I really wanted to like this place, it's close to work with a variety of salad and sandwich options, but after three tries, I'll go somewhere else. Each time over ordered food, something has been wrong and each time, I've waited a few months go back, hoping it was just a rare occurrence. Today I ordered a custom salad, no meat, and order the standard 4 included veggies with one premium veggie (avocado). For $8.69 I paid for a generous helping of lettuce and chickpea portions, 4 cherry tomatoes, a small handful of cucumbers and three slices of bad avocado, which was $1.25 extra.

If you are African-American, do not go to this place! They will poison/tamper with your food and make you sick! They did it to me! I was sick for a week after eating there which was the last straw for me! I know for a fact they tampered with my food because I have never gotten food poisoning or sick but the last time I ate their food, later on that evening I vomited and was sick for a week straight! Mind you, I was a regular however I noticed the customer service decreased and other subtle actions that I paid attention to until the last straw which was them poisoning/tampering with my food and making me sick! Anytime I would order online to pick up lunch to avoid waiting to get my food, my food was never ready when I would come to pick it up. In fact, they would not even start on my food until I got there to pick it up which defeated the purpose of me ordering online. Anytime I would pay with my card, the manager wouldn't hand me my card even if my hand was out to get it back, she would just place it down on the counter. Very passive aggressive! Avoid getting your food tampered with and getting sick, do not eat from this place!

This is in response to the review placed around 3 months ago by a user named R, claiming her food was deliberately poisoned because of her skin color. Absolutely ridiculous false claim. I worked at spoons during that time and the friendliest conversations i witnessed between the managers and customers were with people of color. Around 25% of the regulars are African American. I would not have stood for any signs of discrimination or racism. This is a person who ordered online after being told the system was down. They now assume their sickness is from spoonz even though R eats at about 2 restaurants every day. It's pathetic how lies about racism and claims of tampering are this persons way of complaining about their own shortcomings. You know who you are R, and you know you are completely lying. If the manager was black, I'm sure your comment would be different. Stop spreading racism.

Best quiche on the planet - I promise you! Very kind and super friendly staff Service is often a bit slow when patrons can't make up their mind on what to order. They really need more than one order-taker up front to speed things up. I watched a few people walk in then out because of the Long line So many things on the menu that maybe that's why it takes people so long to order. Nice outdoor patio with beautiful mural near-by. BTW - puppers loved the doggie treats (4H fundraiser).

Way over priced!!! 10.50 $ For a bagel with avocado and turkey ! I can buy a weeks worth of bagels and avocado for that price . Workers seem very unhappy to work there as well

Had 2 different pastries from here and both tasted stale and not mixed properly. Too overpriced to not be good. Will not be going again. The cookies were ok.

Best breakfast and coffee shop in downtown Phoenix! I've worked downtown on occasion for years and spoonz has always been the best. Awesome breakfast sandwich on whatever kind of bagel you'd like. Great coffee and hot beverages too. Friendly efficient workers as well

Chicken and green chile quiche was small but good. There is Wi-Fi here for working. An unimpressive place in general.

Cute place with limited indoor seating, patio seating available too. Menu is extensive and a little tough to see on the monitors over the counter. Ordered veggie quiche and medium coffee (generously sized). Gentleman I ordered from was thoughtful enough to ask if I needed room for cream. Quiche was dumped into a paper boat and heated up, despite its appearance, it was very tasty. Nice spot for a quick bite.

Got a strawberry cupcake that did not taste like strawberry, more like plain, no flavor and it was very dry. Won't do that again.

The food is tasty especially the sweet potatoes fries, the only downside is that the menu is pricey.

It's ok. Their food is fine and it's very small but WAY over priced for what it is.

It's tucked away in a small corner of a large building, but the taste of the food is anything but small. I recommend the breakfast bagels and the quiche. Delish!

The best Quiche ever! Veggie or Meat, you can't go wrong. Pair it with you freshly crafted coffee drink, and you are ready to start your day off on the right foot! Join their rewards program and get good specials often!

