Returned from Miami recently were I had Cuban food for the first time and LOVED it. Couldn’t find a Cuban place in AZ until this place. Food tasted good and pretty close to the food in Miami. Definitely will continue coming here.

We've checked out several different Cuban establishments so we were really looking forward to coming here. We ordered several appetizers to try out. Papas Rellenas, Ham Croquettes and Yuca Frita. Papas were ok, they were pretty big in size but meat needed a little more seasoning but they weren't bad. The Croquettes I'm not sure what they were but they sure did not taste like Ham Croquettes I'll tell you that. The yuca frita was good with the garlic dipping sauce they gave us. Ok so for main dishes my sister got the Ropa Vieja and I tried the Cuban Sandwich. Nope just no. The Cuban was a decent size but it was not pressed it was toasted. Everything inside was cold, cheese was not melted and there was very little pork inside the sandwich. My sister didn't like her plate either, she kept tasting that all night. We were really disappointed with this spot.

What a great find. We love Cuban food and were looking all over Phoenix for a good place. This restaurant is simple and clean, with friendly service and the incredible food! Great selection of desserts as well. The Cuban sandwich was the best!!

I love this place, I always come here to eat the Cuban Sandwich. The portions are huge for the price you pay and taste even better! I even moved nearby to be closer to work and they always have the best food and nicest servers. Thank you Cuban Foods! I finally remembered to take a picture before eating everything!

The servers were very nice but the food was way too greasy. I ordered a steak which came with rice and my brother ordered a breaded steak and rice. It was in a puddle of grease and did not look or taste fresh. I do not recommend. I am going to the Cubanitas Kitchen. Hoping for better quality.

Over the last few years I’ve developed a love for a good Cubano sandwich. Recently, one of the restaurants that had the best one I’d ever had sadly closed. I happened to be in the same area as Cuban Foods and decided to stop by. The door had a cash only sign but fortunately an ATM was right around the corner. I ordered the Cubano and the plantain chips with garlic sauce. The Cubano is ENORMOUS. As you can see, it took up the entire to go box which made two meals for me. This sandwich was definitely worth the price! The fries were thin and well seasoned. I love that it was grilled and the flavor was delightful. The plantain chips were crunchy and tasted exactly like the ones I had previously that I was so missing. The garlic sauce was more of an oil with garlic chunks which isn’t what I was expecting but it was really good! They also have a pastry display case with many delicious looking desserts. Unfortunately, I don’t live very close to here but the next time I’m close by, I’ll definitely be back. Thank you for the delicious food and the very friendly service!

Place was really good! So was the service. Very hospitable. We had the tostones rellenos, lechon asado, and the Cuban sandwich. Tired it off with a cafe con leche and flan. Delicious. Definitely be back🤤

I ordered the beef tostones rellenos - these were excellent! I ordered bistec uraguayo this came out overcooked and maybe the grease needed to be changed. It wasn't golden like on the picture. The meat lacked flavor both in the meat and the beans. I also ordered a seniority this dresser was light but tasty. I wish it had more vanilla intensity and possibly more custard but was good overall. The waitress asked what I thought about the food. I notified her the bistec uraguayo wasn't good and there was no resolution or ask for how to fix it. She just said you'll still have to pay. I was praying this would all be good to lend to me ordering something to go but I was let down in the normally rich flavors I was normally a custom to in Cuban food in Florida and back home. I won't return to try this again.

I love Cuban food and they do it well!!! This place made me feel like I was back in Miami!! We just popped in mid afternoon for Cafe con Leche, tostones and Guava con queso. This is worth your time to check them out for taste of Cuban food in Arizona. Let me know what you think!

I believe this is the tastiest Cuban sandwich in the West Valley. I hate to admit that this is the only item I ever ordered, but is so delicious! Recently, they expanded the floor space from a tiny bakery into a much larger restaurant. I would love it more if the dining had a deeper feel or atmosphere of Cuba. But I also realize its a strange time for sit down restaurants and everything costs money. The prices are very reasonable and it feels like a lot of food. I eat here at least twice per month and have never had a bad experience.

Come here every week just for the coffee (Cafe Cubano). Food is delicious and comes in large servings. The sweet plantains, grilled fish with Cuban rice are delicious. Family diner atmosphere - no bar, but that is ok because the food makes up for it. Head’s up, If you plan on trying out the paella, you need to call an hour ahead of your arrival, and deserts run out fast. Genuine service, but can be a little slow when it gets busy. Overall, this is a local favorite for a reason!

Love this place!! Every time I've been, the food is delicious and the people are super nice. The Cuban sandwich is amazing! For appetizers, the beef tostones and the ham croquettes are both equally delicious. I can't decide on my favorite item because it's all great!!

I am just glad this place is clear across town. I would eat here every day. The food was fantastic and the staff was great. I look forward to my next trip.

The food is very authentic and cooked to perfection (believe me, I am a Karen when it comes to restaurant food … I believe … if I pay for it, I want it cooked to perfection … it’s my $). Started eating here 2 months ago; it is now our weekly Friday night dinner … tamales are great and they go fast; good thing is, you can always order some tamales for pick-up.

The food is not good. I tried to eat this food but myself and two others said this food is very unseasoned. I would not go back here. Also the restaurant is located in a not so great part of town. To top it off the floor was incredibly slippery. I thought I was going to fall it was like there was grease on the floor. The food was so bad I canceled my to go order and decided against dessert. I was scared to waste anymore money here. The servers were nice and the Malta and condensed milk was the best thing we had. I really wanted to like this place but the empanadas, papas rellenos, plantains were bland. We had 5 dishes total and they were all bland. And how do you offer pork and its not ready until 7pm?

The food here is amazing! I had to ropa vieja and it was so tasty. We also got the mix salad and it was al light and refreshing. Service is great. I highly recommend.

I will rate this place a 3 start. First the staff was friendly and the order was correct. My only complaint was that the cubano sandwich was lacking taste. The pickle seemed to be sparse and the mustard was hardly there. The portion was larger than expected. I drove across town to try this place out as I really like cuban sandwiches but I just found the sandwich lacking taste for me. I ordered two and both were the same. The first part of this review was from 2 years ago so I figured I would give this place another crack. Nope still not any better than before and I really like Cuban sandwiches. Fries very sparse from the picture. Have lived in south Florida and this just doesn’t compare. Sorry.

Ana, the owner, is hands down one of the best business owners and kindest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting! My fiancé, who’s from Spain and spent many years in Cuba, absolutely LOVES this place! The food is incredible and we can say from experience (eating at many Cuban restaurants across the country) that this is the most authentic Cuban cuisine outside of Cuba itself. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

It’s a gem in the valley! Not too many Cuban restaurants to choose from so this is special. A great Cuban Café! Decent prices, nice portions, and decent food if you know what you're ordering. The service is prompt. They also are completely "to go" which I don’t mind at all, simply because of, we’ll... COVID. Cars come and go every 2 seconds to this location and I’m not sure why I haven’t been here sooner. We tried papas rellanas, flan, yuca frita and more. The cortadito (hot espresso) is poured into the cup, sugar melts and the delicious drink is formed which only my mother in law has perfected in my eyes but this is a very close second. I would absolutely drive 40 minutes again to eat here to experience this Cuban deliciousness.

We LOVED everything we ordered. The portions are huge. The Cuban sandwich was probably the best ive ever had. The stuffed potatoes ball things and the green plantain cups stuffed with beef were amazing! Service was great!. The restaurant was clean and decorated so pretty with the art on the walls.
