👍👍 I went to VCA Mountain View after adopting a kitten from the AZ humane society, as VCA gracious offered a free visit to each newly adopted animal, and I have kept going back. You can tell that the vets really care and the staff is always friendly. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a vet... My sister has taken her dog here for many years. He turned 15 this year and despite aging kidneys and high blood pressure he maintained his energy and antics and love. As a chow corgi mix, 15 years far exceeded his life expectancy, thanks to the thorough and loving care he received here at Mountain View. Time did catch up though and on Monday he was ready to pass on. The attention and compassion that was given to him and his people was outstanding. The time spent in a private area, choices for seating, and memories shared by the staff of his life were so comforting. We sat around him in a circle of love and appreciation for a life well lived and a peaceful passing. Thank you all for all that you do.

Similar to the other earlier review, they provide great care but it's severely disappointing to pay for a care membership where you cannot be scheduled for a visit for over a month. Perhaps the best perk of the membership is that it covers scheduled exams, but this perk is redundant when your pet cannot be seen within a reasonable timeframe. I had an appointment that was scheduled 4 weeks out canceled today due to staffing issues, and cannot be rescheduled for over a month. EDIT: The vet who typically sees my pup reached out via phone given the staffing concerns and was able to complete our appointment that way, which was a huge help and very much appreciated. Appointment wait times have gotten better recently, typically ~2 weeks out. This location continues to afford very high quality care to my pup, which is why I continue to go there.

It’s been a year now since my dog passed. A year ago today they messed up and lost my dogs ashes. I will forever mourn today. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else’s babies. They only offered jewelry to make up for it. My dad went by there so upset because that dog was my baby. I loved him more than anything. He loved him more than anything. You can get angry or just cry. He was upset that was only the justice they did for losing my boy. They called me offered the jewelry so my dad would stop complaining or not to sue. I didn’t have the heart to do anything I just cried and I cried until I couldn’t no more. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else’s babies.

My girlfriend and I came in today distraught because we found our cat deceased in our home. Tamara (tam) was the first one to greet us at the door when we walked in crying. She rushed us to a room and was very professional and sympathetic and even offered my girlfriend a hug. She went over different options for burial and gave us little care packets with goodies inside to help us through this difficult time. She handled our cat even though already deceased with the utmost care. Dr. Nicholas was also very sympathetic and kind to us. I realize we did not have an appointment and this may have made things harder on the staff who were already seemingly swamped as is, they still made this horrible experience for us manageable. Thank you VCA Mountain View, when the time is right for us to get another pet this will be my hospital of choice.

We love everyone at VCA Mountain View. More importantly, our dogs love them. We've been going there for six or seven eats now. They are always professional and friendly, and they treat our girls with patience, love, and compassion. VCA has a useful app for your phone. And, they have an efficient system for drop off and pickup due to Covid.

They made me and my kitty Gouda feel so welcome. The front office staff is stellar. The vet we saw was kind and knowledgeable. I am very happy with my visit. That said vet care is expensive wherever you go. So I cannot rate the value. But the staff makes the visit worth it.

Very poor service, I was patient and calm looking for solutions to my dogs pain to make him more comfortable and wanted me to wait for weeks to solve an issue that was obviously causing my dog pain.

I recently took my newly adopted 12-yr old pup Gus into VCA Mountain View for a general check-up. Gus is a 100-lb Australian Shepherd mix who has likely had a rough past and is not trusting at all of strangers...especially those in uniform (i.e. the white vet coat). He was having a difficult time at his appt & ended up requiring a muzzle, but the staff was extremely understanding & patient, and went ABOVE & BEYOND to make him as comfortable as possible, while providing all of the necessary care he needed. A special thanks to Dr. Nick (Saint-Erne) & Vet Tech Casey!!! Your creative techniques to get things accomplished were outstanding and so greatly appreciated! Although we're hoping not to need any upcoming vet care, if we do, we will most definitely be reaching out to you guys for assistance. I don't think we could've found anywhere else to be so flexible & committed to getting the necessary things done for Gus. So again, thank you all so very much!!!

