👍👍 Always a strange concept when you're paying over $100 (for 2) to eat on paper without utensils, but that's the charm to this chain. Outstanding service. Outstanding food. 10/10 would go again. People often mention great, good, service, time, crab, seafood, server, shrimp, ordered, sauce,

Great place for Louisiana style seafood. Eat with your fingers (or a fork) and make a mess. It isn't a cheap place to eat if you order by the pound, but it is worth it. Staff was friendly and the food was fast and hot. Speaking of hot. Order low on the spice scale. I did a 1 and was feeling it. My wife can handle the hottest spice at any Mexican restaurant in town and she was barely at a 3. Wife had a 2lb Lobster and I had 2lb muscles with 1lb clams. $100 or so without any alcohol.

Sooo good. We come here every time we're in North Phoenix and get 2 lbs of king crab. We love their trifecta sauce. Service is good.

I've never done a negative review before this. My family and I decided to meet up at Angry Crab on Happy Valley Rd. I knew they didnt take reservations but called ahead , as a courtesy, to let them know we were a group of 8, and would be there at 2:30. The person on the phone said they only had two tables that could accomodate a group that size. She told us they had just seated two groups and since 2:30 was 45 minutes away we should not have too long of a wait. We arrived at 2:20 and the hostess took our temperatures ( Covid) and explained we would have to wait outside on the patio. It was 105 degrees outside. We said OK, and ordered some beverages to drink while we waited. I was told I would be texted as soon as our table was ready. We waited, outside, half an hour later we got a text that asked if we'd be willing to split up the group ,even though we checked in and were added to the list when we arrived. We talked to the server and he told us they sat down another large party, that arrived after us, by mistake. The manager did not have the courtesy to come and talk to us. We asked how long it would be , the server went inside to check, came back and said "about half an hour". Once again, Indifferent, no apology, and no manager interaction. We decided to leave at that point. We went across the street to Buffalo Wild Wings, were seated promptly and enjoyed the service as well as great food. My wife had never been to Angry crab, one of my Sons was really looking forward to it, Ive been there a few times. People make mistakes all the time, so what ? they set people down before us that arrived after us, things happen. It was the apathetic, so what, attitude of the staff and management that put a damper on an otherwise fine day. Imagine expecting us to wait outside in 105 degree heat for an hour just to eat overpriced and mediocre seafood. We went because it is an experience, not because it is a culinary delight. We did have an experience. A very negative one.

I had to update this review with comments. My wife and I used to swear by Hot n Juicy, another seafood boil place. The two are really different from a flavor standpoint. I LOVE the charred oysters. The shrimp is amazing with the Pacific Rim sauce. "Naked shrimp" is a welcomed addition! I am more than willing to pay a premium to not have to peel the shrimp. 😂 Our server, Sydney, was very nice and came over to check up on us regularly. We love this Angry Crab!

It was my first time there. The great news is that our waiter who took the order was awesome 👌, even the Mgr. Johnathan was great, I remember his name because that's my daughter's boss name. 2 of my grandkids and my sister had the kids burger. That burger looked amazing to be a kid size. I certainly hope they never change that. The fries looked amazing, my other 2 grandkids had chicken, 1 with bone in the other boneless, they were also satisfied. The unfortunate, was that they were out of the main food items at 8ish, that my daughter & son in law ordered. No crayfish, no fried pickles to be exact. My comment to the waiter, you all must have large crowds in the afternoon. With that being said; To be safe, I always order the Shrimp Po Boy, whenever I go to seafood places, because it'sa simple meal. Not to mention our family do crab and shrimp boils regularly and I can't see paying $75 upward and not getting as much as you anticipate. However, we understand that's how it goes in the business world. When my Po Boy arrived, it literally was on a wonderful piece of bread role, lots of lettuce, a couple slices of tomato, but the down fall, it only had 6 medium to small shrimp, that looked pre-breaded. That was disappointing. My son in law said we'll just have to continue to go to Hot & Juicy at Westgate.... overall the customer care, the workers were fabulous, we love them. If we just come back for the customer care that would be great. I placed 3 photos. Angry Crab had 6 pre-breaded shrimp. My Shrimp Po Boy, I did before photo, with my sauce, then put together with a red onion. I gave them a 4 because of customer service.

Hubbs and I wanted to try a new place for our date night. Tonight we gave Angry Crab, a try and it was so good! Our server Eddie was awesome too! We ordered the Surf no Turf and we also ordered their Cajun fries ( I love fries! ), the Cajin fries were soo good! The Surf No Turf had 3 small potatoes , we added 4 pieces of sausage , 3lbs of shrimp, 2 lobster tail, and 4 corn on the cob. We seasoned it with trifecta, went with medium heat, not hot at all, but had great cajun food flavor! The server gave us gloves, a plastic bib, and paper towels are at each table. We really enjoyed the dinner tonight! My hubby said "I think I'm choosing this place for my birthday!" He usually chooses 🍣 sushi 😉.

