LP Concert!!!!!....What can I say...FANTASTIC Concert. Over way to fast!!! I can listen to her for days!!! The Van Buren is a great place to see a concert. It's a smaller venue but 1. Great atmosphere 2. Effective staff...<all that I talked too were very nice and helpful>. 3. Acoustics are fabulous and the prices aren't outrageous...this is my second concert here and both times have been a great experience. Holds a lot more people than you realize. Will definitely be looking at more concerts there. Not a lot of pics...but I was really enjoying the concert... Thank you

Please check the bag policy. They only allow clear backpacks, bags, purse or small handbag 4.5 x 6.5. Leave them in your car, so you won't waste your time. We were not required mask. It's clean. Line was quick. They did check the contents of my small purse. We watched stand up comedy so we have seats but I know if you watch concert, some of them don't put the seats out so make sure to inquire.

The Van Buren is a solid concert venue in Phoenix. The layout is basic, but with enough space to fill the room with music and good energy. The standing area is a wide open floor flanked with bars on either side. There are food and drink options outside as well, and are pretty good quality. Nothing too fancy but overall a great spot to see a show.

Great venue. The event went flawlessly and the staff was always available to assist. The place is beautiful and well maintained. There is food and beverages for sale on the patio. The only downside is that there are no parking spaces on premises. If the event is shorter than 4 hours, there are parking meters on the streets nearby.

The Van Buren is a great live music venue. The historic building that once housed the Phoenix Motor Company, beginning in 1939, was renovated around 2017 into a live music venue that holds around 1900 people. It’s standing room only except for an upper deck overlooking the stage that you pay extra to get into (at least at the show I was there for.) There’s food and drink options inside and a couple restaurants and an arcade adjacent to the venue. Parking is a little scattered through the neighborhood around the Van Buren, but there’s plenty of it and it’s easy to get in and out. Not a bad spot in the house. Definitely be keeping my eye on their schedule for an excuse to come back.

Nice atmosphere and helpful staff. Appreciated that they was good available for purchase as well as a full bar. Nice venue for an intimate concert. Took one of my daughters to see one of her favorite bands - Set it Off. Third time seeing them and second time at this venue. As it Is as well as other bands opened and were all good. As it Is happens to be another band she is into and the drummer Derek was so personable and have her an autographed set list and then posed for a photo with her when we ran into him after the show.

Great live music venue. Less than 2000 person capacity. Very good sound system. Reasonable lines for drink and food. Paid and unpaid street parking in the vicinity. Just find a band you like, and go.

My First Experience at The Van Buren was absolutely Amazing!! 💯 First, There is Plenty of Parking all around The Venue, Most of it looked to have some kind of security/monitoring. The Venue itself is Wonderful Vibe!! It being General Administration & standing made it so much more personal. (There is a V.I.P section 🙌) Also a upstairs balcony type area to watch the show as well. It was my first time at The Van Burrn but will Definitely NOT be my Last!! If you have never been to a Event at The Van Buren I Highly Recommend the Experience, You won't be disappointed!! Oh.. I saw "Prof" in concert 9/20/2023 LFG 🙌 Incredible Show 👏

Great venue Arizona! Comfortable environment. Even in the back you're close to the stage. Good sound throughout. For a concert venue it is incredibly clean. Clean bathrooms with tons of stalls and stocked with butt wipe. Full bar with decent drinks. Nice outdoor area and metal detector entrance to help with safety. Will definitely go back. The only negative is parking is very hard to find unless you pay 30 bucks. Overall Great place.

Beautiful inside and the staff was very friendly. I loved how thorough their bag check process is; especially these days, it doesn’t hurt to have so much security. Drinks were reasonably priced. There’s a U-shaped balcony area and restrooms on one side. It was helpful to have Ziggy’s right next door once the show was over. We saw Tinlicker and the sound quality was top-notch.

One of the best concert venues in phx! I love to watch shows here, there isn't a bad spot in the place to watch the show from. You can order food and 2 bars inside and 1 outside for quick drink service. Staff is always nice and respectful. Also if you really want to feel comfortable and have your own space, you can get balcony seats with its own private bar.

My first concert at The Van Buren did not disappoint. I saw 6lack here, and it was an incredible concert. The sound was very good, and the open floor space allows you to be close to the stage. The security also works hard to keep the venue safe and in order. I appreciate the hard-working staff there. I will definitely be back to this concert venue again!

Probably the coolest place to see a show in Phoenix. And that's saying something. If your band or artist is here, it means they have arrived but are not stadium worthy, yet. I've never been to it with a lame crowd. Go see a goth show there. You will be rewarded.

