I can't recommend this place enough! I had limited time in Phoenix and didn't want the hassle bringing my own bike much less figuring out how to transport it in my rental car. Cactus Adventures got me a great MTB, easy to follow instructions to the trailhead, and a map of the south mountain trails. Super friendly, easy to find, and answered all my questions. There was a technical glitch with my reservation, but they got me squared away and off on my bike no problem! I will most definitely use them again in the future next time I find myself in Phoenix (which can't be soon enough!).

We had a great experience renting bikes from Cactus. From the time we arrived we were well taken care of. Time was taken to set up the bikes specifically for each of us. Before we left they made sure we had water and provided us with more. We were given clear directions to the trails and given a map to follow along on.

James is a fantastic guide and instructor. Our experience was exceptional, packed with history, technical instruction and lots of unique trails. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Thanks James.

James was so helpful. We didn't have a reservation but he hooked us up with some great bikes. My son tried a large Kona and I had a small Liv (Mavis). He lead us to the the route gave us maps, water, helmets, gloves, snacks and a few pointers. Could tell he loved the sport and just wanted to have others enjoy it. We will definitely be back.

I rented a bike for a week here as I was spending some time in Phoenix with my family and was stuck in NYC due to the holiday travel/winter storm nightmare. James at Cactus Adventures didn't hesitate to refund the full rental amount and, when we finally did make it into town, James was amazing and accommodated myself and my nephews with bikes at the last minute! He even supplied us with a map and some drinks and snacks to bring along. Highly recommended for anyone looking to rent a bike in Phoenix!

James and Cactus Adventures are great. While planning a trip to AZ I had a hard time finding kids bikes for rent. James has high quality, well maintained 20" and 24" bikes that anyone would feel safe putting their child on. We received a warm welcome, maps and very clear directions that took any stress out of riding in a new area. My boys had a blast, and we will definitely rent from James again on our next visit to AZ.

I had so much fun on my solo adventure with these rentals! I don't consider myself to be super fit, but the e bike made a one hour ride feel like an absolute breeze. I was amazed at how far I could go without getting tired. The host was so friendly and had great suggestions on where to go. I saw some great sights and would absolutely recommend this rental place to anyone if you're in the area!

Had a great experience with James. Good selection of bikes, 5min from awesome trails. James is a rider himself so he gave me really good pointers and helped me with last minute pickup. Bike was in great shape, tuned and ready to go.

If only 10 stars was an option. I mean, what an experience, from signup to the customer experience when I showed up was nothing less than perfect. Safety first…they want you to come back and enjoy riding so they set you up with all the tips and gear you need to go from newbie to repeat customer!

James is great to set you up for a good day mountain biking, very well organized and equipped, and he is very cool guy to hang out with. Highly recommended activity as one of the things to do if you are in Chandler and like outdoor sports, he also got E bikes which was way useful at the South Mountain Park

We rented two mountain bikes here and had a great experience. Bikes are in good shape and service was excellent. After getting lost a little, we ended up on the Desert Classic route, which was fun!

My wife and I rented last minute and it worked out great! James is a rad dude very helpful and informative. I would recommend calling ahead and reserve bikes if you want a specific option like full suspension. We rode the “Desert Classic” trail it’s fantastic for riders like my wife who doesn’t ride much. All and all a great experience!

Cactus Adventures is the PERFECT place to rent bikes from in Phoenix, AZ. James made the entire process super easy, going so far as to having the bike dialed in exactly how I needed it for the terrain out there. The bike itself was AWESOME!! I rented a large Kona Process 153 which was fantastic for the terrain. He took time to explain the trail system and even shared his favorites based on our preferred riding style. I can't wait til the next time I'm back out there and have the opportunity to rent from Cactus Adventures again. HIGHLY recommended!!

Rented a bike from Cactus Adventures the last 2 days and it was the best experience ever. The entire process front to back was very easy and James was super helpful as well as full of good advice for beginners like myself. He was even kind enough to bring another bike for me to just try out while dropping off the bike I had rented. I just wanted to get a feel for a different size and he was cool enough to stand in hot weather while I rode in a few circles (thanks again James!). I 100% recommend the use of the bike rental service to anyone and I myself plan on buying a bike after this experience.

While in Phoenix for a business trip. I had to check out what the trails had to offer. I found Cactus Adventures on the internet and browsed their inventory of rental bikes. I was rather impressed with the selection and quality of bikes. The first of two rides, I picked the Specialized Turbo Levo eBike. I rode a little over 20 miles. after having such great time I rented a second bike. It was a Cannondale Habit, which I rode for 15 miles. Both bikes were in excellent mechanical condition. James the owner went over and above, to make sure I had everything and all the information for my rides. If you are ever in Phoenix and looking for an excellent bike to rent, choose this company. They will not let you down!!!

James was absolutely wonderful! He was great with answering all of our questions over the phone. He was very accommodating when we wanted to arrive earlier. He provided helmets, cold water, and backpacks for our trip. He gave great instructions on how to ride as we were all new to mountain biking. One member in our group was falling behind at one point and he was so kind and encouraging! We had a wonderful experience and highly recommend him to all!!

We have rented 8 mountain bikes from Jen and her team the past two years. The quality of the bikes is only surpassed by the quality of service. Jen and her team are fantastic.

I rented a mountain bike for 5 days, plus 5 more for one day, including an electric. Everything was great! The bikes were really good high end bikes, in good condition. You also get some well needed gear to ride. The location is good with easy access to some great trails. James made my mountain biking a great experience! I recommend them.

What a fantastic experience renting from this outfitter!! Customer service was top notch. All of the equipment was very clean and he offered sizes for everyone. Providing water, healthy snacks and a backpack were bonuses I did not expect. Being from WV, I was shocked at how intense the sun became quite quickly.

James set me up with a great bike and great suggestions on where to ride in the nearby Pima Canyon. If you're visiting Phoenix and want to ride and experience the landscape, definitely check this company out. They offer high quality hard tails and full suspension bikes with all of the necessary stuff. They even provided me some sprays of sun screen because I forgot bring some. Be sure to call ahead and reserve a bike or tour and definitely pack extra water and snacks, you won't be disappointed!
