What a wonderful experience! They were able to accommodate our party of 8 and weren't picky about all of us being there at once or right one time. (Like most places do these days) The evening flowed so nicely. It does take some time for things to get to the table, but highly recommend going to just enjoy the environment and food with plenty of time and ease. The waitress was so thoughtful, even before finding out we were there for my birthday. Once she did, I felt the special attention even more! She gave me a great recommendation, and offered that if I wasn't perfectly satisfied that she would help me find the perfect dish. I was so pleased, and the food was next level!

Had a great time for Father's day. food was great, a little bit to salty. quantity was more than enough, service is very good, plenty of staff but not invasive. dessert was excellent. it was my first time with Pappadeaux and i liked it. everything was clean, i feel tables were a little too close to one another but seing how popular this place is, can't really blame them

It was Saturday night and busy. People waiting for tables which typical for busy sat. I had never been at this establishment and was able to get a seat at the bar rather than wait for table. Bar full service and I was greeted with a smile. I ordered my drinks which the bartender was very knowledgeable when ask question on drinks. Order appetizers oysters and shrimp. Delicious clean tasting no fishy smells. My Dinner was so rich and decadent, pasta had shrimp crab chunks and scallops. I wish I remember the name of the entree but never the less the experience was Well worth the price. I will definitely be returning!

Well - good place for birthdays and celebrations. The staff members are super friendly and go out of their way to make sure things are good. Lunch menu ends at 3 - which I prefer for the meal portion and price. Most entrees can be shared the portions are a good size.

This is our special place for special days. It’s a beautiful place that serves the best seafood. They give a generous military discount and a free desert to those celebrating a birthday. The dishes are delicious and they serve huge amounts of food. My favorite are the fried shrimps and Gumbo soup. The employees are very personable and professional. You will not be disappointed. It’s best to make reservations.

Beautiful restaurant with upscale decor. The water feature in the front garden area is a nice introduction to a wonderful dining experience. Service was very good. The food exceeded my expectations. The flavor and presentation are both top notch. Very good variety of menu items when it comes to food and drinks. Highly recommended restaurant for special occasions or an intimate dinner. I will definitely be back to enjoy another meal.

The waiter was absolutely amazing. Very attentive to us and answered all of our questions. I had the aged ribeye steak(medium rare) and a loaded baked potato. The steak pretty much melted in mouth it was so good. The food was absolutely delicious. The prices are pretty high but I think it is worth it to treat yourself every once in a while. I would definitely go again in the future.

Every Pappadeaux restaurant in the country is great. This is another great one. The ambiance is really cool, the service is great and the food is outstanding. This restaurant is a notch above, everything on the menu tastes great. Try the boudin sausage or alligator bites. The red fish Pontchartrain is good too. Tonight I had the sea bass and lobster. Finished up with one of the best and biggest slices if cheesecake ever. Two big thumbs up for Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen!

I don't think I'm telling any secrets when I say this is a Louisiana Seafood restaurant in Arizona. It offers a decent selection of creole and seafood staples and it does it above average. I am gonna put the best part up front here - The Oven Baked Crab Cake was absolutely the best crab cake I've ever had. It has to be the best thing on the menu, and if you order nothing else, this would be the thing to get. It is massive and could be a meal itself, or you could split it up with friends, but you won't want too. It was moist and savory, but baked just enough to enjoy the crunch first. The shrimp and grits were good, but a bit salty for our liking, and the seafood platter had generous portions and could be shared by two people easily. But neither plate was anything different than what you would expect from an upscale chain restaurant. We almost didn't receive the crab cake because the waitress forgot to ring it in, but when the meals arrived and we saw how big they were, we said to just forget it because there was no way we could eat it all. I am glad she ignored us and brought it anyway because I ended up finishing that whole thing and leaving some of the catfish and french fries behind instead. We had a couple of the new summery type drinks as well, and while they weren't bad, they didn't take any risks either. Just a sweet drink that masked the alcohol and tasted alright. Also, this restaurant might be one of the largest I have ever been to. It had to have over 150 tables in it. That in and of itself was quite a sight. I also recommend making a reservation if coming here because during busy hours, you will most likely wait if you do not have one. Overall, a good experience. I like to try new places, so it's likely I wouldn't come back here for a full meal with my girl again, but I would sneak here on a lunch break to eat the crab cake once a week without thinking twice.

We arrived about an hour before they closed. They were very attentive and immediately sat us down. We were then approached by a server. The menu is a little on the pricier side given the food quality. They advertise filet mignon, however it doesn’t seem to be that cut of meat. The meat was very chewy, and rubbery. The vegetables were a little over seasoned. The baked potato was giant and delicious.

-Beautiful restaurant 50/50 on how friendly the staff was. - overall a very loud -Hate that they didn't display any non alcoholic drinks on their menu (ie soda, lemonade etc) -Good seafood variety -Price per plate...Way over priced! -Peach Lemonade was honestly the star of the meal. Really delicious and steady refills.

