    Mr. Hurst, I find your approach, Will Hurst owner of Spark Cross fit , of cyber stalking too be rude and unprofessional. Trying to blackmail me into responding and removing my review. One message was enough, then Will Hurst took it to far. Sending a message of a threatening manner of blackmail. I would never cyber stalk someone on social media, like Will Hurst owner of Spark Crossfit. Will Hurst owner of Spark Cross fit should be ashamed of himself. Will you did stalk me, Will you did beg me, Will you did threaten me. The fact you admit sending me messages. Makes you the stalker. Let your wife handle the reviews not you. No way would I ever consider coming in your business. I would be afraid you would jump me. That's how threatened I feel from your messages. It's not what was offered or what was wrong. Your wife was very kind to me, answered all of my questions, and offered free class on line. It's what I did not feel In the space , the energy was not there for me and the floor plan was choppy.

    Fell in love with CrossFit workouts a year ago and been looking for a place to challenge myself a little bit more. After trying three different gyms I landed on this gem of a place. Where the community is super friendly but the environment is competitive enough to push you beyond your limits. If you haven’t already I would at least try the free training session you won’t be disappointed.

    This gym is great! I was extremely nervous to start not knowing anyone and being new to Crossfit but everyone is so supportive and everyone motivates eachother! The gym is clean and has great vibes! I give it a 10 out of 10!

    This review is way overdue. I have been a member at Hammer CrossFit (south location) for quite sometime now. Each workout is challenging and you can scale everything to your own tempo. All the coaches, especially Tyler, are encouraging, supportive and attentive. I am very grateful for the atmosphere and community created here. If you are thinking about trying something new to improve your fitness , or to even get started for the first time, give Hammer CrossFit a try!

    I started earlier this month and I love it. The owner, James, is super proactive about meeting your needs and making the gym the best it can be. The community is top tier, everyone is so kind and inviting. Furthermore, every trainer I’ve got to work with, exceeded any expectation I could’ve had. They’re all extremely knowledgeable in what they do and will happily take the extra time to break down complex movements, create modifications, and make the group classes something you look forward to in the day. They’re also all just genuinely great people. This gym has definitely left it’s mark, I was intimidated when I was first looking into CrossFit, but they completely alleviated that the moment I did my first class!

    I dropped in at Hammer CrossFit and had an awesome experience! Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Coach Mike was a great and warm instructor who was very helpful. If I’m ever back in the area I will definitely be dropping in again! Thanks for the awesome experience!

    Jesse and Natalie do a great job giving cues for the Olympic lifts. I started Oly lifting a few years ago and had some coaching here and there but was mostly on my own. I wasn’t making any progress because I didn’t take the time to learn the lifts correctly or work on my mobility. Both Coaches are very knowledgeable and make sure you’re not putting yourself in a bad position with the lifts. If you’re interested in learning the Olympic lifts this is the place.

    Spark Crossfit is hands down the best place to workout. The coaches Erin and Burga are there for you with everything from nutrition to workouts they push you to hit your goals and motivate you to keep it going. The Six week challenge was so fun from the people to the atmosphere of working out with ppl that are just like you was amazing no looks of judgement but words of encouragement to help you push yourself to your goals.

    +*Disgusting!! I tried the Scottsdale location on a free week pass. They do not wipe down the barbells after class, the place smells badly, and overall is not clean. After the first class the owner reached out to me to ask how the class was. When I told him about the lack of cleanliness, he said the Tempe location isn’t clean either and he specifically said he wanted to end the conversation - meaning a decent level of cleanliness is not a priority. To be clear: the comment about Tempe is based on the owner’s direct statement. And based on me telling him they didn’t wipe down barbells, he banned me from the gym.

    It was my second CrossFit class and Tawn was awesome. She took extra time to break down each movement for me, teach proper form and help suggest weights. She had great energy and was a great coach!