This is my third visit to this restaurant, and I've always been pleased with the service. The service was exceptional; it was polite, informative, and competent. The team had sincere empathy for us. They were both very polite and courteous. Thank you so much! Your restaurant should be highly regarded! Congratulations on your success!

Stopped in here for breakfast when walking through the neighborhood. It has a charming neighborhood cafe vibe and the lady behind the counter was very kind and welcoming. The food was delicious, affordable, and ready fast. A lovely place all around. Great breakfast burrito 🌯

Last weekend, I was invited to this cafeteria by a friend who was celebrating her birthday. When I first arrived, I noticed the foods in the corner, and just looking at them made my stomach growl. So the first thing I order is their Fried Chicken, which is absolutely delectable! It was also an excellent and noteworthy facility!

Loved this little place! Lattes were excellent and so were our bagel sandwiches! If we lived here, this would be a local favorite. Counter staff is super friendly.

Got carry out today for the first time. Sandwich was basic but good, overpriced for what it was. The house chips were good but cold and not fresh, some were stale tasting. Chipotle sauce was interesting and good for dipping. Wouldn't go out of my way to come back but might return if I was in the area.

Awesome little place, food was great. Fast and friendly service. The carrot cake was really good. I also tried the Strawberry/Banana smoothie with yogurt, awesome.

Their paninis are fantastic. I had the Portabella Panini which was full of flavor and the mushrooms were cooked just right. The combination of sauces made the sandwich 5/5. Upon picking up my order their fryer was broken, so instead of getting fries I was able to substitute for two of their homemade cookies instead. The peanut butter cookie was delicious.

I love this place. Somehow they avoid acceding to the idea that everyplace downtown has to cost 2x - 3x as much as it really should. Though this last time I splurged and added salmon to my salad, but it was totally worth it.

This is our favorite place in downtown Phoenix. They have the best coffee in town, as well as great salads and sandwiches. Just wish they were opened weekends!

SpoonZ is an excellent choice if you're looking for something quick and delicious. While the 1st Avenue location is cozy and charming, the new Collier Center location (walking distance to Chase Field) stretches out to many tables and an outdoor sitting area. The food selection is monstrous with a variety of salad selections or you can design your own leafy creation. The sandwiches are superb and do order a side of the homemade potato chips. They're to die for. They also have a bevy of smoothies, cafe breakfast beverages and pastries to choose. Give it a go. You won't be disappointed!

Very good food. A little on the pricey side but for Downtown Phoenix, it's about on par though. Great selection of sandwiches, wraps and beverages. Totally recommend.

I adore Spoonz for so many reasons. First, the staff are awesome, making an effort to learn the names of recurring customers. I'm a business traveler and don't even live in Phoenix but get greeted by name when I walk in. Second, the prices are reasonable and the baked goods, including the bagels are great. I enjoy their chai lattes and bagel sandwiches! Third, their rewards program pays off really quickly. One down side is they don't offer tip via credit card, but I love it so much anyway, I just bring cash tip.

Always great food and great people. I go there every Wednesday and get a chicken Caesar salad. It's delicious. I look forward to it each week.

Nice selection of sandwiches, salads, soups and desserts. I was very happy with my Scottsdale Panini and Tomato bisque soup. Reasonably priced for downtown. I also tried the breakfast burrito. It's $3.35 (I believe before tax). It only has scrambled eggs, green peppers, onions, cheese and salsa . Skip it! It's not the worse but you can certainly make a better burrito at home.

The first time: Went for a quick breakfast as I work up the street. The staff was great and bagel sandwich was delicious! The second time: the customer service was lacking. The woman taking my order was rude and the sandwich was so so. On one experience, 5/5. Based on two, 3/5.

Had the salmon wrap from here the other day and it was fresh and delicious. Wait time was short, but I must warn that there aren't many spaces to sit. Best to get to-go. I believe you can order ahead! The dill pickle was a great bonus. Will be back to try more on the menu! Did I mention that it's affordable? Woowee, some places downtown want to make you broke!