Everyone I spoke with at this hospital was kind except for JESSICA. She treated me so poorly in the midst of me being worried about my sick animal that I had a mild anxiety attack yesterday. She called to confirm my appointment yesterday. I was quite alarmed that I would not be able to accompany my animal while it was seen at this hospital for the first time. I told her I would call her back in an hour to confirm my appointment if I felt comfortable and said bye. She then called my phone and left a message saying she cancelled my appointment. She did not have my permission to do that. I called back and spoke with Sophia whom is a sweet pea. She was very apologetic about how Jessica treated me. She also disclosed I still had my appointment. That means on top of being extremely rude and spiteful, Jessica also LIED. Jessica is very aggressive and bad-mannered. The attitude she has would make you think you're working for her, even though you're the customer. She speaks over others and does a subpar job at customer service at best. I let her know my animal may have an URI. Knowing my animal needs help and that many vets are booked, she refused to book an appointment today when I needed to reschedule. She told me to go somewhere else and hung up on me. This is the second day in a row she has treated me in an awful and upsetting manner. She clearly cares nothing about the reputation of VCA whom she is representing. She has a very abrupt, controlling nature that doesn't fit with the kind culture of this company. I hope management can straighten her out and help her undertand what customer service means. Thank you for reading this.

I don't usually leave reviews but I feel I need to let others know. I did not have a good experience here. They were not very friendly, and they were not friendly to my dog at all. Confusing information about their programming. There were other issues, however the manager did address those concerns after some time. Also this response below from corp also is very telling!

They were very busy that night but still gave us time and attention. Our puppies vitals were checked to ensure she was stable and not in distress. We were given good recommendations on another hospital that may not be as busy if she became critical. We got good advice. Hopefully we don't have to come back; but, if we do I will be comfortable bringing our puppy here.

I got my two new kittens in August 2020. The vet tech had explained to me that the care club would cover all my pets vaccines, check ups and I was under the impression it was a one time payment. All my vaccines were not covered and it’s a reoccurring payment of 46.99 per month. I’ve had my kittens seen there maybe 3-4 times and have paid over 700 dollars for the VCA care club and for extra fees for each visit. Each time I go there, I wait in my car for over an hour... then they try to sell me preventative medications/food/tooth brushes that aren’t included in my care club membership. I just called the location to ask to cancel my VCA membership because I have run into financial trouble and am unable to afford the 46.99 PER kitten a month (about 94 dollars a month) and they are asking my to pay over 200 dollars to close out my care club account which I cannot afford. Don’t get the VCA care club. It’s a scam and this veterinarians office is poorly managed. It shouldn’t take over an hour to give two kittens a vaccine. Also they have my pets names wrong and I’ve tried to ask them to fix it. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.

We always take both our kitties here and they always do a great job. Always let us know the complete truth and never try to upcharge on any services they recieve. They still have curbside so you have to just drop off and wait for your animal in the car. I also like the fact that we only live like 2 miles away so makes for complete convenience to us. The staff is very friendly and always customer savvy and ready to answer any questions you may have!

We recently adopted a cat and were referred here by AZ Humane society. We spoke with Ronnie and she walked us through the entire first appointment procedure and was so helpful answering all my questions and giving advice. We're first time cat owners and she made us feel a lot more confident about bringing our little kitty here! I really felt like they had our best interest in mind when I spoke with her. Thank you Ronnie!

Dr. Shug oversees the care of our 3 year old Brittany (“spaniel”) who was diagnosed with epilepsy earlier this year; he’s seriously the best. When we asked about dietary suggestions, he took the time to research and follow up with a veterinary neurologist and texted us the following day with a new dog food suggestion. He’s always friendly and thorough in answering our questions. I honestly can’t recommend dr. Shug and the rest of the staff enough.

The doctors and techs are excellent. My low review comes from the amount of money I pay them and they are never able to schedule an appointment for 3 to 4 weeks. I have their pet plan and have had it for my pup for 5 years. I have to go out of town unexpectedly, and need to board my dog for a couple days. VCA is unable to give my dog her needed vaccines for 3+weeks. when my dog got hurt, i tried to get her in then and it was wait for er hours. Really frustrating when I am paying them every month and they can never help. I guess I need to cancel that waste of money plan and look for an Animal Hospital that has the time to see my pup.

After getting a new kitten we made an appointment at VCA Mountain View for a check-up/vaccinations. The service and professionals here are incredibly nice, personable, and genuine. They’re are highly communicative and provide peace of mind when it comes to walking through what is needing regarding next steps, answering any questions, and listening to your concerns. Very happy to have a place I know is convenient and one that I can trust!