    I love Hammer Crossfit! The sense of community among the members is incredible. The coaches are great—Tyler, especially, is a phenomenal coach. He is super knowledgeable. He is always very encouraging yet also gives constructive feedback that helps me continue to improve. He offers appropriate scaling options for everyone in the class so everyone is able to get a great workout matching their strength/skill level. I have had more growth in my fitness journey during my time being coached by Tyler than any other time in my life. Thank you, Tyler and my entire Hammer family!

    Such a fun environment with great people and great coaching. Definitely recommend Sanctuary Barbell to help with improvement of your weightlifting progress. The CrossFit coaches are top notch too!

    Community is welcoming to newcomers. Facility has everything you need to train effectively. Coaches are great! Partner workouts every Saturday breeds a deeper sense of connection and community with other members. I highly recommend this Crossfit Gym. Worth every penny!

    I am visiting and living in Phoenix temporarily so naturally I looked for and found one of the best CrossFit gyms ever! I have been doing CF for over 8 years and have also coached CF at the last gym where I was a member. Anytime I visit a new area, one of my first missions is to find a CF gym so I can continue training on the road. The people at Hammer CF were the first thing to stand out. When you step into a new CF gym, the manner in which you are welcomed and greeted says everything about your experience that day and likely for all future visits. Tariq was the first coach I met. He is a genuinely good dude who gives great feedback and explains the movements of the workouts clearly. Tyler is another coach I regularly take classes from and he is equally enthusiastic about coaching while wanting to see you put forth your best effort. James, the owner, welcomed me from day one and has always greeted me with a smile. I can tell he genuinely cares for the members as people and wants all of the athletes to have the best experience possible. I will continue to be a member of this gym until the day I have to leave Phoenix. When I return, this will be my first stop! I highly recommend this CF gym and am confident you will have the same positive experience I have when showing up ready to get fit!

    The staff really know their stuff and accommodate everyone. When I started there I was 55+, really overweight and hadn’t worked out in years. They made sure that I wasn’t overdoing it and that I worked at my own pace. They are knowledgeable helpful and encouraging.

    We came to an evening class as drop-ins during our trip to Phoenix and felt very welcomed by the coach, Michael, and the other athletes! We enjoyed the smaller class size as well. If we’re ever back here we will definitely come back!

    I recently took part in my first CrossFit class and found all the staff to be extremely helpful for a first timer. I appreciate the time before classes that are taken to describe the workout of the day and go through the movements. My experience so far has been excellent.

    Did a drop-in here while in the area for work. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and the coaching was very high quality and attentive - taking us through warm-ups and movements that were thorough and very relative to the work ahead of us. The entire class crushed the workout and we all had sweat angels in honor of the "sacrifice"! 😄 I plan to drop-in again next time I'm out this way in a couple weeks and will plan to do so anytime I'm in the area! Great box - check 'em out!!!

    Hammer crossfit has quickly become like a second home to me even after only being there for 2 weeks. Not only do the coaches hep celebrate your wins with you they help you get through the hard parts of the workouts too. Everyone is so inviting and you can quickly tell everyone is there to be their best self! I would highly recommend this crossfit gym to anyone either for a fixed membership or even just a drop in! Overall 10/10!!

    The gym is awesome. Workouts have been great. I’ve been most impressed with my improvements in my agility and flexibility. Coaches are really great. I’ve been to CrossFit gyms where I’ve questioned the coaches because I feel that I am nearly as qualified as they are, however, at Hammer Central the coaches are incredible and experienced. I’ve really enjoyed my experience here

    My first time ever trying CrossFit was at this gym and it was more intense than I expected it to be. I overworked myself and essentially collapsed from exhaustion and could barely move. The coach at the time, Sam, was so kind and helpful and brought me an energy drink (on the house) to regain my strength. One of the owners, Erin, was by my side for almost the entirety of my time on the floor as I lay in a heap of exhaustion. She ensured I was safe and provided me with anything I needed to recover (I had already signed the waiver so I knew she was being genuinely kind and concerned for my well being). Alexis, at the front counter, was chipper and friendly with me and made me feel very welcome. Will, the other owner, introduced himself to me and also made me feel welcome. No one ever pushed me to sign up for anything or talk about money or anything. Everyone at the gym was very friendly and took the time to show me the techniques they were using - and these people were all highly advanced. I would definitely recommend Spark CrossFit to anyone looking to whip themselves into shape in a great environment with friendly people.