Atmosphere is always amazing no matter what season or time of day I visit. I didn't capture my meal this visit but it was very tasty. I ordered seafood gumbo with 🦀 crab and 🦐 shrimp. Didn't realize okra was inside so I just moved that away. My side salad was a bit salty which was rare..usually, my meals are perfect. My server seemed super rushed today, although it was a light lunch crowd. Even my dining companion noted how she seemed a bit over eager to get our orders and have us leave. Nevertheless, the meal was good, and overall service was decent.

Seafood, Seafood, Seafood! This place is family owned out of Texas! This is my friend’s favorite place so we celebrated her birthday here🎉 Taylor, one of the managers on today was so kind to make my friend’s birthday special🥂👏👏 My friend absolutely loved her meal (Mississippi Catfish and Shrimp Étouffée) and mine was pretty good as well. I appreciate that they were willing to sub extra Shrimp for the salmon on my Seafood Kabob!👏 The bread served isn’t very good. It’s very crumbly and dry! Too bad because everything else is pretty good! They certainly could use an update to the restaurant. The ambience is drab and dull, kinda like a big cafeteria. But the service and food are good. Location not great—getting in/out of this place isn’t so easy! And navigating through the long walkway through their outdoor gardens to get to the entrance is like—WOW!

Absolutely delicious and great service. Can't wait to go back. Everything was cooked to perfection except my shrimp which was over cooked, so I politely told my waitress which immediately took care of me with a fresh order that was cooked perfectly. So happy we tried pappadeaux. Well worth it.

The first time we came to eat in at this location was impressive initially, (in the pic was from my birthday) but the second time was a total disappointment. Took my kids here for Father’s Day and birthday again while in town, we waited about 1 hr before we got seated outdoor. The quality of food and presentation and customer service were extremely poor and disappointing!! Our total bill came up to about $200 + tips!! I’m not gonna waste my time and money again at this pricey restaurant!!

I've been to Pappadeaux in New Mexico and fell in love with the fried catfish. It was the same in Phoenix. Crispy, tender, not greasy. The staff was thoughtful and had fun with us. Everyone on staff wore masks. Tables were set for proper distancing. Worth the drive from east Mesa. Now my mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Absolutely wonderful! I ordered the espresso martini and the shrimp alfredo. They use the best ingredients. Real coffee, homemade pasta, seasoning on the shrimp was phenomenal. The Real cheese used just makes this dish so spectacular. I will be coming back! The service was top notch and extremely attentive. Always checked in on us frequently and had perfect timing. Went above and beyond!!

Our server was amazing and requested that the manager came to discuss an item we felt was too salty to eat and corrected it by making it again. It was a busy holiday Father's Day which I feel resulted in things being out of the ordinary such as running out of scallops and waiting for our table past the reservation time, but within the 15 minute grace period. Overall a great spot for special occasions or if you are just a seafood lover. The Peach sidecar was a great drink and I enjoyed my "usual" the pasta with shrimp scallops and lump crab.

Great place for seafood. Good aesthetic and decent prices. My favorite part is that, instead of a dessert menu, they bring you a tray of desserts to choose from! Make sure you save room. 😂

My coworker was begging to come here for dinner. It was soooooo good. We got a nice table outside on the patio. The heater kept us nice and warm. Our server was so fabulous we made sure to let the manager know. Everyone always contacts the managers to complain but you’ve gotta let them know the good stuff too! My dinner was fabulous and everyone was raving about their meals. Definitely worth the out of the way trek! Shrimp & grits and shrimp étouffée were fabulous!

Wow! This is a fantastic restaurant! So many great options and everything is delicious. The decor is very nice, and it is conveniently located off the freeway. If you go for lunch (11 to 3, I think) there is a lunch menu too, and that cuts the prices in half. There is a nice outdoor dining area too.

Service is great. Atmosphere is cozy and reminiscent of New Orleans. Prices are really high given the food and location. A fried food basket with a cup of gumbo costs around $30-35. They could benefit from higher quality food to match prices. I do like the shrimp gumbo.

  • 4/5 Ulysses F. 1 year ago on Google
I wish there was a 4.5 star option. I felt as if the price was too high for what this restaurant had to offer. $27 for sub par calamari is kind of a joke. Luckily the entrees were pretty good. We were sat down right away. Waitress was decent. Ambiance is good. A really beautiful entrance and courtyard. All that said, I probably wouldn't go again as I'd enjoy other options in the same price point a bit more. I am on the fence if I would recommend it, however they do seem popular for a reason.

I truly enjoy going here. We usually get a great waitress/waiter. This last time we were not so lucky. I wish she was a little more attentive. One thing I will say is the food is always amazing!! We made reservations and we were seated on time. Hostess was friendly! Environment was perfect! We will go back again!

