Make sure you have gas in your car. You have to drive around and around about 5 blocks. If the lot is full, I have driven around and around about 8 times before entering. The service is quick once you enter very nice employees and volunteers. A big thanks to the security employees, they keep everything in order. Thank You๐Ÿ’œ

This place is amazing, extremely understanding and welcoming. They have people from the military giving out the food and it literally brings tears to my eyes every time. Everyone you come in contact with has the best attitude. I was embarrassed and ashamed my first time going. The staff there treated me with respect and made me feel comfortable. I will always recommend this place as well as all my donations will go here. Thank you for your service! You all deserve so much!!

Come prepared and alert! 3 lines of traffic. Security directing, Employee's checking you in, have ID ready. The whole process is as easy as a drive thru McDonald's minus payment. Be polite, courteous, and patient while your serviced. What is for you will be for you.

Sometimes the lines get so backed up they will momentarily close the line and ask people to lap back around until the lines allow room for more vehicles to enter the premises. I have had to lap around twice just to get in on more than one occasion. Typical wait times vary from 30 mins at the least and can extend up to 1 hour depending on if traffic is directed by assisting officers or not. I would suggest preparing yourself with water and possible window shades to help when your idling and don't have the best working AC. It makes a difference. They provide very helpful food items at times and always provide some kind of beverages and fresh produce as well as a non-perishable box of food items. No matter the situation everyone leaves with food. They don't turn families away when your clearly there and in need of help. I always appreciate and thank the volunteers and staff here. At times they really do suffer the heat to be there providing the help our communities need.

While I am grateful for help the delivery boxes were disappointing. They had not asked about allergens and we have gluten and nut allergies here so only one of my kids could eat the noodles, peanut butter and nuts, aside from that half the vegetables were rotten and could not be used. The rice and cans of beans were really the only things in there aside from some salvageable carrots, potatoes and zucchini but all the onions were rotten and much of the potatoes. Thats really all we were sent and while I didnt expect much and to be honest didnt know what to expect, there just really wasnt much in there, I appreciate the help and dont mean to sound like I dont but they maybe should at least ask about allergens because included were nuts and peanut butter which can be deadly. I cannot drive due to chronic illness and a lack of car so I was really hoping this would help us more. The rotten food was in particular confusing, Ive not heard of that before from a food pantry. People had suggested I try this for emergency help. I signed up two weeks ahead of time. I dont really know what to do but maybe if you need help this may not be the best place. I dont say it to be rude its just frustrating enough to be in a position like this without feeling like you were just handed rotten vegetables basically, it feels like Im less than a person and it was kind of a blow and if someone is trying to get help this is discouraging. Other food banks you drive to make a point of saying theres milk, bread, eggs, meat and fruit, to provide essential nourishment in their boxes and I kind of expected something like that I dont know what to expect but not rotten food? โ€ฆso if you can find someone to drive you and youre disabled/chronically ill and dont have a car, maybe dont do the delivery and go to a different place. I dont have anyone here in the city because I moved not long ago so I didnt have any ability to get a ride anywhere. The delivery woman was very nice though so I gave my review two stars instead of one.

They give large quantities of half spoiled vegetables that people without storage facilities cannot use. They do not take into consideration people with dietary restrictions. They offer very little healthy foods, and the amount is not enoufh to last even 7 days.

Two days prior to Thanksgiving & a family of 4 with 3 children under 9 yrs old & this is Arizona's largest food bank's assistance. Definitely wasn't expecting a holiday meal of any sort but come on, you need to do better!!

I went to the food bank on 31st ave and Thomas today. The guy asking for my ID wasn't very good w customer service. I have a family of 7 but only got a very little amount of food. I receiver a full case of Rockstar energy drinks(kids cannot drink that stuff) rotten bell peppers, rotten egg plant, a full bag of onions and a couple other things like bread and carrots and the normal box they give w peanut butter, rice etc.. Not really worth the trip down there if you're really struggling. I really wish they would provide better quality, unspoiled items. I was hoping for basics like milk, eggs, some type of meat but didn't recieve any of it. I'm still very grateful but wish the items could have been more useful.

Takes an 1 1/2 to get up front and waste lots of gas. But overall, I can't complain when you're in need. Thankful for all the people who donated to the food bank for they can provide to the community. I would hope they put it back to how they used to have it when you can park, fill out paperwork, and also apply for other services. Thanks for donating to help others ๐Ÿ™.

This one on Thomas Rd the only downfall is the wait in line and access due to COVID Standards still in place. You stay in your vehicle. The volunteers and staff come to your vehicle and confirm or enter you into the system... you pull forward with trunk open and they fill it up and you pull off. Blessings.

I'm on disability and I needed a little extra help this month. First time. After finally sorting out the address I drove down to 31st and Thomas the cop standing there was the rudest a hole I had ever seen ever. After getting past that dignity stealing jerk face and waiting in line for 45 minutes they give me 50 tomatoes 20 limes 3grocery bags full of kale and a box of Frozen apple Danish things that a family of four wouldn't be able to eat in 3 months along with some other items that I couldn't even give away to any of my neighbors. Even the homeless guy turned it down.. What a joke. Not to mention all the people with brand new cars sitting in line who obviously don't need any help with their measly little grocery bill. I think some of the volunteers are genuinely trying to help and a couple of them even smiled at me a little bit but mostly it was hand motions and cold responses to any questions. I would rather panhandle for 2 hours in front of QT and give frys the 10 bucks for some cans of beans then the subject myself to that again. A little respect and dignity would go a long way. Two stars instead of one because of the volunteers.

