Park Dog park

👍👍 This is a nice facility. No ramps or obstacles for the pups BUT there are two water stations that are great for spraying your dog (if they like that kinda thing) or letting them play in a baby pool. I usually take my pup to Foothills behind the Recreation Center, but it is closed on Wednesdays, so... People often mention dogs, park, people, small, large, shade, chairs, water, Lots, trees,

This is a nice facility. No ramps or obstacles for the pups BUT there are two water stations that are great for spraying your dog (if they like that kinda thing) or letting them play in a baby pool. I usually take my pup to Foothills behind the Recreation Center, but it is closed on Wednesdays, so we come here. Lots of room for the pups to run, plus, there are over a dozen chairs for us lazy owners. Many trees provide shade and help create small groups where friends can sit and talk while their pups play. Me likey.

Super chill dog park. Went on a Saturday morning and was invited to hang out with the usual suspects that bring their dogs. Great people and a nice variety of dogs. If your dog is friendly and likes to play, you’ll fit right in. Everyone was super welcoming and even if you’re more of a lone wolf, your dog will find some buddies to play with. One of the best dog parks in the Phoenix Metro Area, to be honest. Pro tip: make sure to bring balls that are for communal use! 🎾

This place is great, however, it has some people which are in this little click community, its like they have a power trip when it comes to the small dog area. Its like they think they own the section. If you or your dog doesn't fit in their society, then you're an outcast. My friendly 6 month old Belgian Malinios puppy and my friends 1 year old cattle dog mix, we have been going there for the longest time. All our dogs get along, then all of a sudden Miss stick-up-her-butt, comes in there, starts trouble and they all gangup on us to take our dogs to the big dog side. That's fine. They actually did us a favor. However, this is so double standard. You see, they banished our "vicious" pups to the other side, but what about the other bigger dogs on the small dog side? Shouldn't it be the same for others? Oh that's right, those individuals are part of the click community. They do no wrong. This shouldn't be allowed. No one should have the right to rule the dog park. What goes for one larger dog should go for all larger dogs. Same with smaller dogs. If it has to be that way then small should be in small and large in large. Might I suggest a puppy section for larger breed puppies under 1 year and those older that are still playful but too timid to be in the large dog section. I would also like to put in a request to have agility equipment added to the two dog sections. I might not like to click community but the for the dogs, fair is fair.

I'm here in AZ for a month and wanted to find a dog park for my 2 beagles. This park was great! Lots of room and lots of dogs. Friendly people as well. Definitely coming back.

Love this park! Good people and dogs, very good maintenance and easy parking access close to entrance gates. It is right next to a softball field and so the weekends get hectic trying to find parking as the team's spill over into the dog park lot. Hopefully we can get dog park only signs put up before next season other than that its wonderful

Edited: Someone at the park must actually be reading these reviews, because they started posting a calendar at the park for which days they’ll be closed. Now if the construction would just end and they’d start watering the park again, it’d be five stars. I wish I could love this park. It’s big and open, there are always plenty of chairs, there are trees to find shade under, and for the most part, people do not bring aggressive dogs. Very rarely is there an issue with a dog fighting. However, the dog park is locked at random times. On the website it states that due to weather it will be locked until noon the following day to let the mud dry out. I understand that. But when I show up at 7 o’clock in the morning, and the dog park was supposed to have opened at 5:30 AM, and it’s still chained? No rain? That tells me someone isn’t doing their job. When you call the main office, there’s never an answer. When I take the time to drive down here with my dog, expecting that he’s going to be able to get the exercise he needs, and it’s closed, unexpectedly, and with no update to the phone recording or website, it’s extremely disappointing. It’s extremely unprofessional.

The sign says hours 5:30 to 10:00 PM But the gate is unlocked 24/7 exception is on certain Thursdays and days are posted as to closed. The yards are large for both small and large dogs!

It could be cleaner. Don't know why people don't pick up after there pets. It's not being very responsible. Which, and correct me if I'm wrong, is one of the most important responsibilities of owning a dog. PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOUR PET.

Great park, especially in the summer! I like this park for multiple reasons. It's a large park, with lots of chairs all around. There are 2 watering stations that have a hose. Someone left about 50 buckets there that people can fill up and place all around the park for the dogs, plus little kiddie pools. There are a lot of large, mature trees for shade, and last but not least, filled with good fog owners. People are responsible, not pretentious, for the most part, pick up after their dogs and don't freak out if a couple dogs get over excited and get into it. Everyone deals with it accordingly and moves on to enjoy the rest of their visit. There are 2bother dog parks closer to me, but this one is always worth the drive

Me personally I don't own a dog am dog sitting at the moment. It's a rather bigger dog so I was in search of a place to run this dog to get some energy out of him. This place is nice, it has plenty of shade trees and watering spigots with containers for the dogs to drink water from. The only downfall is the light rail construction is going on and there's only one way to get in.

