There was no wait to be seated when we arrived on a Wednesday evening. We opted for patio seating, since it's October and the nights are very pleasant. We had to place our food order inside, at the bar but they did serve our food to us on the patio. The pizza was delicious and I'm sure we'll return in the future. 🍕🍻

$25 for this gluten free vegan pizza. Little to no cheese, hardly cooked vegetables, toppings don’t cover the whole pie, almost as big as my hand. Huge disappointment. Fired Pie is $12.99 and twice the size with unlimited toppings for gf, vegan.

Best pizza place! The crispy crust on the end of my pizza was tasty and deliciously fresh. The cheese amount is generous along with the topping. The music and the atmosphere were a vibe! The service was friendly and the artichoke dip is to die for! We order the Hawaiian Pizza The calzone and Buffalo chicken 🍕 pizza! Not your ordinary pizza place 😋

Food is awesome, they have gluten free options also a lot of vegetarian dishes. I love their pizza bread, texture is perfect, flavors are on point, customer service is good. Sincerely this is the best pizza I've ever had. First time I tried it, it was at their Tempe's location, but the food in this one was just as good.

OMG the food here was soooo good 😁😁 can't forget to mention that they have a good selection of beers as well! Appetizers (pretzel bites below + spinach artichoke dip) is a must👍. My friends and I ordered three different types of pizzas: kosmic, thai dye, merry prankster. Each one had a unique flavor and delicious! Definitely would recommend this place! They do get busy during the weekend. The bar area is not that big & happy hour is between 3pm-6pm then reverse hr at 10pm-2am. The bartenders are all super friendly and attentive :) **visit is from 1/27/23**

Overall, the food was good and the atmosphere was good. There were a couple of hiccups, but management quickly rectified it. So, I would recommend Mellow Mushroom. Enjoy and happy eating. I would go back to Mellow Mushroom. 👍🏽

I absolutely love this Mellow Mushroom! My friends and i come here after work and it’s always a good time. The hours the location is open is very convenient given you can go later at night. The pizzas are the BEST and so is the service. I’ve been here multiple times and figured out Pacific Rim, Backyard BBQ & Buffalo Chicken are must have pizzas :D

Great pizza and beer. Fed a family of 5 at happy hour for $39. Half price apps and drinks. They served us very quickly and the pizza was grea.

Hadn't been here in ages and it's so much better than I remembered! We ordered the Merry Prankster and while it's not your traditional pizza, it was phenomenal! The way they make their dough allowa for the pizza to reheat great without getting rock hard. We also ordered the cheese bread and wedge salad. The cheese bread was great, the cheese tasted fresh and the bread quality they used was awesome. The wedge salad was mediocre at best. They advertise an entire wedge, which is what you'd expect to get from a wedge salad but in reality it's just half. Plus the marinated tomatoes they add to it are over powering and take away from the wedge salad taste.

Underwhelming experience! Used to come here often when I was pregnant for late night reverse happy hour that starts at 10pm. (Only plus of the evening!) Server was really weird about not being about to accept my husband's legal digitized gov. id that we've even used to board an airplane. I presented her with his physical id which luckily I had and she then left and came back and said she was still unable to serve him. We then asked for a manager where he let us know they were aware it was legal and legit but that they didn't accept it. Weird response but fair I guess it's yal business. We then strangely started being served by another server on the floor which was better cuz he was a way better server anyway. Manager then apologized and discounted the bill for the trouble. Not the best customer experience but I enjoyed the cheap drinks! 🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️

Let me Begin by saying I used to love mellow mushroom in Atlanta in the 1980s. As far as Pizza goes this is not a place I would ever return to for a pizza or calzone. I gave it two stars only because the bar had some great beers on tap. Being from New Jersey and New York with the fortunate experience of living in Italy I'm a fan of traditional Italian pizza. This is not in that category. I ordered a mushroom pizza and I deliberately ask the waiter to make sure that the crust was not burnt. He indicated that the pizzas are cooked for 7 minutes in some sort of automated oven. Well sure enough the pizza came with the entire bottom of the crust burnt. When he came over to the table he didn't ask if we enjoyed the pizza but rather stated the pizzas wonderful isn't it? And I indicated to him that the pizza was burnt. He offered to make a free small pizza which I declined because if it stays in the oven for the same automated 7 minutes it would come out the same. The pizza was very oily and probably the worst part was the dough was very very dry. We also ordered a calzone to sample. This was not burnt but it was the same dry dough. The ingredients were definitely fresh and quite good but I'm not sure what the point is if the dough is not very good. The atmosphere of the restaurant when you first walk in looks very cool and fun. However it is so loud from people's talking and the high ceilings with probably a metal or concrete roof that it's impossible to have a conversation with your table mates. As mentioned the bar had a great selection of beers, but this is not a place to have a beer and talk with a friend because as stated it's just too loud in the restaurant. A huge disappointment for pizza place that used to be great when it was simple. I definitely would not return nor recommend this to anyone.