Took the wifey and a few friends to see Bishop Briggs at The Van Buren last night and it was absolutely fantastic! If you haven’t been to this venue, I highly recommend that you do. Dimly lit chandeliers and warm wood accents lining the walls and ceiling. The overall tone is just down right pleasing. Only around 1500 people so it feels very much like your own personal concert. As for Ms. Bishop Briggs… 😍🤯😍! Saw her live about eight years ago at the Mesa Amphitheater with roughly 5000 attendees. This show at The Van Buren was far superior. Holy hand grenades can this woman put on one helluva show! She’s got more energy than the Energizer Bunny and a voice that shatters the atmosphere! What an amazing night. 🥳

The best venue! The love and energy you feel is rejuvenating. As a crowd, you feel like one big happy family united under common love shared for an amazing band.

Came here to see the Knocks, Cannons, and Juliana Madrid. Venue is setup really nice with an outside patio area with seating and bars, a large indoor bar section, and the stage towards the front. There is also some private reserve seating on the second floor. It feels very open and not crowded. Plenty of restrooms so you never have to wait too long. Acoustics were good, plenty of cool air and ventilation so it wasn't too hot. Staff is really serious about security and under age drinking but felt really safe. There is a parking lot nearby and a designated uber drop off area. No complaints this place is awesome for small to medium concerts!!!

Went to a music concert at this venue in the evening. First of all be aware that there is only one public parking lot that I found close to the venue and they charge about $15 to $20 to park. The other lot is for a church and is closed. And if you're lucky you can find a metered parking space somewhere along the streets and you do have to still pay I believe it's $1.00 an hour. The new meters allow you to use a debit card but if you get an older meter you're stuck using only coins so be aware. And there is no secure parking. The venue looks very new and clean inside and out. visibility located. Security checks you in and checks IDs for drinking. Various typical items not allowed like most venues. You wait in line outside to enter. Inside the bar is big and available. Food and drinks are served upstairs if you pay for premium seats. Downstairs is mostly standing to watch the concert with general admission. There are benches also available to sit downstairs for an additional charge. You can upgrade to any seating once you enter the venue. Debit or cash is welcome. Even a tab if you sit upstairs for the venue. The sound is great and the venue feels close and personal. The bathrooms are big with multiple stalls and sinks to use and very clean for a venue. Great place to see a concert. Just my experience. Enjoy

The venue was really elegant on the inside. Nice lighting and a good stage. The bars were set up right next to the stage area. They did not allow my gopro in for the show. Made me buy a 10 dollar locker for it.

The venue sold the parking lot by the entrance and they said no one can park there.... they also rejected me at the door with my personal camera and advised me it looked "too professional" :/ lol it was a nikon coolpix point and shoot. This is my 4th show here and I love the venue but maybe not so much the price gouging for mesenum tickets and the case by case rejection for my camera. I went in last time with my nikon d5600 and rolled right in no stops it's also not a professional camera but its far better than my coolpix. I am pretty big on social media and the pictures I take go right on there and I send people to the bands page to spread their music .... I wanted pics of tropidelics and I only got some randoms with my phone :/

So this was the first time I had been to The Van Buren so I didn't know what to expect. It's a very nice and spacious place which for concerts becomes standing room on the bottom level with seating on the top floor for extra cost. Drinks were pricey but it makes sense for venues like this. Will definitely return for a concert here.

We had an amazing time here for a Niko Moon concert. Loved the smaller, intimate setting. The bar & decor were cool vibes & the drinks were great! Also, never had to wait for the restroom. Would definitely come back for another show. Highly recommend.

I recently attended the Quinn XCII tour with special guests ARIZONA and Julia Wolf at The Van Buren in Phoenix, AZ. I had a great time and the venue was perfect for a concert. The acoustics at The Van Buren were excellent. I could hear every word of the songs and the music sounded great. The sound system was also very powerful, so it was easy to feel the music even if you were standing in the back of the crowd. The bathrooms at The Van Buren were also very clean. I was surprised at how well-maintained they were, especially for a concert venue. There were always plenty of stalls available and the lines were never too long. The crowd at The Van Buren was also very friendly and energetic. Everyone was there to have a good time and they were all really into the music. I didn't see any fights or arguments and everyone was respectful of each other's space. Overall, I had a great experience at The Van Buren. The venue was perfect for a concert and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend The Van Buren to anyone looking for a great place to see a show. Here are some additional details about my experience: The venue was clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The sound system was excellent. The crowd was friendly and energetic. I would definitely recommend The Van Buren to anyone looking for a great place to see a show.