First time receiving a box and food from this place and there were worms in the bag of pistachios. The milk boxes were spoiled. And the fruit and vegetables were not good. Never again!! So much for helping people more like giving people food to throw away NOT OK!!

The staff that works here are always busy, busy, busy. But they have their system working really well for the volume of traffic they get here. They seem to always be professional and everyone is working together. It's true you have to wait a little bit, but look how many cars are there before you got there. I think they do a fantastic job with a service that is needed by so many.

I have been coming to this food bank for years now, I had never experienced any problems but lately the personnel here is extremely rude! I have put in a complaint once, but today once again I came because I am in need of groceries and I got treated terribly the person getting my info was not the rude one but she did write โ€œno efbโ€ on my window which I wasnโ€™t aware of what it meant so as someone was walking by my car that works here I asked what โ€œno efbโ€ meant and he was extremely rude to me! Answering me that means youโ€™ve been here too many times you wonโ€™t get food! And I was like ok do I still wait in line? And heโ€™s like โ€œwell yeah! But youโ€™re not getting foodโ€ I have personally spoke to the manager Scott about a trouble I had in the past and he was very attentive and empathetic about the whole situation but this personnel just treat you like theyโ€™re the ones buying and handing the groceries from their pocket I can understand rules but donโ€™t be rude and make people feel bad for asking for food!!!! I have been a volunteer here in the past and from personal experience I always treated people with a very happy and welcoming persona. As people should not everyone here is rude and moody but after so many bad experiences Iโ€™d stay away from this place from now onโ€ฆ

Very very long line but this is the best food bank I've been To. They give away so much food and it's actually good food like meat and cookies and milk. I feel like many people must take advantage of this program. Ive only ever gone twice n that's when I had to or starve. I had no money nor even a dollar n no food in the kitchen..I understand everyone needs a helping hand I certainly did and still do. But If your driving a brand new car maybe drive something a little cheaper n pay for your own food. No hate again I know people lose jobs emergencys can happen. Not judging

The line wasn't bad, in and out in about 30 minutes. 2 Meals did not need an additional purchase that is if you consider spaghetti a meal. 10 pounds of jalapeno peppers, really not a clue. Don't mean to sound ungrateful but this run will not save me from being hungry for several days this month.

They never deliver food to me even after I call and they say I'm on the list. A manager will be notified and I will get a call back. It never happen. No call back. Every time I call to ask if they are delivering to me, I always get very rude women on the phone. The last one kept cutting me off after asking me questions. Then she hung up on me. I left negative feedback and I was told I would get a call back from a manager, it never happened. You think working at a religious place customer service wouldn't be so evil and rude to people who in need of food.

Love this place! They have consistently helped me during some tough times. I just wish more people took advantage of it. I used to be embarrassed to get food boxes because of my pride that all has changed. #stmarysforthewin

Always so much fun volunteering at St. Maryโ€™s with the Terra Team! Love the music blasting. Love how organized everything is. Love how they tell us how many boxes we packed. This last round was 1,800 boxes!! ๐Ÿ“ฆ I highly recommend for large groups or by yourself!

I was here on 7:30 on the dot (opening time)and the line was already backed up to the end . The security would not let me go into a lane that was halfway empty and instead directed me to go to the lane that was already full. Makes no sense.

Requested home delivery because my family's vehicle broke down and we couldn't get to any surrounding stores or the food bank. After waiting TWO WEEKS for a delivery appointment (because that was the only window they had) we were delivered a box of entirely molded produce, spaghetti noodles, and a small jar of peanut butter. If you don't believe me simply read through other reviews that outline the same. They use home service as a means to dispose of rotted produce they're too lazy to toss out themselves. If you need food that bad, find any means possible to go there yourself with a cart or something, because the level of service you get for in-person vs. home service is like comparing freshly squeezed orange juice to that weird liquid at the bottom of your trash bag. It becomes even more infuriating when you go to their website and see them using children in their ads to promote how they help "feed hungry families" or some nonsense. If anyone at St. Mary's is reading this, you're not helping anyone by delivering food that the pigeons who frequent my apartment complex's dumpster wouldn't even eat. Anyone in actual need should call St. Vincent De Paul instead. Sure, they only deliver every other week, BUT they bring you almost two weeks worth of ACTUAL GROCERIES, not literal garbage. If you're hungry enough that you'd eat rotted vegetables, reach out to someone, anyone, just not these people.

St Mary's Food Bank never came thru for me and mine. I scheduled a food box delivery. My family and mys lf have had it very hard. As alot have. They never showed. I am still upset over this. To see my children go without food after St. Mary's food bank promised to deliver us food. OMG. Really

Very grateful! However they have a new system of pick up... You wait in ur car.... it took about an hour. Definitely quicker, but I have to wonder how they think people that can't afford food would be able to pay for the gas to sit there for an hour. Even if you turn ur engine off in the middle of moving from one line to another, still a lot of gas. Definitely not designed with much consideration of why we are there to begin with... CAR POOL IF YOU CAN!! THEY ALLOW SEVERAL FAMILIES IN ONE VEHICLE!!
