This place has a great concept but the food quality is awful, its extremely dirty and the employees are jerks!! The guy in the picture was so rude and seriously hates his job. Stinks because its quick and easy place to stop but no reason to spend money on a place that lacks any care for food quality or customer service.

This is what you call a $6 taco. Plus they slap on the tip option to go through the payment on the credit card machine. They used to be good. The food is good but the quantity while soaring prices is unexplainable. I get it the prices go up but look at the artwork on this wonderful taco. 🗑 service

Every single table in this restaurant smelled like urine. It was nasty. I don’t know if someone is cleaning the restrooms and then immediately washing the tables or what. Every table I sat at, I smelled the top and they all reeked of pee. Had to sit outside. Food was good though. Wish we would have gotten it to go.

This. place has went down hill. Turn off the bar like music your employees cannot hear anyone. The last 2 times I've come. I have to repeat my order only to get it wrong or missing something. The employees seem to hate the job nobody smiles and the food just sucks now when it used to be amazing I used to love this location!!! Managers you have failed your employees and patrons ..32 dollars for 2 lookwarm burritos and horrible service 😢 I won't be back.....TURN OFF THE MUSIC!!

This place was delicious! I don’t remember what tacos I ordered but they were delicious. My husband said his burrito was a little small for the price, more tortilla than anything. I wouldn’t mind going back, it sure about the hubs tho.

My family and I showed up about 15 minutes before they closed and they were out of everything! Chicken, cheese, guac, beans, and they had about 2 cups of rice left. They insisted they ran out of everything but we knew they just wanted to rush people out because they were closing soon, business is business and we felt very unwelcome by the side comments being made about us coming in late. The cashier was SO rude to anyone attempting to come in and eat. She would look at them without saying a word and smack the doors glass referencing the hours of operation. Very unprofessional and we will not be back.

Employees were to busy standing around doing absolutely nothing instead of cleaning dining room. The taco bar was dirty & food needed to be changed out! Employees ignored us as we enter the restaurant. Which is normal for this location. We waited for someone to take our order. Employees were to busy making their own food to acknowledge us. Employee who finally took our order didn't even know which meat was the Sweet Pork. He gave us the wrong ingredient. He had to ask another employee which meat he needed. Cashier ringing me up seemed confused. I paid for my order & was rudely yelled & questioned about my order as I was leaving. There were to many Employees just standing around & not doing anything. It would of took this Employee 2 questions to ask what we ordered. One to the cook & Cashier. However, she decided to yell as I'm leaving the restaurant. Instead of having so many people on the clock invest in having a couple Employees that can do their job. Teach them how to change out the taco bar. Teach them to keep this area clean at all times. I'm sure they wouldnt want to eat the old hard rice, old lettuce, meat that's been sitting out, salsas that haven't been stirred, etc. Most importantly teach them what Customer service is.

Yikes, I hate to be the one that says it but it's true, I'd give this place a negative score if it were available. I've only ordered from the bell Rd location and never had an issue. Tonight as we waited for our delivery, they not only brought us our food incorrectly, but also completely charged us for food we did not receive. Then we call them and only to be able to talk to some girl who talks over you and has no interest in helping you other than saying we can refund it tomorrow. Well you took my money tonight. Then we go down to the location the girl proceeds to tell us that they are out of cheese, so that's why they sent nachos without them as well as the drink we wanted lol ok so don't give us what we paid for or even contact us to see if there's something else we want. But don't you dare take a customers money for nothing and then be upset when you're asked to rectify an issue you created. The girl was rude and had to be persueded to even remake the order to make it right. This is absolutely ridiculous. So basically this place is 1000% comfortable taking money for nothing. Never again!

This is several times our to go orders have been messed up without apology. Once we waited 30 minutes passed the time listed for pickup. Get home and half the order is missing and had to wait again. This time we ordered delivery. Get a text from door dash that our order was canceled. Cafe Rio never contacted us. We called, no apology, just said the ap wasn’t working. We’re without food this time. They claimed the charge would be refunded. It was not. Had to call AGAIN to get it resolved and sit on hold. Only to have the call ended twice so I had to call twice more. The food is great, and if you wait in line and watch them make your food you should be fine. But I would highly recommend avoiding any to go or delivery orders from them.

Worst customer service. It was the last time for me at this location. The lady serving the food is the most grumpy and and full of sarcasm. After putting two scoops of meet in the bowl she felt to take some out. It was hilarious but most likely I will avoid this kind of service that wants to make me feel like they are doing me a big favor by putting food in my plate. The food is always good and I love Cafe Rio. However I will definitely avoid this location

If to go orders are a priority, then there's no reason to eat here. 30 minute wait for the worst taco I've ever had with wilted lettuce. The meat and cheese were even on the tortilla.

I never write reviews but I couldn’t let this one go. My family and I go the Cafe Rio on Happy Valley bi-weekly or more because we love their food. Today however was a different story. Some of the worst customer service I have experienced in a while. My wife and I walked right up to the front as there was no one in line. We patiently waited for at least 5 minutes while they worked on to-go orders. Nobody made eye contact with us, acknowledged we were there, or told Us they they would be with us in just a minute. Then once we were helped, he mumbled the little bit he spoke and was very rude. This same thing also happened last week with a large to go order ahead Of us, so we won’t be back for a while, hopefully the customer service can improve.

This is the best Cafe Rio! I go out of my way to go to this location every Tuesday for their taco special. It’s consistent and delish! The bathroom was a little dirty tonight, but besides that it’s great!

Amazing food !! It’s all fresh made the same day, it’s honestly never frozen. If you want something unique and fresh than this is defiantly the place. Bathrooms are clean here ! Great place for a date or the family

Yesterday me and my wife ate here and we both got food poisoning, whole night was a nightmare. Definitely not going there anymore also won’t recommend it to anyone. We had lunch there and after we finished eating, felt sick right away for like almost 24 hours. Disgusting 🤢

Where is the meat? I used to go to the Surprise location for salads before moving here. It was great. But this location always majorly skimps on the meat. They even skimped on the rice this time too. The salad is almost all lettuce with a few skinny pieces of chicken, tini tiny specks of tomato , and maybe a table spoon of rice, no joke. for $14!! Definately not worth the price. Total rip off. Will not be back.

Cafe Rio is an amazing and delicious Mexican Grill! We love the sweet pork that they’re known for. If you get a salad, they can put a melted cheese covered tortilla on the bottom of the bowl and it’s so good with the salad! Everything they offer is tasty! My only suggestion would be if they could offer more options on the kids’ menu. Currently, there are only quesadilla options. However, they make their tortillas in front of you, when you’re standing in line. They taste so fresh and buttery! Also, try their queso… it’s rich, hot and cheesy. The guacamole is fresh and has a hint of lime. The salsa Fresca and pico de gallo are amazing as well with their homemade tortilla chips!

Very cordial and friendly. Lots of flavor and big selection. Great place for a quick lunch. UPDATE: Well, they did again! So much tastyness. The service was perfect, food was amazing. As always!

Amazing Shredded chicken quesadilla, but everyone's food looked great too. I got Tabasco, but didn't even use it. Staff was on the ball and worked well together as a team.

At every previous visit, we've had great quality food, except today. I asked for different guacamole, the guy was heavy handed with salsa in the guacamole, it was watery in the container, finally the lead offered some from another case but it was dark green and didn't taste fresh. I've bought catered food and many meals here, I expect quality and didn't have it today.