It's been years since I have been in The Van Buren and it really hasn't changed much and is still one of my favorite places to go to concerts. Introducing the kids to the live concert life to start the next generation of music lovers. The three of us went to Jack Kays, K.Flay and Grandson concert in a June 2023 here at The Van Buren and it was one of the most high energy show I have ever been to! Be prepared for long sets of you are standing on the floor. You may be standing for 4-6 hours depending on who is playing and how fast the transitions take.

I was there for a concert recently. Found a parking lot within walking distance. There is a parking garage within walking distance. It was very clean, very beautiful. Had a nice outdoor patio, the bathrooms were clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. I was very satisfied with this venue. Had beer, alcohol and small bites to eat. It was easy to navigate and easy to find.

My wife and I had a great time at a recent VNV Nation show. We were disappointed at the quality of “food” that was offered via table service from a VIP upgrade. We paid over 15$ for 4 small cubes of stale cheese, 3 slices of overly fatty shaved“prosciutto” and two rock hard crackers. Please do better! Plus the server that was watching over our table split mid show leaving just one server for the entire balcony leaving us wondering how to choke down the delightful “snack” we ingested as we could not get anything to drink. Other than that the show went on and we had a good time.

Great venue. Plenty of food choices, non-alcoholic and alcohol drinks, clean restrooms, and friendly staff added to the awesome experience and fan friendly layout of the place. Watched "In Flames" in concert there. If I am in Phoenix again and a band I follow plays there, I will definitely go back!

This is a great small/medium sized venue for concerts. I've seen a number of shows here recently and the sound was very good. They often feature bands that would play larger venues in other cities. I just saw Royal Blood and not long before that Wolfmother. Both shows were excellent and tickets were reasonably priced.

Had a great experience at The Van Buren. My wife and I recently attended a concert at The Van Buren, and I have to say it was one of the best experiences we've had. My wife was limited to a wheelchair due to recent surgeries, the staff went out of their way to accommodate her and the other patrons in wheelchairs. The staff was great, the sound system steller. Everything about The Van Buren is top notch.

  • 5/5 Ryan I. 4 years ago on Google
The venue located in downtown Phoenix area has a lot to offer for a local venue. Bring in some great headliners that seem to never disappoint. The entry process is fast and seem less and all the staff is genuinely there for you to enjoy yourself. Bartenders always have a smile on, even during their busiest moments. They are quick and reasonable. There is food in the courtyard that you can grab a bite and a beer on the way in or you have a pizza joint that is also a bar connected to The Van Buren. Open floor concept that is GA and you have a second story balcony which is VIP. Has some comfortable seating areas, tables, and you can overlook the crowds. It’s worth the ticket.

This place is whey hip great for the face of Phoenix and an excellent venue for music. I've seen a Led Zeppelin cover band and Rob Thomas for his Christmas show last week. Both were awesome great light system great acoustics and if you feel that you are in on the action. I know that Marilyn Manson played there a few weeks ago but I did not attend. If you have the opportunity to go to this venue for any show do not miss it you'll be sorry

A fantastic music venue with great acoustics and plenty of room with plenty of bar space to get served quickly. The facilities are clean and we'll laid out. The balcony is a great place to watch the show if you can't stand for a few hours.

Very cool place for a concert. No lines, handicap parking right in front, great security, fun bartenders and easy entrance into the venue. Was entertained by Black Jacket Symphony who gave us a great performance of the Pink Floyd Tribute Band

I went to a concert here last night & everyone from security to the bartenders and the show were absolutely amazing!! I’ve been to the Van Buren several times and it’s by far my fave concert venue in Phoenix! The location is downtown but just out of the heart of the mess but still close enough to all of the action!! You can always count on a great show and a fun time here!!! I’ll be back soon!!

First time here. Came for Trey Anastasio and Band. Awesome concert and awesome venue. I've been wanting to check out the Van Buren for a while. It did not disappoint. I appreciate that the floor is mainly standing and that there is a balcony for those who want to sit upstairs. Lots of bars for alcohol and the bathrooms are kept clean.

It's the Van Buren, is there anothet classy looking mid-size concert venue in Phoenix? So far I've only seen Dashboard Confessionals here, my wife made me come but in the end he truly was talking to my soul, and I can't wait to see more shows here.

  • 4/5 Chris B. 4 years ago on Google
I like this venue for shows, but the general admission, standing room only, is for the birds. My legs, hips, ankles, and lower back started hurting an hour into the show. And there was no where to sit, close by the stage, to enjoy the bands performing. Other than that, very cool venue!

First time at the Van Buren, visiting from Colorado. I really enjoyed that the venue is really wide. There really isn't a bad view on the floor from anywhere. Acoustics if you are too far on the side stage are missing but moving more towards the middle fixed that.
