This place is trash ! DO NOT come here. I’m not sure if it’s a real L&L franchise or a knock off !!! To me it seemed like a knock off wannabe L&L. The place looks like it’s 30-40 years old. It was a waste of my money. They have soy sauce and sriracha in regular bottles marked soy sauce on a piece of tape. So all of us “thousands of us” can share the bottle and pass it around like Covid doesn’t exist. When I walked in the guy didn’t even welcome me or act friendly. My spam wasn’t fully cooked neither was my meat. They gave me more chicken than actual meat on my combo. It doesn’t taste like the franchise L&L barbecue. The restaurant itself doesn’t have the vibe of a L&L restaurant. There was trash on the floor including glass in one corner. A broken window covered with a piece of plywood. They got their own menu. Stuff I’ve never even seen before. Don’t wast your time here. I ate here and it was not welcoming. I’d understand if it wasn’t an L&L restaurant but don’t call it and L&L restaurant because L&L does not look like this.

We should have never come in when we saw nobody at the restaurant on a Saturday night! We decided to try it because we had a coupon, but it was definitely not worth it. At first, the man behind the desk didn't want to honor it even though it was legit part of a coupon book for businesses in Norterra. He did finally honor it, and once we got our food, it tastes awful or super bland. I got the garlic shrimp healthy plate, and the shells were still on! The shrimp was super bland, and it came with a side of rice and an unappetizing salad. My spouse had the Kalua pork bowl and it was also tasteless. My son had a simple cheeseburger and fries and he was feeling sick once we got home. The atmosphere was also outdated and uninviting...it didn't feel very clean either. I am surprised that this restaurant in Norterra is surviving. We will never come back here again, under any circumstances! Worst place I have ever eaten for fast casual food!

They USED to be good. My husband and I used to frequent this place but man, has it gone downhill. The quality and quantity just isn't there, and it certainly doesn't justify the price. It's so awful. I was so upset that I had this meal, and vow to never return. The BBQ beef was not sweet, which it should be. It was bland but also had a vinegar taste to it? They were very thin strips with nothing to them. The meat quality was horrible. The chicken katsu was mostly breading and very little chicken and also extremely bland. The katsu sauce was watery and also no flavor. The mac salad also had no flavor and not the creamy, tuna filled mac I'm used to. It was like they bought it from the Walmart deli or something, which would arguably be better than what this was. The white rice was probably the best part, because how can you mess up white rice? You really can't. The tables were dirty and the trash had not been taken out from the previous day and we were literally the first people in the door when they opened, so there's no excuse for that. Not only that, but if you say your opening time posted on your hours is 10am, then maybe you should open at 10am, NOT 10:15am or anything after that. Please stay away. It's not worth your hard earned money AND there are way better Hawaiian barbecue places, like Leo's Hawaiian Barbecue. Even Ono is better than this!

Our work ordered a large amount of food for employees appreciation twice. The beef was pretty much gristle, the chicken was bland, I thought maybe it was because it was such a large order, so I ordered a meal for myself once to see if it was better, extremely disappointed.

So underrated. Food was super good, came with a great portion. Employee frowned for some reason when I asked a to-go box

It's a great spot for a quick lunch when you don't want fast food. They have a great variety of food and generous portions. It gets hot inside which is ok for winter or a grab and go, but is noticeable when dining in. Will continue to go because I like the food and is priced right.

Flavor was not good, and the portion size is way smaller than what you paid for. The short ribs are very thin and not a lot of veggies. Do not recommend

No way is this the same as the other restaurants. Food over cooked Macaroni salad doesn't even taste the same as the other stores. Watered down sauce Horrible experience, 17.49 for my plate that I just threw away

If you haven't tried this place, I definitely recommend! The food is incredible and huge portions for the price. We took food home for lunch the next day. We had BBQ chicken, kalua pork, chicken katsu. The rice and macaroni salad is phenomenal! Staff is so friendly!

Wish I could leave zero stars they don’t deserve even one . I ask the guy for the family combo deal usually about $55 He gave me 3 plates Charged me $60 Then pretend not to speak very good English . There quality of food is gross and under cooked . Won’t be surprise if the health department doesn’t shut them down soon . Waste of $60 and now I’m still hungry kids didn’t even like it . I will now take the time to drive to Leo Hawaiian barbecue. They at least have real Hawaiian soy sauce .