Love Angry due to its uniqueness and atmosphere. Great cajun-style seafood, hostesses are welcoming, servers are excellent (Mark took great care of us this last time). The boils are out of this world with as little or much spicy as you want. If you’re not in the mood for that, their other menu items are fit for kings as well. Beer is cold too. We’ve tried it all and never been disappointed.

I liked the fried lobster roll and gumbo. The restaurant felt more like a sports bar, and the food tasted more like fast food.

The food was great. I'll try a different sauce next time as I was tasting the trifecta the rest of the night. I loved the veggies that came with the salmon. My wife had the queen crab legs and said they were excellent.

Trying their Head off shrimp with Trifecta (Cajun, Lemon Pepper, Garlic) sauce with add on Clams and sausages, all these with the spice level of medium. In terms of spiciness it’s not too hot, and the trifecta sauce is fantastic, it mesh well with those seafood! The environment is good, staff is good, food is also good! I ate there alone but I would recommend at least a party of 2 to fully utilise the experience that angry crab can offer. The price is a bit expensive but that’s because I add on clam and sausages to try out as many thing as I can! Would recommend to friends and family!

We call at 7:32pm on 5/23/20 and asked if the restaurant was open for dine in. The hostess answered the phone said "Yes we are". We drive there then they inform us that it will be a 45 minute wait. They should have mentioned that on the phone so we would not have waisted our time and gas to drive there!

An overall good place to eat when you are craving seafood. Fast, and flavorful. Waitress was knowledgeable and attentive. It it is your birthday, they announce it to the whole restaurant.

Gift cards are a great way to get ya back to old favorites. Came in early and hungry and while we didn't see Gumbo Fries as an option in the menu, the waitress spoke highly of them and now we do too. That, plus a side salad then sharing 2 lbs of shrimp was actually more than we could eat. They packed up the remaining shrimp to enjoy later.

Came here on Mardi Gras last Tuesday. The decor and atmosphere of this place makes you feel as if you are in Louisiana, in some cajun backwater restaurant, complete with using your hands as utensils and a large paper table cloth as your plate. Which is fun, because I was licking some of the juices off my fingers (don't judge me on that). There is also writing all over the walls, which my four year old enjoyed adding her own artistic flair. But oh man....the price!! You would think you are fine dining with the price. We ordered a crawdad bucket, and chose spicy level at sizzling(no picture unfortunately), twin lobster rolls, and a kids meal for my 4 year old which consists of corn dog nuggets and fries. I also washed down everything with a blueberry alcoholic drink, and my husband enjoyed his candy gator beer. The crawdad bucket was tasty, however I probably wouldn’t order crawdads again. I do like how there are many different flavors of sauce to choose from, and then the varying levels of heat for your boil. I enjoyed my lobster rolls. My daughter didn’t enjoy her corndogs, but she is super picky. I must say prices are much higher than the last time I have visited any angry crab, but everything is getting expensive right now so eh. Our server was great, so that is good. Overall, a solid place to enjoy a good boil.

Walked right in on a Sunday during a football game and during after church hours and got sat right away. It was very comfy and familiar at the same time. The staff was lovely and was so laid back. I only been to the other AC at 75th Ave and I also had good service there. Got a picture of the oyster that we ordered. All the food was amazing. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwhich and there Cajun fries were sooooo delicious, very seasoned and crispy. I loved it best spicy sandwhich I ever had, I couldn't finish it was so much!

I just ordered king crab sausages eggs potatoes and added clams spent about 130 bucks for one. Everything was going good until I opened a clam and took a bite... It was filled with mud literal dirt it started crunching in my teeth until I spit it out and realized it was mud I've never been so disgusted in my life I'm so tired of paying so much for food and it not being prepared good this is the last time I'll ever go to this restaurant and I used to go here once a week and order king crab no more. The photo is when I grabbed after I spit the other one out I would need this one either I'm sure that's mud too.

