Best park nearby, very quiet and peaceful. Grass is always maintained green, huge play area for kids , many swings for all age groups. Big trees with shades and enough seating benches. Paradise Valley community center is major place for all sporting events. There is a big swimming pool, skate park, baseball courts and huge dog park. Only negative point is restrooms are still closed after Covid.

This should be an ideal park as it has activity areas for just about everyone. There's a pool, skate park, soccer field, baseball field, play structures, and separate large and small dog parks. The problem seems to be finding times when the area you want to use is not unexpectedly closed or too crowded.

Some guy in the church van cruised the parking lot, assuring everyone that they are loved by Jesus. He was having such a good time.

Looks great, trees for shade, lots of toys and no poop, very clean. The only thing missing is the dogs, though! Came on Friday at 2:30 pm. Not a soul in sight.

Solar powered lights let you bring your dog at night. Just found out that solar lights will be removed. Apparently this was a pilot program. That is truly unfortunate as many people like to bring their dogs later in the evening during the summer. While the dog park is open until 11 pm, what good is that without decent lighting? This has caused me to lower my rating to 4 stars.

Please be advised!!! If you are on blood thinners or just plain bleed easy it probably is not a good idea to come into a dog park with shorts on! A guy had a dog jump up on his leg and freaked out. At first he tried to say he was bit but others seen the dog scratched his leg with its paws. Very immature behavior. Its a darn dog park!

brought my two sons here so they could learn how to skate!! they loved it and spent all their time practicing some tricks. they made friends with some of other local children, and it was a blast for all of us... on the drive home, all they could ask about was the next time we were coming back!!

I take my Sadie baby to the dog park and we usually go behind the fencing to the desert where she can chase bunnies, and lizards. I hung a hummingbird feeder for the birds and I bring bread for the other 15 species of birds back there.

I just want to say that it's to bad that the park employees won't pick up broken glass. I've stopped employees and talked to them about it in the past. I've even contacted the main office. I'm not sure why all the dog owners aren't upset about their dogs walking on broken glass. Parking lot /sidewalk by the Skate Park seems to be the worst. But. .there are other areas with broken glass.

Large established shade trees to pitch a blanket for picnic or walking with leashed dogs and young children alike. Well maintained, and peaceful for an in city park only slightly off the beaten path. Accessible to everyone due to N Central location.

Went to Black Canyon dog park by Pinnacle High School ~ was way too crowded so ended up at 40th PV dog park only to find it closed. Go figure. It's summer, streets are too hot to walk the dogs ~ growing grass instead ~ wondering if perhaps you could wait until the winter months to do so? Our dogs need to play just as much as everyone's dogs needs to play. Wondering if you could fence the grassed in part across the way as an interim dog park?

Fun, clean skatepark and huge green area with picnic tables and shade.

  • 4/5 Kevin de S. 4 years ago on Google
Nice dog park with lots of shady trees and a small structure with benches for places to sit. Only negative is that the park has lots of mud so it's easy for your dog to get very muddy. But there's lots of open space for dogs to run and good drinking fountains for both dogs and people.

Park is large. Multiple areas for plethora of activity. Two huge soccer fields, two baseball diamonds, large and small dog parks. Huge play area, lots of shade. Good for dog training or just playing around. On site attendants try to maintain clean, peaceful environment.

There are TWO dog parks at the Paradise Valley dog park...one for small gogs, and one for large ones...They're both PERFECT to let your dog off the leash, and socialize with the other dogs there! It REALLY brought my rescue dog, "Buddy" out of his shell...Now he has a LOTTA friends at the park, animal and human...?

The dogs and most pet parents are friendly. Poo is picked up promptly and the yard is secure. I can't wait to see the grass green. The only thing I would add is a sand pit for the zoomies because my guy loves to run.

Big beautiful spread out park, with Ramadan, shady giant trees, benches, dog park, community swimming pool, skateboard rink. Nice place to meet with family and friends. Met here for office team lunch so that we can social distance wearing masks but at the same time meet everyone. Right off SR-51, so conveniently located. Well kept too !