Went today for a Chicken BBQ Bowl, priced at $9.75. No one greeted me upon walking in. Should of taken the scarce patrons around lunchtime as a hint. I was charged over 11$ for basically barely $5 dollars worth of food. Two pieces of broccoli constitute as "steamed veggies" and the rest was some cabbage/carrot mix, that costs next to nothing. All on top of a heaping bed of rice. No sauce, or BBQ sweetness at all. The chicken tasted funny, which caused me to not want to finish this meager meal. This will be my last time coming here.

Not too many places still offer Lau lau these days. We always get the Manapua while there and Poke is always fresh too, albeit costly. Can't beat this place for good loco food. We drive/ride 45 minute to this place, well worth our time & money. Went for lunch and the food wasn't bad. The place is clean. Will visit occasionally but not regularly, I love their BBQ beef. I wish their Kimchi portion was bigger as it is the kind that I prefer. They do a huge lunch business.

This is one of my favorite places for lunch, and sometimes dinner. We are hooked on their BBQ chicken saimin. I haven't had decent saimin since we were in Hawaii. The chicken broth is heavenly. The owners are friendly and work really hard. It seems like there are generations of family working there. If you are anywhere near Happy Valley, please give this place a try.

Ordered the katsu curry plate. It was good but I think they need a little more curry sauce on the chicken. Is very clean in there and well decorated but the staff is not very personable. I'm not necessarily there to get smiled at I'm only there to eat but it is nice to get both. Portion was large!!!

L&L never disappoints. It's been 4 years since the last time I've ate at an L&L location, last onenwas back in Cali. I knew there was a location here in AZ but I'm lazy and didn't want to drive out 40 minutes I'm fear that it wouldn't be as good. After finally losing to the craving I drove out, hoping and praying it will be as good as the ones back home. Needless to say it was just as good as I remember. From the macaroni salad and chicken katsu, down to the tiki decor, it was a perfect experience. Definitely worth a stop in, definitely worth traveling out to get here.

Been coming here for a long time now because the food is great and had the worst service ever. Ordered an extra side of the macaroni salad for $3.50 and it’s not cheap. I checked the bag when I got home and was missing the extra side of the macaroni salad. I called the place, told them I had ordered the extra 2 scoops and didn’t receive it. The guy had no idea what I was talking about. I kept explaining it to him that I had ordered the extra 2 scoops for $3.50 and it wasn’t in my bag. The guy helping ended up hanging up on me lol. I was so mad because it’s not cheap to eat out anymore and I spent money and didn’t receive part of my order. I didn’t bother calling back since the guy couldn’t even understand what I was saying. Terrible service and the app is even worse. No option to say anything was missing or anything. Always check your bags before leaving.

Food was EXCELLENT Kaluah pork is AMAZING and the Seafood combo is WONDERFUL. The service was less than desirable. The staff are rude and unwelcoming. If you need extra sauce, napkins, ANYTHING it felt like we were an inconvenience.

The food tastes as to be expected which is delicious. With the table in front of the ordering register and the language barrier, ordering can be uncomfortable. I was surprised that there was no siracha condiment and the soy sauce container was almost empty which shows lack of attention or care. Three employees were on their phones so it's not like there wasn't time. There's room for improvement on customer service side for sure but the food was good, hopefully safe.

Food was very good. my first time eating here, I was surprised. The customer service was excellent and quick.

Food is delicious as always. But the service here is pretty poor and the workers hardly speak any English. The prices are high and they don’t give that much food. We had to order more midway through eating. Also no customers in the building except us. Bad sign.

I should have read the reviews online before I went in. As soon as I walked in, I wanted to turn around and walk out and should have. The place is very dirty. There are all kinds of fingerprints and dirt all over the windows and the counter and there's a lot of clutter hanging from the walls that's been up there for years. It doesn't look clean inside at all. They have their "A" rated restaurant inspections from 2017, 2018, 2019 hanging up. Everyone shares the same pump for soy sauce and teriyaki sauce and barbecue sauce. The staff is all wearing masks, but I'm not sure that that means much. The food wasn't very fresh and didn't have much taste and took less than 2 minutes to prepare. I wouldn't go back.

The meat is quite a lot But if there's less burned meat it would be better The the cabbage taste bitter too
