Found this little treasure by accident while on a very hot walk! Stopped by to get a drink only to discover they served no alcohol. But I’ll tell ya what - I’ll take a drink here over any boozy drink elsewhere! I wish we had a Lacuna back at home in Salt Lake City! The drinks here were amazing!! So tasty and got such a chill, relaxing feeling from them. The staff was amazing. Hannah served us and answered all of our questions. She explained everything so well. Highly articulate and friendly. What a treat to have delicious drinks AND incredible service. I will definitely be back here next time I visit Phoenix!

Great place to unwind and relax with friends. My best friend was in town and we had Kava and CBD wine. Both were new experiences for us! The Kavatender smudged the space with sage while we were there which made our experience even better. I only wish there were more locations!

We were walking by earlier in the day and stopped in to see what Kava meant. The staff was very friendly. We came back later that night for a night cap. I got the Citrus Funk Kratom Infusion with Relief and it’s delicious. If you’re unsure about what to get, the staff will definitely recommend some options. The vibe is very relaxing and calm. Perfect after a day of hiking in Sedona!

I was rather impressed with this quaint establishment! Lacuna Kava Bar is nestled right in the heart of the Roosevelt Row Art District, so even just walking down the street on this city block, there are a lot of cool paintings and murals on the city walls. My bartender, Chrissy, was extremely knowledgeable and she explained the different 'strains' and even offered me samples to try! They were all amazing and I ended up going with a 'Thin Mint' concoction which literally tasted like a melted Girl Scout cookie creation! Yum! Anyone could spend an afternoon with friends here, or an evening out, instead of going to a bar. The atmosphere is very relaxing here and I loved the oversize couches and floor-to-ceiling mural of Havasupai Falls on the wall. The bartender was so nice and knowledgeable. I was offered samples and explanations of the strains immediately. I decided on a chocolate and PB kava drink and it was really good! I ordered it to go and drank it out with my boyfriend instead of alcohol. I really enjoyed the relaxing, euphoric feeling it gave me that lasted about 2 hours. Will definitely be going back!

Every city needs Kava bars. We need to add CO2 drinks infused with CBD/THC to the mix. Place has a Beatnik feel about it. Come one come all. Music to boot. First time coming to a Kava bar in Arizona, I thought it would be an awesome experience to bring a friend on her birthday, as a more wholesome alternative to drinking alcohol. The staff seemed “busy” which is completely understandable. So of course Extended and communicated understanding and patience for that, but quickly noticed the enthusiasm and more pleasant attitude with the regular customers who were all not people of color. If one is not to accuse or perceive that there is no racial indifferences please treat all customers equally. Horrible first time experience . Although the Kava was indeed better tasting than I expected, I wouldn’t recommend having it here. I also tried their medical grade CBD hemp rolled cigar, I’d suggest a hard pass on that as well, better off smoking tissue paper.

The drink Menu is Sure to please any one that walks in the door. Lacuna is serving up Kratom and Kava hot, cold ,moctails, teas shooters,shells, they do Kava every way and then some. The Kava it's self is smooth which I love! My drink was served at a good temperature(served chilled I ordered the "white out" but you can get the drinks warm/hot if you prefer) It is oh soooo creamy&Smooth ,even taste good if you don't get it as a flavored drink. Lacuna offers other odds&ends such as CBD, Tee-shirts,hats, Drink Shakers for all your inner and outer care needs. This Gem of the valley provides a community space for Artistry,Music,Meetings, Workshops, group events and safe Haven to its regulars. Krissy,Megan,Chase and Laura are a Great bunch to chat with. The mission for Lacuna hits close to my heart. They offer a social atmosphere to share some shells and tea but they provide a place for people to connect and think big! I have been curious about kava and kratom for a while. This is a relaxing, small spot on the south east corner of 3rd and Garfield Streets in downtown Phoenix. Megan was happy to review all the information about each from sourcing to effects and made sound suggestions for any newbie walking in, according to their personal needs and wants. The bar seats are terribly uncomfortable but are apparently soon to be upgraded. Absent that: a nice spot to “press pause.” The Rainbow Kale salad with eggs and citrus dressing was delicious. Very chill. Stop by. Learn. Laugh. Experience.

Their kratom and kava drinks are delicious, and the staff is friendly! Picked up 2 drinks, and some powder kratom for later. All is great quality !

My boyfriend and I visited the kava bar today, and Will was super friendly and helpful! He explained the different drinks and gave recommendations. I tried the pumpkin drink! Bonus: The owner’s dog is roaming around the bar, and she’s super friendly. So, you get relaxing drinks AND doggo cuddles.

Absolutely love this place!!! I just moved to Phoenix with my wife. It’s hard to make friends when you move 24 hours away from your home but at lacuna I’ve found it so easy! Really enjoy swinging by once a week and taking a break. They create a really welcoming atmosphere and it is legitimately very low stress and comfortable. The drinks are tasty and refreshing in the heat. Shout-out to Wil for being an awesome tender - he's attentive and full of information. Also keeps track of every conversation happening at the bar, which is impressive af, because the place stays busy.

This stuff actually works. I am tense all the time and I don't sleep well (partly due to the fact that I am a college student). I had my first drink the other day and I was surprised by the effects! I got a great nights sleep and felt calm and collected. They offer a wide range of flavors and the Manager was super helpful. Highly recommend this place!

Stopped by last weekend and loved it from the minute we walked in. I cannot remember the name of the lady working but she was awesome. She answered all the questions I didn’t even know we had. Got a couple drinks, one kava and one kratom and both were awesome. It was definitely a very pleasant first visit.

What an amazing spot. Knowledgeable and extremely friendly staff. The kava legit chilled me out for almost 4 hours. Also some nights there’s an open mic with some really interesting acts. Definitely one of my favorite experiences in Phoenix!

Holy cow! What an amazing gem to find! I am not a drinker of alcohol so this was a magical place to stumble upon. Ariana was a fountain of information and energy. ❤️❤️ loved the vibes! Thanks to Both Ariana and Natalie, these lovely ladies were introducing us to the wonderful world of kava and kratom and the benefits of them. We left feeling uplifted and overjoyed and just, honestly an aura of rainbows. Strongly recommend if your popping by in the Phoenix area!! A very interesting place. This is the first time I ever drank Kava and I got mine infused with cacao. It had a nice chocolatey taste to it. The ladies serving the drinks were very nice and very knowledgeable. The patrons were equally nice. I shot the breeze with a young lady and her boyfriend about our live of blistering hot Phoenix temperatures and travel to other places, and a gentleman outside about my time in the military. I'd come here again, next time I'm in the Phoenix area.

Olivia is an amazing Kavatender, she's outgoing and explained the menu down to the T for me. She's so kind and made me amazing drinks and kept that energy all night. Definitely recommend coming here to see her she's a great person to have as a first time customer!

I’ve been coming here since I moved to Phoenix in May. It was consistent for a few months and I always order the same drink. The last couple of months, the price has gone up. I ordered the same drink for happy hour the last three times and the price has been different every time. I mention it every time this happens and every time I get a different story. I just cashed out and paid $3 more than I did yesterday. This place is inconsistent and apparently each employee enters drink orders in differently. I’ve been a loyal customer since day one, even with all the changes prior to the random price increases. This place isn’t what it used to be and I can guarantee that they will lose customers if they continue with the inconsistency. I will gladly post the receipts from the last few visits to prove my statement above.