First time there. Didn't get a tour of the menu dispute asking a few questions. They have unique dishes with good flavors. Prices are up there and I wasn't blown away. The wait time for the food was around 30 minutes. The waiter did not come around enough. Overall I won't go back unless invited, but the dishes had good flavor. .

So Happy Pappadeaux has kept their exceptional quality and service during this hectic and ever changing environment. The attention to customer service and most importantly the taste of the food was on point... One request, please bring back the Mediterranean Calamari......

  • 5/5 Angie M. 7 months ago on Google
Great atmosphere with great decor, fountains, outdoor seating, great customer service, and outstanding food! It is a nice walk inside the restaurant, as you have to pass up a beautiful fountain and their outdoor seated area. The restaurant is really spacious and upon entry you come across their beautiful bar, which is also really big. The ceilings were crafted beautifully and the decor blended in with the atmosphere. We were seated within seconds and with a smile. Our server was Shanice. She seemed timid but was very friendly, professional, and patient while we browsed through the menu. We ordered the chicken tenderloins with fries and a side of rice and beans, the seafood gumbo and the Caesar salad. The tenderloins were served piping hot with the perfect crust and perfectly seasoned. They were delicious! They brought out honesty mustard and ketchup and I asked for a side or ranch, which by the way was also delicious and fresh! The fries were served hot and upon request seasoned with Cajun spices. The Caesar was good (nothing to brag about lol) and the gumbo, ummm, I think could use a little thickening. I didn’t personally eat it but my boyfriend said it was just okay and it tasted more like a soup. From what I’ve seen, a gumbo tends to have more of a thick stew like texture so I would have to agree with him there. With that said, Shanice continued to check on it and overall is rated an outstanding experience. I wish I had arrived just an hour sooner so that I can taste their po-boy and also wish they offered just a couple more options for people like myself who don’t eat seafood - but listen, there’s nothing about this place I would change!

Yay! They are open for dine-in at the outside patio. I did an online reservation online from yelp, and it got me a spot right away. I tried the Award Winning Clam Chowder in a fresh house baked sourdough bread bowl, half dozen of oysters, paired with a glass of Pinot Grigio. The Clam Chowder was good, well-balanced flavors . The oysters were fresh and yummy. I'm content. The price point is kinda pricey, but the service and food are awesome!

Let me just say, I've had Pappadeaux's before and it never disappoints. Taylor was an amazing server. The food was great, the flavors were outstanding. The out off office drink was so delicious and refreshing. The portions were huge too, couldn't finish all my food. I will definitely be back.

Great restaurant Seafood Restaurant, although part of a franchise the atmosphere and fare is like one that you might have in a nouveau trendy restaurant. The food is well prepared, the service has been great every time that we have dined in and everyone is cordial and helpful! Please make sure that you make your reservation because this restaurant is always full 👍🏼

Simply amazing dining experience ! This is maybe my 3rd time visiting a Pappadeaux restaurant, and it never disappoints. This was my wife 1st experience, and she still can't stop talking about the stuffed crab she ordered. I thoroughly enjoyed the seared scallops and blackened catfish. We will definitely return in the near future. The waiter was polite, friendly, and very knowledgeable of the menu options.

The service was good, my food was a bit salty and the dirty rice was also dry. Dessert was too cold and hard, I had the browie Sundae wish server would have recommend heating the Brownie it would have been better. Drink was flat didn't taste like a Margarita with Patron. More like flavored water.

I have been coming here for years and haven’t had a complaint. This is the perfect place for date night, girls night out, you name it. The food is fresh and delicious. It is hard to find a restaurant in AZ with great seafood and the right cajun style food.

This restaurant has been part of our family already. Whether there is a family occasion or not, we will always go here, especially if most of us get lazy to cook. Sometimes we will dine here and sometimes just take out food. The staff are also very friendly and attentive. Very reasonable prices and delish too!

Our server Mary Beth was the best part of this visit. Fun and excellent service. The food was so fresh and Chef quality had the steak and lobster and Fresh Oysters on the half shell. The best golf Oysters I’ve ever had. Key lime pie was over the top. Had to waddle myself to the car.

Great Italian restaurant tucked away in this town with amazing food, service, and hospitality. I felt like I was in Italy again. We had the arancini balls, squid ink pasta, and the ravioli special, which were all so delicious! We loved the vibe, and they had excellent service. I would love to visit sometime again soon.

They got rid of the best bisque on the planet, as well as the coconut shrimp, the sea bass, wedge salad, and much more. You can dig the fried food. The service and cleanliness has declined. No longer my favorite restaurant. I won't be back. The Mahi Alexander was old and fishy.

My parents love this place but now not so great !!! Food came out raw even after 3 attempts . Food quality and preparation has gone downhill. Shrimp was tiny and tasteless and chicken was raw. They had the nerve to charge them $14 for inedible meals( which they never ate ) and 2 sodas. They also paid a tip to the server which none of the bad experience was his fault . They have been going there for 16 years. Shame on on you and your management. Hope you figure this out before you go out of business !!!!
