This has become mu favorite bar/ tavern. The drinks are very reasonable priced. And they have cheese curd not like the ones you get all over the valley. These ones reminded me of my time in Wisconsin. Nice crispy crunchy coating warm melty cheese on the inside. And then wings are great too. Definitely will be back to try other things on the menu

Really great place. Good atmosphere. Food was great in general. But good for bar food. Too good for bar food. The loaded nachos easily can feed two people. The BBQ sliders have good Smokey flavor. The potato salad has to be homemade. Fresh dill and a huge kick. The waiter and waitress were very nice and helpful. Drinks are fresh and yummy. I will for sure come back to this place. The decorations and ambiance are refreshing. The music was good. But not too loud you cannot hear anything anymore.

This is a super interesting place. Great if you don't care what your drinks and food taste like and care more about how loud the music is and how goofy the decor is. In all seriousness, they play some decent music and have some beverages that are drinkable. The service has not been good in the 3 times I have been there. The decor is hella goofy, but in a weirdly good way. The location is pretty decent too.

Cool back bar with a great menu of bar food. Fried pickles, wings, tenderloin sandwiches great burgers. Good pours on affordable drinks and some large tables. Right off 7th st at the canal. How can you beat alcohol infused ice cream and slushees? One of my favorite bars in central Phoenix. Dart board, bumper pool table hockey and pinball games to have fun with while the drinks go down. Late night kitchen for some ballast before heading home.

Great bartenders! Most attentive service we’ve experienced in a long time! They actually, genuinely, seem happy to be working and happy you are there! It was also nice to hear a football game on speakers rather than music during an ASU game! Finally, an actual ASU bar in Arizona!!

One of my absolute favorite dive bars to go to in Phoenix!!!! If ever in the area, make sure to ask for Brandon, the GM. Such a cool guy! He definitely knows how to make you feel welcome! And as if you are a long time friend. He also makes the best Old Fashioned in town. No joke! I’m super picky about that drink. The food is great! Try the green Chile quesadilla or their buffalo chicken salad. Super yum! We come back time and time again because it’s such a down to earth vibe and we love our bartenders there!!!!! You can’t miss the building with the all year round Christmas lights on the outside! Enjoy!

Yep.. it's the perfect neighborhood watering hole with lots of TV's, Christmas lights and good pub food. Burgers and wings were just what we needed today. And the onion rings were spot on. Big LEO supporters based on the patches behind the bar. Our kind of place. Awesome to have Kim today as our server. Never was without a cold beer the whole day.

We absolutely love McKenzies! Great service! Great food! Great atmosphere! We feel like home when we pop in for a drink or two and a round of bumper pool. Would recommend to anyone who loves a good time. Their selection of bourbon is great, the boozy ice cream is fantastic, and the home made recipe of Apple Pie shots are a must to try! Ask for Sidney or Dave when you visit and you’ll have a blast!

Great customer service, super quick on getting us seated & ready to order! Bar Food is until midnight I believe. Delicious fries & chicharrones & drinks! Love the environment! So nicely decorated & clean! Recommend coming here for a chill fun night! It’s like Christmas everyday with the lights decor! Love it!

Truth be told, I was skeptical when we entered. I wasn't expecting more of a bar, and I was hungry! All the servers were fun and friendly. And the food! The four of us said the meals were terrific. I had a quesadilla with green chili pulled pork, and I loved it. And I'm picky about green chili pulled pork.🙂 We'll go back! It was fun and a great time was had by all.

McKenzie's is the greatest bar of all time. The staff are incredible, the food is fresh and delicious, and the environment is one of a kind. They have amazing daily specials that are written on a chalk board, and some of my favorites include the tacos and wings. I recommend this place to anyone.

I love the ambience. The decor is cool from license plates to a hockey table. Images of Bob and Doug McKenzie (not name sake) along with nice lighting, bumper pool a good amount of seating. They have a nice little bar menu, good drinks and one of these days we're gonna try that live karaoke! A great find.

Typical bar experience. Service is great and very friendly. Food is bar food, big portions. Cool collection of antiques on the walls. I was there for Pre-party for a Brophy football game. It was crowded and loud. I am sure it is better on an average day so if you are looking for this type of place it's worth a try.

Loved the place!! It is as advertised a dice bar in midtown. Great place to watch the game or just hang with friends. I ordered the Midwestern Molly and it was good. Imo needed a sauce but it was good. It was a big portion on a pretzel roll with fries (pic is horrible sorry). The fellas loved the place and we will stop back to kill time forsure. This place could be from any small town America and its here in Phoenix to enjoy! Thanks for a good couple hrs after having a day!

A fun neighborhood bar to get food and drinks. We met up as a group and even though we forgot to reserve a large table for our party they were able to work with us. The green chili pork tachos are not on the current menu but if you ask they still serve them. (Nachos but with Tater Tots.)

I've driven past this place for years and really regret not having gone in sooner. I've been twice since and the service is always some of the best I've ever had, the drinks are good, as are their prices, and the vibe is super laid back and fun. It's also right off the canal, once it cools down I will for sure be biking here too.

Nice local place, good drinks and reasonable prices. Good amount of local beers on tap and in bottles. My only complaint is the menu advertised JUMBO wings and in reality they were normal and or small. We had draft beers and tried the Espresso Martinti shots and the Apple Pie shots, both very good for the price.

DEFINITELY a No Go for anyone exercising on the trail. I was 2 feet away from the bathroom door when weird staff didn't even have enough service experience/ courtesy to introduce themselves or say anything beyond demanding my ID wich felt very weird and honestly like it had more to do with me looking homeless from jogging and not anything to do with an ID since It wasn't requested at the door like every other actual bar on this street, I just wanted to use the bathroom and buy a water or soda but He refused to say anything beyond demanding my ID. All and all the places is cute and may require ID but from someone who works in Customer service the staff communication was terrible No matter the situation.