    I've been a member for almost 2 months now, and this place is amazing. The coaches are very, very uplifting and positive. They also are very skillful in teaching technique, regardless of your athletic level. I know I have a lot of negative self-talk, and they correct me so politely and positively, it makes me feel so much better. I've been working with Sam the most, but all their coaches are awesome and bring a different spice to the gym. Krist, Ryan, Abby, Bugra, Brandon and the rest (sorry if I didn't mention you), all have great enthusiasm and coaching skills. If you're now to CF or not, or just needed a "Spark" (pun intended) like me, this is the place to be. You can thank me later.

    It’s been 3 weeks now that I have started doing crossfit and I feel amazing. I feel stronger than before and all the coaches here are very patient, helpful and supportive. They focus on the form and make you feel comfortable if you are first timers and custom workouts which are challenging. Would definitely recommend it.

    Dain is an excellent coach, he's always giving technical advice and corrections and excellent at motivating everyone through class. He's also super nice and approachable, and knows what he's talking about when it comes to lifting and mobility! One of the best CrossFit coaches I've had class with! The gym itself is awesome and had great equipment and open gym hours. All the coaches are excellent and know what they are talking about which is valuable.

    I absolutely LOVE CrossFit Pulse! The coaches give great motivation and always make sure you’re comfortable with the exercises and don’t overdo it.     Wooo! Wear can I start? I have wanted to do CrossFit for years, but have never been able to find a box with mixture of community, programming, and coaches. I found all of that at hammer, and couldn’t be more happy I started this journey. Sure the workouts are great but the biggest thing I got from this box is learning to believe in myself again, seeing with my own eyes that I could not only push my limits but surpass them.     I travel for work and I have dropped-in several CrossFit Gyms and Hammer is definitely added to my favs. Came to Hammer during the Legends Championship and the majority of athletes were drop-ins as there was a lot of families in the area for the competition (pictured). I was impressed with the programming, and the coaching. Coach was great scaling the WOD appropriately and truly coached, he walked around and check on everyone. They use Pushpress which made easy to sign up. (If your box already use the app, you will know the drill). Great facility! Once in Phoenix I will definitely come back. Thanks for having us!

    Small group, big impact. Each class gives an opportunity to participate and learn without being crowded. The instructors are always there to whip you into shape and correct your form. Technical movements can be a challenge being new to CrossFit but as long as you're consistent they have your back. I've been going here for about a month now and I'm going to continue. I highly suggest checking out a class, new or experienced. Don't be shy now. 😉

    I can't recommend Hammer Crossfit South enough! Coaches here are exceptional - their expertise and dedication to each member's progress set this gym apart. They create challenging yet rewarding workouts, and the sense of community is unparalleled. I am new to a CrossFit workouts and from the first day I was there, James, Mick, Sam, and Mike makes me feel welcomed, periodically checking how I am doing during sessions, and call you out if you are slacking.     It was a great experience. I had no knowledge of CrossFit before joining the gym. Sam and the other staff worked hard to teach me how to properly do the exercises so that I could build muscle while reducing the risk injury. My hearing difficulties made it a little hard for me to understand what was happening at all times; so the staff would go out of their way to explain to me what was expected. It was a really good experience.

    I completed the 6 week challenge at Spark Crossfit and couldn't be happier with my results! I lost 6.9% body fat and gained a whole new outlook on my nutrition. As a new mom I was intimidated to get back to working out, but the owner, staff, and coaches were all incredibly friendly and encouraging the whole way through. If you are new to crossfit or want to get back into fitness this is the program for you!! Classes are scaled to every level and the community is awesome. I even made a few new friends from doing this program. Now I'm strong enough to keep up with my very active 9 month old thanks to Spark Crossfit!! I can't wait to become a full time member.

