The food was fresh and delicious. I chose a chicken salad and I told them to not put salt in my food. Since my body has a bad reaction to sodium. They listened. So simple things like this meant a lot to me. All in all, every worker was approachable, attentive & kind. The music was lively!

Great all around spot with wide menu nice bar area with evening attractions like Kariokie and bands. Plenty of parking and two sides to the restaurant one more for family and one for adult

My wife and I tried Heart & Soul Cafe on a Saturday morning. Though it is a small restaurant they had no trouble seating us right away. The service was nice and timely. We had a hard time deciding what to get because everything looks good. I ordered the breakfast wet burrito and it was delicious. Very impressed with the green chili. My wife ordered the chilaquiles and loved it! The coffee was a little weak and not at the same level as the food. Overall, a great place for breakfast or brunch!

Great place and we love the retro decor. Food was delicious. SERVER WAS FRIENDLY and very pleasant. We sat in the 50'scar inside and had lunch.. Very nice place. We have had breakfast on our last visit and it was equally nice.

We have been frequenting a lot of restaurants in Cave Creek stopped in for dinner at Heart & Soul.  We thought the restaurant was closed, we've driven past it before NOT realizing that the restaurant has 2 entrances.  One is the saloon side and I'm not sure what the other side is called.  On this night, we almost kept on driving by again, thinking that the "saloon" was closed. Once inside it was a nice surprise to see that the band was warming up.  The restaurant had a limited menu, I wish I would've been able to take a picture, the selections were AMAZING! We decided on a wedge salad with a side of chicken, wings, and a BBQ Burger.  The food was amazing!! We will have to come back to try the unique pizza selections, yes PIZZA at a saloon. We were very pleased with the service, overall a 5-star visit. And the band was okay. Give them a try if you're ever in Cave Creek, it's worth the drive if you don't live near the restaurant!

Dropped by Heart and Soul Cafe for a business breakfast and it was a hit! The food was top-notch, bursting with flavor, and the service was quick on their feet, making sure our morning meeting went without a hitch. The atmosphere struck just the right note of lively and cozy, making it the perfect backdrop for a productive start to the day. Definitely a gem worth returning to!

I want to start off with the positives 1st: 1. They atmosphere is very nice, it's all about the 50's including a car & old gas station pump. 2. The service was great, our waitress was very friendly, courteous & attentive she is the only reason why I gave this review 3 stars. FYI My wife & I ate everything but we were absolutely starving when we got there. Now for the negatives: Before I list them I want to let you know we may have made a mistake ordering the fish fry, it could possibly be that they have really good food but the negatives are just based on the fish fry, drink and dessert we ordered only so take it just for that and make your own opinion. 1. The fish although juicy was tasteless, the breading they used for the batter had no taste at all. 2. The french fries were limp not at all crispy, totally soggy full of grease(or whatever they use). 3. I had a Arnold Palmer which had no taste, it was more like water with a drop of lemon. I even thought it was water when the waitress served it to me, I was disappointed. My wife that was served a mojito seemed watered down, very little alcohol in it, no flava she was disappointed. 4. We had a churro cheese cake it was OK the cheese cake was super dense could be lighter, lots of Carmel, I believe they used churro for the crust but it was all crumbled, lots of cinnamon, nice but I'd give it a 6/10 could be better. Ultimately the waitress needs to look at what she serves before serving it. I find had she done that and asked herself would I eat or drink this she should have stopped it at the bar or kitchen and had it redone. So although I praised our waitress this is something she should have checked before bringing these to us. My wife and I will return and try another round here in the future something other then the fish fry and if it's better I will amend this review appropriately.

Stopped by here to have breakfast with a friend. Had the Crazy Cowboy. The gravy and the green sauce was excellent. The chicken fried steak was crisp and tasty. We also split a tamale. The red sauce had an abundance of flavor with a nice amount of heat. So glad we ate here. Nice surprise to find such outstanding food on a spur of the moment decision.

Stopped here for brunch, and it was fantastic. The menu had something for everyone. Potion sizes for both kids and adults were large. The staff were friendly and efficient. I initially wasn't excited when I saw the tutor tots...BUT they tasted homemade and were extremely crispy and delicious! Would eat here again.

Great breakfast spot with friendly and efficient service, a clean and well-maintained restaurant, and a great menu. The Mexican Burrito is one of the best breakfast burritos I’ve had! My husband got the chilaquiles and thought those were great, and my parents have been here numerous times and said they’ve never been unsatisfied.

