I love the the teachings here of Shin Buddhism. I previously attended The Temple every Sunday for 5 years. I moved to FL 8 years ago and practiced on line since the closest Temple was 50 miles away. I’m glad to be back in AZ again. When the Pandemic is over I will attend again. In the meantime I will listen to Sesai on line. I am in AZ for good.πŸ™πŸΌπŸ˜Š

If you are looking for the online Dharma talks form the temple go to Youtube and search for Dharma in the Desert. The 3 ministers from the temple take turns delivering the Dharma message each week.

I was invited to celebrate the Buddha's birthday. When I arrived, they locked me out! I tried going through both doors and even knocked loudly multiple times. I even shouted to let me in, but no one answers. I triple checked the time and date before I arrived and even checked my email in case of any changes. It was the exact time and date. I left and never returned. Then Sensei Sugiyama, months later, got the nerve to reinvited me again to attend another event. The nerve! After that stunt, why would anyone want to go back? I am done with Buddhism. I don't get this level of gaslighting and disrespect as I do when I visited other religious non-Buddhist communities. Buddhism is a dying religion all over the world, and you've lost a faithful follower of almost 10 years who has family members who gave their livelihood into monasteries for generations and donated hundreds and even thousands of dollars to various Buddhist temples. Generations and money wasted on a religion that doesn't care and all lip service.
