was a lot of joy to chat with them. The recommended hazed IPA was great and the burger was the best, that I’ve had so far (during my 2 weeks business trip). Great spot to go to have good time. Thanks to the chef and the bartenders!

#AccordingToArmon HUGE SHOUTOUT to Bre as she was very welcoming, friendly & timely for my wife & I’s first time in the city! We ordered a Western Bacon Cheeseburger & the Mango Habanero Chicken Wings; which she was more than knowledgeable on the menu and was able to inform us on items that were not on the menu, but matched our taste buds! The burger was a definite 10 out of 10, and the fries were pretty tasty & very fresh as well! The chicken wings were about an 8 out of 10! Had they been cooked a little bit longer/crispier, they would have definitely been a 10 out of 10! We would definitely come again; simply because Bre was AMAZING! Great job to her and the rest of the staff!

We tried this place with a large group - the waitress kept up the pace admirably and took care of everyone without a hitch. The food was solid and what should be expected from a place like this (and they even had a vegetarian option or two, which is more that what I usually expect). They added the gratuity to the bill without notice, but that's pretty common when serving large groups, and the added fee was clearly indicated on the bill. I wish they had given us a heads up, but it did very little to detract from a pretty fun night out.

  • 3/5 Ann B. 9 months ago on Google
Well, maybe we just hit it at a bad time. They were short handed for a while, finally another waitress came in. We waited well over an hour for our orders. 3 people in our party ordered the Shepard Pie. One was baked, the other 2 came from the microwave and you could certainly tell it. Only 1 was finished, the other 2 wasted in the garbage. I had the Ruben, it was good. I would've asked for a little more sauerkraut but our wait had been long enough already. The service was good. Waitresses were doing their best to keep up. You might give Seamus a try if the menu appeals to you. Give them a shot and see what you think.

Go for the food not necessarily for the service. I've been in consistently because I'm hooked on the shepherds pie but the service isn't friendly, always goes downhill after I order my food so I started to get my food to go. I'm a big believer on tipping but this place is making me start to second guess doing 20 percent, Im going to have to start cutting down

Liz was a dynamite bartender. Too busy to chit chat, but a marvel to watch. Food on time, drinks never empty! The Shepard's our was great. I am stuffed! Good dinner!

Your classic Irish Pub & Grill Food is very good and not your typical cheap bar food. This is actually very fulfilling food and I started going just for regular dinner meals. What I like most is that it says the kitchen closes at 1 am and they mean it. They don't close early like so many other places or have variable kitchen hours. Drinks are great. Aniyah (spelling?) is also a very sweet and kind bartender who works late. I felt very welcomed and comfortable. You usually don't get that from late night places in this area. Most places and bartenders in this area just seem annoyed or cold. You won't get that here Security is great too and don't power trip like other security at bars in the area. One of my favorite bars whenever I visit downtown Phoenix for work. I always look forward to spending time here.

Cool Irish pub, very authentic vibe. Had the steak and mushroom pie. I don't think I stopped to breath eating it, was so good. My with did stop me from licking the bowl.

We stumbled upon this place after a food show. I love a good Guinness and this place was as close as I've found since I left home. A bit of a Bishop's collar, but it tasted so fine. I must add that they do not skimp on a straight whiskey pour!

Went over Halloween weekend. Loved the decor - original and Halloween themed. Ally the bartender is amazing-sweet and professional! The vibe is chill and will definitely go back!
