Headed
to
Phoenix
today
for
a
show,
and
decided
to
hit
Chico
Malos
for
a
late
lunch
before
and
best
choice
ever!
First
let's
talk
about
customer
service.
Driving
from
Tucson
we
hit
two
different
traffic
jams,
called
and
let
them
know
we
would
be
about
15
minutes
late.
The
young
lady
that
answered
the
phone
was
polite
and
assured
us
it
would
not
be
a
problem.
Turns
out
we
were
38
minutes
late
but
we
were
still
greeted
with
a
kind
smile
and
empathy
from
the
hostess.
That
was
refreshing,
made
us
feel
right
at
ease
even
being
late.
Now
right
to
the
drinks,
the
Chico
Verde
is
a
house
specialty
and
my
wife,
who
is
a
lover
of
all
libations
said
this
was
extraordinary!
So
of
course
I
sampled
it
and
wow
it
was
good.
Ordered
the
house
guacamole
traditionál,
queso
fondido
and
while
both
were
tasty
and
filling
the
guac
is
without
a
doubt
my
absolute
favorite.
The
flavors
meet
each
other
perfectly
and
the
added
pomegranate...
It's
rare
to
find
an
appetizer
that
qualifies
as
a
delicious
work
of
art,
and
it
does!
The
queso
fundido
with
chorizo
is
perfectly
delivered
hot
enough
to
immediately
place
on
the
provided
fresh
tortillas
but
not
so
hot
that
it
burns
your
mouth...
Been
there
done
that...
Advice
for
the
hungry...
Ask
for
an
additional
order
of
tortillas
immediately
because
they
and
the
queso
are
a
match
made
in
heaven.
Take
a
risk
and
dip
it
in
the
guac....
now
we
did
decide
to
share
an
entree
and
the
prime
rib
with
the
chorizo
mashed
made
a
fat
man
once
again
believe
that
there
are
food
gods
out
there
working
in
the
shadows,
keeping
great
food
in
style...
Our
server,
Eric
was
attentive
and
his
check
back
was
on
point.
The
entire
staff
was
friendly,
the
restrooms
immaculate,
as
we
both
went
after
the
long
ride
and
to
wash
our
hands.
Top
to
bottom
Chico
Malo
is
legit
and
we
will
be
back
and
they
are
5
stars
even
at
lunch!!