I seriously LOVE this place. My favorite pizza here is the loaded potato! I could eat this once a week if they were closer to us. We need a Mellow Mushroom in Waddell (Prasada, perhaps??).

Let's start this off by saying I'm from NYC and I've arguably had some of the best pizza this country has to offer. First time trying this "joint" and I couldn't be more pleasantly surprised. Started with getting 2 orders of wings, tried the Thai Chili (amazing) sweet and spicy and then went with your typical buffalo. Wings are huge, meaty and delicious. Now to the pizza. Had to try the typical pepporoni thin crust, crust was not crispy thin, but more akin to NY style pizza. Pie was cooked to perfection, not chewy and delicious. Also went with their White Pie which is listed on their menu as "Great White". Pizza has a terrific garlic flavor, sun dried tomatoes, provolone and feta, ricotta clumps throughout the pie. Basil was fresh even during COVID. I got ours without onions, but overall one of the best white pies I've had. So glad I had the opportunity to try this place, sorry no pictures, family started devouring everything before I could even pull out my phone, but for sure I'll be back to try some other fare and I'll keep my voracious family at bay long enough to snap some mouth watering pics.

Best place in Arizona to get pizza. Always consistent. Always great service with a comfortable atmosphere. I would recommend the great white pizza.

Got my own take on chicken pesto pizza. Probably the best I've ever had. Chicken, Roma tomatoes and pesto sauce. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Always a great place to go to. Highly recommend doesn't matter the occasion just go enjoy the food and enjoy the chill atmosphere. I have a good time with my family Everytime I have been. 5 out of 5 for a reason.

I just like because they have the best IPAs and they change it up consistently. They'll have about three or four juices or hazies and they rotate them in and out. So if you find something you like you may not see it the next week. Services outstanding. Always been served right away. or if they're really busy at least they acknowledge that you're there and they're trying their best to get to you. Now during c19 makes a little bit more difficult. both mellow mushrooms that I've gone to have had excellent service and really exquisite beers.

The sweet Thai chili wings were delicious. The wings had a crispy layer with a soft tender middle. The pizza was the meaty pizza. The toppings we complimentary to the taste of the sweet sauce and creamy cheese. The pizza crust was crisp and flakey but full and doughy around the edge. Exceptionally great meal. I will be back.

We live in Tucson but come up to the North side of Phoenix once or twice a month. Whenever we can, we stop in at Mellow Mushroom for food. I have yet to have a meal with something I didn't like there!

Absolutely horrible experience. First, the waitress argues with my wife about what kind of salad she ordered, then the manager didn't even seem to care that he has a rude and argumentative waitress working there and made no attempt to make things right. Maybe we'll give Mellow another shot but definitely not at the Happy Valley location

Nice place, properly following the masks regulations. The servers were very kind, polite and fun people. However the food was nothing special. I guess for the price it's okay but the flavors could definitely be refined. We still had a good time and enjoyed visiting. Hence the 4 stars.

I literally just picked up a pizza for the roomie, not even for me... It smelled uh-mazing. Pretty big considering how cheap it was... Plus, the curb side pick up girl was very nice! Accomadating, it was fast, she was helpful, and everyone wears masks, mandatory! So Thats good! The girl that was working tonight, 10 outta 10.

I normally come to Mellow Mushroom for their reverse happy hour. The drinks are reasonably priced and the food is amazing. They have a pretty good gluten free crust. I would recommend if you have an intolerance to gluten to come here knowing you might eat gluten, too good to pass up. Most of the staff is pretty good. There are a couple that I would not want serving me again, but it's not enough to make me give it less than 5 stars, the drinks and the food make up for the two bad servers I had.

Max 10 people per party. But it's a great happy hour menu and the patio is beautiful even for a summer night.

Explicit music on when we entered, manager did change it. Chipped plates and bowls. Croutons taste like hard stale bread. Positives salad was very good and fresh steak sandwich was very good. Would probably do take out next time.

Great place for pizza. They have a wide selection of gourmet pizzas and appetizers go there for happy hour to get your appetizers for half off. They have a wide selection of beer and the service was great. The only drawback to this place is it's always really loud so if you have a sensitivity to sound bring some earplugs

Great Pizza! We tried this pizza place in Tempe before we moved to Phoenix and fell in love. Tonight we had the Maui Wowi and if you love Hawaiian you’ll love this one. We also tried the Thai Dye. Very delicious as well. My wife proffered the Thai dye and I preferred the Maui. Excited to try the loaded Potato next time. Service is great!

