My daughter received vaccines during her 4 year wellness check from Nellie Chabarria, a medical assistant who administered them. She is not even a doctor, an assistant and because her pediatrician recently retired they will only schedule appointments with nurses or assistants. The vaccine went terribly wrong it was dtap & mmrv she broke out in a huge rash and when we called they refused to see her. I obviously took her in anyway because the reaction was abnormal and they said they could not see her and forced us to video call from the parking lot for a tele visit with another assistant who did not know what she was doing and was looking up symptoms on the computer since she could not tell us. Her name was ms. Gamble. The next day my daughter had hives covering her face and spread out on every inch of her skin. When we tried going to the facility again they told us they did not have a doctor who could see her and scheduled a 4:20 appointment when she was having an emergency severe reaction. Of course we took her to Phoenix childrens hospital instead because there was no way we were waiting to see someone for 8 hours. The person who administered the vaccine messed up and the way the reaction was handled was the worst experience I’ve ever had. This will most likely be a malpractice lawsuit. We will do everything we can to make sure these issues are addressed.

I have had really good experiences each time I have come to this facility, so I made them my primary care providers. I even switched my meds to their pharmacy. It’s fast, friendly, and convenient. They are close to my home and they have all my medical information from doctors visit in their system.

Had an appointment about a month ago for restless leg syndrome and lack of sleep... the provider wanted me to get a tetanus shot BUT did not address my leg or sleep issue. She said we will address one issue at a time starting next time you come- what? Umm no I don't have time for that... I need assistance the first time I come🤦‍♀️. Won't be going back there!! #wasteoftime

my father in law and I saw Andrea L. Harris on March 2nd 2022 in the office. We went in there to get a DNR filled out. Andrea came in and started harassing my father-in-law about his blood pressure which is naturally high when he comes into the doctor's office. I asked her if she was going to sign the DNR and she said she wasn't qualified to while continuing to ask him to please just take this medication so that she won't worry so much. She told us to come back so that Heather Sullivan could see my dad and sign the DNR. How is someone qualified to prescribe medication but not qualify to sign a DNR at the request of the patient? After at least 15 minutes of harassing him about the medications she wanted him to take that actually interfere with his insulin medication she asked me to leave the room which I did but she didn't tell me how to get to the waiting room so I just had to stand outside of the office. When I came back in someone came in to take his blood pressure at the end of the appointment and it was 196 over 75. Andrea came back in to the room and got into my dad's face and started to say something about the blood pressure and I told him that we were leaving before she could say what she wanted to say. I imagine she wanted to have him hospitalized. I feel like she harassed my dad to the point that his blood pressure was so high that he could have had a stroke. I found out later that my own daughter has run into Andrea before at another office when she was 16 years old. She was insisting that she agree to intravenous iron putting a lot of pressure on her against her will.

I love this new community health center.. my PCP is here and it's usually an in and out thing when I have my appointments. The staff is very nice and helpful and I love the new look and cleaniness of the place! The best part is that there is a Pharmacy so when my doctors prescribe medications for me I don't have to go anywhere to pick them up it's there in the Health Center so that's very convenient.

Dr Alphonso or whatever his name is, has no business dealing with children. He made my little sister feel totally insecure. Doctors are supposed to make people (especially kids) feel safe and secure and he did the total opposite. Would recommend any other doctor over this guy. He wouldn’t even touch her neck to check for lumps, he acted like she came in for no reason even thought she had symptoms. At one point he wasn’t even trying to make sense

Yesterday, I encountered an unfortunate lack of assistance and support when I accompanied my grandmother to her appointment. Our experience with Amanda, the nurse practitioner, left much to be desired. She appeared dismissive of my grandmother's healthcare needs and became overwhelmed with even the most basic information and concerns related to her well-being. Amanda informed us that we could only address three concerns during the appointment and suggested making another appointment for additional issues. Unfortunately, Amanda seemed disinterested in our concerns and appeared to lack the knowledge necessary to provide meaningful assistance. Her primary focus seemed to be meeting a 20-minute time limit rather than addressing our needs. Leaving the facility, we were left feeling confused and deeply concerned about the lack of empathy Amanda had shown. I attempted to communicate our disappointment, but Amanda became defensive and unresponsive to our feedback

I called many times to make an appointment and no one picks up the phone. Hard to believe that they are so busy that the cannot even pick up and say "please wait". There must be something else wrong there. Makes me think that it would not be a good idea to go for health care there. I'll try somewhere else.