Dr. Guzman is a great vet. Came in with an emergency and even though the news wasn't great or what I wanted, she still was very reassuring and the way she spoke helped me come to a decision best for my cat and they referred me to another emergency place close by.

My family has been going here a long time. Friday I had to make the decision to put my baby girl down. It was the hardest decision of my life but everyone here was absolutely amazing and caring. Even though I was an absolute mess my girl and myself recieved amazing care. Sophia thank you for meeting me outside and being so kind to me. Thank you to the guy (can't remember name want to say Nathaniel) for being so gently when you carried her back for her IV. Dr. Hatcher thank you for everything you did for her. Thank you for taking away her pain one last time. You guys are all amazing and I appreciate you all. It's not easy when we lose someone we love but you guys made it just a little more bearable for her and me. So thank you.

I go to another VCA brand in Colorado Springs. I have been down in Arizona and needed to get my dog a follow up, so I tried this one. It was a pretty bad overall experience. The tech was absolutely awful, she was rude, acted like she was afraid of my dog, basically didn’t even want to touch him; it was really weird. Why work at a vet?? Furthermore front desk ladies were not friendly, and while the veterinarian was friendly she seemed so so inexperienced, like almost to an awkward amount... I also agree with so many other comments that they are overpriced and pushy with quotes. To top it all off, a standard exam visit took about an hour and half, with about 1 hour of that being wait time Overall, I would not recommend and will not be bringing my dog back. I would try somewhere else.

  • 1/5 JL R. 4 years ago on Google
They used to have good service and they seemed to care but today, we were sorely disappointed by our experience with a vet tech named, Tam, and other staff. Tam was incredibly unprofessional and rough with our animal. When she was called out for her unprofessional behavior, she accused our dog of trying to bite her at a previous appointment. I later learned from my husband, who had taken our dog in earlier in the week, they had mentioned nothing about an alleged bite - only that our small, high-strung little dog kept pulling her paw away when they attempted to draw blood. I will not be back to VCA. I will be taking my animals to a practice that is more professional, compassionate, and caring. If you care about your pets, you should do the same.

Ignore the 1 & 2 star reviews. The Vets/Techs/Staff are always very welcoming and understanding when it comes to my dog's needs. I know that Marlena is always in good hands here and I've left with nothing but kindness and care for her well being.

Dr Saint-Erne is probably the best vet in Arizona. He is super knowledgeable with all animals and is the only vet we trust our tortoises with. His communication is superlative and you never have to wonder where you are in the treatment process with your animal and far as we are concerned he's a lifesaver.

I've been bringing our many pets here to VCA Mountain View for over 15 years and have seen a number of their vets and many techs during that time. Everyone has always been friendly and kind. Most recently I have been taking my current 5 pets to see mainly Dr. Ansems, who is always cheerful, caring and informative, putting up with my many questions with amazing patience. She is super thorough and good at staying on top of my pets' health concerns. Everyone here is very nice and I feel like they're not just an animal hospital -- they're friends.

This was my first visit here. It was recommended by a friend. The Vet is wonderful. My dog Maximus (Max) is 15 yrs old. He started limping a bit and couldn't tolerate going on walks anymore. After treatment and a couple of visits he is pain free and happy again. Thank you!

I was dog sitting for my best friend who was out of town, and I took his dog in for him for a first time visit to get some vaccines updated. It was an initial visit with Dr. Rhiannon Davies, and I was not very impressed. We came for a 3pm appointment (we were on time), and there was only one person working the front desk who was helping a customer already. Nearly 20 minutes later, and she finally got us checked in. We waited in the waiting room a little bit longer until we got brought back to the exam room. Dr. Davies had a few questions about the dog that I did not have the answer to and told her I would have to call the dog owner. She had an attitude and acted very annoyed. She came off judgmental and as if the dog was not well taken care of. $220 later which included visit/exam fee, heart worm test and 2 vaccines. We were there for 2 hours... a lot longer than expected just for a couple vaccines and a blood draw. Would maybe give this place one more try with a different vet, but never with Dr. Davies again. HOWEVER, the techs were amazing, friendly, and so kind.