Solidly, okay. Disappointment stemmed from the food and facilities, particularly for the price. 6.5/10 overall. Food: 5/10. Just okay. The shrimp felt overcooked, the king crab felt old or maybe just not fresh. It would not have been so frustrating if it hadn't cost $125 for the boil for two (before tax/tip). It didn't quite feel worth the price, and I felt a bit let down. The spice levels are also overstated-- the hot felt like black pepper. The spices themselves were pretty bland as well, very disappointing because we even selected the trifecta (cajun, lemon pepper, garlic). Either there just wasn't enough seasoning, or else they just call Old Bay cajun. Drinks were very nice, however-- I had both a sweet peach lemonade and a western son mojito, and regretted neither. Service: 10/10. Service was good, at least-- our server recommended and brought us sauce at a different level of spice on the side when we were dithering and couldn't decide. Pretty attentive, no complaints about service. Facilities: 6/10. Bathroom was a tiny bit scary. It smelled clean, but you'll see there are some dubious spots, including a hole in the ceiling, perhaps where a fan used to be? The paper towels are awkwardly located outside the bathrooms, between the men's and women's. Weird, as that means you have to touch the door handle without a paper towel coming out. Atmosphere: 7/10. Feels family friendly, a lot of TVs all around, mostly playing sports. We got there not long after opening on a Sunday (around 11am), and the crowds were sparse. People apparently doodle on the walls-- kind of charming in a backcountry kind of way, but it does make me wonder how often they clean the walls. Overall: I felt slightly disappointed, but also embarrassed because this was my selection, and I invited my best friend because it was her birthday. It really bummed me out that this was what we got.

Stopped in here for a late night fix, ordered King Crab, Lobster, and Shrimp in their most popular sauce combo. King crab legs were smaller than I expected but still really good, the knuckles were the best part as they had the most meat. Lobster was good but not great, shrimp were really good. Would definitely revisit.

Got the clam chowder and jambalaya (slightly spicy). Super good. If you don’t like yelling, you’d better hope there’s no birthdays when you go. The employees get LOUD. They have a deal every October, their throwback pricing. Which means you can save about 40% on a half pound of snow crab. If we don’t get the soups, we get the trifecta boil (3 flavors - Cajun, lemon pepper, and another flavor I can’t remember), spice level 2 (barely spicy).

Rude hostess, acted like our family was a bother to want to dine on a Sunday. Managers non existence on the floor was not helping matters. Glad they had a nice meal at the table in the corner though. To be fair my server was nice. The 1st impression and last impression from the host stand is what I won't forget when choosing a dining option.

Our visit was much better the second time. Went for wife's 47th birthday lunch. Megan was our waitress, she was great! We had a dozen raw oysters to start, they were very small but fresh, horseradish was great, super hot which means good quality. Then we had 1 lb of crab, 1lb mussels, 1lb shrimp ,veggies , potatoes, sausage and corn, and bread to clean up our garlic mess! The bread is a must to get all of that sauce. We always get the trifecta #3 heat level, we tried the #4 on the side ,no difference in heat , both being mild for us but flavorful . Next time we will get the #5 heat. Finished off with a rootbeer float complimentary. For under 100$ not including tip, we had a great meal and didn't need dinner we were so full. (Photo of all the seafood together is just 1/2 of what we got, wanted to keep it warm in the bags)

First time here, very disappointed.ordered drinks they sat at bar for over 10min waiting to be picked up and delivered to table..ordered our food 2 meals came out the 3rd we waited over 10 min for..we were there to celebrate my brothers birthday and it so happened it was his meal we had to wait for..how is it that the whole meal for a table doesn't arrive at same time..his meal was cold and vegetables were not cooked. Worst experience ever..managers need to get the kitchen in order..manager offered to recook the meal 20 min later it arrived..my brother didn't even want it..got it to go..absolutely no excuse for this..all of this situation was mangers issues with staff and flow of kitchen..will not be back to this restaurant..have other family that have eaten at angry crab and liked it..not me soo much

Excellent food and the service was outstanding!! Our waitress took great care of us and more importantly hung out (we got there right when it opened so we were the only ones in there for a while) and listened to my retired father and his many, many, sometimes funny and interesting stories. My dad was extremely happy and in a good mood the rest of the day which is really saying something, lol.

Great place. Amazing resteraunt great food and awesome service. The management at this location is superb. Some of my favorite items here are the Gator nuggets (yes real alligator in Arizona) and the Cajun fries. The seasoning for these fries is the best that I have ever had. Wish I had that recipe. I hope they do as well at all of their new locations that are popping up over the valley. I will definitely be going back.

As most seafood goes, the majority of us look for that perfect balance of quantity and quality, but mixed in that thought in the back of our head.....price. Needless to say, I wasn't a huge fan of that Cajun spicy flavor, until I came here. And if I had to make any recommendation, 1 lbs of King crab legs and a lobster tail to finish it off, and that is one meal I won't forget. The amount of crab meat I had pulled off should be enough to satisfy any seafood officianado. And I didn't even use melted butter!! The food was worth every penny and it makes most other seafood restaurants look like broke down soup kitchens. The atmosphere was great and I had to only wait maybe 15 minutes on a Friday night for a table. And yes, they were busy! Our server, Zack, definitely made sure that we were taken care of, so my hats off to him! So if you want good seafood and a reasonable price, sail on over to this place, wear the bib they give you, cause it gets messy, but that is all part of the attraction! 5 stars to you my friends, I finally found my new seafood home!!