Because of years of experiences with apathetic Dr's and staff I had become completely put off by going to the Dr's office. So much so that i'd rather put my health at risk than just go in and get a routine checkup. That all changed recently. My family talked me into checking out the ValleyWise Health Center off of 35th avenue and Southern. I'm so glad they did. I honestly have the best care team ever. Starting from the receptionist she was super nice and we even joked a little bit. That carried onto the MA that weighed me and measured me. She had a warm and caring personality. She made me feel very comfortable. Dr.Saugstad and Dr. Kumar are the best physicians I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. There is no doubt that they truly care about their patients. I felt fully informed and all my worries and my mind was put at ease after just a few minutes with each Dr. as well as with the test results in the days to come by Dr. Kumar. At this point I was already sold and realized the good things I was hearing about this facility were indeed true. Then she walked into the room..My patient navigator Edeline Plaisival,MSW and literally changed my life.I know it sounds a little dramatic, but the years of stress she took off of me, allowed me to begin finally mourning my father after 2 years, and finally gave me some closure. I actually think I'm underselling her. She gave me resources to fix my house my father left me, made an appointment to address my mental health concerns I've been too busy to make myself, resources on how to apply for long term care for my elderly mother that recently moved in with me, as well as locations for cooling stations we could go to because I made a comment that we didn't have accurate A/C in the heat. I didn't ask her for these things. I was just venting on my frustrations and she actually listened..to all of them...and in the 15 min or less that I was wrapping up my visit she had addressed them all. AMAZING. Truly. I didn't get to thank her. I hope she sees this. I hope they all do because I love this place. I love the staff. And I've had a change of heart about all of it. Thank god. Since my father passed away I actually have hope for my health and well being. As well as my future..And that's everything . Thank you❤️

No one answers the phone. Pricinv is not transparent. Its impossible to make an appointment unless you have two hours to wait around. Not worth it.

The staff at these places are negligent and incompetent. I've been trying for 2 MONTHS to get a prescription filled and they can't seem to get it to the pharmacy. SERISOUSLY!!!!! 2 months of going around and around in circles. There's no obvious problem. PHarmacy says they send the prescription, then cancel it. I can't get a hold of anyone who can help or knows what to do. I would recommend finding a doctor that does not work for these clowns.

If you call they will answer the phone and put you on hold while they try to locate someone, only to come back and converse with other staff members and HANG UP ON YOU. When you call back they will immediately put you on hold without so much as a hello. Then transfer you to whomever they want with no explanation to you the caller or the person they transfer you to. So then when the receiver of your call gets on the line they are rude and condescending and rush you off the phone as if your call is an imposition or waste of their time. DO BETTER!!!!! Train your staff on how to properly answer the phone, discern what the caller needs and THEN route the call to the appropriate person in your office.

The experience was fast and knowledgeable. The best part of my visit was getting my blood drawn (which usually takes multiple tries at other places) only took less than 5 minutes here.

I don’t think they’re aware it’s not a good idea to keep people in the single room for over hour. Most Valleywise staff are not friendly or maybe they are only friendly to setting people. New clinic and poor services.

Appointment scheduling - Jose was superb; accommodating and knew his stuff. Reception area - the receptionists were all attentive, friendly and efficient. We dealt with 3 different ones during our trying situation with our insurance company. Dr. Mahan Kahn and Dr. Juan Kamar 5 🌟 Excellent listeners and problem solvers with reasonable wait time = Dr. perfection. They were just great with us. Kind, great communication, feedback and follow through. We hope they hang around. Cleanliness - excellent. The facility was very clean inside and wall hand sanitizer was in good supply. The outside could have more pleasing esthetics, but since this wouldn’t keep me away, it doesn’t affect my rating; there’s plenty of good parking, which does affect it. I would recommend ValleyWise in Laveen to anyone I love looking for superb care. Thank you, all. You made this much smoother for us. We appreciate you all.

The pharmacy closes at 5. Those of us who actually work have a hard time getting there in time. Might have to switch pharmacies. You should change the times of business on your website.

Been reported that they employ a nurse who throws rocks at stray animals to get it away from the building when it showed NO aggression whatsoever. Disgusting!
