Like others have said: don't. They will kill your pet. It has been months and I haven't stopped crying because of what they did to my little chihuahua. Our dog, Stitch, came in for a "routine dental cleaning". They told me everything would be fine and he'd be okay for the holiday season. And two weeks later, on December 26, 2022, he was dead. Have the report that shows the reason he died because the team - in particular, the vet tech, Freddy - used a tube that was much too large for his small body. Have had other vets review the medical procedure report and all come to the same conclusion: they used the wrong sized tube. They told me that they would've FORCED the tube in for this to fit - TORTURING MY DOG. Forced it down with so much might that it RIPPED his throat apart. That's what other vets said to me when reviewing the medical report. They were absolutely shocked. Even the insurance company told me to put in a state board complaint after. The tube was so large that it tore his trachea. He suffered for TWO weeks with breathing problems, I would have to deflate him, and on numerous pain medications. He was so lost at what was happening. We barely slept because we had to deflate him in the middle of the night. We were in and out of emergency care. The hospital tried to save him by repairing the tracheal tear and he died on the operating table. Also, the amount of deflecting of the blame was mind blowing. Instead, we were directed to their insurance company to be "dealt with" in the end when we were broken hearted, emotional, trying to get answers, and lost. All we wanted to do was sit down with the vet team especially Dr. Sosnow and with a mediator present to discuss what went wrong. Instead, we were told to talk to their insurance agency. That their lawyers told them not to talk to us. Again let me reiterate that even the insurance agency was shocked and appalled once they read the report! Others I know were told that went back to this office was that they acknowledge their errors and fixed the procedure. But we never got an apology. Sosnow and team hid behind attorneys instead. We were treated so poorly because sadly, pets are property in this state and not family. I would not recommend coming here unless you want a dead family member!

Great Vet! Dr Giffors helped me with getting my cat cleaned up from the street. I took White Boy Rick into my home. He was feral and now is a part of my family.

Very impressed by the techs, the doctor, and front desk workers! They were very nurturing to our two cats, Sol and Luna. A few days after the neuter we were able to come back for free to ask about a concern, which was very comforting to us!

I met Dr Sowsnow at a different clinic that has now become part of this clinic. Dr Soesnow saved my baby’s life. If your animal is lethargic take them in and get blood work cause there is a nasty thing called IMHA that can take your baby if you don’t catch it in time! About the clinic: I have not been to this location yet, my dad took my little girl cause I had to work. They were totally accommodating and my baby came back all kinds of happy (from blood work!!!). They are great! I love them. They are not price forgers either/very affordable. Pay the extra 25-50 bucks a month for insurance cause when the doc say you need to get your baby help you need to do what they say! I chose Best Pets insurance and they have been great. A good Vet and good insurance and life is much less stressful. Thank you Phoenix Dog Cat Bird!!!

I could not have asked for better care and understanding at the end of my Buster's life. They showed the warmth, compassion and understanding we all need when losing our fur babies or any animal you love. Thank you seems such a weak word for the appreciation and gratitude I feel. When it's time to rescue a new fur baby...They are my Vet! I am coming back in to say Thank You to Everyone who has Liked my "Buster's" Pics! It warms my heart ❤️

This animal hospital was a blessing when I needed one for my Lola. From the first encounter getting her antibiotics to saying our last goodbyes to our sweet girl. The whole team was amazing and definitely worth the drive from Wittmann. Thank you for being so gentle with her when she needed it most, we are so appreciative. I wish we would’ve found you sooner.

My cat, milo, had to be put down but before that, I tried desperately to save him. This team of doctors and nurses did everything they could to save him; did everything they could to make him comfortable but still kept grounded in reality that this might not be a thing and prepared me for what would ultimately be his end. I can't thank them enough for everything that they did and the comfort they gave before, during and after everything was said and done. I plan on being a forever client whenever I find my second best friend because I know that they are gonna have the best care possible no matter what.

They are skilled, informational and very professional. Lots going on in one place and you couldn't tell. My fur baby son 🐾🐾 would shake and cry just with the atmosphere of his last vet. Here he is on visit 2 and goes in with grunts (his way of communicating) but is more relaxed and walks out like a champ. They do good work of healing our family.

The ladies here were the "sweetest"! They stayed open to take care of my puppy's urgent situation. They went above & beyond for me and Greenleaf. Unfortunately he went back to the adoption center to be evaluated and before I knew it he was re-adopted rather than tended to. Unfortunate outcome but I pray he's being loved on and taken care of a fraction of as much as I did in the few days I had him. Still my furever baby. I'd bring any future pets here without hesitation & if I were you, I would too! Special thinks to Stephanie at the front desk, she takes her role very seriously & I appreciate you more than ever! Thank you SOO much Phx Dog/Cat Hospital! #GreeniesMommy

We've been taking all of our pets (multiple cats and a dog) here for years, and we'll keep coming back as long as we live in the area. The staff are friendly, they always have appointments available quickly, and the doctors are top notch. I want to give a special shout-out to Dr. Bilsland, who has saved the lives of at least two of my cats when they had complex medical problems. She knows cats, and she was able to correctly diagnose and treat uncommon medical problems that we had never heard of. We love her and are lucky she's looking out for our cats!