Not so good. Chips and cheese dip we're just okay. The dip could have been hotter I and more creamy versus Lumpy. Hamburger was cooked to perfection but not too specifications. Meaning leaving off sauces and such that were requested to be put on the side. French fries were not hot as requested. Will give it another chance at another time. Maybe then they'll work out the Kinks. Appears to be under new ownership.

I waited 45 minutes to an hour to be waited on and by the time somebody came over around noon, they denied me lunch, I wanted to try their chicken wings stating lunch doesn't start until 1 pm which I thought was weird. So I ordered 1 blueberry pancake which took another half hour to arrive at my table and the bottom of the pancake was burned and didn't seem like they were that busy. This place got good reviews which is why I stopped by to try it out and I experienced the opposite. Would not recommend it. The atmosphere and aesthetics were pretty cool, though.

Came here on a Thursday night. Great vibe. Food was freaking amazing!! Ordered the chicken Baja bowl and it was the best I’ve had anywhere! Nothing compares. I’m hooked now. Definitely be back

The food here is pretty good, but be prepared to wait 80 years for it to come out or be checked on. When we asked how much longer the food would be our waitress said she’d go check on the ticket and then never came back to tell us. Ten minutes later we had to ask someone else who again said “they’d go check”. The food finally came out after over an hour and we were only a party of four. We will not be coming back.

Not a great experience. I had French toast, which was almost burnt with little flavor. I sent it back and they redid my order, a lighter brown. My husband ordered the stuffed poblano breakfast. It was Luke warm. Perhaps because we were the first to dine that morning.

We've been to this cafe twice now. This time, I ordered the Arizona burger, cooked medium. The restaurant was almost empty, but it still took forever to get our food. Then my burger was burned on the outside and very rare on the inside. Since we were short on time by now, I didn't send it back. The decor is very interesting, but the bad food and slow service will keep us from going back. 🌵 😥 🌵

Cool little place. Different menu, a lot of Mexican influences, I had the little piggy breakfast. Very good food. Service was awesome! Nice change of pace. Veteran owned.

Made a trip to this great restaurant for breakfast and, while they were almost full, they got us in quickly. I have to be gluten and dairy free since my last visit :( so I didn't know what I could enjoy. I was/am So Thankful they had gluten free pancakes and there was a hash dish that I was able to adjust so I could enjoy it without cheese. I didn't even miss it!! My niece is vegetarian and my husband is diabetic but they had something for everyone! Fabio was our server and has been in the past. He doesn't even write down our orders...as detailed as they are with our dietary differences. He just Remembers! Amazing! He's also helpful and attentive! Need to come here more often!

This picture is very underwhelming compared to the reality of dish. I don’t even like cottage cheese and I scarfed it down. Also ordered the cinnamon roll pancake and breakfast tostados. 11/10. Waiter was also 11/10. Everything was awesome.

Disregard all the negative reviews! Great local place with really good food and super friendly staff! We abandoned the big chain of Mimi's for this and will never look back. Good foot, Fresh, Nice Portions and TASTY!

Very disappointed. This used to be our go to breakfast place with the family. Unfortunately with our youngest we haven’t been able to come in about a year. This was our first experience back and we are beyond disappointed. The dining area was filthy. Dust and dirt everywhere, dirty utensils on the ground, dirty bar rags, just overall unclean. Likely one of the reasons for the heavy amount of flies inside the restaurant. Beyond the conditions inside, the menu has been downsized and prices raised quite a bit. Worst of all, the quality of food has become pretty bad. The French toast was soggy and flavorless, the eggs were way over cooked, over easy came out over hard, scrambled eggs were like paper towels, 3 (yes we counted) small chunks of meat in the Chilaquiles, flavorless potato’s, just all around no flavor and poorly cooked. As I said, quite disappointed that this has happened to one of our neighborhood favorites.

I’ve been to The Heart & Soul Cafe before and wanted to bring my husband. Today was that day! We each had breakfast, coffee & OJ. He had the Huevos Ranchero and I selected the Mexican Burrito. Wow! (My mouth is on fire & I can now breathe!) I highly recommend my burrito & he’s recommend his breakfast to others! We both cleaned our plates! Must have been good! 😃 We will definitely be back!