    Let me tell you about this awesome CrossFit gym!!! I participated in the 6 week challenge and had the best time. I lost weight, gained muscle, and improved my diet in 6 weeks. It was challenging and rewarding at the same time. The classes are so great thanks to the wonderful instructors! Venus and Bugra are so motivating and never let you give up. They really invest in your development and provide good insight to your form. I started to look forward to my classes instead of dreading the workout. I took one class with another instructor named Abby, who was also amazing and very friendly! Actually the entire gym is full of friendly people and it’s a great community environment. Erin was my personal nutrition coach and would review my food logs weekly. It was very helpful to have someone there to answer my questions and to let me know that I was eating the right things. The Macros eating program was easy to follow and kept me full! If you are ready to make a change, or if you already know and love CrossFit, I highly recommend this gym!!!

    I was in Phoenix on business and had several hours before my meeting started. I found Spark Crossfit from a google search. Reviews looked good. Called and the receptionist was super nice. Walked into the first Crossfit box I had ever visited besides my own. The staff and the other customers could not have possibly been more welcoming. The wod was pretty tough but I guess that’s why I went. Could not recommend this place more. I hope I get to come back someday.

    I had a great experience during the 6 week challenge I recently completed at Spark CrossFit!! The team there were so supportive when I was having hard times. The coaches were great with working around some old injuries I had and not only gave me modifications during the workouts, but gave me extra accessory work for my shoulder and knee stability. The gym and process for attending the classes are both very organized. They use an app that lists the class schedule and the workouts of each day for each class. This makes it very easy to plan around your schedule. All the classes start and end pretty much exactly on time, which I very much appreciate. Overall, I would definitely recommend this gym not only for the athleticism, but also for the community you get to become a part of.

    Spark Crossfit has Sparked my interest back into working out! I lost 5.4% body fat in 6 weeks by attending the classes 3 times a week and sticking to the meal plan. Never did I think I would sign up for another Crossfit gym. This is my third Crossfit box and by far the best one for me. The coaches and staff really help you along the way to meet your goal. Just stick to the diet and workouts and you’ll see results in no time!

    While searching for a new and exciting way to lose weight, because nothing else was working, I thought of checking CrossFit out. Not long after I thought of trying it out, I quickly found Spark, they seemed fairly friendly, clean, fun and for a CrossFit gym, very non-threatening or scary. After just my first week there I felt like I had finally found what I was looking for. Super friendly staff (and members!), very clean workout environment, challenging but not intimidating workouts that leave you feeling tired and accomplished in just one hour. I absolutely love my experience at this gym and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area who is looking to either try out CrossFit for the first time, or has been doing CrossFit for years and wants to continue to elevate their body and their performance.

    I highly recommend joining Spark CrossFit if you are serious about getting in shape and/or losing weight. However, not only does this program focus on getting in shape and weight loss but also on educating its members on healthy eating and dieting habits. When I first saw an ad for this gym on facebook back in October what really appealed to me was how it provides you with a meal plan. That was a huge game changer for me because you don't get that at other gyms. In addition to educating its members, the other great thing about Spark CrossFit is the staff and coaches. They are highly motivated people who really work with you on your goals. They always answer any and all questions you have and they always greet you with a smile. Never have I went to the gym and felt as if I was not welcome. The staff and coaches really make you feel as if you are a valued member and that you are wanted there so that you can reach your fitness goals. I've never felt judged or like an outcast. Everyone has always been very friendly and welcoming. If you are determined to lose weight in an environment where people will motivate you to the best version of yourself, Spark CrossFit is the place to be.

    Love this gym! They’re all welcoming and will answer any questions you have. Alexis up front and the coaches will get you set up with something that works well for you and your goals! I started with the 6 week challenge and had a great experience. Crossfit is a huge community not just a gym!