Don't let the outside fool you! This is a fun, hidden gem! Love the funky decor, and the food was great! The Green Chile Pork on the nachos was excellent. This was my second time here and will definitely return.

Locally owned establishment with an urban street light feel. Fantastic location to watch sports as the food, drink, service, and atmosphere is warm, wholesome, and fun. The environment was clean, with a decent amount of parking. Make sure you show up early as McKenzie's tends to fill up rather quickly. Cheers and go DBacks!

The place is good, didn't have a great experience because the waitress had a attitude I'm from far out of town i order a drink that I like and I catch an attitude right off. I tried my best to lighten up the situation but she didn't serve well her attitude wasn't changing. I did tip well anyway maybe that would bless her.

We hadn’t been here since before the plague, pleasantly surprised with the changes. Great neighborhood bar with mostly friendly bartenders. We’ve been 3 times in the last month or so, 2 of those visits were excellent- 1 had a little opportunity on the service side - bartender seemed disinterested in making sure we were not waiting and we had to flag him each time we wanted to order. Food is great bar food. Vibe is relaxed and friendly.

My best friend and I come here once a month for music bingo that they host on Wednesday’s. Staff is always friendly and amazing. Food is always tasty. Drinks are always made just right! McKenzies is a small bar with a cool atmosphere on the inside! Always see smiling faces. 10/10 recommend! Never had a place be so consistently wonderful. 💯😎🎉

Holy best pretzels EVER. It is absolutely sooo beautiful with all the lights inside! Such an amazing atmosphere and no harsh lights! Such a diverse and large food/drink menu! Their shots are really good priced and a lot of fun options! The person who was doing table service made the night 20x better! So nice and friendly and really seemed like he enjoys what he does! Overall, will come again!

I went in after a long day of feeling down and dealing with several losses this month. It was December 24th. The bar that I normally visit is shut down. The staff there helped me get back into the moment. The drinks were excellent. The crowd was Lively but not rambunctious. And the fries were on point. I wish the Ruben had thinly sliced meat and an option for double protein, but overall it had an excellent taste. If you're the type of person that likes a chill and well lit atmosphere, this is the place for you.

This place is pretty cool! Great atmosphere. Great staff and a heavy pour on your mixed drinks. The food was fast and full of flavor. Lots of TVs to watch your favorite team play. We had the pork sliders, they were great. We will definitely be back.

During the football game, I arrived to join some friends. The host and server service was friendly, and the food was flavorful. I had the Reuben which had crispy fries that were seasoned well and one pint of beer. ... about $30, including tip. It's ideal to arrive and off hours so that you easily find parking in the small lot, but there is also street parking up into the neighborhood. I would recommend a visit, during times when it's not so busy. That way, you'll get a little more attentive service if you want more than one beverage.

I don't mind dive bars & this bar certainly did not disappoint, the service was very impressed we had a group of 5 then ended up with 7 people at our table & our glasses were never empty.

LOVE this place! Gets busy but not so overly crowded that you cant breathe, the atmosphere is fun and super chill, great food and drinks and people!

First time visit was both good and bad. The atmosphere was great to watch sporting events or just hang with friends. The service that was provided to us on a busy Sunday was outstanding! Now comes the bad. Our table ordered off the menu (not the QR code menu) and we decided on 2lbs of bone-in wings. To my dismay when they were delivered to the table there were only 8 wings (4 drums 4 flats). Unless you are willing to spend $2.25 per wing ($17 for 8 wings) I would order something else from the menu. Apparently there was a menu change from the real menu to the QR code menu that our table was unaware of. Last I checked there was no shortage on wings. To be charging this price is insane! I had a great discussion with the bar manager who spoke with the owner who was not onsite and McKenzie’s stood tall and took the wings off the bill. The wings were good, just not worth the $2.25 per wing they were charging. Would visit again!

Love this spot, we go because it's more for an older crowd and groups and couples really and the place is more for the locals around there, so we love it its rite by us..

Love love love this spot! Great frozen drinks and happy hour food. Prices are probably some of the best in town. The chicken tenders were fire! I love this place as a local hangout. They are usually busy every night. The lights and decor make it a great atmosphere, eclectic and welcoming to all!

We had take out. The food was top notch! I had the bacon burger. We also had the dry heat burger, wow, if you love heat this is the burger for you. Highly recommend. They do not disappoint!!!

Been here quite a few times since it has opened. My girlfriend and I always loving dropping by for some lunch and drinks. Prices are awesome and everyone is friendly. Food is good and they got drink specials all the time. Diverse crowd most of the time and the dark inside gets you out if this hot sun. Very personable place.

The wings are BOMB!! I like to consider myself an amateur wing connoisseur and these jumbo wings were impressive. I drove from the east valley and I'm lucky this place isn't local because I would probably be broke and drunk 100% of the time. The drink specials are cheap, like under $4 cheap. They serve my favorite beer on tap (Hazy little thing) which I never find anywhere else. The waitresses are super friendly and chatty. We stayed for the musical bingo and OMG I won! "One hit wonders" are my jam! There was an obnoxious drunky at the bar causing a scene but he seemed to be a regular because no one seemed to mind. The bar has an awesome theme and really wish it was in Chandler because I haven't made it back since the 1 time I went and it's bumming me out. If your on the fence about going or not, go!!!!

Went to McKenzies for the first time on Monday night. We had the wings, bbq pork sliders and tots. Everything was delicious! My friend wanted the sliders...bbq is not really my thing. But they were yummy! And the bartenders were on point.
