This place is pretty neat, the first thing you notice when you walk in is a delicious aroma, tomatoes and Italian spices. I went in to grab some lunch, this was my first visit. I had the meatball sub, it was stuffed full of meatballs and a tasty sauce. The deli items look great too. Overall I enjoyed myself and will be back for lunch, deli items, and possibly catering

A delicatessen gem in Phoenix! Niccoli’s has some of the best homemade subs I’ve ever had, but it doesn’t just stop there. They have a wide variety of fresh pastas, sauces, and oils as well as fresh pizza dough and take n bake pizzas. The number one thing about Niccoli’s is their friendly staff who make you feel extremely welcome! Support local!

Service was excellent. Employees were very courteous and helpful. Italian hoagie was okay. Better than Tony's, not quite as good as Romanelli's and DeFalco's.

I'm very pleased with finding this hidden gem in the heart of Phoenix. Finding authentic San Marzano tomatoes has been a real challenge with a lot of brands at whole foods and the rest of the grocery chains putting nothing but imposters on their shelves. The imposters are getting very good at disguising their frauds. Thanks to Olga at niccoli's I'm now aware of the DOP on the label for authentic San Marzano tomatoes. Your sauce will elevate beyond belief when you use these and they have plenty here. I'm excited to have a Italian grocery close buy for the real thing and more. Another great bonus, they have pasta that the Pope eats and I picked up a bag. (See photo)

Great mom and pop shop. Italian style Turkey sandwich was amazing, definitely worth every penny. The customer service we received was exceptional. It was easy to order and the service was quick. The seating area and bathrooms were spotless clean. I'll definitely be coming back.

Wonderful local deli! The prosciutto is so good and don't even get me started on the cannolis. Best in the valley, just as good as the ones I had when I lived back in New York. Definitely going to be going back often.

Went here in search of a great tiramisu. We found that AND the coolest ladies running the place. They made our visit so much more worth it. Will definitely be returning when in that area. SUPPORT LOCAL!

I expected more/better/different. Rather confusing as to how to order. Workers were not on top of clueless looking customers. Pricey!

Absolutely amazing people and amazing food. I wish I had caught the owners name. We chatted about all their imports and secret ingredients. Our group agreed they have the best lemon bars ever but they're known for their Cannoli's so we had to try and agreed they're also amazing! If you're looking for authentic Italian then come here. The only downside is that we are from SLC and didn't have enough time to try everything on the menu. If we come back to this area we will stop in again.

Like being back in the old neighborhood. I love walking IN there and talking to the nice Italian couple who run the place. I also like walking OUT of there with my favorite cheeses and meats and Italian goodies!

Food is always amazing! Subs are delicious. We recently got pizza dough and sauce from Niccoli’s for homemade pizza and it came out great.

Very kind staff, delicious food! Lunch rush causes a little bit of a wait so if you’re in a rush just call ahead of time.

  • 3/5 Ryan W. 10 months ago on Google
Very nice people and the food is good, but they're horribly disorganized. I went in to get a few bake at home pizzas. They told me it would only take a few minutes which I believed as they weren't too busy at the time. 20 minutes later and no pizzas I realized they completely forgot about my order. Granted, they were apologetic and gave me a refund but there's no excuse for completely forgetting an order for a customer who is in the store.

The owners are so nice and friendly! We had great conversation while they were preparing my order. Ordered the Italian sub and a cannoli. So delicious! Will be back again!!

Haven't been here since before covid. WOW, The updates are great! Easier to shop for grocery items. Now have Pizza by the slice or made to order. I saw they had stuffed shells on the menu & inquired. I was told they no longer have stuffed shells or raviolis because they were frozen and the new owner only wants items made from scratch. Impressive! Took freshly made cheese lasagna & mild sausage lasagna to-go (also have hot sausage), plus dark chocolate clusters and Reese's peanut butter cup cannolis. Everything was delicious. Friends (who are Italian & from out of town) ordered a small pizza, baked goods, and fresh made pasta. They were very happy as well. Will definitely be back!

Super charming Italian Deli. It’s tiny but offers big charm and great customer service. We stopped in right before closing and the owner was super friendly/ attentive and answered all of our questions. We ordered a cheese Pizza and Sausage Sub ( 100%!!!) and some deli counter items- everything was delicious and we will certainly return! Also love the family owned feel.

Good food and even better service. It was our first time here. The man taking our order overheard my toddler begging for pickles and brought some out with the food. Italian sub and lasagna were both good, cannolis to die for.

Honey had the Italian beef & I had the pizza & Greek salad! Wonderfully warm service & fresh food, homemade pasta, bread & sausage in the deli case! They also has a great selection of grocery items & desserts! If you are in central Phoenix & looking for a true gem of Italian eats, Niccoli's Italian Grocery it is well worth your money!

Been getting food from Niccoli's for only 2 years now since I began snowbirding in Phoenix. They have the best of everything. Just had the Italian sub, so perfect! Pizzeles are old country flavor and texture. Ingredients for lazagna are the best. And a lovely family they are.

In my opinion, THE best Italian sausage in The Valley. Great sandwiches. Super friendly people. One day I've got to try their pizza.

So I just spent $19 on an Italian Beef sandwich and a coke. I literally live 4 miles away and when I got home the bread was saturated in the au jus. There was also very little meat on the sandwich. The bread which I have had twice now, has absolutely no flavor. I expect so much more from a true Italian restaurant and deli. What an incredible waste of money. Never been so disappointed in a sandwich in my life. I split it with a friend and he absolutely agreed. I do not reccomend eating here at all. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice.....shame on you again!

The owners are the most family oriented loving people one could have the pleasure of meeting. Their work ethics and cleaniess of the whole store are above and beyond what one expects. All employees are courtious and knowledgeable.LOVE THIS PLACE

Are you looking at this same picture that I'm looking at? Have you ever seen so much cheese, melted over shaved steak, grilled onions and mushrooms before? Have you ever looked into the abyss and the abyss whispered back "...cheesesteak"?!? Holy balls, this sandwich changed me. My friends think that I'm a different person after eating this. I'm actually thinking about moving into my car so that I can live in Niccoli's parking lot. It's the best cheesesteak I've had since Zero's closed in Tempe (RIP). If I had to make one criticism, I wish it was wrapped in parchment and a foil wrap so that the bread steamed and would soak up all the juice, but you probably won't even notice by the time you get to the second half though.

Ahhhhhh-may-zing. This place is a hidden gem, great subs and Italian cookies. The pizzelle is my favorite and Italian respectively. A must try if you're in the area. They also have a bunch of yummy looking italian groceries and sundries. Locally owned and operated. The owner was actually working the register when I went, she was very warm and welcoming.

This place is absolutely amazing. At Niccoli's Italian Grocery-Deli you feel like you are walking around in a Fellini film! The place is laid out in a bright lit cafeteria style but when you look off to the right you will see a large window where you can see the meats being worked on. What a great place.

I haven't been here in years but now I am back in the valley and it was great to chat with Peppy and get all the yummy desserts they have to offer! If you have not had their cannoli, try it! You will not be sorry. If that is not your thing, the wedding cookies melt in your mouth

Friendly faces and very personable owners, and a Italian style grocery in the front. The prices for the sandwich I ordered was $20 for 1/2 a sub... so its quite pricey