So happy we found this place. For over 12 years we have been taking our pets to another local vet, Alta Vista, and when our oldest sadly had an emergency health problem they wouldn’t even schedule an emergency visit to see him and instead referred us to some emergency places (where we ultimately had to put him down). We switched to Phoenix Dog Cat Bird Hospital and couldn’t be happier— they truly care about us and our pets, and I’m confident that in an emergency emergency they will take time to get us in and do whatever they can to help us

GREAT TEAM! YOU WILL NOT REGRET TAKING YOUR FUR BABY HERE. We recently adopted a stray and named him Dracula. I took him to the humane society where they were not able to fully treat him due to his severe under socialization. We've had him for two months now and in those two months we struggled to find any vet that would take us as new patients because of our little guy's behavioral problems. I was completely defeated and ready to give up but Fast forward to the day I called PHX DC&B Hospital. The very moment Stephanie (up at the front desk) picked up the phone, I KNEW we were in good hands. First: Stephanie is AMAZING! She's warm, welcoming and straight to the point. She did a great job hearing me out about our concerns and met every single worry with total transparency and compassion. I'm a first time pet owner and totally new to cats so this reassurance was huge. Fast forward to the day of exam. Our Vet tech was Thomas and we were set up with Dr. B as our vet. THOMAS YOU ARE AMAZING AND THOROUGH!!! and DR B YOU ARE AMAZING AND SO COMPASSIONATE!!! They were like sincere animal whisperers. Dracula was so still and patient with every single thing they checked for. When I expressed amazement at this, Dr.B joked that he was just too frightened to move but even so- the way in which they navigated caring for our cat was amazing because he was a totalllllly different little dude under their care. I felt like they genuinely cared about him as if he were their own which made all the difference. At one point towards the end, he did get frightened and escape the carrier. (THIS WAS COMPLETELY MY FAULT) I felt horrible that we were making things difficult for the staff who had to chase Drac. I was also embarrassed. I never got to meet the rest of the staff but just from what I heard when they worked together to wrangle him back into his carrier, I knew they were also amazing. Not only were they able to get Drac back into his carrier they were STILL able to calm him down and treat him even after all of this, and thennnnn they spent that entire time after the incident, reassuring us. I can't tell you how many times Dr. B made it a point to let us know that she understands and how often she spoke directly to Dracula. She empathized with us and with him and she consistently reminded us that rescue cats just need some extra love and time and that they've been through a lot. I noticed somebody here had said they drive 5 hours just to see this team. I'm lucky enough to live 7 minutes away but after today, I know that I would ALSO drive 5 hours to see these docs again, in a heart beat. Thank-you again PDCB Hospital. Your team is amazing and you truly have changed our lives.

Dr Sosnow and her team are the absolute best. I have been seeing her and her team for 6 years and they have always treated my dogs like family. Thanks to her quick action, my dog, Ammo, survived a life threatening illness through emergency surgery. I would never go anywhere else!

Dr Laura Susnow was as lovely as she was made out to be by the friend who recommended this veterinarian. Good to make a getting to know you visit so that, when your dog is actually sick, you don't have to wait two weeks to get in. Once you are established, the responsiveness is really good.

Thank you for accommodating my less than cooperative dog. She is a rescue and totally melts down to the point of physically vibrating and near hyper ventilation when going to the vet. Your staff is so awesome with her and so patient. It means so much and I really, truly appreciate it beyond words.

My 4 now 3 dogs have been coming here for about 5 years and they have had incredibly wonderful, highly competent care from Dr. Sosnow and her team. I’m elderly and have experienced many vet practices and animals over the years. This is the absolute best!

Helpful front desk staff. I was a a bit late, but they let me keep my appointment. The various steps involved in the appointment for my new puppy.. weight, wellness exam and getting chipped, were seemless. Friendly vet tech and Lara, the vet, is the best!!! You can tell she really loves animals and her job.

