STAY
AWAY.
While
there
are
people
that
say
they've
been
helped
here
-
and
they
may
well
have
-
I
found
the
facility
anything
but
helpful.
In
fact
it
was
a
horrible
experience.
Here's
my
issues
with
this
facility:
-
You're
stuck
with
a
roommate;
there
are
no
private
rooms.
And
that
person
could
be
anyone
from
someone
who's
dealing
with
mild
symptoms
of
depression
all
the
way
to
a
full-on
raging
alcoholic
who
makes
constant
noises
at
night.
Or
worse.
-
They
have
an
very
bold
bias
towards
military
and
first-responders,
making
anyone
outside
of
that
feel
they
are
less-than.
-
Most
of
the
staff
is
there
for
a
paycheck.
Very
few
have
a
the
right
patient,
caring
attitude
towards
a
behavioral
facility
that
is
supposed
to
be
the
first
step
towards
recovery
-
regardless
if
it's
substance
abuse
or
suicidal
depression.
-
The
Dr's
(psychologists/psychiatrist)
spend
very
little
time
with
you;
less
than
5
minutes
typically.
So
there's
almost
no
opportunity
to
actually
talk
things
out.
Same
for
case
workers.
My
best,
helpful
conversation
was
with
a
tech.
-
The
group
sessions
are
facilitated
by
people
who
really
have
no
business
leading
a
group
of
people
in
some
form
of
crisis.
At
best
they'll
gloss
over
some
handouts
they
give
you.
Most
of
the
time
they've
got
nothing
of
real-world
experience
to
share
or
help
you
with.
Just
off-the-cuff
commentary.
Useless,
annoying
and
not
at
all
helpful.
I
left
there
feeling
worse
than
when
I
went
in.
I
simply
said
the
right
things
so
I
could
get
released
and
out
of
there.
Any
behavioral
health
facility
is
going
to
be
a
tough
environment
to
endure.
Their
first
priority
is
to
stabilize
the
patient
from
whatever
ails
them,
be
it
depression
or
substance
abuse,
and
hopefully
get
them
either
back
home,
to
a
safe
environment
or
to
a
long-term
rehab
facility
to
continue
treatment.
But
this
first
step
is
really
critical
to
treat
the
people
that
come
to
them
in
the
proper
manner.
My
experience
in
dealing
with
the
environment
at
Valley
Hospital
was
far
less
than
healing
or
helpful.
If
you
want
somewhere
to
go
that's
actually
managed
properly,
has
a
clean
environment,
private
rooms
to
give
you
space
to
rest
and
more,
try
Banner
Behavioral
in
Scottsdale.
100%
better.