Never been to a mellow mushroom. Food was good. Location was easily accessible. We were the only party on the patio at 1pm on a Tuesday. The riff raff outside/in the parking lot made the entire experience less enjoyable but didn't last long. All and all we had a good time.

What a great place. I was visiting my Daughter in Phoenix and they took me here. Definitely the best Pizza I've ever had. You'll love this place.

I did their curbside pickup on a Saturday night around 10pm. I was craving a pizza with a particular type of crust and Mellow Mushrooms pizzas nailed it. It was soft, but crispy and chewy, which was what I was looking for. Having not been here before, I wasn't sure what to expect, but luckily it was exactly what I wanted. The outdoor patio vibes seemed pretty cool. I would come back for sure.

I love this place, I've been to three in AZ and one in Columbus Georgia. The atmosphere is super chill and the staff is too. Food is always delicious and taste like high quality. Never had to wait too long or try to flag down a server. My one complaint? The pretzels and pretzel bites aren't pretzels, they're pizza dough BUT they're still amazing with the beer cheese.

I was hungry today for lunch but couldn't decide what to eat. I stopped in to the Mellow Mushroom on Happy Valley Road and I'm certainly glad I did! The service was great,, the staff was very friendly,, the pizza was delicious. It was served piping hot with lots of melted cheese ( I ordered a little extra cuz I'm a sucker for melted cheese)!! They serve salads and burgers too. They have a great bar there and pour 35 different kinds of beer on tap! Outdoor patio too. If you've got a hankering for some good pizza and an ice cold beer, give it a try!

Had a delightful experience here with the family last Monday. Joe was a wonderful young man and took care of all our needs during our visit. Mellow mushroom has an amazing good menu, great brews, and tantalizing apps and deserts. I always tend to over eat because I simply can’t decide on one menu item.Props to Joe on his beverage suggestions. I don’t recall which beer I purchased, but it was definitely a great pic. 10 out of 10 I definitely recommend

Great new (to us) pizza place! Great tastes that are over the top! We had a pizza that had jerk chicken, pineapple, banana peppers and mozzarella with bacon - wow! Or I should say Maui Wowie!! Definitely recommend!!!

One pan of pizza took 25 min to come out (and the 3 tables next to us). The piz,a is good over all except everything was a bit too salty. My kids wouldn't eat it because it was so salty they just kept drinking water. Service was okay too.

Was happy to go and dine in at this Mellow Mushroom. Everything after being seated went downhill. A wrong beer was brought to our table. The waiter left dining room. Had to take beer to bartender and ask for correct one. When our waiter finally came back to answer menu questions, he didn't know the answers and didn't offer to go ask. So we ordered less items than we wanted. Food was ok. Service lacked.

What can I say about the absolute BEST pizza in N. Phoenix. This place has great food, employees who go beyond what you would usually expect and go the extra mile to assure your dinning experience is excellent. I love the restaurant and the reverse happy hour. @10pm is the cheapest in North Phoenix. 5 Stars all the way

Thursday evening with family… not too busy. Got a table asap. Ordered 🥨 bites, 🍕, hot wings and cocktails. I really enjoyed the baked wings. Being baked really made the meat fall off the bones. Yum! 😋 The pizza wasn’t a favorite. Nothing wrong with it, just not my style. Chewy crust like a pretzel… I’d go back for the wings.

Two pies, four drinks and two appetizers. Roughing $95. The food was great the service was good. The aura and ambiance of the location has a nice vibe.

Happy hour here is a great deal. Half off select appetizers and drinks. Both of my cocktails were great and I like that they had some mocktails for people so those that don't drink can enjoy everything as well. I think our servers name was Ramon and he was equally as awesome. He was so kind and very helpful. If I had one thing to "complain" about I'd have to say I wish that the appetizers had more variety. While they were all tasty they were also just a variation of cheese and bread.

It's one of my all-time favorite pizza places! They have the greatest tasting dough with great topping combos. They've also got sandwiches and more. The beer selection is outstanding, they stock a lot of great beers.

Groupon had a sale, and I had been wanting to try it. Pizza was fantastic, wings were good, but all so expensive. One kid got the Mac and cheese, the other a small salad. Took 10 mins to get straws and another 15 mins to get a fork for the salad.

This is a good food place. The staff is kind but busy, so it takes a bit on a crowded day. So make sure to bring your conversation. The calzones are where it's at, partly because the dough is scrumptious. The pizza is killer too and you won't regret stopping in and grabbing a bite.

The food was great and had great flavor. Atmosphere is calm yet fun. Service was great too! Our waiter was just a bit behind on stuff or perhaps doing many things at once. I ended up with a full order of wings when I only wanted half. Truly he was amazing though!