Nice people use this park. All very attentive to their dogs. Lots of scoopers for picking poop. I will be going back a lot more with my dogs

I think this park has a lot of potential, but as it is right now, it leaves a lot to be desired. No seating other than a few plastic chairs. No shade other than a few trees. And there was an older woman yelling at an even older gentleman because his dog nipped at her dog's ear (mind you, this is the big dog section and the dogs were trying to play).

So far, i really love this place! This was my first time there, and the people were really welcoming and great. I have a Siberian Husky with endless energy and who can play a little rough for my standards, but he is a puppy. Dogs and people there were awesome. I tend to panic when i see all the rough play, but everyone is super laid back. Everybody really pretty much keeps an eye on their dogs, and i thought the place was clean. I really like the setup with the double gates. Sheesh, it takes something awful to tire out a husky, and this place really did!!!

Love this park! Plenty of chairs, buckets for water and a water spout. It’s separated for large and small dogs as well. It’s kept pretty clean and most dogs tend to be friendly along with their humans.

  • 1/5 Jodi M. 3 years ago on Google
It's not very good. If you don't mind dust and dirt and mud then it's for you. No winter grass, no irrigating, the sprinklers don't do anything for it... just bad yard maintenance

  • 4/5 Melissa L. 7 months ago on Google
Big open grassy areas for running and ball-throwing, with easy access to water for your furry, four-legged friends. Trash cans and scoopers spread regularly throughout the areas for cleaning up. Plenty of lounge chairs for socializing and trees providing shade for humans and dogs alike. I like that they have small dog and big dog separate areas fenced off but unfortunately you can’t fix stupid and sometimes people have to ruin it for others. There’s one particular fellow in picture that I would warn you to watch out for who brings his very large, aggressive dog to the small dog side, and then starts confrontations with some ladies on the small dog side. He did it several times to other women. It’s happened on numerous occasions and unfortunately I was involved in one such incident. Police don’t respond quickly enough in this area to do anything so unfortunately you’re just kind of on your own. Thankfully there’s a much larger friendly population of dog loving people who go there regularly and they largely make up for the one off’s such as the dirt bag that causes the issues. They close down on a rotating schedule to clean but sometimes they skip cleaning and it can get somewhat messy. Owners need to take responsibility for their pets ultimately.

This is a big beautiful dog park. Enough room to launch the ball with all your might. Lots of friendly people and dogs. I like how the big dog and little dog sections are separated by a chain link fence cause those lil dogs love yapping at the big boys, it's good fun for all. There are two watering stations with lots of bowls. Plenty of seating. Good amount of shade under the trees. They keep the field clean and trim. On Thurs mornings they mow the grass so don't go at that time. Anyways we just moved to the area and this is our new go to fetch spot. It's hard to find the entrance cause all the road construction but it's there!!

I take my two dogs to the little doggie park. They love it! The dogs have fun and make friends. And its lovely talking to other owners as well. Clean areas. There's a tiny pool for the doggies. They have little containers with water. They have a couple chairs for the owners to use.

Nice large shaded areas for small dogs, not as much shade in the big dog side. Lots of chairs to sit on. Friendly people. Wading pool and lots of buckets for water. We returned on 2/10 @ about 7pm. Man claiming to be native american driving a silver car license plate #cvv8198 with 5 large dogs, a black great dane, black shepherd, 3 brown mixes be weary as they are aggressive and if you tell him he needs to leave because of his dogs, he (the owner) gets aggressive with you.

Good dog park with both large and small dog areas. Numerous trees and open grass give lots of shade and area to run. Two faucets for water. The small dog and large dog areas share the same gate so there is often lots of barking there.

Lots of room for dogs to run, HOWEVER, the grass is full of stickers that get stuck in the dog's fur. NOT ideal for small, long hair dogs. Also, the main entry area is covered in dog urine and you will need to step around several large puddles.

It's a decent park, but people need to be educated on (or reminded of) dog park etiquette, mainly cleaning up after their dogs and not opening the double gate to exit or enter when someone is in there getting their dog back on a leash. ??‍♀️