  • 5/5 Holly T. 3 years ago on Google
Very nice park. Grand in size with 2 sides. One for the smaller breeds and one for the larger briefs. I have one of each and so as to not crush either of their egos, we go to the big dog side. The people are friendly there are plenty of trees and shaded areas and benches to sit if you so desire. The have fountains for the pups and people bring water dishes so they are everywhere around the park and all dogs are welcome to partake. There's one gentleman that brings a child's play pool and fills it up with ice. Great fun for dogs of all ages!. I discovered this park when the usual park was closed for seeding the grass. I'm glad I discovered it. Though I do love their original park I am going to stick with this park primarily because of the great amount of shade and seating it has to offer.

I was there on a Saturday morning and it looked like there were several dog training classes. It was so cool to see! So many good pups! The park is large with several playgrounds, dog parks for both active and passive dogs, picnic tables, and even a skatepark. Paradise Valley Park is a great place to spend a weekend morning. The park is pretty big, so if you'd like to view and find park amenities, I'd recommend downloading the app, Avem.

Nice dog park with a covered patio and benches. There are quite a few trees for shade. Separate small dog park that is quite large. A few drawbacks are the lack of a water faucet (there is a drinking fountain) and no permanent lights although there are portable solar powered lights.

I absolutely love this park. It has just about anything that Arizona Parks and Recreation Dept offers in the way of services for neighborhood Parks with the exclusion of fishing ,camping, and boating. I don't recall if one can do the later two at Indian School park. It has a the PV community center conveniently located adjacent to the south eastern section of the park. My favorite aspect of the park is the dog run located in the South Western area the large dog run north of the small dog run. Even with the pandemic there generally tends be at least one other person there with their dog. Everyone I've met there has been extremely friendly and willing to have a pleasant chat with other fellow dog lovers. What a great opportunity to meet other Phoenicians one probably wouldn't have had a chance to meet had the park not been there. Def a 5 Star in my book.

As far as parks go it's ok. It has trees and grass, shaded areas , picnic tables and ramadas. A spot with swings and slides small climbing walls for kids and a drinking fountain or two. The da og park is big and separated from the public area. The one thing that needs fixing is the bathrooms. Their small, in need of structural repair and could use a coat or two of fresh paint.

Ok so this is not a bad dog park. Sometimes people will bring big dogs into it, but for the most part its just the little guys. The big dog park is right next door. It has plenty of water for the dogs and a ton of toys that have been left behind.

  • 5/5 Chloie S. 4 years ago on Google
People at the small dog park are always very friendly. There are trees to sit under benches and a ramada. Also there are always extra grocery bags available that people bring and a few rakes and scoops for picking up poop.

Very friendly park-that is most of the people as well as their dogs. Lately however, I have noticed that a number of TWO legged visitors are NOT taking responsibility for picking up their dog's poop. They are too busy visiting with other people and not watching their dogs.

This is a very nice, very well laid out dog park. There are plenty of trees and lots of places to sit down in the shade. The water fountain is very clean and our dogs actually liked drinking the water. Unlike the water at Grover Basin dog park. There is also a lot to do at this park besides the dog park. Play grounds, swimming pool, ball courts and fields.

This dog park is absolutely amazing! I have brought my Great Dane (Zeus⚡️) Here since day one almost everyday! He gets along well with all the other dogs and people and the park is well fit for him! There are some major improvements they could work on like all the mud sometimes and the grass! Other then that it’s a great park!

Neighborhood park with an awesome skate park, soccer fields, cricket matches, and a dank but fully functional public restroom. Probably about 3/4 mile around it if you were to run laps. Skatepark is really dope.

  • 4/5 Abraham S. 1 year ago on Google
Love the dog park here! They have one side for the little guys and a bigger section for the big dogs. The are plenty of trees and areas to sit. I do wish it had some hills though. Totally flat. Hills help burn extra energy from the doggos! Great park in general.

  • 5/5 Tatiana S. 1 year ago on Google
I used to take my dog to Grover basin dog park but the other week it was closed. So I discovered this place. Those places much nicer with benches and shade. My only kind of complaint is when we were there last some spots in the dog park were muddy. But it's a park, and they water it, so it just is what it is. Your dogs make it dirty muddy but they'll love it!

Great place to meet or have a picknic, they have a skate park, multiple playgrounds, a dog park, sprawling grassy fields. it is adjacent to the community center. lots of large trees for shade. lots of benches and tables to sit at. Large enough park to launch hobby rockets, fly kites, fly drones, etc. It is right behind PV high school.

