It’s an amazing place to hike/walk, especially during sunset.

Spring time provides the best weather and when we get rain, it's an absolute must to enjoy the greenery of the desert. This trail is close to town with limited parking yet I did not have issues. It's dog and kid friendly which starts on a pave entrance. The trail is clearly marked and considerably easy for the avid hiker yet some can find it challenging with the mild uphill areas yet nothing drastic. The Ahwautukee community is great and very seldom do you see the typical idiots racing down the pathway as if they own the mountain like you see at Camelback or Papago. 2.2 miles is what it states on the all trail app yet it didn't seem that long in length. Definitely an enjoyable hike and one can run or walk without racing out of town.

This will always be one of my favorite places in the valley... if you climb just a little higher, there is an amazing view of both the Phoenix valley, & if you look to the south you can see Pinal county valley... always beautiful & with a nice breeze to cool off from the hike up... also has a parking area that you can pull over...

Nice Ahwatukee Foothills hike. Trailhead has paved parking and restrooms. The trail can get a bit crowded. Also it seems lots of dog owners don't pickup their dog poo. So watch where you step!

This is a great Arizona Scenic Hike that is not too far from town. Nestled in the Awatukee Foothills, this is a moderate to easy hike that has a few choices to take several different trails for a different scene and level of difficulty. Great views once you have reached less than 20 mins into the trail! This has become more popular over the years, so you will certainly see other hikers along the way....but still a breath of fresh AZ air and If you haven't been on this trail yet, I highly recommend.

Parked on the saddle and took National Trail along the road to the intersection with Holbert Lookout and back. I parked at the mountain saddle and took the National trail above the road to the intersection with Holbert Overlook and back.