    I had been wary of CrossFit for about a decade, worried that it would make me "bulky" and/or injured. But I had succumbed to a boring routine of just sort of making myself work out on my own in isolation. Honestly, I thought I would try the introductory period at Spark just to inject something different into my workout routine and then call it quits. But I didn't call it quits as I fell absolutely in love with CrossFit in general and Spark in particular. I think I serendipitously stumbled into a very special gym. Once upon a time, I was a collegiate athlete and an elite endurance athlete, and I didn't realize how much I had been craving camaraderie, coaching, and community in my exercise and health. Gone are the days of forcing myself through isolated, boring workouts motivated by a desire to not become totally out of shape or fat. Enter the days of excitement, challenge, and community! And this will push you to challenge yourself if you want it to. Just yesterday I did 124 burpee box jumpovers. That's something I never would have thought I could do in spite of my athletic history. If it's all about the journey rather than the destination, I cannot think of a better place to launch into the journey.

    I absolutely love this place and plan out my week as to when I can go. They give you a heads up as to what they workouts will be so you know ahead of time what muscles you will be working out that day. I love how involved the coaches they. They help everyone with the work out, whether that is proper form or encouragement. They will show you ways to modify an exercise to fit your skill level so your not just on the sidelines watching. Spark CrossFit challenges me in ways which make me succeed become the best version of myself. I am stronger today because of Spark CrossFit. Thank you guys!!!

    6 week challenge introduced me to a lifestyle change. Coach Will, Krist, Sam, Bugra, and Abby were absolutely amazing. They made sure I learned proper technique before I started using more weight. The progress I have made in both my diet and working out has forever changed my life. It has even got my 8 YO to want to engage in clean eating. After completing the 6 week challenge I promptly committed to a year membership. The atmosphere and quality of Spark is above all. I look forward to see the progress I make in a year. Erin and Alexis have been amazing as well. Thank you all

    Great gym with great coaches. Really enjoy Sparks workout programming. They do a really good job of balancing out all muscle groups throughout the week. The coaches are super helpful and provide awesome tips during workouts. Will is also an awesome guy and owner. He really went out of his way to help me out. I'm a teacher and money was the biggest obstacle regarding a prolonged CrossFit experience. Will worked out some options to help me stay and continue to work on my fitness goals. The staff here really does provide a sense of community and support.

    I absolutely love Spark! As someone who has never really worked out or played sports I was naturally intimidated to join, but joining this gym was hands down a great choice. I started with the six week challenge to try it out and had constant guidance from my coach (and owner,) Erin, who instantly made me feel comfortable. Before the six week challenge was even over, I decided to join. I really enjoy the 9AM classes as they are a bit smaller but have really given the opportunity to work more one on one with the coaches. Coach Burga is amazing! He definitely pushes me to try harder and harder each week while throwing in some humor. If you’re even slightly considering trying this place out, just do it! This place has the greatest staff and I’m so glad I took the leap.

    I started at Spark with a challenge. I met my goal of losing 21lbs in 6 weeks. Bugra was supportive with my nutrition. Sam and Krist are great coaches, I enjoy their classes. Alexis is kind and helpful with questions. I like that they incorporate community events and always have hair ties in the bathroom when I forget mine! ?

    Dropped in to Spark while here on work. I’ve never left a gym with Gym Envy till now. From the time I walked in till I walked out I had great experience. I’ll be taking notes!

    I was part of the six week challenge and crushed it with the help of the Sparks CrossFit staff. I was able to lose 23 pounds and 6% body fat. My personal coach that helped me with my meal plan, encouraged and supported me throughout this whole experience. Brandon Bailey and Abby Murphy continued to teach me what needed to do to strengthen my CrossFit skills. I am so glad for the opportunity to complete a challenge with Spark CrossFit. P.s. be prepared to buy new clothes.