Great park with fun activities. Right next to the park they have a community pool and a community center with different sports leauges for kids activities and all types of camps. Jr suns basketball league it's amazing!

Really nice peaceful park. Although I don't own a dog, I still must mention that they have a separate dog park here. That really helps people that are afraid of dogs, or just don't appreciate dogs running up and licking them to death.😃

  • 3/5 Elijah V. 1 year ago on Google
Plenty of space, skate park, local pool, playground, picnic areas and abundance, also holds youth baseball City League's probably. Parking never an issue. Bring your dogs there is plenty of space for them too and the dog park area. Bathrooms on site are usually open

  • 1/5 Chad A. 7 months ago on Google
Not sure where all the tax money is going here especially when it seems to be like the headquarters of all these park maintenance people The place is all dried up and shriveled up and there are drug dealers placed strategically throughout the park they control that park. It's very sad looking park. It's huge but be warned every parking lot has a drug dealer keeping an eye out. Don't expect any help from any park crews. You will see lots of city owned trucks parking and sleeping or mingling with the drug pushers. The dog park is nice because most of the visitors let their dogs run free outside the fenced area breaking the law right in front of the park employees but don't do that unless your a homeowner and look the part or else you may even be arrested if you look anything close to not being a homeowner.

  • 4/5 james u. 8 months ago on Google
This park is huge. So much for a city park to offer swimming skateboarding batting practice, really Never seen that at a city park before. Phoenix parks does have a lot to offer. They do a great job maintaining them. My only complaint about Paradise Valley Park is the rest room on the fields are always locked. Even during the day when they have workers all over the place. Most important you can go for a nice walk without having to move your car after a long day sitting in court

  • 5/5 Sandra P. 9 months ago on Google
This is one of My favorite Phoenix area dog parks and I will often drive quite a distance to get here. The morning crowd is always the same, friendly group, the small dog park is unusually enormous so I can get a good walk around the perimeter, and the park staff and regulars keep the place so clean that you would have to work at it to step in poop. There is a big pergola with a roof overhead and a large picnic table. It's usually crowded with friendlies, but there are benches if you are not in the mood. The only thing negative is the placement of the benches. They are just beyond the shade of whatever big leafy tree is closest to them. You would think, given the Phoenix heat, someone would have more carefully considered placement.

I toke my dog to dog park here. He really liked it! The tarmack was very pitted with big holes, speed bump surprises because not painted. Quite busy with dogs, skaters, baseball game. Love how big an area it is! It could use some better upgrades to make it updated. It was OK.

  • 5/5 Vicki Loved by Y. 10 months ago on Google
Best Dog park in the area (City Of phoenix parks and rec does NOT do a good job taking care of it!!!). So that doesn’t really say much but it’s better than all the other loser parks in the area! (Grass is dead, water fountains, barely work, not enough of shade…. Wish they kept the parks up as nicely as a Scottsdale does!

  • 4/5 Teri S. 6 months ago on Google
The big shade trees are the main reason we drive a little further for this park. Most off the owners are conscientious about cleaning up and watching their dogs

  • 5/5 Vin M. 6 months ago on Google
This park is BIG! 😜🎈 LOVE IT! 😁🤙

  • 3/5 servant 4. 6 months ago on Google
This is a decent park. It’s not much too look at but if you need something quick and easy in the Phoenix area this is it. My only complaint is off leash dogs. Seriously people there is a law. I saw at least 6 in the span I was there which wasn’t too long. There is a dog park but people choose to have them walk off leash in the park. The dog pictured was a foster dog I had who was leashed the entire time. Due to this safety risk and the general lackluster it’s 3/5 for me. Decent but if you have the time there are better parks in Phoenix. Overall it’s just okay and did what I needed it to.

Good place . Good dog run. Some Karens there with their ugly looking dogs but I pretty much expect that. I've developed a fast acting Karen repellent that seems to work most of the time so I feel safe when I go out now.

We were there for a dog competition. The grounds are clean and well maintained. The trees are neatly trimmed. There's plenty of parking. It's a big park for walking and riding a bike. There's a playground there but I haven't been close to it. The restroom is clean as well.