Bennit's new vet sat on the floor and petted him during her exam. He was happy and relaxed. Then she took him to another room for his bloodwork and vaccines. When the tech brought him back, he tried to follow out. That’s him waiting for her to return AFTER he got shots 🤣 He’s in good health and has what he needs to travel to Thailand. I'm not surprised she said he needed to lose 7lbs. Choncy boy doesn't know he's going on a diet. I would highly recommend this place. Bennit approved 👍👍

I had the best experience taking my dog Diva and have a growth on her knee looked at. The staff was amazing everybody was so kind and gentle with her. Dr. Lara Sosnow even sat on the ground to make my baby feel more comfortable versus putting her up on the table that she was afraid of. I just took her in for an initial consultation they were able to squeeze her in that day and have the growth removed. The entire office staff and clinicians were amazing. I won’t be going anywhere else again . I followed up the following day to see how she was doing and I was instructed to call with any questions. ❤️ this place

Couldnt have asked for a better first visit ! We got our own room to fill out paperwork and we were treated like family. As a first-time cat owner they made me feel welcomed and confident I chose the right place. Me and Emma are happy to call Phoenix Dog/Cat Hospital our new Vet :)

I’ve had such great experiences with this place. First off, the staff is great. Both friendly and knowledgeable. They take time to answer all my questions (with a smile). The care they’ve given my pup has been fantastic. At other vets I’ve felt the interaction with my dog was very clinical. Here the staff and doctors all engage with my pup in a friendly way. I have no idea what goes on inside the mind of a dog, but seems to me this team’s friendly approach puts my little girl at ease before her exam. Thanks so much to the team here!

Dr. Giffords has gone above and beyond for us and our pup! Our dog has been having seizures on and off since December and we have seen tons of vets for her trying to get to the cause, and find a solution that works for her. He has been so helpful in the process, and has given us such peace of mind. He is just an absolute pleasure to work with everytime. I couldn't be happier about all he's done for us and our dog! If you want a vet that will go above and beyond and actually cares about every animal this clinic is amazing and everyone who works there is the sweetest. I could keep going forever how thankful I am that I found this vet, but I will end it there and just say you can't go wrong with this clinic!

I have brought my puppo, Bebe, to this location a few times now and especially this most recent visit with Dr. Fosno, they are always so pleasant and friendly to both me and my dog. The doctors and staff are very aware of the personality of the pet and give the best service and suggestions for the best care.

Very clean & accommodating facility. However, my experience was strange & I’m not sure if I’ll return quite yet. The veterinarian did not introduce herself to me until I asked her, her name several moments after her being in the exam room in complete silence. Though she seemed confident & knowledgeable; she went ahead & prescribed my cat medication without explaining to me what it was for. I felt as if I was leading the entire appt & asking questions that I shouldn’t have had too. She then recommended I see an orthopedic surgeon but had no recommendations for me as to where to go. I still rate the facility & staff well but my own personal experience wasn’t the greatest.

Fabulous care and team at this vet. I take all 5 of my furry family members here and the staff knows them all by name. Truly a great experience; knowledgeable, passionate, and kind with a family feel. Your babies are in good hands here.

Caring, compassionate staff. Even though we booked an appointment by mistake at a different vet, they still made time for us. Clean rooms and office. Add these pros to your emergency rotation.

I’ve been taking my old man Coffee here for as long as I’ve had him, and I can’t imagine taking him anywhere else. It’s been at *least* 7 or 8 years now, and they’ve helped him through not only regular checkups but also a surgery on his leg, and I trust them like family with my old and anxious rescue boy. I cannot praise Dr. Sosnow enough and say enough good things about her, she’s incredible! Recently we worked with a Frank who made us feel like he genuinely cared about the well being of our pet, not just on the surface. Everyone we’ve encountered there is great, this is the place you want to take your baby!

We have taken our dog Bailey to this vet for a few years now after they took over the practice for her previous vet that passed away. They were always absolutely amazing, compassionate, and attentive. Sadly, last week, we had to make the decision to help our fur baby over the rainbow bridge as her health was declining rapidly. To the office staff that answered my call, the vet tech that assisted us, and the Veterinarian that saw us that day, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your kindness, compassion and the dignity you gave our Bailey.

Dr. Schisler is wonderful to work with. She listened closely to my concerns and was thorough when examining my cat. She explained my cat’s illness and answered all my questions. The staff is kind and courteous. My cat and I have been coming here for 16 years and have always been treated well. They are the reason my cat has lived for 16 years after being diagnosed with feline leukemia.

Dr. Schissler is the best! Always responsive and takes great care of my cats. Always puts my mind at ease and makes sure she’s putting the animals first. Best vet by far!

This week I took my cat in because he was coughing, wheezing, hardly eating, and had lost a lot weight. The vet immediately did blood work and an X-ray and noticed that he had fluid in his lungs. They advised me to leave him overnight. My cat’s care team was amazing! They kept me updated by calling me and they helped nurse him back to health ❤️. This office is now my official vet. They took very good care of my poor little guy and were very compassionate towards me. I would recommend this hospital to anyone!
